Inside the treasure chamber are the thee Great Knights, and those brave enough to follow them into the abyss. The torch lights seem to flicker for a bit, dim out, and then burn in a cold glow. Echoes, not their own, seem to play off each Great Knight's voice.

"Mordred," Percival begins, raising his shield for the offensive, "tell your knights to move away from the gate. It is not to be touched."

"Open your eyes Percival," Morgan immediately counters, drawing his sword as well, pointing an accusing arm at the door. "Do you not see the signs? The sidhe are coming for the gate, and they will not stop until they get it. We need to take action, or it will be too late for us all."

"Too late is correct," Gawain interrupts, moving closer towards the other two. "Don't be foolish either of you. They want us to fight with each other. We need to regroup first, consider what to do in case they arrive. We barely have enough weapons to counter their magic as is."

Percival shakes his head. "The sidhe are the least of our worries. We should not touch the gate. We will protect it instead, and no sidhe or knight shall lay a hand on it. We will protect it, and wait for the Great King's decision on what to do."

"But this gate is our last hope." Morgan takes a step closer to Percival, challenging. "That mirror is an object that reverses enchantment. Just think - all the horsemen, all those shadows, even those remaining sidhe, instead of releasing their army, it would instead, seal them all within the gate. If we move now, it is not too late, and we can still make this the greatest victory of all."

Gawain's grip on his staff tightens. "Or the greatest failure. While knights may be immune to its power, a sidhe, even if a single one survives, could still shatter the mirror, creating an army within Camelot. The gate should be destroyed, for once and for all. A double-sided weapon is no weapon at all, even under the hands of the Great King. Power corrupts, and no man is immune to it."

They each take a step closer, one hand on their respective weapons. Sword, shield, staff.

"It seems like we are unable to come to a consensus." Percival begins, locking eyes with Morgan and then Gawain.

"It seems we are not." Morgan repeats. "I will not let you bring the downfall of Camelot. In the Great King's absence, it is our duty to rule it."

"To preserve it," Gawain corrects, "and who says one has to respect an absent king? I believe only those wise are fit to judge."

Silence.

And then instantly they are locked in combat, Morgan moving first to swing aggressively at Gawain. There is a flash of light, the power of a sacred weapon that sends Morgan sprawling, and then Percival is scrambling to gain footing as he crashes his shield into Morgan, charging forward to push Gawain back as well.

It was immediately chaos, and the whispers of the room didn't make it any easier. They were calling, and it was impossible to resist. The gate, it needed to be-

RP is unlimited, but you can ONLY do three dice roll actions in any of the given GM ORPS PER DAY. For PRP mechanics, continue reading. The three actions you can take are:

gaia_star [ Attacking ]: You can attack either one of the bosses (see links below) OR stay in this thread and attack the gate/mirror. Roll 1d4 to do your usual attack. Post at the top of your post in bold red the cumulative damage done]. Attacking once consumes one action point.

gaia_star [ Moving the Gate ]: This is a unique action. You can choose to instead of attacking anything, move the gate to the mirror in this orp. Post at the top of your post in bold blue cumulative movement done]. Moving once consumes one action point.

gaia_star [ Challenging a player ]: You may also choose to challenge a player. Please see the quote below on challenging players. If you play to challenge a player post at the top of your post in any of the GM ORP threads bold green that you are challenging them. ATTACKING

ATTACKING

Remember that you have THREE action points (and unlimited rp). If you wish to use one of your action posts to attack one of these below, then proceed forward. We recommend that you AT LEAST get one attack in before you do any of the other two options below to keep this rp interesting!

Select a target:
gaia_star [ If you disagree with Gawain go here ] Defeating Gawain will render him unable to fight for the finale of chapter one. You may also move to the thread to question their motives and/or interact with them a little more (doing this does not consume an action point)
gaia_star [ If you disagree with Morgan go here ] Defeating Morgan will render him unable to fight for the finale of chapter one. You may also move to the thread to question their motives and/or interact with them a little more (doing this does not consume an action point)
gaia_star [ If you disagree with Percival go here ] Defeating Percival will render him unable to fight for the finale of chapter one. You may also move to the thread to question their motives and/or interact with them a little more (doing this does not consume an action point)
gaia_star [ If you wish to attack the mirror ] Stay in this thread and rp out attacking the mirror. The mirror has 100 HP. Use your regular dice. Post at the top of your post in bold red the mirror's remaining HP . If the mirror is broken, then NOBODY can move the gate.
gaia_star [ If you wish to attack the gate ] Stay in this thread and rp out attacking the gate. The gate has 100 HP. Use your regular dice. Post at the top of your post in bold red the gate's remaining HP .

