EVENT RULES AND HOW TO gaia_crown [ General Rules and Regulations ]:
- DO NOT DELETE ANY POSTS. If you make a mistake, simply edit your post to reflect that you have erred, and make a new post!
- If you have any questions, there is a handy dandy Q+A thread!
- Please respect other players! Everyone wants to be able to play and have a good time, so please play nicely!
-This event is primarily focused on the RP storyline aspect, the Arena and Castle Sanctuary PRP/ORP system is merely a fun side addition!
- At the end of the event, there will be newbie / veteran nominations, so make sure to keep an eye out for anyone you think deserves a nomination! These will be user voted on.
- There will be prizes at the end, and chances for your quest to be made into a real student, but due to the number of participants (100+), please understand that not all quests will be able to be enrolled!
gaia_crown [ Communication, Blast Chats, Special Events ]:
- At any point if you need to contact any of the GMs regarding extenuating drama, you may pm WE ARE HALLOWEEN. Otherwise, please use the Q+A. Our shop gms will be more than happy to help with battle mechanics.
- If you would like to join our event blast chat, please do so HERE! This chat was specifically made for users to enjoy. Please abide by the blast chat rules thank you!
- Make sure you read the daily announcements before doing anything else. They will affect IC lore and event changes. You can have it bookmarked HERE.
- One major "chapter" update will happen once every 48 hours. There will be prompts scattered in between, but the major ones are the ones that require a prompt from the user (minimum requirement) to get rp points in the future! Everything else is up to you and how you want to develop this character.
gaia_crown [ How this event works/ RP information ]:
- CHAPTER UPDATE/ GM ORP: As said, one major chapter update will happen once every 48 hours. There will be a prompt for you to respond to. Sometimes they are creating personal threads, sometimes you can respond in the thread, sometimes you have to interact with others, or down a boss. This is an event based on decisions so you often find your character will have to make a major decision which prompt they want!
- Please disable sigs when posting in large ORP threads so people with slow internets don't get overwhelmed by pages and pages of sigs!
- Please type [ ENTER ] at the top of your post if your character is entering the area for the first time an d[ EXIT ] if they are leaving for another area so people know not to quote them!

- BATTLE RP: In the arena you can engage in sparring PVP and later on, be able to battle large monsters. Please visit the Arena Battle Mechanics for more information!
- PRP THREADS: You can PRP here at any time during the event. IT could be in relationship to an existing event going on. When doing this make sure that the setting/area is canon to the chapter. Ie: If there is a battle going on, you can write a PRP on how your character battles with another character or helps drag a wounded person out of battle to chat to, or a pep talk prior to the battle. Please do not write your character suddenly leaving the field to arrive in some magical area where they are entirely safe in that duration. Due to that you CAN backwrite PRPS, so picking a setting via choosing if it is from chapter one, two, three, etc. For more information, please read this.
- JOURNAL: Your character will be asked to make a journal, so you can better keep track of their achievements, and rp points for later. Make sure you link everything you've obtained in your journal, as well as the threads your character is in! Future you will thank yourself for doing this!
- PROMO THREAD: Much like the actual shop promos, once your knight has gained enough rp points from the event, you can promote them! They must also fulfill all the criteria located HERE. This will upgrade their dice stats and let them obtained their sacred weapon (see below for full info).

FREE EVENT RAFFLES
gaia_crown [ Free Character Raffle! ] While this is an event that focuses on rp (as mentioned) we do have the additional bonus that you can use the points you've obtained in the event to purchase raffle tickets. Each time you write more than 600 words in a thread, you can redeem it in for rp points. This can be in a battle thread, a prp thread, orp, event orp prompt, etc etc. You can only turn in however, ONE point a day max!

gaia_crown [ Black Ticket Vendor ] If you do arena battles, you can turn in your prizes for minis or Gaia prizes via the black ticket vendor. These black tickets can be won from boss drops, if you are lucky enough! You can turn in as many as you earn! This lasts all event.

STEP 1: CREATING A CHAPTER JOURNAL - All players need to create a gaia_crown [ CHAPTER JOURNAL ]. Please do this before you read on any further. By going here!
- You can log in your CHAPTER JOURNAL all important rps going on with your character with handy link as well as any IC bonuses gained. At the end of the event, you can simply use your journal to calculate the amount of RP points earned!
- Once you are finished your chapter journal please go to the next post.

