■ DECEPTIVERemington is a man of a thousand faces, he adapts quickly to situations and can switch persona's in the blink of an eye. He has an affinity for dodging questions by answering with riddles and delights himself in the confusion of others. He'd rather lie than be earnest, it's a tried and true method that's proven to be much easier than it's honest counterpart. He has an innate talent for secrecy and maintaining the illusion of whichever scheme he has concocted next. ■ POSSESSIVEIn a word, Remington is greedy. He doesn't like to share, and he doesn't believe in the realm that every person and creature is born with unalienable rights. No, his playthings are his to play with, and his alone. He'd see the world burn before allowing another to touch one of his playthings, Hell will be paid. He doesn't much like it when his playthings fight back, either, sometimes it can be fun, but other times, they just break. ■ ARTICULATEA man of embellished words, his long winded sayings are often riddled in oblique mystery. He has a penchant for metaphors and can be quite narrative when left to his vices. He has a poetic soul, and can drown himself in the expanse of literary commentary found in his own thoughts. His charisma has, on more than one occasion, saved his bloody arse from Azkaban's jail cells. ■ DEBONAIRBorn with a taste for the finer things in life, Remington gilds himself in silk and gold and jewels. He has a painstaking ritual each morning to highlight the lost youth of his features and adorns himself in lordly fashions. A smooth talking criminal, Remington can charm the wits off of his unsuspecting peers and has an art of always knowing just what to say. Though that shouldn't be a surprise, considering he's well versed in the mechanics of Legilimency. ■ CALCULATINGRemington is always seeking to improve Remington. He does nothing without an underlying motive, he'll always have a secret agenda that even those closest to him might not know. His ambition is paved by his cunning, he's always in the midst of another plot or scheme, and enthuses himself by creating battle plans of strategies. If he could, he'd never leave anything to chance, stacking the deck in every possibility. ■ HEDONISTICHe could never resist the joys of self-indulgence. Remington's dalliance with pleasure is unrivaled. The man cannot deny his hunger for cravings, and willingly submits himself to nefarious situations in order to sate his thirst. He isn't oblivious so much as reckless when it alludes to the deadliness of his sins, and has found himself eager to risk his life away just for one more taste. He has an addictive personality, and over the years, has learned to reign himself in comparison to his youth. But still, even he can't fight the inner demons and their needs.

CHILDHOODRemington is the middle child of Theodore and Victoria Nott; he is preceded by William, and followed by Rebecca. In his youth, he was neglected by his parents, they favored the heir, his brother, Will, and catered to his sister's every whim. Stuck in the middle, Remington was only ever acknowledged when misbehaving and so, he became very good at being bad. Many of the memories from his early years are suppressed, except those concerning his grandmother, Evangeline. She loved him dearly, coddled and spoiled him most. Though one unforgettable moment was when an untrained eagle owl had swooped him in its grasp, mistaking him for its babies' next meal. It's talons pierced through the skin until he bled. In the end, it was William who had saved him. Though Remington would never forget that the only reason he was outside was because of his dear, older brother.
SCHOOL YEARS
FIRST YEARRemington earned a nasty reputation as a blood supremacist, and either earned enemies or like minded acquaintances because of it. He nearly exploded a potion, and skipped most of his history lessons. SECOND YEARRadically unimportant, he either crowded the dungeons with his fellow serpents or was practicing his spells in the dueling club. THIRD YEARHe tried out for the quidditch team; his brother made it, he did not. He began to verse himself in the literature of cursebreaking, and sought out the professor for private lessons in his spare time. FOURTH YEARHe struggled with his magic, battled to control it, to harness it, and utilize it in it's best way. Often, it was too weak or too strong, and too easily influenced by his emotions. He practiced hard to change that. FIFTH YEARRemington finally met Krina Rosier, a third year, and instantly became infatuated with her. Though at the time, she was already being courted by Alfons Flint, a seventh year, his older brother's best friend, Remington still made his intentions known and would sneak out after hours to weave in the web of lies Krina had made for them. Focus on his OWL's paled in comparison to the focus he placed on Krina. SIXTH YEARGrowing resentful that Krina would not choose, and if she did, she seemed to only choose Alfons just to see that fire rile up in him. Remington thought to make her jealous by using another girl. It backfired. SEVENTH YEARDespite the fact that Krina would soon become Alfons' betrothed, he still clung to her being and dreamt of restless nights with her. His brother warned him against it, said it would be dangerous, said it would only break his heart. He didn't listen.
