xxxxxTry as he might, Sariel found his thoughts drifting back to that lonely beach. Even after all these years, he could still remember the feel of the sand against his body and the sound of the waves as they crashed against the rocks on beach, spraying the air. He could remember the feel of the wind against his bare skin and the sun in his eyes. Before, there was nothing. No single memory existed before that moment, try as he might. He had seen the rise and fall of nations. He had fought against man and god alike, but he could not remember his own creation. Maybe this moment on the beach was his creation, or perhaps, the moment be went from a mortal man to a living deity. He pushed the thought from his mind once more drifting to a different memory.
He now stood on a stone pavilion, overlooking a picture perfect coastal village. Birds were flying overhead and children ran through the streets with sticks, fighting one another. In another part of the village, women stood around a low fire, sharing the stories of the day and newest rumors as they prepared a midday meal for the men. Sariel walked away from the overlook, moving under the shade of a large, stone colonnade, laying down on a day bed. In an instant, a golden cup appeared in his hand, filled to the brim with the finest wine. A cool breeze swept over him as he took a sip from his cup, and once more, his mind was blown from memory to memory.
Sariel found himself on the same stone floor, now riddled with cracks and debris, looking out over the burnt husk of a village. In place of birds and children playing, there was only silence and the occasional pop of the smoldering wood. The sweet smell of the ocean, replaced by the smell of burnt wood and charred flesh. Sariel cursed himself for letting his mind wander to the moment of his greatest failure. He was a shepard and had not kept a watchful eye on his flock, and now they were gone. Everyday, he let himself be haunted by the same memories, a pitiful penance for his failure to protect them when they needed him most. It had all happened so quickly. He had made their village, risen them to prominence in the region, and as he was wont to do, he left them, traveling the world to see the marvels that man was building with his own hands. He had returned, expecting the find his village prospering, only to find that another Pagan had laid waste to his people, claiming their treasures and young for his own. By the time Sariel had arrived, the only life in the village were the birds, picking clean the bones of the dead, many still hanging from crosses and spears in the middle of the village.
Sariel cursed the Gods and the other Pagans. As he walked through the village, he raised a single fist into the air, swearing to have vengeance in this life or the next on all the Gods who had simply stood by and let such a slaughter happen. He would rise above them, and then he would take all they held dear. Now, he bides his time, traveling the world until he is strong enough to finally do battle with the very gods themselves.

Personality: Sophia is a patron saint of the weak and hopeless. Never one to stand by, Sophia actively tries to protect and empower those that cannot defend or help themselves. xxxxxBorn a Warden in South Fraxon, life wasn't always easy for Sophia. Humans abounded everywhere and despite her efforts to blend in, she still felt an outsider to many of them. This was after all the de facto kingdom of mankind. Instead of allowing herself to be ostracised by society, Sophia fought for a position of recognition. She like many of the youth of Fraxon were swayed by the then Emperor, Raphael.
Once she was old enough, Sophia did not hesitate to join the Fraxon military where she hoped to follow Raphael. Sophia followed, enthralled by his leadership no matter how many battles were fought or what was asked. The moment of Raphael's ascension was almost bittersweet. Where there had been an Emperor, there was now a god but it felt as if there was a void now. Fraxon no longer had its one true ruler.
For one so enthralled by Raphael it was only natural that Sophia quickly converted to Mazdakism despite the strict warnings of the Vangelists in control of Fraxon City following Raphael's departure. These warnings eventually came to open fighting within the very walls of the city. It was here that Sophia raised her fist to Vangelism for the first time, openly fighting against their forces outside the Red Borough before coming face to face with both Raphael and Uriel. With the guidance of both gods, an uneasy truce was struck in the city and life seemed to slowly return to normal.
With conflict between the Vangelists and Mazdakii all but forbidden within the city, Sophia instead turned her attention to the dark corners of the Kingdom. Those corners were demons and monsters flocked and congregated, practicing their arcane and paganistic rituals. These were the true enemies of Fraxon.