STEP 2: FILL OUT MAIN PROMPTS - Now that you have completed your journal you can do the main storyline prompts!
- Check out the first main prompt here
- Once every 48 hours will be one major prompt. This is a turning point in terms of storyline and is considered the only "must" requirement of the event to get rp points. Please read the IC and OOC parts in each main prompt to make sure you know what to do.
- Some of these will be labelled as GM ORP
- When writing a GM ORP please use this format below at the BOTTOM of your post. This is the OOC part. That way anyone can click on the spoiler to help them out with your character!
- When you are done with the main prompt you can go ahead and check out extra things such as arena battles, additional ORPS, or PRP (see below)

STEP 3: ARENA BATTLES/BATTLE ORP
- Now your character can participate in Arena Battles! Battles will be divided into Arena Battles, located ONLY in the Arena Subforum, and ORP battles. Make sure to read the in depth arena battle guide (for Arena only).
- For boss ORP battles, please RP out all battles. Roll your dice first then immediately edit your post in the OOC with the damage done. Then, at your leisure, go back and edit your post with RP. In the arena subforum, you only have to rp out your first post.
- To keep this simple please when editing your post with damage done, tally the REMAINING HP of the boss. This is easy, just look at the person's post above you and subtract your amount. This is why it is critically important you IMMEDIATELY EDIT YOUR POST WITH THE REMAINING BOSS HP so people know what to subtract!
- All characters have 30 HP to start. When they are promoted to full knight they will get 50 HP. It cannot be upgraded further.
- Don't forget to add this tiny snippet to the bottom of your post along with the usual OOC stuff! [quote="BATTLE DAMAGE"]

[b]BOSS REMAINING HP[/b] [/quote] - Simply roll 1d4 to attack. The dice you roll is the damage you do. HOWEVER:
- At any point if you roll a 1, it is considered a MISS. That means you must RP out your character missing in a battle ORP outside of the arena.
- At any point if you roll two of the same dice in succession that is a critical hit! You will do 2x the damage next round. This is simply in post succession, so if you post, and roll a 4, and someone posts between you and rolls 5 and you post and roll a second 4, it still counts. It means the second 4 you roll now does 8 whopping damage. However, if you roll a third consecutive 4, that does not do double damage and instead, resets the count (so you woul dhave to roll a fourth 4 in order for you to double hit)
- Example 1: I post and roll 3, I do 3 damage. Next post and roll 3, but I now do 6 damage since it's a critical hit!
- Example 2: I post and roll 1 I post and roll 1, I still miss twice :C
- Example 3:I post and roll 4, I do 4 damage. I roll again, get 2, do 2 damage. I roll again and get a 4, I do 4 damage.
- Your basic dice roll attack stats can be upgraded! Please check the additional upgrades post below to see how.

STEP 4: UPGRADING YOUR CHARACTER gaia_crown [ Sealed Cards ] Every single time you finish a Main Rp prompt there will be an IC announcement at the end of that prompt when it closes for you to pick up sealed cards depending on what choices/ rps you did! Please add these to your chapter journal
- When you have collected 3 sealed cards you may upgrade your character to a full knight. You will have to post a quick Knight Trials solo here to obtain your Sacred Weapon (see below). This is a simple one time thing, future upgrades do not require rp. Your dice battle stats are upgraded to 1d6.
- All characters have 30 HP to start. When they are promoted to full knight they will get 50 HP. It cannot be upgraded further.
- When you have collected 5 sealed cards cumulatively you may upgrade your character's dice stats to 1d8. So, this includes the 3 you got prior.
- When you have collected 10 sealed cards cumulatively you may upgrade your character's dice stats to 1d10. So, this includes the 5 you got prior. This is the final stage for your knight in terms of battle damage.
gaia_crown [ Sacred Weapons ]: Apprentice knights start off with their regular weapons (the one you signed up the event with). When they have collected enough sealed cards they may take trials solo to upgrade their weapon.
- The weapon is not actually upgraded it is replaced. The weapon chooses the knight, and blesses the knight with its power. A sacred weapon always comes with a chain as its full power is sealed, to prevent knights from trying to access too much power and going insane as a result.
- Apparently there is a way to unseal your sacred weapon but it requires the use of sacred points (see below).
gaia_crown [ Sacred Points ]- Sacred points are a separate system from sealed cards. Please make sure you consistently update your event journal with how many sacred points you have. You do not need to post where each one came from, but you may be checked for credibility.
- Every time your character rolls a critical hit anywhere (ie; rolls a dice, then a duplicate dice), they gain a sacred point. When this happens, don't forget to upgrade your character's battle log! You can only obtain 5 a day this way.
- Sometimes you will be quoted if your character does an exemplary prompt during the GM orps and that character will be rewarded sacred points!
- When your knight hits 100 sacred points, they will unseal their sacred weapon. Because of this, common sense wise, you cannot start collecting sacred points until your character actually has their sacred weapon.
- When your knight hits 100 sacred points, they will get a special rp prompt, but only if they are one the first three to do so. Please pm Zoobey to initiate the prompt, with a link to the journal! If you hit 100 sacred points after this, there will be an ORP posted after the special prompts are done for everyone else.