POST GRADUATIONAfter Hogwarts, Remington, through the use of the Nott Vault, traveled around the world to hone his cursebreaking skills, visiting Egypt, Brazil, Mexico, Greece, Russia, and China. During that time away, his brother married Guiseley Ray Flint (a distant extension of the Flint house), and of course, Alfons Flint married Krina Rosier. When he returned, he bought The Spiny Serpent and began to sell the wares he collected (and perhaps stole) on his voyages overseas, as well as detailing the spell's he picked up along the way. (He hopes to publish his work soon.)
He earned enemies everywhere; through bedding their wives or robbing them blind, Remington burnt down every bridge he ever crossed. It was his curse. His firstborn child, Oberon, was murdered, along with his grandmother, Evangeline, who promised to keep the baby in hiding. He's fathered children, the amount he can only guess at, during his grieving years after. By coincidence, he met up with Marta Nettlepot, an old flame from years long past, and within months. She was murdered, too. He became a prime suspect, but when there wasn't enough hard evidence, charges were dropped. While she was still alive, however, she confessed her darkest secret. Her daughter, Hildegard Nettlepot, was in fact Remington's daughter. It was ironic, because he had only used her to get to her impressionably reckless sister, Cora. (She had a son, before she died. Cora never named a father and so, Chase Balford inherited her family name. Though he too, was Remington's.)
Because of Marta's death, Remington was convinced that whomever had murdered his son and grandmother, had also targeted the Nettlepot's, and would soon reach the necks of his children. So, he took up a teaching post at Hogwarts as the Cursebreaking professor to get closer to the children. Remington never knew how Marcus Nettlepot had discovered the truth, whether through the mouth of babes, or the eerily evasive, Sillia Rosier, whom had also taken post as a professor during his years teaching as well. Yet somehow, she always managed to stay one step of ahead of him, and he never did get a chance to confront her. During this time, he became involved with several different women: Abigail Warstorm, Charlize Murdoch, and Dahlia Edgeworth, to only name a few.
Abigail was a nasty hurricane in her own right; demented and possessive. It suited him and his pride, for a time, but when she beckoned news of a child (yet another on a growing list), Remington tucked her away in the family estate. His brother was forced to clean up the mess. Remington still can't decide if it worked in the way that he'd hoped or not. But Abigail made up her mind and never looked back. To this day, he's never made an effort to see if she simply ran or had fell victim to another unfortunate circumstance. But, he was blessed--if that's the word-- with Cassandra Sophie Nott-Warstorm. (It didn't take long for him to file the proper paperwork for a name change, and drop every shred of evidence of that vindictive blonde.)
Years later, after Alfons had lost himself to rumors of death and suicide, he had arrived at his doorstep one truculent night and divulged the truth. One of his old captivating students, Phinelia von Ichval, was, in all reality, a Flint. Alfons and Krina had a child, a girl, and the spiteful woman wanted her dead. And for what? Being born? It was incredulous. But it didn't matter, in truth. Not when his close nemesis, closer than any friend, had just admitted to murdering one of the only women that he might have loved. He had to understand though, and he did, he might have done the same, if it was his only child. (Might, because even Remington can't predict himself around her.) He buried Krina's body on his private island off the northern inlet of Lough Erne and visits her resting site at least once a week with a fresh bouquet of red roses.
He was comforted, at least, with his latest romantic interest, Dahlia Vivienne Edgeworth, the wife of, of course, Wesley Edgeworth, one of Hogwarts School Governors'. It was a scandalous, one night stand that had flourished under the pressures of the outside world. It was a poisonous duo, near worse than Krina, if possible, addicting and deadly. The dangers only sharpened when his plaything finally broke. He's still unsure why; if it'd been him or Wesley--or both? She snapped one day, attacked the house elf, and then her husband. First a disgrace, then exiled, she was a wanted criminal by the authorities for her crimes. The only reasonable option was to kill her, metaphorically speaking of course. A dead body, already eerily similar to herself was charmed just right, several officials paid off, and she was dead only by name. Reinvented as Callidora Juliette Tempest; a less than willing compromise made by the Tempest family to keep one of their own dirty little secrets well hidden. He left her to her vices for now, and was forced to divert his attention to an inside attack.
