Name: Aqio [Ah-qua-o]
Stage: Prentice
Race: pure-blooded water
Gender: Boy
Class: Swordsmen ---> Knight ---> Assassin

3 Base Traits: Calm/Realist/Klutz
Personality: Calm. Aqio will never ever yell, scream or make a loud noise. He has his twin for that. The youth rarely if ever lets his emotions get the best of him, showing a cool facade as he panics underneath. He isn't prone to his brothers excitement, but rather would be the one just watching from the side ready to jump in if he thinks his brother's stepped on a few toes. He's always been calm, ever since he was a youngling. Those who know him would say its due to his hyper twin taking all the energy from the both of them. Outsiders would say its him just watching his brother make a fool out of himself.

Realist. His main weakness is that he never looks to the bright side of things. Aqio sees the reality of things and that at this moment...everything is a nightmare and there is not getting out of it. He's not gloomy exactly, but he's close enough that others would call him "depressing". Aqio ignores them for the most part because he's not going to blind himself to the realities of the world due to others thinking. Aqio can be blunt depending on the situation at hand. Sometimes if he feels tension he falls silent to avoid sparking a sudden outburst of rage. Others he'll miss the tension signal and just outright say it. He's...sorta vocal on the glass half empty views. Again, if he senses the tension he won't say anything. That's not to say he'll shut away his views. He just knows when to come out with it.

Klutz. Aqio is known for his odd moments of total klutziness. Its a trait that the youth is constantly trying to avoid. Though he has these moments, sometimes they work out in his favor. On top of an odd balance he also is a klutz with reading the situation and talking to others at some points in his life.

Description: User Image
Hair is a dark blue with green bangs and a stray green braid on his left side. Styled long to his mid upper arm and fluffy around to the base of his neck. Its so fluffy that when he gets it wet it legit reaches his waist. He has light colored markings covering his torso as a band covers his eyes. The markings are purely for fashion statement and to match his twin while on Aqio. Sadly on Abie...their purely to hide small scars from that one owner. The band across their eyes it out of respect to the Rider Owner as he taught them it reduced glare from sunlight as he raced [taking this from football players]

Clothing: Usually in a cropped top, with flowing sleeves. The top is lined by a thin rope which ties at his back in a bow. A over skirt split up either leg covers his lower body as a wide fishnet sash wraps around his hips. Matching wraps around his feet and hands if possible. He is wearing shorts underneath the over skirt.
Accessories: Small dagger in his sash.

History: Raised by a few owners after being taken from his fishermen parents. He watched his elder twin nearly be crushed under their first owner. It was the worst years of his life. He watched as they were parted from a family they barely can recall now. Then they were thrust into a hostile home where the master seemed to hate everything his brother was. Aqio had always been a silent youth, this sat well with their Owner and he gave the smaller twin unwanted attention at times. The male never touched either youth outright until he started to hit Abie. Then Aqio felt small touches here and there...as the abuse to his brother escalated. The attention his Master gave him increased. Aqio was the one who got someone outside to notice their treatment. He had seen a sympathetic Oban once. Then again, only their next meeting allowed Aqio to get the outsider to notice his brother was being hurt. Before his Master had the chance to something the youth knew to be beyond wrong, they were freed. During all of this, Aqio remained at his brother's side for moral support. When they were taken to the Rider he finally felt he could breathe easy... The youth would recall their last owner as a gruff male with little to say to them or others. While under the male's ownership Aqio befriended a trainee assassin. Though klutzy the youth was told he had a natural movement for being unpredictable. That being his motivation, Aqio watched the dancers that their Rider Master would frequent. Seeing their controlled movements the youth came up with an idea of a dancing assassin.

While his memories from his youngling days are faded, his memories of his elder brother Mano are indeed strong. Their parents are recalled by Aqio as happiness and security. He recalls his mother's hugs the happiness he felt when surrounded by her and by watching his father work he remembers the security in knowing. They can't recall much else due to a natural reason; they were young. Most early memories for most children can't be recalled with clarity. The reason behind them remembering Mano differs between them. For Aqio it was the curiosity his elder brother sparked in him. Mano was their teacher in most things related to being a child. Mano was their first protector against others and their best friend at all times. Mano was the one who got the child to think outside of his norm, therefore Mano will always spark his curiosity on how he could do things differently. Thinking back on it he now calls his brother a idiot for his naive ways. Though his goals in life are sorta dark, the youth is taking it to protect his brothers. If someone was going to hurt them. He'd get them first.

