The war room connected directly to the great hall, a strange but necessary setup. There were maps littered across the floor, in various stages of disarray, but they painted a disappointing and grim picture, covered in thick blots of black ink.
Territory was something the survivors did not have.
There was nobody in the room currently, though it seemed like someone had hastily left an assortment of quills on the table, in the middle of meticulously scrawling in perfect lettering some message, probably another state of emergency and immediate address.
Behind the war room was what was left of a once great library, now just several dust-covered tomes. Some of them might have had beautiful manuscripts, had they not aged and decayed entirely. There was something uncanny about the decay of these otherwise beautiful books, as if something unnatural had claimed and corrupted them, and taken away decades of history. The stories of knights, the legacies of heroes, they had all been scattered.
All that remained were a few pages here and there of what might have been.

- If you are unfamiliar with the middle ages a quick wikipedia search is fine! As this is an AU, as long as there aren't like, laser beams and robot unicorns, historical lenience is okay. This is much more fantasy medieval than regular anyway, surely people understand what that is about!
- Right now, PRP Sanctuary and Battle Arena are closed. You may interact in the three orps for as long as you'd like until they open (ETA May 5th - 6th)
- Have fun! You may interact with the setting as you wish. A GM prompt may occur later on, you are always free to quote it and interact with the GM and/or interact with other people in the room. This is an rp to introduce characters to each other after all!
- Additional prompts: If you'd like, your character can search the piles of books (and make up any titles they see). I'm sure there's some real winners in there, like Lusty Female Knights and the sort. Too bad most of the pages are tattered...

The girl knocked on the large room, frowning. "Hello...? Is anyone in here?"
When she got no response, she made her way inside, looking around and frowning. "...I... this probably isn't where I need to be..."
She was talking to herself. Embarrassing. She probably wasn't supposed to be here, either, but despite herself, Estel ended up creeping towards the table. The writing looked elegant, but as she couldn't read a word of it, she found herself focusing on the maps.
She pulled the hood of her cloak back from her head to see a little better, crouching down and squinting at the markings on the parchment of one such map on the floor of the room.

(Will add response in a second) (Edit: Well it would have been a second if my 3DS hadn't died at 4am :/ )
Camilla's face was grim as her head pounded and the dark memories flowed around her she was shaking quite violently as a mixture of fear and horror was painted on her face but finally as the last painful throb came a sort of peace began to settle on her the grim memories began to slow before disapating completely it was like a dark fog was lifting leaving no trace of it's nightmarish presence behind the shaking soon stopped as a calm expression settled on the girl she felt... hallow for a second before even that feeling was replaced with another
What happen next maybe would seem strange to some as everything eased down Camilla... smiled... a genuine warm smile probably the first sense the whole nightmare had begun slowly she looks up once more at Galahad with a happy and loyal expression after a moment she stands up and bows respectfully to him before walking off desiring only to wander a bit while she mulled over how she was feeling
It was strange... she felt so light... so at ease and strangely... happy she felt like she had finally been able to do something that she'd always wanted to do but she wasn't sure what it was... but whatever it was she felt proud and cheerful about it this coupled with the fact that now she was a Knight-Apprentice that she now could make a difference had her smiling with a bounce to her step she had worried before that she'd lose herself if she lost her memories but now it became clear... that by losing her memories she was no longer weighed down by the nightmares she'd seen and could now more genuinely be her true self!
Camilla hadn't wandered far when she came to a door it was grand and large but left open was she allowed to go in there? Her curiosity got the better of her and finally she poked her head in what she found was a large room with scrolls and maps littered everywhere curiously she blinks at them before stepping fully into the room most of the maps were blotted almost completely with black ink and it took her only a second to realize what that meant... she frowns a bit then moves on as she quickly loses interest in the grim sight and instead allows her interest to drift to a piece of paper on the table the letting was beautifully done but the words themselves confused her... She could read very well yes but the message seemed to be based off knowledge she didn't have and so it made no exact sense to her...
With the maps and letter now not holding her interest her eyes finally drift to the sad reminisce of what was once a grand library curiosity tugged her towards it and she soon found herself pawing through the old books till she finally came to one that piqued her interest "Herbs and you! Writen by... Friar Matthew?" she says whispering the title and tilting her head that sounded interesting! Or well it did until she opened the book and found it in various states of decay... Most of what once was beautiful illustrations and letting was either faded or out right gone... it looked as if a moth or three had been feasting on the parchment as well... still though there was some readable parts and even though there was another girl in the room Camilla wasn't quite ready to socialize just yet and instead focused on piecing what she could read from the book together