He was robbed several years prior, but never really knew by who. It didn't take long for the pieces to fall into place after his dear brother decided to pay him a visit and explained his son's, Remington's nephew, sudden odd behavior. It wasn't so sudden, in all reality. It seemed the boy had never laid the memory of his mother to rest, he was convinced her death was something nefarious, and he wasn't wrong. How he came to find out, Remington could never deduce. Though he has his bets it's through the network of Xilan, while he was still around. The few events concerning his nephew, Tay, are a blur in his mind.
At one point, he can distinctly remember the freezing bite in his fingertips, and the cracks in blue, parched lips. He remembered Krina's wand, in his hands, being broken under the boot heel of his nephew. The sensation of breath escaping his ironclad lung, struggling to keep, as his memories were sucked away one by one. Tay had all the proof he needed. If he could sift through the trickery and deceit of an entire counrty to find it. All he needed was an address. Remington was sure to be one step ahead when he did.
Of course his mother was alive, it was the only sane thing to do. She was held captive in Russia; his tie of connections there is at its strongest, like the center ring of a spiders' web. After Guiseley's 'misguided' ways, it was the best course of action, after covering up her supposed 'death', of course. If his nephew was so intent to hurt him to find out the truth, Remington was sure to payback in kind. It hadn't meant to happen quite the way it did, but Guiseley left him with no choice. She died that night in her son's arms, and Remington hadn't seen him for weeks until he arrived at the family estate. His brother and father had spent their entire lives lying to the damn boy, he had to wonder if they had started to believe it after so long. In the end, they sided with him, but it came with a price. Tay was fed the same lie, and Remington and Sophie, were barred from ever returning on the grounds again. Sophie resented it for him, but perhaps it was best to steal her from the cruel irony of the life she could never truly lead.
Disowned in all but name, had left him considerably poorer, and several vaults fewer, than he ever cared to admit. But, if he's learned one thing, it was to know how to play with the cards he'd been dealt. A few fitting arrangements, and Callidora's infamous fury, would lead him to one of the biggest cons of his life: the Tempest vault and it's estate. It hadn't been easy, however, to convince Callidora that it was the right thing to do, that it was what she had always wanted. Even if it took several doses of a fertility potion stolen from the desk of Richard Drage (thank you, and thank you Luthiel,) to be able to even a conceive a child. As of 23rd February, 2028, Remington and Callidora officially became man and wife, and, several arduous months later on the eighteenth of May, Edric, was born. Remington still can't tell if Callidora has taken a liking to the child or not, but he's been sure to keep his daughter, Sophie, safely tucked away in boarding school while all of the attention is focused on the boy to avoid as much friction as possible.
On the summer of 2033, Edric had only just turned five years old when he had been kidnapped from his home. Remington went on a desperate search to try and find any clues leading to the whereabouts of his son. His network of sordid contacts knew little, and anything they did know would leave Remington chasing ghosts. After a year or so, he became less hopeful that he would ever see Edric. His mental and emotional well being suffered. He resorted to locking himself in the basement all day and all night long, drinking himself into a stupor. During the winter of 2035, Remington attempted suicide. He was found by one of house elves with just enough time to cut down the rope from his neck and transport him to St. Mungo's hospital where he's been kept ever since. Callidora now has full control of the manor, its assets, and all banking accounts. And all she's done since then is spend his money.
Realizing his hospice care had become a permanent affair, Theodore had Remington pulled from St. Mungo's hospital and transferred him to the private island on Lough Erne where he will have around the clock private care from a small team of healers.

VAIN xxx»» Callidora's favorite person is her. She is incredibly superficial, and refuses to be seen looking anything less than her best, even if the situation had hand is meant to paint her in a bad light. In fact, looking good while she's misbehaving serves her purposes just fine; it makes it more likely that she'll be able to succeed in her goals.
CONDESCENDING xxx»» Raised in an incredibly old-fashioned pureblood family, Dahlia Wynters was quick to pick up the attitude of her parents when dealing with other people. Her immediate response when approached is to look down her nose at a person, and not to offer them anything until they prove they are her equal, in blood and wealth. She has no time for anyone who does not fit these criteria.
