APPEARANCE
Lissa is 5'7" and built like a brick house, with sturdy shoulders and powerful arms. Don't be fooled by her stocky appearance, however--years on a high school wrestling team make her a slippery catch and a nimble combatant. Her skin is tan and heavily freckled, especially across the bridge of her prominent nose, and her face is angular, set with bright hazel eyes and thin lips that are usually curled into some form of smirk. Lissa's hair is perhaps the biggest part about her--it's dark brown, curly, and almost unmanageably thick, falling to just under her shoulder blades when it's down. She's taken to shaving the sides for a bit of an undercut look in the summertime, and has been known to braid the top part during extra-curricular activities.
Lissa likes clothing that promotes her ability to be active, athletic fabrics and low cuts that don't restrict her ability to move. She gets hot easily, so she tends to wear as little as she can get away with, and likes warm colors and bold patterns in her wardrobe. She's actually least comfortable in her standard uniform, when she has to wear it--too stuffy, too blue, and people look at her differently with it on.
PERSONALITY
Charismatic - Lissa's armed with honeyed words and a set of eyes that promise mischief, and she can empathize with anyone looking to have a good time. She's fun, and an avid yes-man as long as the question is something interesting, and she takes it upon herself to liven any party. People interest her, and her demeanor is usually relaxed enough that others tend to let down their guard, a valuable asset in her line of work.
Hard-working - There are few things Lissa shies away from, the least of which being a hard day's work. She comes from a rags-to-better-rags sort of home, and believes that there's no problem that can't be solved given sufficient elbow grease. She's not big on whining about her problems--if there's something to be done about it, she does it, and if there's nothing she can do, then she ceases to see it as her problem, and she's not sure why other people don't adopt a similar worldview.
Flexible - Lissa's not tied down to much of anything -- a home, a friend group, and certainly not something as immaterial as a schedule. Plans can change on a dime, and no amount of preparation survives first contact with basically anything else, so Lissa's top priority at all times is to be loose and reactive. No matter the situation, Lissa is generally down for whatever, barring those long-term commitments--she doesn't do so well with those.
Impatient - Being so high-energy and driven, it's incredibly difficult for Lissa to sit and wait, whether it's waiting for her birthday or waiting in line at the DMV. If there's not action or suspense to be found, then she's out, and if she's in a situation where she's forced to stand still, then chances are she's going to make some action or suspense for herself. She's learning to curb this behavior for the sake of the office and her job, but progress is slow-going, and there are some at the precinct who consider her a 'loose cannon'.
Messy - Paperwork? Boring. Cleaning? Boring. Lissa makes little time for the more mundane parts of her life, and it wears on her living space, her presentation, and (at her worst) her hygiene. She claims that her messes are 'organized chaos' and that she could find whatever she was looking for if she really needed to, but the truth is she just can't be bothered to spend her time on such busywork.
Confrontational - Lissa's a curious person -- she likes to see what makes people tick, and she likes even more to see what makes them boil over. It's horrible, she knows it, but she just can't resist prodding people to see where she can strike a nerve, to find trouble and exploit it for her own personal entertainment. Her anti-authority streak runs a mile wide, and there's nothing passive-aggressive about her--she will announce if there is beef between someone no matter what, even at personal risk to herself or others. Most of this stems from a deep need to be seen, noticed, and recognized--she's got an ego to feed, and if it's hungry she's going for blood.
DEITY
Lissa's always had something of a slippery lifestyle, and even though she's trying to play it straight these days, there's always going to be that itch to survive at any cost. Hermes chooses her for her resourcefulness and wit, even if she is a bit jockish to be one of his usual champions, and is a valuable asset being a member of law-enforcement.