Pagan God Ability
Talent Name: Pagan God of Matter Talent Description: Sariel holds dominion over all matter in the universe, and can control it at will. He can create walls out of nothing, summon mighty fortifications with a simple motion, and even remove cities from the face of the earth, should he have enough power. The only real limitation to Sariel's power is his energy pool and his imagination. Lower amounts of energy like C rank can only create small walls, weapons, etc, while SSS rank power can remove entire portions of a city, or create them. The way this is done is through the manipulation of matter, changing the compounds in the targeted area. Metal can be turned into liquid water and air particles can be reformed into steel for example. Once he creates something, he can also manipulate it for the duration of that post, unless otherwise specified. This skill cannot be used on RPCs or within 10 feet of an RPC with the sole exception being when an enemy RPC is attacking Sariel in close range. Sariel can also change the compounds and breakdown the materials in an enemy attack for equal energy, effectively negating the attack. Outside of combat, this ability can be used to do anything from change the material of his clothes to forming water and food out of thin air. Skill
Dominion over Matter Passive - SSS Sariel can change the matter around him freely. This allows him to create literally anything he wants out of anything else. The only limit to creation is his imagination and his own energy pool. This cannot be used on an RPC's own matter but everything else is fair game. Once matter is created, Sariel can manipulate it for the remainder of the post, allowing him to fire off projectile masses or have movable shields, etc. At SSS rank, Sariel can literally manipulate the matter in an entire city district, should he have ample time to concentrate. Sariel cannot create things that he doesn't have knowledge of, such as atomic weaponry or materials obtained from Gods. Things such as automobiles or complex weapons are not beyond the realm of possibility however.
Character Talent
Talent Name: Gravitons Talent Description: Through his ability to create matter at will and extensive study, Sariel has the ability to create Graviton Particles, the basic matter that controls the force of attraction between objects. This grants him access to the Gravity Element. Talent Weakness: Sariel loses access to all styles and elements except for his Pantheon and Gravity. All Gravity techniques also cost one rank more due to the strain of creating such particles and can never benefit from any potency boost. How did the character get this talent?: Intense study over hundreds of years and the innate ability to create matter at will.
Skills
Let's Get Moving A Rank Sariel manipulates the gravity effecting his allies and techniques, increasing their speed by 2 for the next 5 posts. This gravity area extends outward from Sariel, only effecting those within 50 yards of him. Anything that moves beyond this range slows down to its normal level instantly. This lessened gravity effect also makes the targets weigh less, making acrobatic feats more possible and allowing even the weakest to jump upwards of 10 feet in the air.
Slow Down Big Boy A Rank Sariel targets his enemy's gravitational field, increasing several fold, slowing them down by 2 speed and making it difficult for them to even hop, let alone jump. It will feel as if their own feet weigh a hundred pounds a piece and that they are moving through thick mud as they walk. This skill cannot be used if Let's Get Moving is active.
Better, Faster, Stronger Passive When not using any other Graviton Techniques, Sariel's own techniques have their speed increased by 2. This does not effect Sariel himself, not does it effect the speed at which techniques are created, only the speed they move.
Gravity Well A-SSS Sariel creates an immense mass of matter and Gravitons, drawing in everything within a 20 yard radius (50 at S, 100 at SS, 225 at SSS). Anything that is drawn in is merged with the gravitational mass and is irreversibly lost. It takes a speed of 8 ( 9 at S, 10 at SS, 12 at SSS) to consistently resist the pull of gravity. Physical projectiles cannot harm the mass as they are absorbed into it, making the only way to destroy the mass a large scale, area of effect magic attack.
Negative G-Force E-SSS Sariel can control both positive and negative G-Forces, allowing him to reverse gravity on an attack, there by pushing it away from him. This only works on projectile style attacks and does not effect Area of Effect abilities such as explosions. Sariel does not take control of the ability, instead it reverses it's direction completely, going back the way it came.
Positive G-Force E-SSS Sariel creates orbs of pure gravitational force that upon impact with a target, exert massive amounts of force on the target, enough to shatter bones, break concrete, warp metal, etc. At E rank, this creates 2 orbs, doubling every rank (2/4/8/16/32/64/128/256).
Wrath of a Mad God SS-SSS Sariel creates a massive ball of rock in the sky (2 at SSS). The ball is 100 yards wide and is formed at 1000 feet in the air. By all accounts, it appears to be a large meteorite. Sariel doesn't stop here, instead he increases the gravity of the orb by 100 times, causing it to slam into the round near instantaneously with unimaginable force.
Crush D-A Sariel makes physical contact with his target, causing an instant transfer of gravitons to the target. For every rank of energy, the target's weight is doubled and their speed is reduced by 1. At A rank, the target will barely be able to breathe due to the immense pressure on his body, let alone walk.