ARROGANT xxx»» At this point, all she really has left is her ego, and in spite of her fears, she has that in spades. In spite of everything that's happened to her, she can't help but feel as though the universe has done her a great injustice, because she deserves better. For that matter, she's gone through a lot, at least to her mind. Obviously she has earned the right to think highly of herself. She might not have been on top exactly, but she's not dead or insane (at least, she doesn't think she is), so she's doing damn good.
SELFISH xxx»» One thing that has never changed about her is that she has always been exceptionally selfish; she never saw anyone putting her first, so she decided that she would always do so. It bothers her on a level she doesn't care to admit that no one in her life seems to consider her important, but she makes up for it by always considering herself before anyone else.
APATHETIC xxx»» At this point, quite frankly, Calli doesn't care about much. Or, she doesn't care about anything immaterial, anyway. Two useless spouses, two disappointing sons, she's beyond the point of devoting any attention or effort to any sort of family life. Remington's descent into desperation and madness annoyed her more than anything, and at this point she's so far beyond caring that when she was informed of his attempt on his own life, she merely shrugged it off. She'd been expecting it any day, and was more bothered that he hadn't succeeded than the fact that he'd attempted things, since it would've made things easier on her... And on him, she supposes, seeing as he'd be dead. Not that it matters to her.
UNHINGED xxx»» To say that Calli is right in the head would be to ignore a few glaringly obvious signs of pending madness. She's not quite crazy, not yet anyway, but she's well on her way there. At this point, her refusal to care enough about anything enough for an emotional response is the only thing saving her. She's developed a liking for destruction, which started off with her destroying her husband's things in a fit of rage, and evolved to burning down run down homes she thought no one would miss... Of course, she never really checked to see if there was anyone inside before she set the fire. Of course, she thinks that she's the only sane person left! ... Which only further underscores how nuts she is.

CHILDHOOD
xxx»» he original Callidora Tempest was the second born child of the Tempest family, and was always a great disappointment to her family. She seemed to lack the ability to carry herself with any sort of grace, and never showed evidence of magic. When she turned eleven and no Hogwarts letter arrived, her parents finally admitted that the worst was true; she was a squib. Edgar, a cruel man who cared little for the stain on his family name, arranged to get rid of her, in the most permanent sense. The family fabricated a story that she was sent away to France, and never spoke of her again. The woman now known as Callidora Tempest, the current heir to the family fortune, is a fake; she was born Dahlia Wynters, daughter to a noble pureblood family. She was raised to understand her place within the household as a woman as per her father's beliefs, something that was often challenged by her sister Selena. But, Dahlia saw how her parents viewed Selena, and distanced herself from her sister, believing she would do nothing but bring her down.
SCHOOL YEARS
xxx»» Dahlia was sorted into Slytherin once she arrived at Hogwarts, and proved that, when she applied herself, she was a good student. She didn't focus overmuch on her studies, but still managed high marks in most of her classes. Those were she did poorly were generally ones she believed were beneath her, such as Herbology and Potions. But, her true goal throughout school was to find a husband, from a family worthy of her own. She met Wesley Edgeworth, who was a year ahead of her, in her third year, and decided that he suited her well enough. It took her two years to secure him, but in sixth year, the marriage was arranged.
ADULTHOOD
xxx»» Immediately after they were wed, Dahlia and Wesley began attempting to have a child, but their efforts seemed in vain; it took her ten years to conceive an heir. The pregnancy was hard on her, and nearly killed her. For her trouble, she was cursed with a son, one who would prove a disappointment for most of his life. Dahlia has never understood why he seems to have a preference for the company of halfbloods; first a young girl in his childhood, and then one in his own year at school once he got to Hogwarts. His friendship with the second girl developed into a romantic relationship, which, among other things, caused a wedge between her and her husband when Wesley decided to accept their sons defection. She was driven by her shame and a desire for revenge into the arms of one Remington Nott. Dahlia attempted to use her affair to drag her husband's name through the mud, Wesley seemed more amused at it than anything else. Eventually, Dahlia snapped, and devised an ill though out plan to regain control of her life. She attempted to murder their House-Elf Brownie, and to take control of her husband's mind, but he broke her control and drove her from the house.