When you have finished attacking any of the options below you can go ahead and try a different action, rp a bit with players, or try challenging a player.

MOVING THE GATE

MOVING THE GATE/MIRROR

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.

Remember that you have THREE action points (and unlimited rp). If you wish to use one of your action posts to MOVE the gate you may do so by posting in this thread in IN BOLD BLUE AT THE TOP OF YOUR POST YOU ARE MOVING THE GATE]. Roll 1d10 and then post your cumulative gate moving distance. If the gate has moved a distance of 100, it has successfully moved to the mirror and a very special prompt will begin. Don't forget to rp out WHY your character is doing this! This is only effective if the gate hasn't been destroyed first (see above).

When you have finished attacking any of the options below you can go ahead and try a different action, rp a bit with players, or try challenging a player.

Challenging a Player

CHALLENGING A PLAYER

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.

- AT any point in this RP, or in ANY of the threads listed below, you may quote a player with the words "CHALLENGE" as long as you are in the same thread with them and they have initiated an attack/movement action].

- You cannot challenge someone who is just rping. They need to be doing a red or blue action.

- If you challenge someone [ and they do not respond within 6 hours ] feel free to challenge someone else. In the fortunate event they do respond, hooray you now have two challenges you can complete! (However the action point from the first one is free, so you only used up one action No action points are used!).

- The person BEING challenged does NOT use up an action point. You can have multiple challenge threads as LONG as you have the action points for it.

- This will cause you to start an individual PRP encounter with just that player where you can challenge them. Remember this requires one action point (see above) of your limit of three, so make sure you have an action point! Challenges no longer require action points! Please do not challenge someone already in a challenge.

gaia_star [ Step 1: ] In any of the EVENT ORP threads in this subforum, quote a player your character disagrees with. It could be a player that is saying something nasty, to a player attacking something/someone you are trying to protect. You can only quote one player at a time. Post an OOC quote that you CHALLENGE THEM.

*CHARACTERNAME* HAS BEEN CHALLENGED ]

*RP HERE*
BLAHBLAH CHALLENGES YOU
gaia_star [ Step 2: ]The person challenging should make a PRP thread in THIS subforum, and roll 1d10. Title it [ CHALLENGE ] [NAMES OF CHARS HERE]. Quote them in that thread too AND pm them so they know that a challenge thread has started. The first post should look something like this

**ROLL 1d10**

*RP HERE*
BLAHBLAH CHALLENGES YOU
The higher your 1d10 roll, the more damage you do to the other player. Rp it out. If you don't want to actually attack them, you can try for the *~*~* VERBAL DAMAGE OOOH*~*~* however you want to rp it. They can even lob gold or chickens at each other. It doesn't matter, all it matters is that there is clearly, one victor out of this.

gaia_star [ Step 3: ] The person BEING challenged/quoted now should roll 1d10 as well and do the same thing. If their roll is higher they trump the other person. However, if their roll is lower, it means they were instead, heavily affected by the challenger's actions. They return to the thread, but also lose -5 HP.

gaia_star [ Step 4: ] If the challenger has been defeated (the person starting the thread rolls LOWER than the person posting second), then they should rp a third post with their sad defeat. They lose -5 HP. Both can now leave the thread.

gaia_star [ Step 5 ] Whomever wins the challenge gets one extra action post. They can do with it as they please.

gaia_star [ Step 6 ] But wait! This isn't over! This is simply the end of some very simple dice rolls, but you have a whole opportunity to RP out negotiations with the other character. Even if your character was defeated, you can still try to reason with them. It is up to the other character if they want to listen. You can also attack each other with purely rp.

