There's word here of some oversized minipets that need your help wrangling them to the stables. It's up to you to try your best! If you get a few back in, you might even be rewarded for your time!
Step 1: Go out and find the pet. Out in the wide open fog, where there is only fog and then fog, there are sometimes the shapes of minipets. Roll 1d6 to see what you have to wrangle. All apex pets are 6 feet in height.
1. A basilisk - 1d6 2. A goat - 1d8 3. A wolf - 1d10 4. A spider -1d6 5. A tiger - 1d8 6. Turtle - 1d4
The pet must be carried 30 feet. You must INDIVIDUALLY ROLL seperate dice rolls as you goad the pet by dragging it along its reins. The dice you roll for it is the distance it travels. For example, if you roll a goat, you get to roll separate dice rolls of 1d8 until you cumulatively get 30 feet.
If you roll a 1 at any point the pet will run away! The only way to get it back is if you have the basilisk eye item, that will lock it into place.

Now that they were both back to well, even, Andrew was going to just head back to the bus. Some part of him just wanted to find a nice place to curl up an be warm. He would go back to the Volcano but he was afraid Olivia would follow him and that just would be bad. That and who knew when the buss would be fixed.
So he was on his way back when a villager stopped him. They wanted him and Olivia to wrangle mini pets. Andrew scowled at them. "Why mini pets?"
But they weren't just any mini pets. They were giant mini pets. Why? Andrew glowered at the minis. Nope he did not want to do this.
She probably would have at first, but even she wasn't that dumb to walk into the volcano a second time knowing full well what it had done the last time. (She might have stayed at the entrance and stared in and waited for him though. Like a puppy).
At least they wouldn't have to worry about that, and that he wouldn't see her disappointed face when he wanted to declare that he would go back to the bus and just sit. Because they had been given another task to do which excited Olivia, contrary to Andrew's reaction. And with minipets!
Olivia stared at the stables as well when they arrived, but her eyes were bright and happy and she had a stupid grin on her face like someone had given her the best present ever.
Andrew never saw the disappointment because they were called to do other things. But he did see his shadow smiling like a scareling in a candy store.
"I think we have to catch them." Andrew tried to reduce the amount of scowl on his face for Olivia's sake. He only half succeeded. Instead of looking grumpy he managed to maintain a bored expression, but he made efforts to not ruin it for the ghoul. If she could find some entertainment before they got back on the bus, then good for her. It didn't change his opinion about the whole effort though. Ugh.
It didn't start off with a gentle pitter-patter of scattered raindrops. One moment the dark sky was churning, the next moment the area became drenched in a sudden downpour. No thunder boomed overhead; the only sound aside from the hissing rain was the soft whisper of the wind.
A whisper which grew into a howling shriek as the fog grew thicker, and it arrived.
Of course it would be a dragon. In stories it was always a dragon of some sort, wasn't it? This particular dragon is large and gray like the fog surrounding Misama Village. The rain doesn't seem to fall on it. Rather it falls in an area around it, as if it warded off the rain through the sheer force of its will.
The dragon throws back its head and unleashes a roar loud enough to stop the rain for one, two, heartbeats. The roar fades, and the rain resumes with a greater vengeance. You will not be able to complete this quest while this encounter is active.