xxx»» Desperate, she went to Remington for help. He gave her a place to stay while he arranged a new identity for her, that of Callidora Tempest. The pair fought, leading to her attempting to flee, but she went through with his plan all the same, faking her own death and assuming her new life. Months later, she encountered Remington again, and they resumed their affair, which generally consists of them fighting. However, Callidora (the name she has now come to prefer over her own) discovered that Remington had a plan in mind for her; somehow, he was able to get her pregnant, and intends to marry her. After the scandal of the Tempest family's heir killing their other biological child, they were left with no choice but to name her heir.
xxx»» Shortly thereafter, she discovered that Remington had successfully managed to impregnate her. He insisted it was to ensure their future, that he'd done it so that they could be together in spite of the Tempests' meddling, but she remained suspicious. In any case, the opinions of the Tempests were shortly no longer a concern; discovery of her pregnancy led to an altercation with the pair, and a misplaced shove resulted in Edgar and his wife falling to their deaths. Shortly after, Remington and Callidora were wed (nothing of note, a simple signing of the necessary documents) and their child born.
xxx»» As she predicted, the strain of carrying a child almost killed her, even with her husband's help. She kept to the home for a long time to recover, and ended up being saddled with the child she had not wanted, while her husband essentially abandoned her to continue his life as if nothing had happened to change it. She resented him immensely for leaving her stuck with the brat, considering he'd been so obsessed with having an heir he'd nearly killed her for one. Their relationship, never particularly solid, struggled under the new weight.
xxx»» Typically, finding out your child has been kidnapped is cause for panic. And panic Remington did, and soon the panic developed into desperation, which developed into depression, which developed into suicidal thoughts. Calli, meanwhile, hadn't wanted the boy to begin with, and had greatly resented him for surviving the pregnancy, and Remington for wanting him. Still, she wasn't stupid enough to be glad he was gone, at least not at first. Remington's response was a thorn in her side, his constant misery over the boy's disappearance but apparent lack of ability to do anything about it wearing her down until she thought she'd snap and kill the man. Instead, she chose to ignore him, going about her business and reveling in the free time she suddenly had. Where before she'd stopped taking lovers out of a twisted sort of respect and loyalty to her husband, she saw no reason to continue to deprive herself just because he was too absorbed in himself and his son to care about his wife. She avoided the basement floors where he dwelled, and took advantage of his absence to the fullest extent.
xxx»» It would've been foolish to expect her to be upset at her husband's attempt on his own life. By the time he tried to hang himself, she was more than done with him, after all, and saw his continued existence as something that was holding her back. She hadn't really wanted him dead, since that would've required thinking about him, which she refused point blank to do. But, she wasn't all that disturbed by the news that he'd actually tried to off himself. She'd sort of been expecting it, to be honest, in those vague moments when she was reminded of him and bothered to wonder what he was up to. Truth be told, she'd rather thought that one day she'd become aware of some horrid stench, and in her search for the source, find his decaying body, still sitting in his chair with a bottle in hand. It wouldn't have quite happened that way, since he'd tried to hang himself and all, but that more or less would've been the result if not for the House-Elves finding him. She couldn't decide if she was grateful for that or not, but opted for not eventually just because of how much she hates House-Elves. Remington was sent to St. Mungo's, supposedly to recover, but the chances of recovery are almost nonexistent as far as Calli can tell. That suits her just fine, as it means she has full control of everything, and no one to harass her about how she uses it. She knows the money will run out eventually, but can't seem to make herself care.

