Kyou Nekata"Did you hear me? I said don't underestimate me, Dammit!" The Tiger of the Nekatas had been knocked down many times before..But, he kept pushing his way up.. And this time was no different. He heard his phone beeping..Talking about one of the demons in turn. 'Abaddon: Devours people that oppose the tyrant-king..' "Who the ******** cares." he spat, as he mashed at a button. "I don't care if you devour people, or if you take them out for nice picnics. I'm not gonna let you lay a hand on my family...And that's ******** THAT!" His phone glew again..and yet another demon was called out. A vicious Chimera of a being....That held a tremendous magical power of it's own. "Mithra...Blast him!" the boy called, watching it focus energy. "Megidola!"
Kou'd be getting up soon...They'd both be getting ready to mount their counterattack.. Kyou would likely pretend it was nothing major...But he was determined to clear the floor out for them, before they could move on. Just to ensure that they could make it to the higher floors.Quote: Demons: Unicorn. [21] Kikuri-Hime. [24]+2 Eligor. [29] Shikome [32]+2 Succubus [37] Okuninushi [40] Baihu [43]+2 Nigi Mitami. Kyou NekataFinally... After a grueling, draining struggle..The Tiger of the Nekatas wiped his hands of the demons that had plagued the floor...And, went back to check on his brother. "Kou.." he started quietly, as the boy would likely be up. "Even though that red guy's bad news....At least...wait for me next time." He wanted to snap at him..He wanted to be mad...And, if he knew Kou's reasons for attacking so blindly, he likely would do the same...But, without that.. "We're brothers, aren't we?" he called, lightly jabbing the serious Lion of the Nekata's in the arm. "We can handle anything..So long as we fight side by side with Kyouko. Don't tell me you forgot that.." No, he couldn't. They had been inseparable all their lives. Even if he'd hit his head on the wall, and developed some form of Amnesia from it, Kou could never forget his family..Or how important they were to each other. Kyou NekataThe Tiger was content after a few moments with his siblings...Assured they weren't going to slip away...Assured they were no longer in any danger.. For the moment, at least. "I'm gonna go ahead and see what I can do for the next one." he called, feeling his phone glow with energy once more. "If it looks to be bad, I'm gonna head right back, and we'll take it on as a team, like we always do. If that red haired b*****d is waiting for us.." He was always like this...always trying to take the lead in a dangerous situation. Yet, despite it all..It wasn't out of malice, or pity for his brother...It wasn't pure bravado... No. It was just 100% pure Kyou The Tiger Nekata, to go ahead, and scout the area for people who needed faces punched...And maybe launch an attack himself.Quote: Auto-Draw Gabriel [87] Demons: Unicorn. Kyou NekataHe wouldn't even need to turn around...He could tell. His 'scouting' plan wouldn't fall through. He said they were inseparable, and he meant it. The boy paced up the stairs to the 16th floor, knowing that Kou and Kyouko would be right on his heels....Making sure he didn't swoop in to take the kills. They were always like this.... Though, between their dogged persistence, between their fun causing havoc, with each other backing them up...There was no other word for it than what it was.... Family. "You're gonna have to be a lot faster than me to catch up after that floor, Kyouko!" he called back, to try to rekindle the flames of competitiveness between them. "And I expect you to give me a good show, Kou. I handled floor 15, so you're gonna have to work double-time on 16 and up!" They were his family...They were his strength... And, as he gripped his phone..He could feel that power flowing through him.. Pushing him to, and past the limits he had.Quote: Fate link with Kyouko! Auto-Fuse Gabriel and Shikome to make...Mot! Kou Nekata, Lion of the Bad Future "Two on one might seem unfair, but I promise you would rather it be US than HER."He barely took a moment before he was back on his feet, but the horde of devils was nearly overwhelming them by the time he was ready to fight. Kyou's efforts had spared him from the worst of the attack, but even then, he'd required the use of his fresh ally Futomimi's mannikin allies to make a clean escape. The train of near-death was something that had him growing increasingly frustrated; standing back up, he checked on Kyouko again before starting forward, only to see that Kyou had cut a path through the horde and left just few enough stragglers that easy clean-up opened the road to the 16th Floor for all of them. His body was still pumping with power and adrenaline as he stood and started forward, but the frustration he felt kept him from filling up with enough rocket fuel to blast up the Tower in one leap like the Ultimate Warrior. Just because he hadn't been able to stop himself from attacking the red-haired fiend, he had been practically played like a fiddle. He cursed under his breath as Kyou reminded him not to run ahead without him, and he had to admit that his brother had a point. The three of them together were damn near unstoppable. Even then, he could feel the overwhelming strength of the Fiend before them just then. If he didn't use that element of surprise...catch him off-guard...
They might never beat him. But he damn well was going to beat him anyway.
"I'm fine. I won't make the same mistake again," he told his brother, reeling a little from a mixture of anger and damaged pride, but he knew that what Kyou said was the truth. They were family, and they would endure whatever came their way as long as they were together. Still...he rolled his arm and slammed his bat purposefully down onto the 15th Floor's carpet, glancing up the 16th Floor stairs before again taking the lead, cooler headed than moments before...but still with an axe to grind with the next set of demons, "We're family. And nothing's going to take us down as long as we're together."Quote: 24 Tokens Demons: Matador [30], Wu Kong [56], Kin-Ki [59], Futomimi [63 - Avoid Death Once-Per Day via a Mannikin - 1/1] Macca (Matador): 70/100 Macca

Kou Nekata, Lion of the Bad Future "Two on one might seem unfair, but I promise you would rather it be US than HER."He didn't say much on the 16th Floor once they were in the middle of the fight; he didn't rightly know what else there was to say anyway, only that he was going to give every last ounce of strength he had to climb this tower, to protect his family, and that if they encountered that red-haired Fiend again...he was going to try and be smarter about how he went about attacking him. But even now, he wasn't sorry for attacking the way that he did. For going after him with reckless abandon and a coldhearted desire to kill the thing that had nearly killed his sister, and he would never apologize for that. Kou wasn't a fool. He was able to learn from his mistakes, for certain, but he drew a line in the sand when it came to certain things...where his honor was at stake and the pride that he felt as a big brother was on the line, and it didn't matter if his life was on the line or if he had to die to defend that ideal, he would pay any price to make the ones who hurt the people he loved bleed. That was, perhaps, his biggest weakness as a fighter, even. It was the reason that he endured some hardships that he would rather not talk about, and it was indicative of the lion that slept inside of his heart. He would rather die than surrender that.
"...I spotted you that one," he smirked ruefully as he watched the last of the devils finished off...not sure whether Kyouko or Kyou had killed the most on the 16th Floor. He would refocus before the 17th Floor, though. And every one of the last three levels...he was going to win them. That was the promise he made himself, to reestablish himself and refocus for the push to come. If the 20th Floor was another Boss, they'd need to all be on top of their game. And he would stand proudly before his family by the time they were there...live or die.
And that's precisely what was on his mind when a straggler, hiding behind a desk in a room on the side of the 16th Floor, burst out and made a bee-line for the back of the eldest Nekata sibling. Whether or not he saw the sneak attack...Quote: 24 Tokens Demons: Matador [30], Wu Kong [56], Kin-Ki [59], Futomimi [63 - Avoid Death Once-Per Day via a Mannikin - 1/1] Macca (Matador): 75/100 Macca

Kyouko Nekata, The Seafoam Guardian of the North She had never seen Kou like that. Kyou was supposed to be the reckless one, but at the sight of the red haired demon, Kou had charged against him like something had possessed him. And well...technically something had possessed him, but that wasn't what was important! This was Kou's decision...even if rash and stupid, he had pushed forward to protect her. Fortunately, the Fiend hadn't been interested and her brother came out of that scrapping in one piece. Kyouko sighed in relief...and the air was sucked back into her lungs when the horde of demons attacked them.
She cursed like a sailor, and got to work. The three of them together made an outstanding team, and there was no way these little demons would defeat them.
...
Alright, they had been more challenging than what she had expected. But Kyou had charged ahead killing demons here and there, Kou and her following behind. She was still worried though, her gaze following Kou and then turning to Kyou just to make sure he wasn't doing anything too stupid. And it was then that she turned back to her teal-haired brother than she noticed the demon sneaking behind him.
"Ah-ah! Not this time, b***h!" Her whip was true and terrifyingly quick, the gash left behind deep enough to stumble the demon away from Kou, turning into magatsuhi as it hollered in pain. The girl walked up to her brother and punched him in the arm. "Stop being distracted! That pipsqueak almost killed you. How embarrassing." her words had a bite to them, but no one could deny that there was some worry in her tone. Kyou NekataKyou could rest easy for a bit as he saw Kou back in fighting form..Using his cool, level head to his advantage...As they wiped out the 16th floor together.
No sooner did the boy call out that he spotted them that one..Did the boy see the flicker of movement... And, in just as many seconds as it could move, even with Kyouko spotting it before him....A knife found itself planted in it's head...whizzing right by the expertly thrown hand that was Kyou. "And we spotted you that one." he called back with a grin known as the 'Tiger Smile'. One that he would always make when saving the boy's a** from something he missed. From something he could overcome, when his brother paused. It wasn't often he'd bust it out...But, in a moment like this, to keep the spirits high, and the attention at the ready..It was prevalent. Even if it did look rather foolish on him. "C'mon C'mon. Floor 17, Let's go, Go GO!"
And his performance drew in yet another power...fully realizing his potential. It was...refreshing to feel this kind of rush..Even if he was now beyond what he could have imagined for that day.Quote: Auto-draw Vishnu [93-98] Demons: Unicorn. [21] Kikuri-Hime. Kou Nekata, Lion of the Bad Future "Two on one might seem unfair, but I promise you would rather it be US than HER."It was embarrassing...but Kou didn't take it that way.
Instead, it was a wake-up call. Wallowing in his own frustration was only going to get him nearly picked off by small fry by the likes of devils such as this one. He clicked his tongue and let out a breath, setting down his bat long enough to use his hand to slap the side of his face and push all of those negative feelings out of his mind. What had he been thinking, getting all caught up in the negativity like that? Why would he put his family at risk by letting his guard down and getting distracted? He picked his bat back up and twirled it in his hand, steeling his resolve once more to continue moving forward with the same certainty and purpose that he had intended to only moments before. Taking the lead once again, Kou's serious and focused expression returned with a vengeance as he pushed past his brother (not confrontational, just purposeful) and took the lead towards Floor 17.
"Yeah, you've got it," he told them without hesitation, and as the door to the level opened he flashed out into the center of the Floor and let the demons swarm around him, fighting like a man possessed...but this time, with a focus to his destructive force that made him look and feel more force of nature than man.
Cross the Nekata Family at your own risk. The devils would learn the lesson or die trying.Quote: 34 Tokens 10 Macca - Bounties Demons: Matador [30], Wu Kong [56], Kin-Ki [59], Futomimi [63 - Avoid Death Once-Per Day via a Mannikin - 1/1] Macca (Matador): 80/100 Macca

Raidou "Kai" Kuzunoha"Look out, Kiss-A." A flash of light filled Kisa's sight before a tall, dark figure stepped in the way. Waves of heat rolled passed Kisa as the spell ravaged the back of her would-be protector, and as she lowered her arms that she'd raised to brace herself, she saw the mask wearing D-Rap in full glory. "A girl with such a smooch-able face as yours should be more careful."Being told she had a 'smoochable' face irritated Kisa, but before she could complain her hero appeared to fall into her arms, only for her to step aside and see him collapse completely to the ground. The coat on his back was burned clear off, exposing the dark skin of the demon, and although he was already unconscious from Belzaboul's last attack the damage the Lord of Flies was doing still wasn't done. A pox was already spreading across D-Rap's skin, turning it yellow as the Lord of Flies infected the Devil App User with his spawn, demonic flies quickly growing by feeding off the energy inside of D-Rap's body. Kisa knew that if D-Rap hadn't taken the attack for her, she would have most likely been the host of those growing demonic flies instead, and in that split second D-Rap had decided to save his partner in this battle...or maybe he was just a perv, and really was creeping on her. Whatever. "Nekura, no!" Kisa's eyes turned to look towards the other group, only to see Minori blasted by another wave of Almighty damage. Nekura had been the first to run out of strength against the General of Hell, if only because he was trying to do it all, and Minori had backed him up by casting several healing spells to keep the aggressive Nekura energetic for as long as she could. But one thing her demons currently lacked was the ability to cure strange status ailments, and Nekura's body was covered in boil-like protrusions along all his arms and limbs, suffering from the Lord of Flies' servants; and now he'd reached his limit, as Nekura crawled to his knees, awakened by sheer pain, covering his mouth. But as he coughed, suddenly flies began to emerge, spawning from the dark energy of the demon who'd first cursed him with them, and they quickly coalesced into large demons the size of fat carrion vultures, hovering and encircling Minori. "Get down, you!" In a split second Kisa's fingers rattled across the surface of her phone, and Metatron raised it's hand, a ball of light gathering between it's fingers. The angel waved it's hand in that direction, and the blast tore across the field, evaporating scales and skeleton as the flies disappeared under the unrelenting power of the spell. But in the split second the spell took to move from side to side, making sure to eradicate the entire menagerie of insects, the bugs stabbed and pecked at Minori, a deep claw wound impaling her arm. As the light died, Minori felt to her knees, breathing heavily from exhaustion. Kisa began to run over to check on her teammate, but stopped after only a few paces, seeing the clear first signs of infection as a pattern began to break out on Minori's arm. In a moment, she would become another bomb, and the number of enemies would swell exponentially once again, while Kisa had used the last of her SP for crowd-clearing spells on that last one. Things were looking dire, and yet the Demi-Fiend wasn't going to give up... Elsewhere..."Hey, are you alright? I saw you from down the street and...huh...?" The silverette sprinted down the street, the last of the demons that had attacked him falling lifeless onto the rubble behind him as his demon withdrew it's sword from the beast's neck. He'd seen another human heading for the Moonlight bridge from a distance, and knowing the danger of the area, he rushed over to help...but as the blue haired roughneck turned, Soji realized that he recognized the beatnik after all, and he was definitely someone who could take care of himself. "Hah, I should have known it was you, Seta. No one else would be such a goody two-shoes as to come sprinting when he didn't even know the situation. Though, you have good timing after all." Kai turned, and though he initially chided Soji for his willingness to help in these dire times, he also rubbed a finger under his nose as he acknowledged the usefulness of Soji's actions just a tiny bit sheepishly. Could he show gratitude after all? Behind him, lightning crackled as a storm cloud circled over Port Island, and a bolt struck down in a location neither could see clearly from this distance, signs of an intense battle that must have been brewing. "Hey, you've been around this city before, right? I need to get to Paulownia Mall, but I don't really know my way around here. Think you could give help me out?""Huh...? Well sure, I know where Paulownia Mall is, but you really shouldn't go there right now. There's an incredibly powerful demon there, and I have to..." Soji began to warn Kai about the impending danger in his decision, but almost as soon as he'd shown his own conviction to slay the demon, Kai's laugh blew his bluster away. Sure, Soji wanted to slay the demon on his own so the rest wouldn't get hurt, but he might have underestimated the people he was fighting with after all, and the look on Kai's face gave him a strange feeling for once...but after a moment he laughed himself, realizing just what it was. It was the exact same face he must have been making, and Kai already knew that they were both too determined to back down, now that they'd made their decision. "Look, Belzaboul isn't your prey. Understand Seta? You can guide me there if you want to, and even fight some tough demons if it pleases you. But the big bug..." Kai clenched his fist, holding it up as a sign, pretending to crush the demon they were speaking of beneath his tightly knotted fingers. "...is mine! And I'll wipe out anyone who gets in the way." He was such a hard headed b*****d, but at the same time Soji could sense that his words were coming from a good place, one that wanted only to rid the city of the menace that'd been plaguing it all day. Thinking about it, Soji found himself chuckling again. "Okay, I'll take you to Paulownia. I've been there a time or two, but I can't promise anything when it comes to who gets the kill. I wouldn't want to wound your warrior's pride by lying to you, so we'll make it an honest competition. Promise." Kai grit his teeth for a minute when it sounded like Soji was refusing, but when he made it clear that it was just 'a challenge from an equal', he saw Kai soften up to the idea a bit again. He certainly wasn't an easy guy to deal with, but luckily their mutual goal was making this all a lot easier for a change. Thinking about it though, there was another reason he'd stopped Kai, and it was probably better to warn him before he forgot again. "Just one thing. The Moonlight Bridge is the way to Paulownia, but I hear it's being guarded by an extremely strong Troll. We might lose too much time if we end up dealing with him, and I can't really pay his Macca toll, so..." Almost as soon as he'd explained, Kai grit his teeth, and both bowed their heads in contemplation. There wasn't a second to lose, and Soji was out of options when it came to shortening their venture...but at the same time, he knew that Minori, and the lives of many others were on the line. Then suddenly, a snapping sound brought him to attention. As he looked up, Kai was smirking, and pointing towards the beach just off to the side. "Alright then, leave that to me. I guess it's time to reveal my trump card. Making that offering to the Yatagarasu paid off after all, though I was hoping to save it for another day..." Kai looked over, and spotted Soji's confused look. He didn't know what the Summoner was getting at, but if he remembered correctly the Yatagarasu was the name of his organization. The way he was saying it though, it sounded like he was talking about a singular being, or maybe just someone who was in control...? He didn't have time to ask though, as Kai began walking towards the sandy shore of Iwatodai, Soji close behind. "If we can't use the bridge, getting to the Island would normally be impossible. Luckily, Raidou Kuzunoha is prepared for any situation. And the one and only Raidou Kuzunoha..." A proud glare came over Kai's shoulder suddenly, as he grinned wickedly back at Soji. "..is me."Elsewhere..."Ziodyne!" A lightning bolt crashed into The Fly's wings, sending Belzaboul crashing into a building nearby just before the creature could deal a fatal swipe to Kisa. The Demi-Fiend was near completely exhausted now, though she'd managed to last a bit longer with the arrival of Hitomi, who'd cleared away the flies again. Her arm hung limp on the side of her body though, because a moment ago she'd been exchanging blows with the Grand Duke of Hell when the fly had dug his claws into her arm, and the squirming feeling she could feel inside of it was not so dissimilar to the magatama when they took on their insectoid forms. Still, she was weak, and out of time. Hitomi meanwhile was off on the side, her body riddled with the tattoo-like engravings that showed the bugs were near hatching, and Minori was no better. The only visible damage they'd managed to do before now was a wing, torn off by one of Nekura's fiercest attacks, but it looked like they were going to prolong this a little longer now that Mataki was here. But just like her own aid, or that of Hitomi, or any before them, what help could he truly be? They were just dragging out their suffering at this rate...the General of Hell raised his body from the rubble, and as he did his head immediately swung low, letting out a poisonous fume that spread across the entire floor, causing all to gag as their constitutions suffered again. 'Poison...? b*****d!' Kisa coughed, and glanced towards Mataki who stood amidst the gas, though he didn't seem as bothered. Apparently it paid to be a poisonous snake demon from Norse Mythology...or something. A few seconds and no longer did Kisa have to contemplate their fate however, before her ears picked up something that none of the humans had yet. It was an unbelievable sound, and one that was growing, but as she turned her eyes towards the distance Moonlight Bridge what she saw only confirmed her suspicions...and it was pretty ******** awesome. "Mataki, grab the others! Get out of the way!" Kisa shouted, leaning over and picking up D-Rap. In an instant Belzaboul lashed out, claw swinging at the pair, but the bug was sent backwards again by a blow from Hitomi, a bit of her strength remaining...and then each scrambled for safety as Belzaboul's head snapped upwards again, only to suddenly receive an enormous, explosive blow to the face. Even Belzaboul could feel the intense rumbling now, as the shore was splintered and cleft apart by the immense mass carving it's way through both ocean and now land, and where Kisa had once glanced there now stood a mighty, powerful figure. With his coat lain across his shoulders, blowing in the wind, Soji stood with arms crossed and chest bared on the bow of an enormous, sentient battleship that knocked buildings aside as it stayed it's course as if it were merely breaking the waves of the sea. And over the PA a song so metal only someone with a huge ego trip could call it his theme blared, warning all that this was not an inferior, but one coming to claim a crown. And while Soji stood at the front of the ship, ever the prideful leader, a face that gave hope and inspiration to his comrades in dire times, it was Kai who manned the helm of this living and unstoppable vessel, training it's steel from down directly on to the Lord of Flies. "Land hooooo!" As Frank the Troll shouted happily from the railing, waving a sailor's cap he'd found on the deck below towards the survivors who crawled out of the way just in time, Soji leaped from the point of the ship and summoned his faithful demon. But instead of appearing, the angel's body seemed to meld to his own, and each recognized in a moment that Soji had been compatible for a Possession...now covered in silvery steel, their angelic hero slammed his sword into the Skull Staff of Belzaboul, and the Fly hissed as it pushed back with all it's force against the hero, a thousand eyes narrowing into a glare at the same time. "You think this is enough to defeat the Duke of Hell? I am the most powerful of my master's servants! Even the title of Bel interests me little...I entered, only due to my Master's boredom! My children will taste your flesh!" Belzaboul's taunt did little to phase Soji, but nearly Minori began to scream, her skin crawling as his words began to bear fruition. In an instant Soji's eyes widened, and the hero swung his sword again, knocking Belzaboul backwards a few feet as the bug let out a blood curdling scream. "You son of a b***h...you're going to wipe out humanity? This world is already yours? Run at the mouth all you want, you flakey-faced freak! That's s**t's for the f**king birds!" Kai shouted as he slammed his fist into the dash of the ship...which probably wasn't a good idea, considering it was sentient. Regardless, a barrage of cannons began firing as Belzaboul struggled to survive an onslaught of explosive energy, knocking aside what few shells it could from the overwhelming firepower of the possessed battleship. In an instant the muscles in it's spindly legs tensed, and the Lord of Flies leaped into the air, the shells whizzing by underneath it as the Skull Rod rose above it's head, summoning energy for another wave of Almighty spells. "No you don't! This is it for yooouuuu!" Despite all the eyes covering it's body, even Belzaboul still felt a pang of terror as it realized that the possessed Soji had moved behind it unseen, and metallic fingers clenched around it's arm tight enough to draw blood as he began accelerating upwards, using Belzaboul's own energy against him. The two flew upward,s upwards and further into the sky as Soji spent all his power just dragging the fly towards oblivion with greater and greater speed. Finally, he felt the blinking pain as his body reached it's maximum potential, and with all the strength of his Possessed muscle his arm wrenched upwards, sending Belzaboul flying straight out of the atmosphere...or at least so it felt and seemed. "Ha...checkmate you b*****d." Angels were no weaklings, and being possessed by one for even such a short amount of time was taking it's toll on Soji as he began to fall back to earth, the temporary skin flecking away into dust as his steely body turned to flesh once more...but his part was done. "Don't. F**k. With Humanity!" Kai shouted, leaping from the bow of the battleship Yamato as he clenched his fists tightly, swinging one upwards as if delivering the blow to Belzaboul with his own hand. In that instant, the bridge of the battleship suddenly shown across the bay with a vibrant red light, as the core of the creature sprung to life. Possessed by the spirit of the Yatagarasu, the steel began to shift and change, splitting down the middle and revealing mighty arms and legs, as the robotic Soulless God Yamamagatsu rose from the ground like the deification of a Saturday Morning Cartoon's Gundam, and yet much larger and fiercer...this was no imaginary toy, but a spirit possessed by a god. The robot rose into the sky, a blurry mixture of green and blue energy pouring out from it's wings as the Battleship God broke the atmosphere, heading straight for Belzaboul. And as it did energy built in it's core, which slowly opened to reveal enormous anti-material cannons, turned infinitely more lethal by the demon that possessed them. "You...you fooooolls!" Belzaboul roared, thrusting it's staff downwards. The almighty energy it had gathered was unleashed, and for a moment it streaked across the sky like a shooting star...but in that same instant, the Yamamagatsu released it's stored power in one, enormous round. The cannon shell burst through the Megidolaon as if it were a gust of wind, slamming into Belzaboul's body, and what had for a moment appeared as a glint of a shooting star was now an enormous streak of energy, crossing the expanse of space. Belzaboul struggled to knock the shell aside, move it's body, free itself, but all efforts were futile...and finally, it's body slammed into the enormous lunar body behind it; with the combination of Soji's unrelenting will, and Kai's overwhelming firepower, Belzaboul had been blasted clear to the moon. It was motha f**king Exterminatus time. The moment the shell brushed the surface, the energy exploded all at once, and from the earth all that could be seen was an unstoppable wave of fire that spread outwards from the epicenter, encircling the barren, grey rock and setting it alight...so much so that for a brief moment, all could have sworn that the Moon, engulfed in the cleansing fire, was in truth the light of the Sun. The entire, beautiful globe in the sky was now a hellscape of molten death, a fitting grave for the Lord of Flies who'd chosen to cross the ultimate Summoner and his allies when the fate of the Earth was on the line. And then, as moments passed the fire began to dissipate in the sky, sucked away into the vacuum of space as not even ash of Belzaboul remained to mark what had once been of the great Duke of the Underrealm...and the sky began to take on the shape that it had once held, albeit with one enormous, new hole in everybody's favorite f**king moon. "The bugs are...disappearing..." Minori muttered, holding her arm as the marks began to disappear, a sign of the Bel's defeat. She looked up at Kai as he began to approach the survivors, annnnd had little to say as the enormous steel battleship that had just flown halfway to the moon smashed into the sea behind him, lifeless and ruined. Half of Port Island being hit by a tidal wave probably wasn't worth her mentioning... "Good work, everyone." Soji coughed, slowly moving towards the group as the enormous wave smashed into the mall behind them. Everyone probably felt about the same, wanting to say something, yet deciding to just accept their difficult victory after everything that had happened...except, of course, for one man. "DAMN IT, GUYS. How long do you think it's going to take me to absorb Belzaboul's energy when it's returning from the F**KING Moon!?" Mataki complained in an unusually ruffled fashion. Even the Student Council President of Yasogami High had his limits when faced with aggravating problems sometimes, it seemed. "Oh Raidou, you're so great!" Kisa shouted, wrapping arms around his torso. "Look at those muscles! He's soooo amazing...""I'll be your apprentice forever! Please teach me master!" Nekura shouted, throwing himself at his feet while Minori hugged his leg. Yup. Being Kai was f**king amazing... ...what, you're telling me that wasn't how it happened?

Kou Nekata, Lion of the Bad Future "Two on one might seem unfair, but I promise you would rather it be US than HER."Light shined through the fiberglass windows of the Mist Wall, the sound of a Basilisk somewhere in the distance crowing out its rapturous caw of death, and on the 20th Floor of the Mist Wall Tower Kou Nekata and his siblings slowly rose to face the day after what had been a rather eventful last couple of hours of the night. The sounds of some kind of epic confrontation outside of the Tower had accompanied a smaller-scale, but rather epic battle of their own inside of the Mist Wall. The 17th Floor had been the last that Kyouko and Kyou (who tied) took from their older brother, who had taken his sister and brother's words to heart and absolutely ripped through the 18th Floor and 19th Floor like a hurricane and claimed them both before they likely realized the energy that flowed through his body. Near-death experiences, being reminded of his place among the trio of them, there was nothing more that this Tower could throw at him that he wouldn't be prepared for as long as they stuck together, and that knowledge filled him with a renewed vigor that the devils still lingering on the grounds had felt rather distinctly in his bat!
Even on the 20th Floor, the Bloody, Red Troll that had tried to block their path had been little match for the three of them, but it was again the older brother who had landed the killing blow when he'd driven his bat nails-down into the fat lug's gullet after his siblings brought him to the ground with a whip to the ankle and a pair of daggers to the knee. Another bounty checked off of the Red Viper's list, and as the sun dimmed outside the Tower, they had decided to at last call their first day reunited in this shitty world a night. And what a night it had been...
"It's a new day...yes it is," he quipped with a smirk, readying his bat to start back into the scrum, the 21st Floor still awaiting them above with an even louder throng of demons waiting for them than had been yesterday, "New game, board's wiped clean from yesterday. 35th Floor by sundown or you both owe me a Cielo Mist."Quote: 34 Tokens 10 Macca - Bounties Demons: Matador [30], Wu Kong [56], Kin-Ki [59], Futomimi [63 - Avoid Death Once-Per Day via a Mannikin - 1/1] Macca (Matador): 85/100 Macca

Kou Nekata, Lion of the Bad Future "Two on one might seem unfair, but I promise you would rather it be US than HER."They must have been a bit groggy...or maybe that was just him. Honestly, he thought he had been perfectly awake, but the way that his brother fought on the 21st Floor was enough to make him rethink whether or not he had been ready for the new contest he'd proposed at all. ...Then again, he was a notoriously heavy sleeper, and he had waited a bit later than he probably should have to get started. And even with the bright-eyed and bushy-tailed feeling that had run through him at the prospect of tearing through some punks together with his family still coursing through his veins, there was perhaps something inherent within him that simply made him take a little longer to fully rev-up for battle than it took Kyou on the norm. Of course, at least he wasn't his younger sister...whose sleep could range from 'early bird' to 'the worm got got long before she ever pulled her sleepy butt out of bed'. Her unpredictability made her dangerous in that way, but then, she was just a dangerous woman to begin with, something the devils on this floor had also learned right from the beginning. It was a rare thing, Kou coming in third in any contest between them...at the very least, he always seemed to bring it in to second place, and in his opinion, he was certainly the most often of the three to claim first. So what was this 3rd Place stuff?