Ri didn't know exactly what she was doing in the War Room, only that she heard a voice come from this direction. And it was a good thing to explore your surroundings when you didn't know where you were, right? Upon entering, she saw the source: two young girls. One dressed in a black cape and another, mousy looking girl with brown curly hair.
Not wanting to disrupt them from their work, Ri decided to pick up a damaged book instead. She flipped open the cover and read the ornate letters of the title within: "101 Tricks to Teach Your Cat".
Disappointed, she tossed it aside and looked for another thing to read.

Estel shot to her feet, realizing with some alarm that she wasn't alone anymore. "Hello," she said quietly, looking at the two other occupants of the room. She winced a little as the newcomer threw a book aside. "You can read?" she asked curiously, moving closer.

"Hello." Ri looked up from "Anyone Can Cook" with a slightly raised eyebrow. Not fully understanding why the other girl sounded surprised.
"Yes...?" She answered. "I like reading, but there doesn't seem to be anything interesting here." She tossed the large cookbook aside.

"I don't know how." She glanced down, blushing faintly. With a start, she realized that she didn't know whether that was unusual or not. Why had she never learned?
Well, perhaps that wasn't important. She was here to fight shadows, not to read books.
Estel smiled, holding a hand out. "I'm Estel, and you are...?"

"Huh." Ri thought that was a little odd. Though she couldn't remember if it was a rare skill. She took the hand of friendship and shook it.
"Rhiannon. But just Ri is fine." She looked around the room curiously. "Find anything interesting, yet?"

Estel shook her hand. "Ri? Nice to meet you." In response to her question, she gestured vaguely around the room. "Maps," she said simply. "I was trying to retrace the route I took to get here, and I realized I couldn't remember how. I know the roads - I've seen these maps before - I just don't remember where I was born." She seemed more puzzled than concerned about the fact.
"Someone should clean this place up," she added, looking about the room and shaking her head. Since that someone might as well be her, Estel began picking things up from the floor - returning the maps to the table, gathering the quills scattered across the table into one pile.

Rhiannon looked at her companion strangely. 'That's just silly. How could you not know where you came from?', she thought. Then she realized, neither could she. Not even if she tried. She was slightly worried, but figured it would come to her eventually.
"That's... strange. Neither can I." She went and looked at the large map to see if it would help her memory, but anything readable was completely covered in black. She looked up to find Estel attempting to return order to the room and figured she might as well follow. Ri gathered a pile of books from the floor and attempted to find where they might belong on the shelves.

"It's my first day," Estel said, moving into the library and using her apron to dust off some of the abandoned books. "I'll be following the code of the Stallion... what about you?" She turned her head away, coughing into her sleeve. "Egh, dusty in here..."
There was something off about the library. Estel moved into the center of the room, turning in circles and looking at the sparsely-populated shelves. "So much space for so few books..."

[ Llyr entering ]
Llyr had wandered into the library looking, for the most part, like he had arrived there mostly unintentionally and was not quite certain as to what exactly he was doing in such a place. His dark hair was pulled back by a velvet ribbon into a neat ponytail that draped halfway down his back, and his vibrantly blue eyes scanned the room with a disinterested, vague sort of expression in them.
Approximately ten minutes after entering, Llyr became aware that he was not the only person in the room. He blinked around at the others, shifting idly from one foot to the other, and offered both young women a faint, hesitant smile, though he didn't cross to them, reaching instead for a book on the shelf.
He flipped through it, gazing at it, until a moment later, he realized it was, in fact, upside-down.

"I'm following the Eagle." She lifted "1,000 Ways to...", a book that was half-destroyed, and set it on the shelf. "And it's my first day too. At least... I think it is." Ri said with a hint of confusion. She shoved a book back into place and went to grab another.
"It is weird isn't it? Whoever took the books must have really needed them. Who else who leave such a mess?" She dusted off a book cover and set that on the shelf before her.

"Maybe they got moved to another library," Estel suggested. She jumped a little as she noticed the other person standing in the library - how long had he been there?
"Hello," she said, smiling. "Are you a new knight-apprentice, too?"

"Maybe." She turned to see what Estel was looking at and saw the newcomer. She returned his smile and went back to collecting books from their various resting spots, some moldering in her hands.