■ JEALOUSSophie lived a life of never being good enough, in the end, it's left her with a bitter resentment and an unhealthy amount of avarice and greed hardwired into her brain. She has a disdain for wizarding kind, and hasn't taken too kindly to being ostracized by her family because of her lack of magical ability. Conversely, she despises muggles, mostly for their blissful ignorance and ease of life, and how it all just seems so perfect for them. She usually exhibits a passive aggressive attitude towards unsuspecting victims, either because of the pretty color of their hair, or their happy-go-lucky attitude. ■ STUBBORNSophie won't take no for an answer, and has an impossible time obeying orders that don't quite seem justified. She'll go out of her way to prove a point, even if it means starving herself or running away from home. She doesn't like to try anything new in front of people because she doesn't want to admit that she can't do something on her own (she obviously knows how ridiculous that sounds and has to remind herself of that every time.) She won't willingly ask for help if she has the choice, and even if it kills her, she won't admit she's wrong. She'd rather lie than do that. ■ RECKLESSSophie isn't the brightest crayon in the box, she isn't inclined to think of the consequences first, and instead, chooses to dive right in. She feels invincible in her own mind, and can't be told otherwise. She has a thirst for adventure that typically isn't "ideal" for a young squib her age. She won't back down from a challenge, and in turn, loves to provoke those deemed an authority figure. She gains a twisted sense of satisfaction from shocking people, and putting them out of their comfort zone in any way she can see fit. ■ EXTROVERTNaturally charismatic, Sophie thrives in social situations. Being in the company of others' energizes her, and as much as she would love to draw or daydream all day, being alone for too long will sour her mood and leave her restless. The ability to maintain small talk is one she has honed well over the years, although, her more baser instincts can get in the way of what she knows she 'ought' to say, versus what she 'does' say. In fact, the best way to deal with a problem, for her, relies solely on communication; meditative reflection alone just isn't enough. Unfortunately, being brought up in a household where bottling up those feelings as the only option has, in more ways than one, negatively affected her social skills. ■ IMAGINATIVEA large percentage of her free time is spent within the realm of her make-believe mind. She fancies the thought of dragons and merpeople, and will never forgive the world for excluding her from it. She can detail fanciful worlds and far away lands, has an ease of imagining faces to paint or sketch, and can always devise a sudden twist to make a seemingly boring part of her life just a bit more tolerable. She daydreams of a world ruled under her thumb, and when she's bored enough, pretends to play the part of a malevolent queen--much to the chagrin of her classmates who fail to understand why she's acting in such a pompous way. ■ DRAMATICPassionate and expressive of her emotions, she's a ball of electrified energy waiting to be charged into something new and beautiful. She loves to act, often losing herself in her role and utilizing personal feelings when there should be none. She's been very much taught to hold and bite her tongue, to smile and curtsy and seem dainty, but it was only a small role in the play of her life. She has begun to perfect the grace of innocence and the sinister of evil like the two sides of a coin only needing to be flipped.

CHILDHOODSophie's timing could not have been worse. Her mother, Abigail, already several months along, had sought out Remington and divulged the unadulterated truth that she was pregnant, and it could only be his. Unfortunately, he had to make arrangements to leave the mother at the Nott Castle in Wales while he attended to the threatened safety of his b*****d born children (whom Sophie still isn't aware they exist), and held office as Hogwarts Cursebreaking professor for several years to do so. Sophie grew up on the estate with her mother and uncle, and became fast friends with the familial bullmastiff, Old Knight. Just before Sophie's third birthday, Abigail disappeared from the castle one morning and never returned. Remington, through other driving outside forces, had left his post at Hogwarts to care fully for Sophie, changing her surname to scrub away the memory of her mother. Despite her insistence, Remington never sought out the mother, never bothered for evidence of a death or disappearance. He refused.
Sophie, then, was raised in the unbalance of Remington's flat held above his shop, The Spiny Serpent. Women traipsed in and out of there often, sometimes, more than once in an evening. Sophie was never too bothered by it, Remington made sure to keep them separated. It wouldn't do for his daughter to decide to attach herself, knowing, it would never last. It ended with Dahlia, whom Sophie came to spite. She revolved in and out that door, stealing her father's attention more and more with each passing night. Until she died. Sophie never understood her father's lack in remorse. Honestly, she hoped she'd find him crying, she hoped to remind him just how important she ought to mean to him. But then... there was Callidora. She struck an unusual nerve with Sophie, and reminded her of Dahlia more than Dahlia herself could. More than once, she heard her father reference Callidora as Dahlia, and one day, it all clicked. She hated her then, infinitely more than she'd ever had before. And that wrathful jealousy blossomed each day into something wicked. Maybe one day, she'll turn her in...