At any point, if you are feeling uncomfortable with the PRP, you can exit and continue with your rps/actions in the main orp threads, as long as both of you have done your challenging roll. The negotiations/extra prp is just for your characters to get a feel of each other! It is very possible they might even agree with each other, and create an awesome team to band against other people who may disagree! Cultists Knights activate!

EXAMPLE OF HOW A CHALLENGE THREAD LOOKS LIKE

Post 1: I Steve, am angry at Bob, who attacked Gawain. I challenged them in Gawain's thread and made this thread titled [ CHALLENGE ][ STEVE VS BOB ]. In my first post, I roll 1d10 and rp i out the result.

Let's say I rolled a one. I would RP out Steve lunging forward to attack, and maybe tripping or something on a pile of gold since 1 is a pretty lame roll. Make sure I quote Bob, and let them know via PM if there is no response within 4 hours.

Post 2: I Bob, now enter the thread, having been informed I have been challenged. The gauntlet has been THROWN. Bob rolls 1d10, and rolls a 2. He throws his gauntlet, and now quotes Steve's rper. Because Bob's roll is higher, oocly, Bob's rper gains +1 action point.

Post 3: Steve, because his roll is LOWER than Bob's can now rp out his defeat. It could be physical, as in he is harmed by the gauntlet and gives it. IT could be that he was so impressed by Bob's gauntlet throwing skills that he sparkles in admiration. It could be that Steve suddenly keeled over with dysentery.

Post 4: Now this thread is open for negotiation. Both RPers can go their merry ways, or they can continue rping. Maybe they have a discussion about this. Maybe they continue fighting each other through the power of RP. This part is ENTIRELY up to the players. It is a great way to engage, and to talk things through. At any point the players may exit, and pick any orp thread to reside in. Remember that even if you are OUT of action points, you can still rp as you wish with other players.

[MOVING THE GATE/MIRROR - TOTAL MOVEMENT +5]

Radley looked between the three people and jumped back when a fight broke out, her hands shaking as her eyes widened with fright. Why were they fighting? Weren't they friends?

Sliding almost along the wall towards the gate, the frizzy-haired girl pursed her lips and darted towards the gate, feeling in her soul that it was just the right thing to do. Rubbing her hands together, she twisted and pushed her whole body against the gate, moving it five feet.

Chancing a glance back at the three fighting, she hoped that she wasn't spotted - the last thing she wanted was to be on the receiving end of any of them for something she just felt was right.

[Attacking the Gate] - Remaining Gate HP: 98

((Action 1/3))

Of the three Great Knights, Ruth could not say with whom she truly sided. She could reason that as someone who pledged to join the White Knights she should listen to Gawain out of principle. His talk of the sidhe should have frightened her, should have strengthened her resolve to serve the Great King. Instead, she found herself intrigued, even excited by this information. Something inside her wished to meet these dangerous creatures. For what reason she couldn't possibly know nor understand.

Could it be that she was already under the thrall of one? The very notion chilled her. She did not treasure her ignorance and her gratitude at being informed resulted in her decision to do as the Great Knight said. Her cudgel was brought out and the blonde rushed forward to give a strike. Unfortunately, another woman was in the process of moving it, causing Ruth's aim to falter.

Perhaps she ought to have struck this other woman instead.

[Action: 1/3]

With a grim look on her face, Nellie nodded, acknowledging Gawain's warnings about the enchanted gate and the sidhe as she readied her longbow and followed after him. What happened next however was something that she never thought would ever happen even in her wildest dreams, with an argument and then a fight breaking out between the three Great Knights when they could not come to an agreement on what they ought to do next in order to save Camelot and her people.

Taking a few steps back, she looked at the gate that Gawain had earlier warned them about, the mirror and the three Great Knights who were currently locked in combat with each other. She couldn't bring herself to strike down either of them with any of her arrows from where she stood. Not while she knew that all of them had made their respective decisions based on what they perceived would serve Camelot best given the dire circumstances that they now faced.

What Morgan said about the sidhe coming for the gate piqued her interest though. If the gate was destroyed, surely the sidhe wouldn't have any reason to invade Camelot anymore? Without the sidhe playing a part in the siege, perhaps they would be better able to fend off the invading horsemen and shadowlings which knights like themselves were all originally trained for? It seemed to her like the best course of action to follow through with for now and so she reached for one of her arrows, letting it fly towards the gate even if all it did was put a mere scratch on its still shiny surface.