Kushala Daora has arrived in your thread! While Kushala is here, you cannot complete your quest. Besides dealing auto damage, Kushala will also affect your Miasma meter. Please see the main event info thread for more information on Miasma and its effects.
Ending the Encounter:
- When Kushala's HP drops to 250/300 HP, he will flee and take his rain with him. Please quote Marushii to receive your loot!
- If someone hits Apex, Kushala will flee. You will not get loot.
- If there are 5 or more players in the thread, Kushala will flee. Kushala can only be fought with 4 or less players.
- Fears cannot be used.
- You can always abandon the quest and [ Exit ] if you do not want to fight Kushala. You will not get loot.
- Loot will not always be dependent on whether you can defeat/repel Kushala. Said loot may be rewarded for outstanding attempts, RP posts, or for good sportsmanship.
- Once Kushala has been defeated/repelled, you may continue your quest.
Catching Olivia instantly reminded her of her first ever field trip to the Scarari Zone, where she didn't exactly catch any minipets but had gotten so many neat items. (And also reminded her, sadly, that she had not seen Molan in so very long).
The sudden rain pulled her from her thoughts. The ghoul stared upward as the first few droplets fell upon her face but her smile soon fell once it started to come down. She instantly turned to Andrew, "Oh no!" He had to get somewhere safe! All around she looked and that was when she spotted it coming from the thick black clouds, its wings like thunder and a roar that parted the rain itself. (Well, standing by it seemed like it would be a good idea for Andrew... but.... it didn't look like it would share its dry spot)
"Do we have to catch that one?" On the one hand, it would be kind of fun but on the other. Did it bring the rain? It might have, Olivia puffed her cheeks at it before turning to Andrew, "we need to get it away!"
Yes, she was going to beat it and save Andrew from the wet stuff! But since it was so up high, all she could do for now was throw a rock at it.

This whole trip was bad enough. they were stranded in the wrong town with unfriendly creeple. It was foggy and not worth the effort to fly away from here. Olivia kept following him around, (which wasn't a bad thing in itself) and had passed out in the volcano. Then he had frozen his tail on the glacier.
The only thing that could make this trip worst was rain.
And then It Jackened rained! Not just a light sprinkle, no it rained buckets. In No time flat Andrew went from comfortable and dry to soaked. Opening a wing Andrew shoved his tail under it as he let out a hissing whine. Galcure? he would suffer through that, Jacken RAIN? No no nope nope nope.
The minis all ran at impossible speeds at the dragon arrived. There would be no catching them at this point. Not that andrew had any intent too.
"I don't think we can catch that." Andrew certainly wanted it gone, whatever it was. "Go away! Get!" Andrew called up a few fireballs and threw them at the beast. His tail blazed at he attempted to at least try and dry himself. He was raging mad and built up a decent attack.

Was she trying to jump? Thankfully Andrew at the advantage of fire balls. the disadvantage was being wet really really sucked. and he could already feel things starting to go numb. Thankfully his wings protected some of him but his face was not one of those things. He pulled up his hood and threw more fireballs.

The dragon crouched, then sprung into the air. He didn't fly away, nor did he fly too far. Instead, Kushala Daora began to hover in place. The dragon opened its maw and began to breathe an icy breath, trying to freeze his opponents in place.

For the next three turns Kushala will attempt to freeze you! Roll as normal, but if you roll double numbers you are frozen. During these three turns, Kushala cannot auto-attack (take no damage and don't add anything to your miasma meter).
When frozen, you cannot attack. Instead, your next turn is simply an RP post (minimum 100 words). After that, you are free.
A "turn" is when Kushala would act (if he was an RPer) so if we assume this post is Kushala turn #1 then it would go like this:
- chiri posts - panth posts - Kusha Turn #2 - chiri posts - panth posts - Kusha Turn #3, effect ends and next posts Kushala attacks as usual.
Olivia was a little envious of Andrew for having something to attack the big dragon thing with, all she seemed to have were random objects she found on the ground to throw - because trying to jump and attack it wasn't working.
She stopped for a moment in her item finding when the big beast began to circle about and turn to hover. Its mouth opened. It seemed like ice was forming. Another worried look towards Andrew about that one. She'd be fine if she got really cold, right? But him.
Olivia threw another rock. It didn't seem to fight back this time. Huh.. it was really trying hard.

Andrew let out a miserable moan and dodged some ice breath, scrambling across the icy ground. This sucked ok? He flapped his wings and just suffered having the rain hit his tail a bit as he barreled into the dragon. Steam rose off of him as he punched the dragon's side. "Go away."
Andrew didn't miss the worried looks but what could he do? Make the thing go away, that was about it.

The big dragon thing was still hovering there, waiting it seemed or at least trying to aim. So, maybe running around aimlessly was doing a good thing? Olivia wasn't sure. It wasn't hitting them, that she did like.
But, she was managing to. This time she found a slightly larger object to chuck at the hovering creature that was attempting to kill them or something. It was a log, and it was okay sized but hard. It struck a wing, and she was pleased.