Talent Name: The Shield of Mazdakism Talent Description: Sophia excels at defending herself and her allies, focusing almost entirely on it. She is always at the front, an immovable force for her allies to rally around.
Skills
Guardian C Rank During combat, Sophia can near instantaneously appear in front of any ally on the battlefield and block an attack intended for them, and she receives a one rank damage reduction for that post. This can be done up to three times per battle, and only once per post with a one post cooldown.
Bastion of Hope B Rank per post Sophia yells out some inspirational quote, radiating energy from her body that applies a one rank damage reduction to all her allies for one post. While Sophia is the Bastion of Hope, she is unable to use any other skills that require energy.
The Wall C-SSS Rank Sophia will drop her weapon and use both hands to lift her shield. At the same time, the shield will emit an energy barrier, extending several feet in every direction, blocking both physical and magic attacks that hit it while simultaneously allowing allied attacks to pass through it.
Let Me Be Your Shield Passive During combat, Sophia can pick one ally to shield. All damage taken by this ally is instead done to Sophia. If the target Sophia is shielding receives lethal damage, it will not be transferred and the ally will instead take the damage. Sophia can change her ally at any time as long as the target is within 25 feet. If the ally moves beyond 125 feet, they will no longer be shielded.
Aura of Bravery Passive Sophia is such a dominant figure on the battlefield, she radiates an Aura of Bravery, inspiring all allies around her. This does not give them any stat boost but instead makes them want to be as brave as Sophia. Enemies meanwhile will seem to want to run in fear. Sophia will appear to shine and her injuries will appear less noticeable, like attacks aren't phasing her.
Talent Weakness: This talent focuses almost completely on defense and limits Sophia's ability to formulate an offense. To be of the most effect, Sophia must be fighting with at least one ally. How did the character get this talent?:

• Pagans are incapable of marking themselves. It is one of the many things that sets them apart from the True Gods. They are however, capable of communing with the leftover remnants of dead gods, such as Zachariah, Kaminae, and Elissia. Instead of earning their favor, the Pagan subverts them and manipulates their Souls to steal their power, in essence, allowing them to create a Mark of their own from the stolen power.
The Pagan has two choices, they can either copy the dead god's mark, or manipulate their raw energy into forming a new mark of their very own, stylized to the users preference. Like Vaet Diabolos, marks increase in power as the Pagan grows in power, gaining the ability to create their first mark at Adept, second at Expert, 3rd at Master, and the 4th mark coming after a lengthy custom mission where the Pagan finally realizes their dream of creating their own self-glorifying religion (or attempting to join an existing religion). This must be approved by either a VC or Captain and will be incredibly lengthy as you are literally attempting to reach every Pagan's goal, becoming your own God.

Weapon Name: Resolve Weapon Rank: Novice Weapon Type: Vanguard Claimed Weapon (Shield) Weapon Description: A large tower shield emblazoned with a relief of a large eagle. Image Weapon Passive Abilities: • Take Some, Give Some [ Passive ]: When using Resolve to block attacks, the shield absorbs the kinetic energy of the impact, storing it for later use. This builds a charge, up to a maximum of ten charges. These charges form the basis of some of Resolve's abilities. (Blocked attacks can include spells and techniques.) Resolve starts combat with 2 Charges. Charges built last until the end of battle. • Resolve [ Varies ]: Resolve's signature ability, this shield is nearly unbreakable, and for equal cost, can block any attack from the front, protecting not only the wielder but anyone standing behind them. Using energy to block an attack still generates a charge. • Vigilance [ Passive ]: With such a large shield, it is difficult for any tank to have good visibility on the battlefield, and it is nigh impossible for them to see everything. Instead, the Eagle on the shield will detach itself, taking flight to circle above the user, granting them 360 degree vision. While the Eagle is in flight, everything it sees is transmitted to the user's mind through Resolve. Weapon Activated Abilities: • Shockwave [ 2-4 Charges - C-A Rank ]: The user releases a concentrated wave of kinetic energy from their shield, knocking back anything in front of them with enough force to shatter bones. • Stomp [ 1 Charge - D Rank ]: The user slams the shield on the ground, releasing kinetic energy into the ground, causing any enemy within 15 feet to be knocked down and staggered for a brief moment while they stand back up. • Intercept [ 1 Charge ]: Instead of using the kinetic energy of the shield offensively, the user releases it like a jet of propulsion, accelerating them forward at +2 speed. • Stand Fast [ 1 Charge ]: By expending a charge, the user can resist any technique that would otherwise push them back, stagger them, knock them over, or stun them. • Slam [ 1-5 Charges C-SS Rank ]: The user swings Resolve forward, slamming it into their target, unleashing a massive amount of kinetic energy upon impact. Each charge spent increases the user's strength by 1 for this single motion.