[Enters]

To Danirate Levinski, battling is always so much better when he did not have to think about anything else aside from how to win with strategy in instincts, reflexes, and executions of calculations swiftly made. He rather not engage in any activity, combat or not, if he had to risk a headache while in the middle of it to attempt to largely figure out what was happening, experience conflicting thoughts, etc etc blah blah blah. Really combat for him was far more thrilling when there is less worry, except worry was at least near impossible for him his ego cut in, less unnecessary insistence of prompts of stress he had to deal with hearing tugging pleas in strains to consider even if dealing with such meant in the form of rejecting or resisting them, and far, far more, and if he had a choice, 100 percent: this is the enemy, and bringing them down with his all so powerful strength.

And so thus, he waited, and he listened, and he refrained from drawing his weapon as so very hard for him that it was. But he was sure that this show of patience would pay off and would yield better outcomes on the battling front. And very importantly this out of battle state would not last long, he was so very sure of this, and so meanwhile he could consider saving his energy for bigger and better opportunities of experiencing battles he could fully unleash his warrior force in and that also presented him with greater thrills. Perhaps he would even step out from this location of strangeness at some point as he could perhaps also decide to return later. Surely for him he would be present and parttaking in claiming his triumph when there is far more thrilling battle taking place not long from now.

So now he's taking a moment, a few at most to try to get this straight. There are proposals to rid of the mirror, use it, or defend it. Indeed there was far more thrilling times and situations of battling ahead surely, and thus Danirate went on his way for now to return to fighting full force when the really thrilling battle was ready for him soon.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF MY CHARACTER
At last, after much practice, knight in training Danirate Levinski now has fairly little trouble with wielding his longsword to perform the basic strokes. However, he, this man, tall and proud, and whose crown of hair likens to that of the sun at the horizon's edge, did indeed have plenty of ground to cover still before he was capable of being recognized as a knight no longer in training, the next milestone he has set his sights on. So as to reach this next goal of his, he fully intends to continue to maintain his foundations and innovate as he proceeds onward.

[MOVING THE MIRROR: TOTAL MOVEMENT = +6]
[Action 1/3]
As he watched dumbfounded at the clash between the three Great Knights, he asked himself; which argument are true?

Destroying the gate? First of all, a gate is something to be passed through. Why are the thralls aiming for it? To pass through it.

And what will they gain should they passed it? What lies beyond the gate?

He can think several things, but Morgan's speech gives a little hint in it. " In the Great King's absence, it is our duty to rule it."
Could it be, the Great King is beyond the gate? If that's what happened, then would not destroying the gate is the same act as exiling Him from his own Kingdom?

Then breaking the Gate is not advised. Now, how about the Mirror?

"That Mirror is an object that reverses enchantment. Just think - all the horsemen, all those shadows, even those remaining sidhe, instead of releasing their army, it would instead, seal them all within the gate. If we move now, it is not too late, and we can still make this the greatest victory of all."

So if the Gate is an object to be PASSED, bringing the Mirror to it will reverse its property. But should a thrall broke the Mirror when it's reversing the Gate, then from it will spew abominations.

The answer is now clear for him.

The only way out of this---is to bring the Mirror to the Gate---

-and crash them against each other, breaking the Mirror!

With the theory, Rei hurriedly ran amidst the growing chaos of Great Knight battling each other, Apprentice Knights dissing each other in bouts, others trying to protect their own Great Knight's ideals, and some other trying to break either Gate or the Mirror.

But the Mirror sure is heavy! He can see other knight trying to push the Gate to the mirror-did she also arrived at the same conclusion as him?

((Action 2/3))

Ruth watched as another joined Gawain's cause of destroying the gate, her mouth pulling into a smile as it was struck. More force would have been better, but one could only do so much. Especially against an enchanted artifact. It made sense their paltry strikes could only slowly chip away while physically moving it was easier.

It was, after all, already here.

The blonde woman's arm wound back, and she struck a second time.

Ruth recognized the man and stayed her hand. She was trying to break the gate, not her fellow apprentices. Though as she listened to him prattle on, she wondered why she should maintain her stance. She glanced over to Gawain before returning her attention back to the fool attempting to move the gate.

