Riley felt a kinship with this particular monster, until it attacked her. Then she felt a kinship with smacking it with her staff.

It was huge. Whatever it was. It looked like much of what she had fought before, but it was a great deal bigger, and felt...what was it? More evil. Eva was shaking a bit as she backed slowly away from it. She would need the range to use her crossbow. She fell a bit back behind the others and pointed her crossbow at it. Unfortunately, it missed.

"He isn't my friend." Riley refused to speak bitterly towards Noemi, because the woman had been so helpful. But that was a mistake she had to correct. "It is good to see you again, though. May I ask both of your names? Mine is Riley. It's a pleasure."
But it was not a pleasure to knock her staff against the monster in retaliation for it's attack.

Eva blinked. It was odd to think that this was the first time she had been spoken to directly since her initiation. It was also at this moment that she decided that her own voice was odd, and she did not want to hear it. Hers was just too...stuck, not fluid the way that those of her companions sounded. She did not like it. But at the same time, the question did need an answer, it would be simply rude to not share her name if she was so politely asked it. She rolled back onto the balls of her feet a couple times and fiddled nervously with her crossbow, before responding in a small voice. "Epha." She shot a weak grin at the other two, trying to show that she was indeed very pleased to meet them, and then shot at the monster again.
