Once upon a week ago, a god decided to play a game with mortals, testing how long it would take one Elizabeth Rivera to go stir-crazy given free range of a lavish training grounds on the banks of a Great Lake.
As it turns out, the answer is about two and a half days.
It took hardly any amount of time for Lissa to get a feel for the perimeter as well as scout out each of the dorms, though no one outside of Hermes House seemed to take kindly to her just loafing around in each of the common areas (just to see what would happen). There was nothing she knew how to make in the studio, cooking and swimming were for squares, and for a summer camp she found herself at a lack for actual arts and crafts.
At least there was a gym, and it was a beautiful gym, with all sorts of crazy s**t Lissa had never even seen before. She took to it like a kid in a candy store--even if she got bored running laps around the facility, she could always lift weights until she couldn't feel her arms. The tan woman found a free bar and began loading up weights, grinning smugly to herself as she added plate after plate to her satisfaction. It certainly looked impressive enough, but when it came down to actually powdering up and lifting the thing, she found an unusual amount of resistance.
"Hey, Chica," she called out smoothly to a cute pair of shorts in her line of sight. "Ever done a spot before? Help a friend, I'll return the favor."

Most of her training revolved around stamina building and working on her technique against the dummies provided or a punching bag but at least twice a week Alex would do weight training. It was important to keep her body in peek physical condition both out of habit and personal drive as well as the impending duties impressed upon her by deities. The woman had yet to see any monsters but she wasn't so narrow minded to believe that they didn't exist.
No, Alexandra Kingsley knew that monsters existed in all shapes and forms. It was merely a matter of deciphering what type of skin those monsters preferred.
She'd been doing some core exercises when a voice filled the room, wafting over to her like an irritating fly and she stopped, acutely aware that the woman was speaking to her. They were the only ones currently occupying the gym and so, after taking a deep breath to sooth the irritation that flared within her the brunette turned to find the owner of the voice. The expression on her face was a hard one, because Alex approached everything as though it was a problem needing to be solved and already her mind was whirling, seeking a way to decline so she could focus on her own workout but -
She knew that teamwork was an essential part of being successful when it came to combat-oriented careers, except for mercenaries and bounty hunters perhaps, and she didn't know what they'd be up against. So, Alex pressed her lips together in a thin line and nodded her head curtly. "You'll get twenty minutes," she declared sharply, tone implying it was non-negotiable.
