First and foremost, rest assured that it isn't going anywhere; I'm not going to abandon it even when the day comes that I absolutely have no more time to run it as much as I used to. xd
I just want to bring up a question that was once posed a long time ago. I ask for the same reason I had back then—that I think it might breathe a little life into this guild again.
Would it be best to transition this guild from being Symphonia-centric to being generally "Tales of..."-centric?
The general consensus I got back then was pretty much, "we came for Symphonia, so we would like it to stay the main focus of the guild" which is why it hasn't changed to this day. Now, this was years ago, so I'm wondering if people still feel the same way. I've started to feel that maybe Symphonia has become an old and exhausted topic—even with the remake on the way, even if we still love it.
And just out of curiosity...what would you say would get you a little more active? What's made you hesitant of striking up chatter around here? What would make you relaxed enough to post freely? Is there something you've wanted to see around here?
I know I've asked such things before and that the common response was "shyness" but I'm also wondering if the mood's changed, if even by just a bit by now. surprised

I actually wouldn't mind if it became a general Tales of guild instead of just Symphonia. I agree that Symphonia is a bit exhausted, even though it's still fun to discuss at certain times. 3nodding Was I supposed to post here? I didn't see anything that said otherwise. sweatdrop

I don't mind if this guild was more Tales of than just Symphonia. :3 I'm not exactly picky on what happens. lol.
As far as the lack of activity goes, I've seen this sort of thing in basically all the guilds I've joined. Start off with a large number of members, then as time goes by, the activity grows thin. Aside from the 'shyness', could be that people are either more busy with life or they maybe forgot. Or perhaps the possibility of peeps having left Gaia altogether.

Sirea's right about the lack of activity thing. I've also seen this happen.
As for the general Tales-of bit, it would be a bit strange, but I think that it would ultimately be a name-only change. We discuss other games anyway; it's just that Symphonia is our common one.
EDIT: Basically, we wouldn't be abandoning Symphonia.

It's not mandatory either, but every little bit helps me decide what to do. 3nodding It would be nice to hear from more people. I usually get a chorus of "it's up to you, Captain" but I feel the need to ask because well...such a change affects everyone in the guild. I want to make sure most of us are on the same page here before I do things, lest I get a "hey I didn't want this" later. sweatdrop

I don't know if changing the focus would make that much of a difference or not, because in the end as posted above, we end up discussing more Tales games than just Symphonia, anyway.
But I'm okay with the name change if you think it'll help. What's that saying... "A rose by any other name..." LOL
I try to be as active as I can be, but I'm busy in real life. I would imagine it is true for some other people as well. I haven't even had time to play my online MMO as much, which is super depressing for me.
Anyway, that being said, no matter what, I will still post. I would post in the RP's but I simply can't be on enough to be able to keep up in an RP.
I would like to maybe help eventually by running a guild contest or something. I think it might be fun. :3
It is depressing to think that there are no more contests. I wasn't always able to participate in them, but I did participate when I could.

I'm up for making the guild an all Tales of Guild. It wouldn't be like we're abandoning Symphonia or anything.
Whatever is decided I hope we can get more activity in the guild. whee

I'm fine with it becoming a general Tales of Guild, much for the same reasons as the others. I've just only played Symphonia, though I've wanted to play some of the others for quite some time. Alas I have no Playstation, PS2, or PS3.

I originally found and joined this guild because it was for Symphonia. That being said, however, I love ALL the Tales games and would have joined even if it was a general Tales of guild. I'm not bothered by the idea of change at all, so it's all good to me.

Since I don't feel like making a new thread, I'm declaring a cutoff of the previous topic starting here. This new subject I'd like to discuss is still regarding the state of the guild anyway. 
Onward now. My question is:
Is a cleanup in order?
I mean, a clean sweep of the main forum. 99% of these threads haven't moved in ages, and I feel like clearing it all out and making fresh new threads for each game in the Tales series could rouse some activity. More like, one for each game that got localized and a collective thread for the games that never/haven't got translations yet.
I've also considered just...cleaning it out and allowing you guys to make the threads at your own leisure, but the one time I actually did that (leaving only threads that were made within the same year), I recall someone saying that seeing such a barren forum was uninviting. sweatdrop
Your thoughts and opinions?
