A little time spent in the hospital made it a little easier to deal with now, but it was still creepy. His footfalls echoed in the hall as he walked along, and he peered into the individual rooms like a curious child would. There might be something to see or someone to find, maybe another civilian if he was lucky. Or a monster if he wasn't. He didn't like that idea...but he kept going and, once he got to the end of the hall, circled back and started looking through the rooms on the other side of the hallway.
"Anyone here?" he asked as he peeked inside one of the rooms, more out of boredom than anything.

Ideally, he would have stuck with Noemi as much as he could have on this exploration adventure into a random Canadian city. But, somewhere along the way he ended up losing the girl. It had been disheartening, he had attempted to go search for her but it was to no avail as he suddenly found himself at a worn down and creepy hospital. (Those were well... obviously common in toku, he didn't need to figure out a reference for that).
Milo didn't think much of anything as he wandered the halls, occasionally sticking his head into the open rooms as he explored. His hands were stuffed in his pants pockets and he almost nearly started to whistle the theme song to Kamen Rider Drive but managed to refrain.
He heard a voice, suddenly, from the other end of the hall and gravitated towards it. "Dude, ya!" But it seemed someone - actually something - also heard the call. And it was ugly. Now this looked like something from Power Rangers, almost, and the Sun had to laugh as he summoned Koume to his hands and instantly dug her blade into its shoulder.

The reply took him by surprise, the ugly thing even more so, but he managed to get Zephira out in no time and tried to aim for the thing's head like last time.
"Fancy meeting you here," he said through gritted teeth as the ugly took a claw to his arm. It had a lot of those but he barely grazed it. He did recognized the guy as one of the two that welcomed him to Deus...Milo, so it was nice to finally see a familiar face. Unfortunately the fat ugly thing kind of got in the way of a good possible hang-out. How to get rid of it sooner...

In the darkness it was a little hard to tell at first exactly who the other guy was, but with a small amount of squinting and the aid of glowing runes and the creature thing he was able to make out the familiar face.
"Aa, dude! Hey! Howzit?" Totally casual like even while just stabbing the naginata into the poor undying creature, he even twisted the pole arm for added insult to injury for the thing. It barely got in a wail until it was utterly destroyed. It was hard to tell if Koume was pleased with how easy it went down or downright annoyed.
Either way, Milo brought the weapon up as well as he could in the hallway and rested the pole arm against both of his shoulders as he wrapped his arms around. "See you're up and about, got your weapon and everything okay, ya?" Well, obviously, he had it in his hands after all.

The spear was all kinds of badassery and Milo definitely knew how to handle it, judging by how easily he cut through the ugly thing. He even looked pretty damn comfortable killing the thing, which was both unnerving and pretty damn cool to see. A bottle of water rolled out from somewhere nearby the remains, and Rhys leaned down and picked it up before he hefted his sword onto his shoulder as he usually did when she was out and there was no action happening.
"It's goin' alright," he started off with a bit of a shrug, "adjusting and all. And yeah, I got my weapon. See?"
He held out his sword so that Milo could see it a little better. It helped that she was pretty damn bright, almost like a beacon considering the poor lighting in wherever city they were stranded in. "It's weird, havin' the voice in your head. I think you guys said somethin' about it in the pod room when we first met...but yeah, I kinda get it now."

Apparently the big lug had two water bottled lodged somewhere in its massive gut. Maybe it had gotten a hold of a six pack but only two of them had survived.
Milo let out an impressed whistle as Rhys held out his bonded weapon. It was a pretty impressive sword for sure and he almost wanted to touch it to get a nice feel of it, but it always seemed like something not to do with other Hunter's weapons. "You get a chance to try her out at the trainin' grounds?" His eyes looked like they had a wicked plan in them, "We should totally spar when we get back to the island, ya know?" If there wasn't anything Milo liked more after all. Especially since it seemed he was going to be settling back in for a bit.
"Oh yeah, told you I'd introduce you to my weapon. Its still a bit tight in here but hey, this is Koume Shizuka. She's a tengu." He hefted her over his shoulders to hold her out properly, a little awkwardly as well with the walls. "Told you about the voice too, ya know?" He chuckled, "it gets weird when you don't have it, like somethin' in missing."

He shook his head a bit. "Not too much, naw," was the reply. "Feels like I should have though. I've been waving her around like an idiot since I got here, no idea how to use a sword so haven't been too much help with these things." Rhys kicked at a nearby piece of undead ugly to be a little more specific. "But sure, sparring'd be good. No such thing as too much training, huh?"
Rhys gave a nod and rested Zeph on his shoulder as Milo introduced his weapon, officially. "Whoa," was his initial reaction, and he noted at the size of it a little more properly now that it wasn't impaling undead. "Big weapon, bro. No wonder you couldn't summon 'er in the pod room."
He felt the urge to touch it but kept from doing so. Milo didn't make a move to touch Zeph either, so it was probably some kind of a courtesy since weapons were so...personal. He shrugged the shoulder Zeph was on. "Her name's Zephira, and she's a," and he paused to make sure he pronounced it properly (because the last time he got it wrong she totally reamed him for it), "quetzalcoatl."
Talk of the voice got a scoff out of him. "I'm always lookin' for some peace and quiet, though. Maybe after a while longer that'll be the case, but right now? Nope. Wish they came with a mute button."
Rhys glanced back toward the exit then, pondering what to do with his time next. "Wanna walk around a little more?" he then asked, turning back to Milo. "Talk updates about what the hell's been going on and why we're stuck here or something. I'm in the dark about a lot of it, so I could use some news if you got any. Like when the hell we're gonna get home."

There was nothing like a confirmation to a spar, it could only make the Sun Hunter grin from ear to ear. Excellent, he would have to old Rhys up to this (though, given his track record, it was easier said than done).
Giving the mute button a small laugh, Milo flicked the nagniata lightly to desummon her into her smaller belt buckle form; it remained unclasped and in his hand just in case. "Dude, yeah, walking around would be awesome. Need to find Noemi-chan too," The activity never hurt, was good exercise, they could run into other monsters to beat up and well find the girl, "she's a Mist like you, kinda lost her at one point." He scratched at the back of his neck sheepishly.
"Information though, man, you are talkin' to the wrong guy. I never know anything, ya know?" Despite the cluelessness, he didn't seem that all downtrodden about it and even slapped Rhy on the back like he had told a pretty good joke.