What the twins have yet to discover is that Mano actually went missing before them. Being so young they only really recall that one day their parents were frantic. While they thought Mano was playing a game, the two went to a secert place they went on adventures in. Thinking their elder brother was there...they were dismayed when he didn't show up. As they were about to make their way back, they were also taken. When Mano had finally gotten free of his Master, the reason his family wasn't there was due to them looking for the twins as well as Mano himself.

Note: With Orpheus Solon's permission the family connection is established.

SwordOfTheDarkOnes
Name: Abie [Ah-bee]
Stage: Prentice
Race: pure-blooded water
Gender: Boy
Class: Lancer --> Spearman --> Rider

3 Base Traits:
Excitable/Flirty/Goofball
Personality: Excitable. Abie loves to move. The more activity or people around him the more you hear out of him. Abie loves crowds, loves action. Prone to jumping when he's over the moon excited he laughs if his sudden outbursts frighten others. Though he is this way he isn't without his calm moments. He will sit and watch the clouds or stars with his twin or younglings. This trait was nearly squished by one of the twins former owners back when they were slaves. It was a spirit crushing time in his life that the youth will always remember with a sudden drain of energy.

Flirty. This is oddly natural as he's a fun loving sort who enjoys others happiness. He'll always be touching his twin, either an arm around their shoulders or holding their hand. When dealing with others, this will translate into him seeking some sort of contact. Maybe a handshake to start off the meeting, a few arm slings over the shoulders...closeness to a nigh uncomfortable degree. If told to back off, he'll pout but respect their request. Sometimes. Often he's right back to the contact or a flattering word if he finds that eases them into letting him close.

Goofball. He will always strive to make someone laugh. Usually his twin or a sad youngling. Abie adores being a goof, doing silly things on purpose and making everyone around him enjoy themselves. Abie is also the type to make himself heard. Loud will also apply to his everyday take on life. Abie prefers sound over all else. As long as a youngling made sound they were okay, as long as his family made a noise they were fine. He likes sound and being loud. He dislikes scaring people truly.

Description: User Image
Hair is a dark blue with green bangs and a stray green braid on his right side. Styled short and fluffy around to the base of his neck. Its so fluffy that when he gets it wet it legit reaches his elbows. Dark tribal markings cover his torso, as a band covers his eyes.
Clothing: Usually shirtless, tick rope belt ties a large kimono-like top to him. Usually since he is shirtless the top of the kimono with the sleeves flops over the belt and flaps around his legs. Light colored tights slip around the arch of his feet. Hands are wrapped in fingerless gloves.
Accessories: Snaptrotter teeth necklace?

History: Raised by a few owners after being taken from his fishermen parents. His spirit was nearly crushed by one, but with the support of his twin he made it through. Abie is the elder half of a set of twins, with ambitions of becoming a Rider due to the last and longest owner. The male was a Oban Rider. His battle scarred Janarim usually where the twins would find themselves either napping or generally around. Where the Janarim was...the Rider was. The male taking the two Water youths with a distant sort of attention.

While his memory of his family is fleeting he does recall an Elder Brother who he adores to no end. The memory of the elder always will bring a smile to his face and a bounce to his step. This brother had a simple name: Mano. The youth would rather not recall his Masters he's had, but since being freed he's entertaining the idea of becoming a Rider.

I’m gonna start slow since there’s this one and his twin, and since you’re questing for both at the same time there’s probably going to be a ton of questions and some might seem nitpick-y. We’re going to combine most of the questions in one critique since they’re closely tied, it’ll be easier than answering the same questions again.

I like to start first with the appearance since it is the easiest to wrap my brain around :}
er]
Both of their hair seem fine, their clothes seem fine, but please tell me about their ‘markings’. Are they body paint? Why do they wear them? What’s the significance of them? Or are they just a fashion statement? And if so is it to look cool, or look odd, etc?

They’re connected to Mano, do they remember their parents? What is his and his twin’s relationship to Mano? Why do they remember Mano so clearly but not much else? (you can answer their responses separately since they’ll hopefully have two different views due to their personalities.

Does Aqio being a realist make him blunt as well? Is he vocal about his glass half empty views?

Tell me about the experience with the owner that you keep mentioning as almost crushing Abie? What happened?

This is just to get started :] I may have more questions after.

Appearance wise...the markings are purely for fashion statement and to match his twin while on Aqio. Sadly on Abie...their purely to hide small scars from that one owner. I chatted with Sword about the twins, hammered out a few details here and there, and they look good to me now. ^_^ <3

Just one more question for Aqio. He's klutzy, but he's going to be a dancing assassin? How will the two work out when generally dancers are graceful and totally in control of their bodies?

I was thinking of using his chosen path as a means to actually perfect his klutz factor.
That or give him an odd falling grace sort of thing.