"When one takes great risks, one must be prepared to face the consequences," she intoned with a voice that boomed and sounded far more fitting for a large man. "We've no reason to think he's within the mirror nor that he passed through this gate."

The sight of another apprentice-knight, one who like herself also followed the Great Knight Lancelot, hacking away at the gate gave Nellie the confidence and reassurance that her decision to pursue the gate's destruction was correct. There would be others joining their cause eventually. She had absolute faith in that.

For now, she would do what she could with her arrows and hope that the gate would be destroyed before it came into contact with the mirror that was slowly drawing closer as a result of the combined efforts of two other apprentice-knights.

He listened to her argument. Yes, there's no proof that the Great King has passed through the gate. But then again how to explain his sudden disappearance? Even if he took off the Kingdom secretly, where will he travel? To the mouth of enemy forces outside? No.

"You heard it yourself; should a thrall touched the gate, it'll summon their forces. Exposing the gate to the mirror will reverse the effect, but Knights like us cannot activate it due being immune. Then the only way out is to make the Gate smash the Mirror, reversing the army of thrall into our ally!" He explained.

"You said yourself that when one takes great risk, he should also prepared to face the consequences. Then I'll take that chance and the risk associated with it. You can damage the gate as I pushed, no problem. Just save the last blow until my conjecture proven false." He resolved and continued to push the Gate even farther, leaving the female Knight.

Determined to ensure that the mirror had no chance of reaching the gate at all, Nellie grabbed another arrow as soon as she released her previous one, smiling to herself as this one hit its mark with a sound that resonated within the entire room. That was her best shot by far and there would be plenty more where that came from so long as she stayed true to and never lost sight of her own beliefs and convictions just like Gwain had advised just before they departed from the great hall.

Entering the treasure chamber, Pokerus was amazed at just how much there was. Gold coins, gemstones, goblets, swords, this place had it all. Having followed Morgan here she wasn't sure what he was going to do, but before anything happened Percival and Gawain arrived, both raising their weapons and...

....

They couldn't be serious

Pokerus could only stand there and watch as the great knights, the ones who were supposed to lead them to victory and fight the bad guys, were fighting each other.

This was just...stupid.

"Are you guys serious?!" She said incredulously, scrambling out of the way before she could get hit by anything. "The enemy is out there! WHY ARE YOU GUYS FIGHTING?!" Shouldn't they be saving their strength? It was madness, pure and utter madness!

Each of them had a different idea of what to do, and it was hard for her to know who was right. Though it made sense to use the mirror thing to destroy their enemy and save the day, it did also sound dangerous. But their code ordered them to obey the great king, but he wasn't here so-

Ugh, her head was hurting.

Pokerus couldn't make up her mind. She had no idea what was the right answer, but she knew enough that none of them should be fighting like this. Perhaps it might be wiser to stop them, but she didn't know how. Nor could she fathom attacking any of them, even Morgan. He may of been a a**, but he did help her escape the snake so there must of been good inside him. To hurt any of them would go against everything in the knights code.

And now the other apprentices were starting to fight amongst themselves. Everything was going to hell in a hand basket.

"This is insane..." She mumbled, walking towards Percival.

OVING THE MIRROR: TOTAL MOVEMENT = 21
: The room they stood in was a far cry different from anywhere else she had been. From the ramparts where arrows had filled the black sky with light striking down beast after to beast. To the courtyard empty and deserted minus the head of one lingering beast staring at them all with hatred still in its dead eyes. She had even spent a moment talking to Riley in the halls between all of it.

Now however they stood in a room of riches, a room in which Morgan also stood and at once all of the hair on Sammy's neck stood on end as she pulled her hood tighter down over her face. The way everyone was standing it looked like a fight would break out between all three great knights, and their own would soon follow, the worst part of it all?

She agreed with Morgan.

While she wanted to defend the kingdom and the keep she also felt the best way to do that was to fight back. What good would come of turning back their enemy to let them regroup and try again later when you could kill them all at once?

That thought in mind she threw her weight against the gate shoving it towards the mirror determined to capture every last shadow, and maybe shove Morgans smug face in after them...
