Character Creation


Here is where you will be submitting your characters.
Please make sure your profile is completed and that you have read the instructions thoroughly.
Check the Roster for available slots if you are unsure of what's currently available.
Profiles may be accepted by anyone on my crew.


Profile Instructions

◈ Pictures are fantasy. No real pictures. Just fairly to highly detailed fantasy. So no, no anime pictures allowed.
◈ Once you have your picture chosen, you should take a look at the different nations. This will decide (for the most part) what team your character is on.
◈ Next, I have a list of character races. If you are interested in one, click the spoiler for more details on that race. I will not be accepting new character races this time. There are plenty there that I'm sure you can work with.
◈ Once you have all of this decided, you can make a reserve. Reserves are required for all characters. I need a 125x125 picture of your character with their team and position. If you are making a predator, I just need you to specify so with your picture. You can submit your reserve and profile at the same time.
◈ Now you can grab the profile code below. You can mess with coloring and wording as much as you like. Just keep in mind that guild coding is a little different. You may construct your profile in the Code Testing area.
◈ Personality and Biography are optional. I don't need a thousand paragraphs about how your character's parents died, their pet fish died, and their left foot got amputated, but if you want to include that, you may. Much backstory will be revealed through conversation and interactions.
◈ If you chose to forgo the bio and personality, I will need a link to a roleplay you have been in recently. This is just to make sure that you're up to speed with the level of this group. You don't need to be super literate. Just a couple of paragraphs per post is fine.
◈ Once everything is completed, please post your profile right here. In this thread. A crew member will look it over. If they ask you to tweak certain things, please do it. We aim to accept everyone! smile

◈My photobucket stockpile of character pictures. You are welcome to use anything in here, as long as it is not currently being used in the roleplay.
Alphacoders is a wallpaper site with a ton of neat pictures that would be suitable for characters.
This site generates npc backgrounds. I like to use it for ideas. When I use it, I click 'launch generator' I choose level thirty because it will generate several more events than other levels. Then, I pick and choose the events I like.
My test thread has a list of all of the word colors as well as a s**t ton of special characters for copying and pasting. You may also post in there if you wish to test a blurb or profile.
This site is a program that can match any picture with a color palate. This tool is great for making posting layouts.

The Three Nations

Ithus
is a faction of different factions, tribes, and many different races. The factions are ruled individually, but they are all under the rule of the draconian race. Their terrain has many mountains, plains, and some forest. The most predominant races that live here are the Roc, Valkyrie, Nymphs, Draconians, and Elves. The warriors of Ithus are chosen from those attending an academy that is designed to train its students specifically for these games.
        Base: Team one's base is high up in a colossal tree system. Way up in the branches lies a network of hallways and rooms. Tree branches are halfway carved out to form hallways that lead to different trees. The tree trunks are partially carved out to create the different rooms. Everything is hidden and cannot be seen from the ground. The main tree has a staircase in its trunk. The door to the stairs looks just like the outside of a tree and cannot be found by those who don't know its location.

Malandaia is characterized by vast plains, forests, and swamps. This nation too has many factions and tribes. This nation is ruled by a counsel. Each faction has its own ruler that is also part of this central counsel. Malandaia is the most diverse nation. Their most common races are Elves, Drow, Werecreatures, Nymphs, Humans, Siren, some demons, some darklings, and other darker creatures turned more toward light. Malandaia chooses its champions by holding a tournament. Participants fight many one on one battles. The winners go off to the games.
        Base: Team two's base is located behind a false wall. The entrance is much like team one's - in a tree. A tree growing into the wall of the arena houses a tunnel that leads right into team two's base. Everything is made of the same stone the wall is made out of. The tree entrance is well hidden and also cannot be found unless one knows where to look.

Zeladis is the faction that is least diverse and most dark. They have barren wastelands, dark forests, mountains, and canyons. Their races are mostly Vampires, Demons, Darklings, Weres, Incubus, and Drow. They are ruled by the vampire king and queen who seek to unite the world under one empire. The people there are shady and not to be trusted. Travel to Zeladis is difficult for outsiders. They often disappear.Team Zeladis is hand chosen by the monarchy.
        Base: Team three's base's entrance is hidden like team one and two's but instead of going up or out, their base goes down. Team three's base is completely underground. The walls are made of stone. Little light comes from the lanterns that are fixed upon the walls. This is to better accommodate the more nocturnal species that usually come from Zeladis. Their entrance is also well hidden.

Character Races

A cyborg is just any living creature that have had certain parts of them replaced by something mechanical. Since technology isn't there yet with fully replacing living flesh, magic is needed as well as machinery to compensate for the loss of flesh.

Magitech:
• Some sorcerers and witches specialize in mechanics and combine it with the arcane arts. This creates magitech which is a great replacement for limbs and other parts that will not regenerate.
• The magic is dependent on the hardware, and the function of the hardware is dependent on the magic, so a kind of protective spell is usually added to help keep the new part together.
• Magical energy is stored in a battery that is placed in the mechanics of the artificial part. Cyborgs often carry spare batteries. In the event that they have no access to batteries, they can attempt to find the rare Grove Mother Tree and eat its fruit.
• Magitech isn't advanced enough to replace a heart or a brain.
Weapons:
• With these parts attachments can be made. In particular, weapons though a lot of them are not allowed in the games.
Race compatibility:
• Anything that regenerates is not compatible. Vampires, werewolves, and demons cannot receive magitech parts. Aside from these, most other races can become a cyborg.
Weakness:
• If the part is significantly damaged, then it will stop working. This usually doesn't compromise the user as the part is usually something that is not necessary for life but is really inconvenient not to have.

x D A R K L I N G
These creatures are humans that have been saved from death by a demon. In return for a second life, the darkling is bound to serve the demon. Upon resurrection, a darkling receives some abilities they did not have before.

