With the villagers starting to warm up better to Verusha and the rest of the visitors of the town, the requests and quests were pouring in more frequently. And apparently word of her prior victories and successful runs had spread through the small group of natives.
So much so that she was approached by a small handful of them that seemed nervous, but also hopeful in their expressions. They desired more of those prized eggs that say in such precarious areas, with doom and danger all about. But the reaper was always up for a good challenge, and this certainly fit the bill. With her assurance given to the requestee's, she set off to the dedicated mountain, assisted by a cart ride from one of the individuals who'd come to her for the help.
A playful little salute was given, and the ghoul focused her attention on the mountain before her. Glancing down to Cannon, her winning grin slipped into place, "Well Canny, let's get this started."

Once again the ghoul climbed up the massively impressive mountain side, met with various creatures galore all about. She kept an eye on them, noting what was around for when she started back down. If this was anything like last time, she'd be in for a treat when the egg was gathered.
Reaching the top, there it was, sitting and glistening in all its glory; the egg. Carefully plucking it up, she began the descend down... unfortunately, she was completely blindsided by a giant sandwhale whisking by, and taking a large bite of her egg. Dang....
She'd have to start again.

Starting from the bottom again, Verusha climbed up another portion of the mountain, in hopes she might be able to avoid the elusive, gigantic sand whale from eating the next egg. Scaling to the top, she was lucky enough to find a nest free of guarding parents.
"Ok... let's try going down better this time.." she quietly muttered under her breath, beginning the decline. This time something did try and snatch the egg, but it was far less threatening than before. A zombie deer mini, who she had Cannon puff some fire at to startle away.

Getting down from the top successfully, Verusha was vigilantly looking all around her, egg hugged firmly to her chest. But she was surprised to see another sandwhale busting out of nowhere and attempt to knock her, egg, and Cannon down. But she learned from the last time, and pressed into a nook that the large beast couldn't reach them at, waiting until it passed to keep going down.

Back on the ground, she felt a little more at ease. No more giant beasties trying to knock her off the edge of a giant mountain, the reaper was feeling pretty darn good now about getting the egg back to the people. Nothing was going to stop her!

Bypassing yet another sandwhale that tried to block her path, Verusha was starting to wonder if these things were following her... was it a whole bunch, or just a single one that was somehow managing to get stealthily ahead of her each time?
honestly... she wouldn't be too surprised if the latter were true. After the encounter with the random one that appeared so suddenly at the top of the mountain, she wasn't going to underestimate their mysterious ways or nature.
And now... she was most certainly positive they were following her. Because just ahead of her, waiting for her at the base camp, was yet another sandwhale. She stopped, staring at it in mild disbelief etched on her features, blinking slowly, and glancing down to Cannon.
"Please tell me you're seeing this too.." she muttered teasingly, before expelling a long exhale of air, "Alright, let's just get around this thing too, Cannon." she didn't have time to mess with weird, giant sand dwelling whales that were acting strangely and stalking her. She had an egg to deliver.
