Night falls on the town of Inaba, but something terrifying lurks beneath the surface of things. A cauldron of evil that has been bubbling for a long time, a staredown across the abyss which has lingered for time beyond count, has at last seen a spark which will ignite the flames of war. And with this war, it at last comes to this...the Endtimes.
...You awaken to the feeling of a great upheaval, and all the world around you seems to change, buildings twisting and being lifted into the air and crashing back to Earth. All around you, the people, the things, the land beneath your feet seems to be destroyed and left in rubble and destroyed again, landing in rocky heaps and wrecked streets of what had once been a city. Fire spews at times from the cracks in the Earth...and from great chasms emerge the two sides of this Great War that has shaken the world to the very core. Demons...denizens of Hell, under the command of the Four Horsemen and the True Evil Demi-Fiend himself, Tala, comprise one force...and chaotic Devils under the command of the Trickster God himself and his Jotun Generals Fenrisulfr, Hel, and Jormungandr who seek to supplant him. And yet, as the world is overturned and cities slowly are reduced to rubble by the fighting...there is a third group slowly forming...from the ashes of a fallen Hell, a specter of the Underworld.
And in the center of all of this, you find yourself stepping out of your wrecked homes, coffee shops, schools...into an unknown world thrust into a war to end all wars. The Apocalypse has come...Hell on Earth.
You open your phone to call your friends as the world settles into a red sky, wrecked cities, and a foul air surrounding you in every direction, but no signal can be found. Power is out throughout the city. Only a strange application on your phone can be accessed...a familiar App, but not entirely the same. It is an App called 'Cathedral of Shadows'. A single video appears on your friend's phone, and in it, you appear...in that video, you die. A voice from within your phone speaks to you [an annoyingly peppy female or a stuffed-shirt, snarky butler] and asks you an important question: Do you want to live?
If the answer is yes, your adventure begins...

Level 45 (Unknown pre-requisite): Hell Biker (42) - Add numbers 100, 200, 300, 400, 500, 600, 700, 800, and 900 to the list of Defeat Major Enemy rolls as Hell Biker offers assistance.
Level 42: Ose (40) - Earn an additional Token per roll. Level 51-57: Sakahagi (51) - Earn an additional 5 Tokens every time you roll a Possession. Tokens are left by a mysterious entity in return for blood vial sacrifices offered by Sakahagi.
Level 57-65: Futomimi (63) - Can be used to avoid death one time per-day by replacing yourself with a manikin.
Level 65-70: The Harlot (69) - Earn 5 Macca every post you don't die. Reach 200 Macca for a special prize!
Level 71-80: Trumpeter (76) - Use "Holy Melody" on enemy horde to gain 3 Tokens during 2-999 rolls, OR use "Evil Melody" on enemy horde to gain 25 tokens instantly, but lose the ability to use "Holy Melody" or "Evil Melody" again that day.

Survivors/Cernunnos Alliance NPCs Obelyn Cernunnos - Major NPC. Driving force behind the surviving Humans seeking to end the War of the Endtimes. May or may not be responsible for the Summoning App, and definitely is responsible for the power of the Cernunnos Spirit Crystals. Openly seeks a violent retribution against the Trickster God and Lucifer for past transgressions against his family...travels with his personal guard, including Ravenna. Possesses the Candelabrum of Compassion, though whether it came to him naturally as a 'Fiend' or he took it from the corpse of a victim of his vengeance remains a mystery. This makes a final encounter with him, at some point, inevitable to some...but whether this encounter is friendly or violent is likely determinant on who they are and how they should approach him...
Trickster God Loki's Army NPCs Jormungandr - A young man with silver hair and a serpent's eyes, he has a sharp tongue and tends to complain about his father's tricks, his siblings eccentricities, and the world in general a lot. Is actually the World Serpent, child of Loki, and may transform into a MASSIVE snake which spews a deadly miasma in combat. One of the Main Leaders of Trickster God Loki's Army.
Hel - A strange, mid-20s looking woman with half of a woman's body and half of a skeletal body. Narcissistic to an unreasonable degree and demands the admiration of those who meet her, believing herself to be the one true Queen of Hel and the Underworld. Does not get along with her sharp-tongued and no-nonsense siblings, but is certainly her father's pet in terms of seeking approval. Can instigate an advanced and rapid decomposition in things she touches with her skeletal fingers in a matter of seconds, and this ability cannot be stopped once it takes effect! Only removal of the marked spot before it spreads further can prevent total disintegration. One of the Main Leaders of the Trickster God Loki's Army, and supplier of most of its force from the devils of the Underworld under her rule.
Fenrisulfr - A taciturn man with long white hair and a large, white wolf-pelt cloak around his shoulders. He says very little and speaks in a deep, quiet tone even when annoyed, but his tongue is sharp and to the point when he does speak, eschewing small talk in lieu of action. Easily the most intimidating, serious, and deadly of the Children of Loki, and the prime Leader of the Trickster God Loki's Army, his true identity is that of the Wolf of Ragnarok, Fenrir, and he may transform into a massive wolf with a deadly Dark/Ice breath when required for combat. Despite his quiet, cultured, and no-nonsense nature, there is a hint of something behind his eyes that is perhaps surprising...honor, is it? Or perhaps, a microcosm of compassion...?
Lucifer's Army NPCs Tala Ivanov - The Ultimate Weapon of the Fallen Angel Lucifer, a True Chaos Demi-Fiend and the General of the Armies of Hell. Save perhaps his master, there is no more terrifying or dangerous foe to encounter in this Hell on Earth. What he seeks in his role is unclear...perhaps he only wishes to inflict pain and overturn the world the Gods made with chaos...or perhaps, in the upheaval of all that is, there is something personal that he seeks. All that is certain is that he stands the final test for any who would seek to confront his 'master' (though he would not call him such a thing) directly, and stands beyond the might of anyone as they are now...nor would any group assembled likely be enough to permanently topple him as they are. But at the end of the world, a great many things that were impossible may yet become possible...should the opportunity arise. [Cannot be encountered naturally during NPC Rolls! Must be encountered as a plot-relevant encounter, by Arena Emperor's intervention.]
Neutral Alignment NPCs Dante the Demonslayer - A hunter of demons, woo'er of ladies, and an eater of pizza. Hired by the Crows as a bounty hunter to take out several specific targets on the Field of this war, Dante has already claimed the Candelabrum of Knowledge from a previous mark in this Tournament...making an encounter with him, for some, inevitable. What becomes of it down the line, however, remains unknown perhaps even to himself.
Isamu Nitta: A teenager, with a bit of a whiny nature....coupled with bouts of extreme cockiness. Despite being all talk, he gives off an impression of laziness, and fear. One of three humans that survived the Conception...and are wandering about for some Reason.
Chiaki Hayasaka: A teenager, who came from a wealthy family, and gives off an air of intelligence and superiority......Looking down on those less driven. Despite her nature, she tends to show a keen admiration in someone, if they're giving it their all. One of three humans that survived the Conception, and are wandering about for some Reason.
Hikawa: An adult that wears a suit, and was formerly known as the head of a large communications company, called the Cybers....And, in darker circles, as a high ranking officer in the Cult of Gaea. A mysterious, methodical man, with very few (If any) emotions in his personality, and actions. One of three humans that survived the Conception, and are wandering about for some Reason.