SCHOOL YEARS
QUEEN'S PREPSophie was four years old when she was enrolled into Queen's College Prep School. She made faster enemies than friends. Her usual routine was to fall asleep in class, bicker with the administration, and express her indifference to her classmates. She did, however, manage to make on friend there, Cathaline League. Sophie was still hopeful that her magic might arise in class, and truth be told, she often solicited herself to dangerous situations hoping that it might instigate her magic. It never did. QUEEN'S COLLEGEWhen, at the age of eleven, she did not receive an owl confirming her place at Hogwarts, she cried herself to sleep for weeks. Shortly after, she was enrolled into Queens College London to continue her muggle education. She did so begrudgingly, but came to enjoy her time at campus, since it meant not having to be at home with them. She began art classes, even enrolled in an art club, and joined the theatre program. Sophie found a release in acting that she never knew she so desperately needed. MARYMOUNT INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL LONDONNow at the age of thirteen and in the face of her father's new marriage, wife, and son; she was suddenly shipped away to Marymount, a boarding school to tuck her out of sight throughout the school year. A part of her hates it, knowing why she's there to begin with, but another part of her is glad to be rid of Remington and Callidora, and stupid, perfect, Edric. At least the campus is bigger, and the school is involved with the International Schools Theatre Association (ISTA), hosting festivals and events throughout the school year. During her final year of schooling, she was nearly arranged to marry Brandon Rhodes.
POST GRADUATIONDuring the following summer of 2032, shortly after her graduation, an incident occured at the manor that broke the arrangement between the Rhodes family. Sophie skipped her graduation ceremony to focus recovering from nearly being ripped to pieces by the inferi that had guarded the Rhodes Manor and Estate. Several weeks later, Avalon arrives with the announcement that she's pregnant. And Sophie's the new father! Ava's little girl, Willow, was only a few months old when her first sign of magic surged. The thunderstorm outside scared her from her sleep and then a blast of magic cycloned the beach house. One of Remington's antique knives pummeled her in the gut, and it's dark and cursed magic couldn't be reversed. She was dying, and Avalon did the only thing she could to save her--even if it meant sacrificing herself. With the help of a vampire named Pestilence, Sophie was saved, reborn as a fledgling and then the next day, Avalon was bitten and changed too.
AFTER DEATHFor months, Sophie, Ava, and Willow were safe in their maker's manor in Sussex. There, they slowly began to learn to control their powers, learned to hunt, feed, and were taught the tenets of their clan, as well as the rules of the Shadowsong Council. Despite how hard it was not to touch Willow, the house-elves and Pestilence cared for her well. Eventually, Ava discovered her vampiric power: magnetisim. Sophie's a little jealous hers hasn't manifested yet.
Over the years, Sophie has been altering Pesti's views on vampire and wizardingkind. He valued the worth of pureblood too much, Sophie tried to show him a different way. A truthful way. A way that explains that vampires are different from wizards, will always be different from wizards, and they should learn to embrace that.

■ CONFLICTED The devil and angel like to call his shoulders home; there's always one part of him that will want to do the opposite of whatever he's done. Choosing the good path leads envy to the bad. The bad path brings heavy guilt from the good. He had been so sure of himself, once, but now every choice is filled with doubt. ■ HYPERSENSITIVEThe trauma of losing a family, twice, had an effect on Edric. He doesn't like to be reminded that his brothers aren't his brothers anymore. Reminders of his past life are emotional for him, good or bad. He reacts harshly, quickly, and with little regard for consequences. He's emotionally uneasy and not well equipped or mature enough to handle it. ■ PLAYFUL Despite everything, maybe even because of everything, he tries to have fun in the rare moments when he can. If he can filch his uncle's broom for an unsupervised flight, he will, or throw himself into games as an escape from reality. ■ CAUTIOUS It's not that he believes people are bad, or that they're all liars, but he does wonder who, of them all, might hurt him. He's guarded and jumpy. Nor very willing to put himself in harms way. Empty parking lots comes with horror music, and losing the sight of a guardian unleashes bullets of sweat. He's paranoid something will happen to him again. ■ IMAGINATIVE Throughout it all, whether as Edric or Tommy or Edric again, his sense of imagination and wonder never wavered. He spends his nights daydreaming of impossibilities, and wastes his free time world-building fantasies instead of studying. He's also easily distracted, impulsive, and has a short attention span. ■ STUBBORNEdric wants to feel like he has some control in his life, even if that control simply means saying "no." He doesn't like to be pushed if he's not ready. He doesn't change his mind easily.

CHILDHOODHe was never expected to survive through the pregnancy or birth; in fact, he was never expected at all. Edric was a surprise to his mother, and for a while, only wishful thinking from his father. He arrived into the world several weeks early due to arising complications which had required an induced labor. The baby boy was underweight and had to be kept for observation for nearly a week before being released home. He grew slowly and ate little at first, but over time, quickly flourished, drinking more and more with each feeding and growing larger with each passing week.