Strengths • Thunder God's Aura: Upon entering combat, Sophia is immediately surrounded by an aura of lightning, expanding in a 10 foot circle around her. The aura charges the air around her with lightning that damage those that engage in melee combat with her for C rank damage passively. While the aura is active, Sophia's lightning and Warden abilities have their potency increased by an additional 25% and she gains damage immunity. The aura can be disrupted by attacks above A Rank and is disrupted for Sophia's next post. Sophia can prevent the aura from being disrupted by paying the same energy cost as the ability used against it. Certain sub-class abilities can only be used while under the effect of Thunder God's Aura. • Herald of Storms: Sophia gains access to an additional 'Claimed' weapon, Vox Domini (To be submitted through custom weapons thread.)
Weaknesses • Sophia must engage enemies in close range to take full advantage of the class and even taunt an enemy into attacking her. • Once the Aura is broken, Sophia loses access to most of the benefits provided by this subclass.
Techniques • Explosive Discharge [ A Rank - Requires Thunder God's Aura] Sophia will channel extra energy into the aura surrounding her, causing it flash for a moment before exploding outward 20 feet in all direction, capable of sending even seasoned soldiers flying with moderate electrical burns.
• Static Cling [ C Rank ] Upon successfully landing a hit against an enemy with either physical or energy based attacks, Sophia can apply Static Cling to the enemy. Static Cling makes it harder for enemies to avoid future attacks as they are now drawn to the enemy and follow them. That cling persists for 3 posts from the time the target is first hit. Damage caused by the passive effect of Thunder God's Aura automatically applies Static Cling.
• Thunder God's Vigor [ B Rank - Requires Thunder God's Aura ] Through extensive training, Sophia has learned to control her own Lightning to such a degree that it can be used to not only harm enemies, but grant a boon to her allies. Forming a bolt of lighting in her palm, Sophia will hit an ally, sending a shock through their nervous system and mind causing two things. The first effect is to free them from any mind altering or body controlling effects by effectively resetting their body through the massive surge. Second, an ally would feel instantly refreshed in a similar manner to electroshock therapy. This increases the allies stats by +1/+1 for two turns. Sophia can use this skill on herself but does not benefit from the stat boost however she still feels refreshed.
• Tribunal of Storms [ S-SSS Rank - Requires Thunder God's Aura] Tribunal of Storms is a multi-post skill. During the first post, Sophia will raise her fist into the sky, firing a charged bolt of lightning into the sky, causing the immediate formation of a massive thunderstorm overhead that covers the entire battlefield. The real attack begins at the beginning of the second post when Sophia chooses a target on the battlefield. Standing in front of the target, Sophia will once again raise her arm upwards before quickly pointing her arm at the designated target. Immediately, several bolts of lightning will instantly strike around the target, forming a circle around the target. At the site of each strike, a lightning copy of Sophia will stand, complete with Aura. A moment later, Sophia and all of the copies will expel a massive surge of lightning from their bodies, similar to Explosive Discharge but much greater in power. As the shockwaves travel towards the target, they unify into a singular force around the enemy, crushing them between the force of multiple blasts.
• Raphael's Challenge [A-SS Rank] During battle, Sophia can choose a singular enemy to challenge. The enemy immediately shifts focus to Sophia and is forced to engage in 'one on one' combat against her, acting as a taunt. Sophia gains one rank of damage reduction against the taunted enemy and is always aware of their location unless they use a skill to hide their presence or they leave the thread. The taunted enemy must focus their attacks against Sophia unless they use an AoE attack but in the event of an AoE attack, it must be centered against Sophia. The challenge can be broken after the second turn by spending equal energy that was used to cast the technique. If not broken, the challenge persists for five turns.

Skills
Guardian C Rank During combat, Sophia can near instantaneously appear in front of any ally on the battlefield and block an attack intended for them, and she receives a one rank damage reduction for that post. This can be done up to three times per battle, and only once per post with a one post cooldown.
Bastion of Hope B Rank per post Sophia yells out some inspirational quote, radiating energy from her body that applies a one rank damage reduction to all her allies for one post. While Sophia is the Bastion of Hope, she is unable to use any other skills that require energy.
The Wall C-SSS Rank Sophia will drop her weapon and use both hands to lift her shield. At the same time, the shield will emit an energy barrier, extending several feet in every direction, blocking both physical and magic attacks that hit it while simultaneously allowing allied attacks to pass through it.
Let Me Be Your Shield Passive During combat, Sophia can pick one ally to shield. All damage taken by this ally is instead done to Sophia. If the target Sophia is shielding receives lethal damage, it will not be transferred and the ally will instead take the damage. Sophia can change her ally at any time as long as the target is within 25 feet. If the ally moves beyond 125 feet, they will no longer be shielded.
Aura of Bravery Passive Sophia is such a dominant figure on the battlefield, she radiates an Aura of Bravery, inspiring all allies around her. This does not give them any stat boost but instead makes them want to be as brave as Sophia. Enemies meanwhile will seem to want to run in fear. Sophia will appear to shine and her injuries will appear less noticeable, like attacks aren't phasing her.
Talent Weakness: Sophia can only learn two offensive weapons styles. This talent focuses almost completely on defense. How did the character get this talent?:
