The Konoha Hospital (木ノ葉病院, Konoha Byōin; Literally meaning "Leaf Hospital") serves the medical needs of ninja and other villagers in Konohagakure. Though the staff is skilled enough to treat most basic ailments, Tsunade and other more advanced medical-nin must step in to assist with severe injuries. Security for the hospital is apparently lax, as Gaara is able to get into Rock Lee's room to try and kill him and Naruto managed to sneak out and get ramen. During the invasion of Pain, the hospital is overwhelmed by the number of casualties caused by Pain. The kanji for "Medicine" or "Healing" (医, ishi) is printed on the front of the building.
The hospital was quiet and calm the only noises that were there were the steady beeping of the heart rate monitor and the quiet shuffling in the halls with the doctors and nurses just trying to get from point a to point b. Several hours had passed from the time of the mysterious nins second attack. Moving around slowly and shut eyes squinting Kazuto slowly began to wake up with yet another white ceiling above him. Sitting up he looked around to see if Hinako was nearby. From the time where he passed out to the time now he felt as if he regained some chakra, and right than knowing he had been out for a while also expecting Hinako to already be halfway home by now.

Hinako slowly opened her eyes. At first everything was blurry but a few seconds later her eyes became clear. She took the oygen mask off that was helping her breath as she looked around. For a moment she was confused where she was at or what had happen till she remember she collapsed with Kazuto in her arm. She was exhausted when she entered the hospital and all she remember was darkness. "Kazuto?" she called out but her voice sounded dry and squeaky. How long had she been out?
"Hinako?"Kazuto said in a whispered tone still groggy from his awakening looking around until his eyes met with a shadowy figure in the corner which than slinked out of it and into the light. It was a taki anbu with a couple injuries on him. Looking up at him he said to him with a worried tone"What happened to you?!"Bending down on one knee he replied to Kazuto with sorrow in his tone"Kazuto... I don't know how to say this any other way so I'm just going to come out with it.... Takigakure... Has fallen. The village was attacked by unknown ninja, 'powerful' ninja. We never stood a chance... It was like they were almost not human... I come from root of taki and was entrusted with carrying a message from the anbu commander. However, only to you."Kazuto was shocked and confused with what he was hearing as his heart sank when he heard the news "...Taki has fallen?! How! We don't have any enemies!? and what do you mean. A message?!"The anbu gave a guilty look on his face before replying."I don't know sir... I'm the last one remaining... Before I could get answers out of the commander we were attacked by those. Beasts. I couldn't quite make them out as it was too dark... It was bad. Real bad... The commander took on the enemies by himself and told me to get here as fast as possible to where you and Hinako were. I obeyed orders and came here as fast as possible. Soon they followed though, the ones who were being held up by the commander I assume he has perished. I managed to get away somehow though... But the message was this..."He than handed a scroll to Kazuto which he snatched from the anbu and opened it up reading the contents following each word with his eyes before stopping at a certain spot and reading it out loud'An order from anbu root. The bearer of this scroll Kazuto Kirigaya is to be tasked with an SS - Ranked mission in the reconnaissance and investigation of Takigakure's siege from an unknown band of ninja in which attacked the village in question. The terms of this mission is that Mr. Kazuto Kirigaya must use his jutsu Ninja Art: Fake Death and stage his death in a public area and thus eliminate any and all records of Takigakure affiliation and assume Jonin spot under an alias of his choosing in Iwagakure and gather information on who may have attacked the village and track what nation/unknown group used in the siege. Kazuto you are our only hope and must not involve Lady Hinako Yuki or any blood relation such as Kai Kirigaya in this official anbu root order...'Kazuto looked up from the message his face white as a ghost with tears in his eyes before turning back to the anbu thinking about Hinako."So in short, I have to lie to the people I care about and use that jutsu to erase any record of me to also protect them should something were to go wrong that would endanger them further. Just great..."Thinking now about the citizens and the promises and hope he instilled into them made his heart ache more as they were now all dead soon though it turned into anger and a need to avenge them before lifting his head in confidence and nodding to the anbu accepting the mission and handing him back the scroll in which the anbu burned into nothingness."What will happen to her..."He replied to him"Lady Hinako will be requested by the elders of Kumogakure to take up the vacant spot of Raikage because of Kai your blood relations affiliation with you and your relation with her... I will be delivering the news to her in a few hours time... I am honoured I was able to be of final service to you 2 good luck and god speed..."At that the anbu disappeared in a puff of smoke leaving Kazuto to his thoughts than taking a deep breath as he did the following hand signs. Ox, Tiger, Rat."Ninja Art: Fake Death..."Soon each of his five senses began to diminish. First his taste, second his smell, third his hearing, forth his sight, and finally fifth his touch and feeling... As the final sense diminished his body went limp and soon after he fell almost like it was slow motion. As soon as he hit the pillow the monitor flat lined very loudly he was now in a state between life and death with no senses, or brain activity present. Only darkness... It would be as if his heart failed from the poison unleashed earlier on. Almost immediately doctors and nurses ran past Hinako's room and into his performing CPR and Fibrillation on him but to no success. After about 10 minutes of this the doctors would look down at Kazuto in failure and shut his eyes calling the time of death outside his room just loud enough for Hinako to hear"... Patient, Kazuto Kirigaya... Time of death 8:52pm date March 16th. Cause of death. Cardiac arrest."

Hearing some activities next to her room, Hinako heard some shouts and loud noises. Hinako tried to sit up but her body was still trying to rest. At first Hinako just ignored the noise next to her room until hearing the time and death of Kazuto made her shoot up. Her body ached but she ignored it as she tried walking to the door. Someone from the shadows walked over and tried to prevent her from going any farther. "I am so sorry for your loss." Hinako stood frozen in place as she felt like time just stop. An anbu from her home was hear holding her back as her best friend was just pronounced dead. She felt like she couldn't breath as she was having a hard time registering what was happening. "No. Its all lies." She whispered in a pathetic voice she hardly recognize. A doctor walked in the door and just looked at her. He had sympathy in he eyes and shook his head. "No. NO. NOOOOOO!!!!" Hinako screamed as unwanted tears started poring. Hinako shrugged off the anbu but his grip on her didn't loosen. Her sadness and anger were boiling at once as she grabbed her head and started shaking it. "Get out. Get out now!" Hinako grabbed the anbu and threw him at the doctor and out the door. She started breaking the chairs, the table, and even her bed as her emotions around her was going crazy. The very spot she stood started to freeze over as she just wanted to freeze time. Hinako slowly walked backwards and hit the wall as she slowly slid down and started crying on her knees. Anyone who dared entered heard the wrath of Hinako as the room itself was cold. It felt like they were in a freezer itself as Hinako she sat there in a destroyed room crying. She was tired but she refused to sleep.
Kazuto knew this would impact her greatly but because he was in a state of incoherence he had no idea what was happening. Soon other doctors entered the room with a guernsey and lifted Kazuto's seemingly lifeless body onto it and placed a blanket over him than wheeled it down the hall to the morgue. The anbu got up from his position on the floor and helped the doctor up sending him away than kneeled on one knee. He knew there was no way he could bring up Taki's destruction at a different time than now.. In a shaken tone he replied accepting what ever would happen next"There's more... Lady Hinako. Takigakure... Has been destroyed... We are the only ones left surviving... It was attacked by an unknown band of S rank ninja and destroyed we never had a chance..."He finished waiting for a reply.

┗ After finalizing and filing the document, Zuko had to ensure some safety measure of the incident. Sending a few anbu and a medical nin to check the site for further analysis. Once that was done, he stopped by the hospital to check on his guests. Hopefully they're getting the proper rest as they can. However another turn for the worst happen to show up today... Walking up to the appropriate floor, Zuko could be a sharp breeze throughout the entire floor. Why's the temperature turned all the way down? Well there was only one way to find out. Making his way closer to the guests rooms, it got even colder. Freezing actually. One of the doctors came up to him and informed him of the incident that had transpired. Kazuto had passed on and Hinako went into a frenzy. The great thing was, there was no necessary collateral damage, everyone in the hospital was fine...well except for her. Please tend to the other patients, leave me with our guests. Have the body been taken to the morgue? The doctor had nodded as he explained how that was already taken care of before leaving to tend to the other patients. Zuko's head tilted over to the room that was the core of the freezing air. The closer he got as he walked over, the louder he could hear the cry of and the voice informant of another. Apparently there was more going on. Overhearing the fact that their home village was also destroyed as both of them were here. A ploy... Zuko said, mumbling under his breath. He entered the room after, looking at the destruction of all the furniture before moving his head to the side seeing the woman, crouched into a ball on the side of a wall. Tears, coming down rapidly, rivaling that of a waterfall as her anbu was there and saw him enter. Zuko silently and slowly knelt down to one knee himself as he just watched her. The pain of losing someone so dear was nothing but terrible. A feeling Zuko felt quite some time ago. He briefly touched Hinako's hand notifying that he was now there at her side. The warmth in his hands should've left such a signal enough before releasing his hand to see Hinako at least lift her face. ┓

Feeling bad for making her Anbu scared of her, she took a deep breath trying to calm herself. For the first time in her life she felt the pain everyone always describe. Pain from losing someone you cared for, someone who was like family. Hearing the destruction of her village made her angry and sad all at the sametime. "Forgive me. I have failed you as a Kage. Should have known better to leave it unguarded and now my worse fears has come to pass. The village I have sworn to protect is now in ashes and rumbles. Go, you are free to live your life as you will. I am no longer the Takikage." Feeling someone else touch her, a spark was sent throughout her body and when she turned her head she saw the Hokage. Feeling a little embarrassed of how the whole place was, she went and hugged the Kage because of the emotional state she was in. "Sorry I'll pau for the damage." Was all she can say.
Upon entering the morgue it took about an hour for him to realize what was going on and suppressing his chakra to the point where a kage couldn't even feel his presence. Slowly regaining his senses back he felt cold and soon found out he was in one of the morgues temperature controlled coolers for bodies. Listening for voices, none could be heard and so he shifted down his containment area and sort of kicked open the door filling the containment area with fresh air and stepped outside of it only to find out he was completely naked."Jeezuz they already gave me a toe tag and everything...."He whispered to himself looking around for clothes until he came across one of the doctors cupboards with a Konoha doctors uniform in it which he would than quickly put on. Taking his toe tag off he examined it closely which displayed his name, date of death, and cause of death. Written on the back was his ninja I.D code, which was what he needed. Kazuto would than make his way to one of the computer terminals and access the nin database where he would type in the code and pull up his file. This would be where he would delete all his data. After that Kazuto would access the medical database and change his status from body not studied to studied and than reach into his bag and pull out a scroll with the symbol 'clone' written on it and reverse summon one of his clones expelling next to no chakra in doing so the clone would than place the toe tag on himself and crawl into the containment area closing it behind him and play dead. Once that was finished he would grab his bag than head out of the morgue and on his way to the exit. Leaving no traces of tampering.
A few minutes went by and he soon found out that he was in the hallway where him and Hinako were hospitalized. Taking his medical mask he would stretch it across his face masking his facial features. Soon he would be walking past him and Hinako's room. He knew it was it because the hallway had to be around -15 degrees and ice stretched slightly across the floor from Hinako's room. Glancing into it he would see the man from earlier hugging Hinako consoling her. Kazuto would give a pained look but not stop walking and soon he would come to the exit of the hospital. Everyone now thought Kazuto was dead. He would think to himself."Mother, Kai, and Hinako... Forgive me for this."

┗ Holding onto the crying female soft yet tight enough to keep her from moving just a bit. Making sure she has enough room to get herself out of being held, he still made the embrace warm enough for her. Even though he was comforting her, Zuko was trailing his heart into hers as if two streams of water were meeting to fill a reservoir. It's going to be alright Hinako. I'm here... He gave a slight comforting pat before a slight rub. Making sure she was truly aware that Zuko is there for her. Seeing her like this was no good sight at all. He heard her talking about paying for the damage...which would definitely help but right now...it's nothing to worry about. It's fine, don't worry about that. ┓

Hinako felt like she was in a nightmare and wanted to pinch herself to wake up. She felt Zuko's hold on her and she wanted to stay here until everything was okay but Hinako knew that wasn't the case. She wanted to go for blood and wanted to find the evil b***h that had killed Kazuto but first she had to give Kazuto a burial. She had to at least say goodbye properly since she didn't get the chance to do it when he was alive. She might as well tell him in a whisper when she lay him to rest her dark secret. Hinako finally pulled away from Zuko and wiped away her tears and slowly stood up. She took a deep breath and straight herself up right. "Thank you Zuko for everything and your hospitality now I need to lay my friend to rest." Hinako gave a respectful bow as she walked out the room and gave the person at the desk some money she had on her for the damage she had done to the room. She then walked to the morgue to find Kazuto body and make her way home with it. Not wanting to fully see his body, she just had someone place a white sheet over him and she picked up his body and made her way out of the hospital.

Upon exiting the hospital a carriage would be there waiting for Kazuto's body to be placed in it and taken to Kumo Graveyard where his brother was from. In the drivers hand would be a scroll which he would than hand to Hinako. The driver would wait for her to read the message than they would depart to Kumogakure. It would be a message from Kumo's elder council."Dear Miss Hinako Yuki. It has come to our attention after receiving various messages from first Iwagakure on an attack that has decimated Takigakure, discovered after a squad from Iwa was deployed after hearing reports of black smoke rising from the distance by neighbouring villages. We are deeply sorry for what has happened and have decided to do everything in our power to work alongside you in this overbearing time for you. We have also heard of the death of your comrade and Takikage from Konoha Branch Hospital's medical team and your admittance to the hospital after the destruction of the village. In respect for you, the Takikage's Commander and the respects of Kai Kirigaya (Sibling) and Myuri Kirigaya (Mother). We have sent a drawn carriage for the transportation of you and the late Takikage's remains to Kumogakure's Graveyard for burial. ┗ In these dark moments, everyone needs someone or something to give at least the tiniest spark of life. In this particular moment, Zuko was that spark in Hinako's life as her previous spark had dimmed into total darkness. He could tell that this must be Hinako's first time witnessing and experiencing the pain of a serious loss. It truly was a sharp stinger. He held onto her, which became a long and warm embrace. Just sitting in silence allowing the tears to flow rashly until Hinako finally decided to get up. It was almost as if both sides at first refused to release each other but knowing that some things had to be done. Zuko aided in wiping some of the tears from Hinako's face as she rose up to thank him. Finally getting up, he reached for her hand and held it tight yet gentle at the same time, lifting her up by her chin. You're free to come back anytime, remember that. I will be here for you. The pain of losing someone is very strong. Now go and see to your friend will have a proper burial. Silently, letting her go afterwards, all he could do now was simply watch as Hinako left the hospital to take care of personal issues. A part of him wanted to strongly go with her and be there for her and watch her but he is still the Hokage, and has to watch over his family (village) at all costs. He crossed his arms as he himself ordered everyone to return to their jobs as if nothing had happened and he left the hospital himself. Shihou's gonna have a fit with me when she finds me. He stated to himself as he left the hospital, deciding to go his usual spot to meditate once again. ┓

Saying her farewells to the Hokage, Hinako turned her attention to the person who was standing outside the hospital. Hinako placed Kazuto's body gently in the back of the carriage as she then grabbed the scroll the driver had. She opened up the scroll the moment she sat down in the carriage so it could take her to Kumogakure. She was puzzle for a moment when she was reading the scroll and then laid back. "Whenever you are ready driver." All she wanted was a moment to rest.
