After all the crazy things that had happened, Lorena wanted pay back. The whispers were telling to kill then shadows. Kill the things that were doing this to her. Strangely, she had ended up in a group of people. They were five. Five hunters all armed and ready to go stab happy with the first monster they say. They were taking things down. OH YEA. Lorena was bumped, the whispers fueled her and she wasn’t scratching herself while she had a knife in her hands.
“We’re going to get them, we’re going to get them all.” She whispered to no one in particular.

Outside didn't seem any safer, but Mel decided to take her chances with meandering around the fog as opposed to dealing with the things that happened to her inside the hospital. It was in the middle of her walk that she saw Lorena and she warily, shakily made her way over. Was she real, this one? Was she hallucinating her friends now? Would she stab her to death, too?
She decided to say nothing and instead just walked nearby her, her stomach doing flips the entire time. Soon enough they were a group, but she didn't notice who all was there at first. Then slowly it registered that a majority were from Clearview...
"G-guys...?" she dared to ask, before her eyes were drawn forward, to a shadow figure of someone incredibly...familiar. But shadowy, so she didn't even think too hard about it. It took her all of a second to pull out her fishing rod and attack.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF MY CHARACTER Petit, 5'5" and 114lbs. She is rather fair skinned with relatively soft facial features (compared to her parents) and curiously blue-green eyes. Her hair is a light shade of caramel brown and is naturally wavy, an asset she's rather proud of. [ ref ]
Somehow, in his meadering, Shaun had gotten caught up in a group of people – real people... but he didn't know most of them and that one... wasn't that one...
“Lorena...!” he sputtered, horrified. The woman in his dreams! The woman he had... “Lorena, I'm sorry, I'm sorry...” he started to cry... when some sort of shadow appeared, dark and looming...

"Oh god..." Shaun attacked the shadow, scared and very willing to show that he wasn't a bad guy, honest, truly, he wasn't. He yelped in pain as the shadow responded, the skin of his arm flaying revealing something no, it just hurt. and bled...
"I'm so sorry, Lorena, the dream, I didn't..." he babbled, still halfway apologizing...

Durza was a little enraged, thanks to his infection. His swing went wild and nearly missed its target.
And there it was. Their first victim. Speaking of victims, the prey and become the hunters! And then a voice paused her and she turned to stare at Shaun.
“You! You beat me!” The harsh whispers turned on this man she’d never seen before except in her dream. But the shadow woman was moving towards them now. And the whispers were yelling at her but she turned. She could deal with him later; Lorena turned on the shadow and went to slash at it. Except she tripped and fell missing the slash completely. The whispers were claling her useless now, no good at anything.

Tagging along with the others in the group from her faction, Brie was eager to rid herself of the insanity that followed her at every turn. The only thing that seemed to help with that, however, were the shadowy forms that took a familiar appearance.
As one appeared, she stepped in to assist them in the fight. Luckily though, everyone was doing quite well, even without her assistance. With the creature on the verge of being beaten into submission, she took one final swing at it with the Umbrella she carried with her.
"Well, that was fast." The girl added, lowering her weapon, looking to the others, to make sure they were safe as well.

Shaun cringed away from her - she scared him. Why should you be scared, you were strong. Powerful. Beastly ... and that was exactly the point.
"I know... I know! I'm sorry, I'm sorry..." he gave the dissolving shadow a nervous look, "Please, forgive me, I'll... I'll do anything." He searched her for a wound, something that would explain the blood on her hands.

Moving over to pick up the item left behind by the creature, she snapped up what appeared to be yet another card. Another five card at that. This was her fourth one of these. Perhaps it was a sign of some sort. Who knew? In any case, the threat was gone, and she could already feel herself feeling more like herself. Just a few more of these battles, and she might be back to feeling sane. Well, as sane was one could in the apocalypse.
Stretching her limbs, Brie looked to the others, she kept to herself, tucking the found item away in her pouch. No one here looked like they were doing too bad. So it was probably safe to assume that they would be okay on their own. For now maybe. They would probably have to check in with each other later. Just for a head count or something of the like.
With the shadow good and gone, Lorena relaxed a little. She was feeling a little better. Less scratchy for sure at least, but she still felt paranoid and sickly. Maybe the more they killed the better they would feel? That was a good idea.
“We need to find more, kill more. We’ll all feel good after that.” Lorena stalked off whether or not they followed her.

It was gone before she knew it, which was a relief considering. Another careful look around to the group brought the faintest, briefest of smiles. They were real, which was...good. Maybe she wasn't completely going over the edge yet.
Mel tucked away her fishing rod and approached Lorena, concern etched into her features. She was certain that her friend was standing there, but something kept her from reaching out for a hug or any form of comfort. What if, like in her dream, she completely lost it. She had two knives in her bag...what if the fog made her do something absolutely terrible to her friend? She swallowed the lump in her throat and receded, eyes darting to Durza and Brie and the one other person whom she didn't recognize. They could have all been real, but considering what happened in the hospital...around her, were they safe?
She turned and walked back toward where the shadowy monster thing had dissipated to see if there was anything there for her.

Lo and behold there was a card laying there and she swiped it up. She turned once more to the others, a hand absently going to her arm to scratch at the growing itch there.
You're sure they're real, Melon-pop? Are you sure?
She wasn't, but she didn't want to be alone, either...

Shaun ran off after Lorena, desperate to, somehow, make amends... "Wait! Please... Do you forgive me? Do you? I'm sorry, it was the dream it... I wasn't myself, all right? I swear, I wasn't..."
He didn't know why he needed to beg her forgiveness. He didn't know why he wanted it. But he did. Oh god, he did...

Unbeknownst to Shaun, his shadow followed him, at first a mere reflection in the fog, but soon something more real. It watched him forlornly as it moved, waiting, patient.
Happy birthday, Shaun... the fog whispered, This is what you deserve...