"You guys deserve a head start," he smirked casually as they made their way towards the second set of stairs of the day, the 22nd Floor overhead looming between them and further progress in what would soon become their tower, "Should I cover one eye, too? ...You remember when Nico and Neji both wore eyepatches to fight some Corrupted with us that time we told them that 'eyepatches were cool', right? Maybe I should try it, too...fighting the devils with a patch. What do you think?"Quote: 44 Tokens - 10 Tokens [Draw out Black Frost - 66] - 0 Tokens [Free Fuse Black Frost + Kin-Ki = Nyx (71)] = 34 Tokens 10 Macca - Bounties Demons: Matador [30], Wu Kong [56], Futomimi [63 - Avoid Death Once-Per Day via a Mannikin - 0/1], Nyx [71] Macca (Matador): 90/100 Macca

Kou Nekata, Lion of the Bad Future "Two on one might seem unfair, but I promise you would rather it be US than HER."It didn't happen often, even if their averages in competitions were still about 50/50, but the 22nd Floor had turned out to be one of those unusual draws between Kou and his twin brother Kyou. The Lion that was starting to wake up and find his stride had managed to fight to a perfect standstill with his wilder counterpart, the Tiger, and as they brushed away the blood from their weapons and smirked at one another in a perfect unison, their sister would get another look...one she had seen many times over the years watching the two brothers who protected and loved her equally...what a perfect match the two were together as a team. Brains and calculated fury on one side, and a wild and unpredictable ferocity on the other, the two of them were opposites that complimented one another and filled in the gaps of one another on the battlefield like nobody else possibly could. Their counterpart temperaments even complimented one another, with one relying on the other's perceptive reactions and the other more reliant upon instincts...there was a time for both and they always seemed to know when to pull back and let the other take the lead. But sometimes...just sometimes, like this time...they both stood out front together. And the demons didn't know what hit them.
"Heh...maybe I'll have to fight all-out to beat you after all," the older brother smirked and conceded casually, stepping up towards the stairs to the 23rd Floor and extending his fist to his brother for a fraternal fist-bump, "Damn, it feels good when it's all clicking like this, doesn't it? ...These punks don't even stand a chance."Quote: 35 Tokens Demons: Matador [30], Wu Kong [56], Futomimi [63 - Avoid Death Once-Per Day via a Mannikin - 0/1], Nyx [71] Macca (Matador): 95/100 Macca

Kou Nekata, Lion of the Bad Future "Two on one might seem unfair, but I promise you would rather it be US than HER."It was true what the Kirijo said about two in harmony surpassing one in perfection: the example that proved the thesis was currently ascending one of their own Towers level-by-level and kicking the ever-loving crap out of a series of increasingly-frustrated demons until the magatsuhi was practically raining upward and out of the Tower into the sky above. If there had been a big magatsuhi vacuum on the Top Floor of this Tower sucking up all of the dead demons and their essence to create one amalgamation of demonic power which would surpass and encompass the power of everything on the levels below, well...by the time they got to the top of the Tower, they'd basically be staring down the face of an indestructible god. But...that wasn't the case, most likely, and instead it was simply a stream of demons that had inhabited this massive tower...likely drawn simply because it was indeed the tallest building (or by some master that they would meet when they got to the top...like the red-haired Fiend, but probably not him). One after another they came, and one after another they fell. And on the 23rd Floor, each got a fair share of the bounty but it had been their sister, finally waking up and taking control of the fray who had landed the majority of the demon kills.
The contest continued on, however, with 2 for Kyou, 1 for Kou, and 1 for Kyouko thus far today and at least 12 Floor still remaining ahead of them to split between the trio. Kou was intent on getting even more of them, but his siblings would always...always...offer a sturdy challenge. That's what made competing against them so damn fun.
"24th Floor. Think we'll get a Special Boss on the 25th for the halfway point?" he asked his brother with a smirk, knowing such a question was in his wheelhouse because, "Is that how it works in games? You're the one who always wanted to visit the...arcade, was it?"Quote: 36 Tokens 10 Macca Demons: Matador [30], Wu Kong [56], Futomimi [63 - Avoid Death Once-Per Day via a Mannikin - 0/1], Nyx [71] Items: Matador Cape - Revival cost reduced by -2.