His father is the disowned-in-all-but-name, Remington Nott, and his mother is the supposedly deceased, Dahlia Vivian Edgeworth. Her death was quickly ruled as a suicide, but in all reality, she fell into hiding under the guise and name, Callidora Juliette Tempest. With the recent deaths of his proclaimed "grandparents", Edgar and Lenore Tempest, he was born to one day inherit the vaults and lands of the Tempest family and estate. His real familial roots extend into the Wynters and Flint family line, speckled with esteemed names like Burke, Edgeworth, and Frost, along with many more.
On the summer of 2033, Edric had just turned five years old when he had been kidnapped from his home by William Nott the Third and Morgan Linwood. After having his memory altered, Edric then became Thomas McGregor, and was dropped off in a muggle home to live the rest of his life as a muggleborn.
Growing up wasn't always easy in the McGregor household. His 'parents' were hasty, impatient and quick to judge. His siblings raised him, Joi and Wallis. Until Wallis was nearly kicked out of the house for being a freak, like Leon was. Joi exploded, and they moved out of their parents and lived with Michael, their other brother, until they could find a place to call their own. Life seemed to calm down until a murderous psycho attacked their home in the summer of 2036. Nobody really knew why, Tommy barely knew what happened. Everyone avoided the truth. Someone intervened though, and whoever attacked them had gotten caught, Joi assured them.
At the age of ten, Tommy's life would turn upside down (again.) As far as he knew, his long lost family had tracked him down. Through a miraculous turn of events, they were able to restore his memory and Uncle Will took him in for the meantime. Suddenly, he was being called "Edric" again, and all those old memories were rushing back in little spurts, triggered just as easily by the smell of his old blanket or the touch of a chipped, familiar doorway. He missed his muggleborn family and found it hard to trust his real family; he was so young when he had been taken away. His father, Remington, was 'gone', and had around-the-clock private care. Remington was in a coma, somewhat, or that's what his uncle and grandfather said. His mother, Callidora, visited often and tried to piece him back together into something manageable and prize-worthy. She entertained the idea of bringing her child home but decided it would best for the both of them if he simply stayed at the Nott Castle during his recovery. Edric tried, he didn't want to disappoint all of these people, but it hardly mattered, he was confused, distant, and easily irritable. His mood tended to swing rapidly and could be easily provoked from the slightest trigger. As a result, he was held back from starting his first year to stay home and better learn to readjust with life. When the following year rolled around he was enrolled to Hogwarts to begin his first year properly.
SCHOOL YEARS
FIRST YEAR [2040-41] It took a bit of time but he eased into school life comfortably. Made easier by having Wallis around. He stuck close to his "family" for the most part. Unfortunately, he got in a fight with his mum during the Winter Holidays. Part of him regrets it ever happening, but another part of him was glad to have everything out in the open. ___EXTRA CURRICULARS Joined the Hogwarts Drama Club. SECOND YEAR [2041-42] Edric tread on thin ice throughout the year. He was living with his mother again, and he wasn't sure if he preferred it that way or not. He was careful to not do anything that would get a letter sent home and displease her. Which wasn't hard, since he was fighting off a flu for half the year. He reluctantly joined the Drama Club again, this time, adamant to stay on the production side of the stage. ___EXTRACURRICULARS Drama Club THIRD YEAR [2042-43]One day during the summer before Third Year, he decided to run away. Not for very long or very far, but when he returned home, his mother was gone and had not returned since. Those few weeks passed in a blur as he pondered on her disappearance and had to call himself a taxi to catch the Hogwarts Express. The school year started out rocky, he was depressed through the holidays when he never received an owl back from his mum about coming home for Christmas. An auror came to see him during the break to explain that his mother was dead, he was an orphan, and he had a choice to make: who would he live with? The McGregors won out in a heartbeat. Edric never quite perked up until he was finally back at his old home with the McGregors. ___EXTRACURRICULARS N/A FOURTH YEAR [2043-44] --- ___EXTRACURRICULARS --- FIFTH YEAR [2044-45] --- ___EXTRACURRICULARS --- SIXTH YEAR [2045-46] --- ___EXTRACURRICULARS --- SEVENTH YEAR [2046-47] --- ___EXTRACURRICULARS ---
