Dezani was always a quiet child growing up in Isd. His mother died during his birth, and his father was a simple tamer always traveling to the other villages to provide for the two of them. His home life was very lonely with the occasional elder stopping by to make sure he was still eating, and his shyness kept him from speaking to the other children of the village. Growing tired of his cowardly son, his father decided to start sending Dezani out on jobs to assist him in his taming business. This led the boy to travel through the regions, and though he was forced to deal with more business like situations, not being around people his own age furthered his inability to speak with others. The constant pressure to be a "better man" drove the young man away from his father more and more as he was sent to do his father's deals. It began to fester into a hatred for the man who raised him and for the job he did to provide for them. He vowed then to never be like his father, and with that vow he planned to set out to work his own path with the skills he learned. His social skills may still be terrible, but he would find a way to prove to his father that he was okay the way he was.