STEP 5: KNOWING YOUR EVENT LORE When engaging in things such as the PRPS and even event orps, it is important for you to know some world lore! Here is a small history of what has happened so far/ what your character might know!
gaia_crown [ History of the World As You Know It ] A year ago a, great catastrophe happened, as shadows overtook the world. It is said they were summoned by horsemen
- The horsemen are considered creatures spawned by greed and chaos, remnants of dark monsters and emotions from the past. They are the literal beasts that haunt every living human's moment, their cruelty renown.
- Humans who follow the horsemen are called Riders. Riders are humans corrupted by greed, bearing a sigil of the horseman they follow. Eventually the corruption runs too deep and kills them.
- Magic does indeed exist, but not in the conventional way. Instead, all magic is contained within stones, runes, and artifacts. These can be used/wielded at a great cost, but are excessively rare. Due to the nature of these, the Great King has asked that all magical artifacts be passed to him. Any seen using one without the Great King's permission will be imprisoned, regardless of what reason .
- There are not only horsemen but also lesser creatures known as shadowlings, blobs and masses of creatures without true substance. They gather together in horrific swams, more terrifying simply because of their large clusters. Individually they are non threatening.
- Creatures other than horsemen exist, some say they separated from the horsemen, others say they were created from something else. They fight for land, just like the horsemen, enveloping the world in more darkness. They are extremely hostile towards humans. They take the form of all sorts of mythical creatures (any greek/roman/welsh/norse mythology creatures).
- Most of the world has been destroyed, taken over by the different warring factions of "shadows". Humans are simply a collateral, villages entirely burnt and destroyed from anything from horsemen plagues to shadowling infestations to creatures using humans as food for their young. This has happened rapidly over the past year, the humans loosing every single battle until there is only one sanctuary remaining, that of Camelot.
- Camelot is ruled by one great king. In his absence, it is the duty of the Seven Great Knights to fulfill his role and continue to fight against the darkness.
- The "darkness/shadows" refers to all manners of factions, from shadowlings, to horsemen, to the creatures. For most humans, they can't really tell the difference - if it is scary and breathing literal shadows/ consuming your soul, run.
- When your character gives away their ---- as seen in the first prompt of this event ever, they do not have to worry about detailed backstory.
gaia_crown [ The Knight code of conduct: ]
- A knight must follow their individual code, for example, a knight of the gold order must follow pride and nobility, making sure to uphold themselves to the highest standards.
- A knight must go on quests in order to further themselves.
- A knight must always help those in need.
- A knight must learn to master their weapon, even if they are unfamiliar with it
- A knight must master the art of riding. They often need to travel long distances. ((OOC: Yes you may pick a pony for your knight. Please have it actually be a horse of some regular colour/breed, you can design the armour/tack style yourself).
- A knight must fight even if outnumbered. They do not retreat unless they are told by a Great Knight or the Great King.
- A knight must sacrifice themselves for their king at all costs
- A knight must destroy the darkness. They must show no pity towards the darkness
- A knight must pledge obedience
- A knight should remember their place

INFORMATION ON GREAT KNIGHTS!As the Great Knights make prominent appearances, here is a quick rundown of their physical descriptions. Hopefully this will help in rps!
[ Morgan ] Morgan is the red knight, bearing the sigil of the wolf. He wears pelts as a cape around his shoulders. Lithe with pale skin and shoulder-length curly dark hair. Has a distasteful personality, and often says what he thinks will rile other people, always combative and challenging in nature.
[ Mordred ] Sibling to Morgan, with dark hair and pale skin. Often seen with lots of accessories and a long fluffy cape. Beautiful and aware of it. Likes to languish.
[ Gawain ] A short mid-aged man with a long beard and disheveled look. Birds hide in his beard. Wears lighter leather armour for what he claims is mobility. Often mistaken for a wizard, he indignantly replies that he is an alchemist, a man of science, not magic.
[ Galahad ] A tall spectacled man with neatly trimmed hair. His cloak and armour are all a regal gold. Considered a ladies gentleman, he can often be seen in the library reading a good book, or two. His suit is a little TOO polished, but who could blame him.
[ Merlin ] A thin pale man with dark hair and unremarkable features but intense eyes. Likes to wear hoods and be shrouded in mystery. He is considered the Great King's right hand man, but when asked by others why, nobody could truly pinpoint the reason.
[ Lancelot ] A handsome man with long white hair tied in a ponytail. He has a scar down one eye, and if you let him, will immediately regale you in his long battle tale about how he lost it while climbing a hill backwards with a one-legged horse. Wears white-polished armour and wields two blades in battle.
[ Percival ] An older man, considered one of Uther Pengdragon's era. He has seen many battles come and go, and bears heavy scars as reminders. Primarily uses a shield in battle, and can often be seen training younger knights.
