Hi! I hope you're not too overwhelmed by the guild so far. It really isn't that bad. I promise! And the bar right above here with all those funny words on it will help you navigate through the entire guild. It has links to all of the necessary information you need to understand the roleplay. It should even be helpful when quick referencing things. Below are the guild rules. Please read through them even though they're the usual.
After you've done that, I suggest heading over to the Plot. Then you should check out About The Game. After that, you're just about there! Head over to Character Creation and make your character. =3 If you have any questions, there is a help thread where you can post whatever questions you have. We will answer them no matter how silly they might seem to you. :3 You can also pm me, but you might get a faster response in the help thread since anyone can answer your question. smile

If you are a snob, then I suggest you click your back button (or backspace) now. This is not the roleplay for you. I appreciate polite and civil discussions about ideas and anything really. I am a very nice person. But it seems that some people I have run into on here are not. Don't try to cover up an insult with pet names, or false apologies. If you have to apologize for what you wrote, chances are, you might be being an a*****e. Find another way to put what you are saying. I will pick up on that tone if you don't and you will be booted. Also, don't be mean to others. Debate ideas but not people. I don't tolerate disrespect to anyone here. No exceptions. I am confident that any problems that may arise can be handled in a civil and mannerly way.

Please make a posting layout! These layouts should include your character's name, location, team (or affiliation), and picture. No fonts bigger than 12 for main text please! Coding is different in guilds than it is in forums, so I have a forum in the guild set up specifically for testing coding. Refer to the first post of this thread for a link. You can make your own thread and test whatever nonsense you like. :3

I am not going to be accepting anime. Period. I'm sorry but those huge eyes and pointy chins... ewwww. I will however accept fantasy pictures. These should be fairly to highly detailed. I will not be accepting real pictures just to keep things uniform.

The 'Creating Your Character' thread under the profile forum has more detailed information about character submission. So in short, don't pm me profiles. I'm going to be getting too many to go through myself, so I have a few people reading over and accepting them in the profile forum. Once you have been accepted by a crew member, post your profile in the profile thread. =3

I would like your posts to have substance to them. Give other players something to work with. Let's shoot for at least two paragraphs per post. And 200 words minimum for each post. I realize that posts will get short when the action begins, and this will be the exception. Violence is encouraged as well as romance. Just don't turn my fantastic action-y roleplay into a romance. In other words, don't expect to find a boy/girl toy in the roleplay.

Characters may die. Especially if they get into a situation with a predator that they can't get themselves out. If it's in character for the predator to kill the player, then so be it, so be careful and have a backup character! Though it says in the game rules that killing is not allowed, keep in mind that this is not a roleplay rule. Merely a plot thing. If a player kills another player and it's in character, then so be it. Keep in mind that in the game there are repercussions for killing... if caught. Your character may also be killed for inactivity. These characters are, most of the time, irrecoverable.

I want to keep the teams as even as I can so you might not be able to get the team you want. But as original slots fill up, I will add more on each team so don't worry. The wait for the spot you want won't be too long. (Especially if you invite friends! Hint hint!)

Not super picky about this. We all make mistakes. As long as it doesn't look like you're not fluent in English, you're fine.

Feel free to create any npc's you wish, but please post them in character creation. Npc's can make conversation, accompany your character, help do simple things, and can fight your characters. You just can't use them to fight with your character against other characters. Not unless I okay it. You need to include a picture of them and what role they play at least. You can add other details like a name, race, personality, ect. Other people can use and add to any npc's they wish. All NPC's will be in the NPC thread in the profile forum.

Please try to post at least twice a week. I will boot your character for inactivity after one to two weeks if you do not warn me ahead of time. You can warn me by posting in the absence thread or by pm'ing me.

We have several forms of ooc. We have a main ooc thread in Barton Ooc, then we have a PiratePad for plotting, and we also have an ooc forum in the guild. I would prefer you guys bump the Barton Ooc thread as much as possible!