The Candelabrum and the Path of Lucifer
One of the many ongoing battles between [Law] and [Chaos] in the world is the Battle for the Candelabrum. This Tournament, in which Fiends of Lucifer battle one another for possession of cursed items known as Candelabrum, was conceived by the Fallen Angel himself for an unknown purpose. By nature, those humans who have transcended their humanity and become what are known as Demi-Fiends are drafted into this contest with others of Lucifer's choosing...with only one able to emerge from the Tournament as the victor...
In order to participate in this Tournament, you must either be given a Candelabrum by Lucifer himself, be given a Candelabrum by one of the Fiends holding them, or take one from a Fiend who holds one of the Candelabrum.

Candelabrums endow their holders with a unique ability which can be awakened over the course of this event. For the small price of 25 Tokens, you may awaken a special ability granted by a Candelabrum. Some NPCs may already have these abilities unlocked.
Universally, those who hold the Candelabra may traverse the Amala Network between cities freely!
Foundation: Kisa - Foundation of Strength - Gain +1 Token on every roll, including death. Eternity: Soji Seta - Everlasting Bond - Gain/Give +2 during Fate Links instead of +1. Can MAX his Fate Links any day (and be MAX'd in return). Dignity: Kisa - Regal Gaze - When rolling a Fate Link, may raise more than one person in a turn three times per-day. Wisdom: Kisa - Wise Master - When rolling 4001-4999 or 5001-5999, enslave the small horde of demons using your Candelabrum temporarily to gather 5 extra Tokens of treasure for you that turn. Majesty: Kisa - Majestic Glow - Sacrifice 1 Token instead of 25 one time per-day to endure a Fatal blow. Knowledge: Kisa - Experienced Hunter - After posting at least one time on every day of the Hell on Earth event, add numbers 2, 1111, 2222, 3333, 4444, 5555, 6666, 7777, 8888, and 9999 to Kill Rolls on days when participants in the Candelabrum War or Tournament of Bel appear! Kisa will assist you as an ally on kills for these rolls! Beauty: Kisa - Beauty is Forever - Using the Candelabrum to exert your will, summon Narcissus after a possession roll (in which he must be the spirit that possesses you) for the next three turns. In these three turns, Narcissus will gather 3 Tokens per-turn and 10 Macca. Gather 200 Macca before Day 7 and earn a prize... Godliness: Obelyn Cernunnos - Divine Wind - May provide random services (Tokens, Revival, or a Special Demon) to aid those who have obtained a Level 3 Fate Link with Obelyn. Contrary to what you might believe, I am not opposed to this. In fact, I am intrigued by the power among men that allowed you to dispatch the Trumpeter, one of the highest of the Fiends. What you display is a potential far beyond the imagination, and I wish not to see that spark sputter and die, but to grow even brighter, bright enough to blot out the heavens.
Consider my words well, for what we desire is not so very different. I desire for mankind a True Freedom, bereft of the yoke of an uncaring God that allowed an up-jumped Trickster to draw your world into an unnecessary war of Chaos, unconcerned for the collateral damage he has brought you. And you wish for the restoration of this world and mankind's dominion over it.
Our desires need not be divorced from one another. That is to say, we could be allies, if you wish. Those of you who would join me to eliminate the usurper, know that I would reward you well for your service, and at the end of the task, return the Earth to the control of men.