Appearance:
• Darklings look human. They look exactly as they did before they died, except for one thing. With the Resurrection spell, the demon's identity is imprinted upon the skin of the darkling in the form of a tribal looking tattoo. Each demon has a different signature. This mark can be found anywhere on the darkling's body as the demon may choose where it goes. This mark is removable only if the demon releases their darkling.
Resurrection:
• Most darklings used to be a human. This resurrection method is rarely applied to immortals because they are seldom in a state where their life threatens to escape them. When a demon comes across a human that has been recently killed or is very close to death, the demon may choose to save him by breathing a sliver of his immortality into him. The human dies but rises as a darkling. Their wounds and illnesses are healed and they have a lifespan of exactly one hundred years ahead of them. The darkling does not age once resurrected. They will appear to be the same age as they were when their demon found them, even if the demon found them as a child.
Terms of resurrection:
• The darkling has no choice but to be subservient to their master. Their demon master saved their life so that new life now belongs to the demon to command as he wishes. The darkling literally cannot refuse to carry out anything his master asks of him. If his master wants him to slay another, the darkling will try everything they can to slay this individual. If they are commanded to learn a new skill, they will do it.
• Darklings can be released from their binding to their demon. If the demon does not wish to have a darkling anymore, they can simply release them by telling the darkling that they are free. The darkling's mark will fade instantly but they will keep the rest of their new life as well as any skills and abilities they have picked up. Sometimes darklings become attached to their master and this is not a pleasant experience. Not all demons are malevolent. And then some demons don't intend to keep a darkling at all but just want to give a human a true second chance at life.
Abilities:
• The darkling inherits their master's ability to preform dark magics. The darkling can virtually preform every spell and hex a demon can but their energy is much lower than their demon's. A darkling can only preform a few spells before tiring. If they overexert themselves, they could pass out.
• A darkling has the ability to create small illusions but this too takes energy that the darkling might not have.
• Darklings are more agile then they were as a human. They can run faster, jump higher, are more dexterous, but are not stronger. Darklings remain as strong as they were before.
Lifespan:
• A darkling will live for only one hundred years after their resurrection. After this time is up, they simply fade away. They leave no body behind. Instead, their body seems to turn into light particles that float away. After their time is up, they cannot be resurrected again.

x D E M O N S
The race of demons is as old as the underworld itself. They were created to help the death god bring souls into his realm. They are fabled to do whatever they can to make those around them fall to darkness. Now they are known as a race with differing individuals.

Appearance:
• Most demons have horns. They come in a variety of shapes and colors. A demon's skin can also appear in any color. Some of them will even appear human. But all demons have eyes that flash red with anger.
Abilities:
• A demon's abilities are just as varying as their appearances. Generally they are strong - about three times as strong as a human. All demons have a poison in their horns. This poison is a neurotoxin that will paralyze its victim for a time. First the poison causes dizziness, coughing, and drowsiness. As it progresses, it causes severe abdominal pain and paralyzes most muscles for a few hours.
• Demons have the ability to cast illusions. They can make the most terrible monsters, traps, and other horrific things appear out of nowhere. They can also change their appearance, making themselves seem beautiful, harmless, or otherwise deceiving. These illusions can be picked out from reality with a trained eye. These illusions are not tangible and often have a slight flickering translucent quality to them.
• Demons can practice dark magic. This magic can come in the form of curses, more real illusions, spells, and more. Luckily (or unluckily) for their victims, all demon magic and poison can be removed by ingesting tea made from the rare ghost orchid flower.
Reproduction:
• Demons can be created by the death god or born. Created demons never had humanity and are often the most cruel of demons. Born demons are born with an intact humanity. They also have a human appearance without horns. Only when they are angered or threatened do they turn into a demon. A born demon can lose his human appearance if he loses his humanity. A demon can loose his humanity by doing things that lack morality.
Weakness:
• All demon magic can be avoided with the use of the ghost orchid flower. Also, demon magic tends to deplete a demon's energy rather quickly but the older the demon, the more endurance they posses.

x D R A C O N I A N
Draconians are the descendants of dragons. There used to be true dragons that came from this race, but their blood is now not pure enough to bear dragons. These creatures are physically stronger than any of the other races. They each have an element affinity and the ability to practice simple magic.

Appearance:
• Draconians are not scaly nor do they have wings. They don't bear any physical dragon qualities apart from their eyes. Their eyes can shift in color and their pupils may become slitted when angered. Each draconian has a unique dragon's mark on their back. It looks like a tribal design with lines weaving in and out of each other. The lines are black and shift into the color of their draconian's element.
Elements:
• Water: Need an existing source, but water can be found just about anywhere. The user can turn this element into ice and control things that are composed of 80% or more of water. Has mild healing abilities. Draconians can heal medium wounds, such as gashes that would require stitches, cracked bones, and more severe burns.
• Fire: Draconians do not need a source of fire to wield it. They can create bursts of this element and burn anything that can catch. A draconian's fire burns quite a bit hotter than normal fire.
• Earth: The user can make plants grow at an extraordinary rate. They can manipulate solid rock into any form they can create, as well as move it at high speeds through the air.
• Wind: With this element, the user can create small tornadoes, strong winds, and with the help of tools, they fly without wings. A wind draconian can also use wind to sharpen their weapons and help them move with more agility.
• Sun: Draconians can heal medium wounds, such as gashes, cracked bones, and mildly severe burns. They also have a greater aptitude for the old dragon magic. They can create light so that they can see even in the thickest darkness.
• Cosmic: These draconians can manipulate cosmic energy into any physical form they desire. It can move like a fluid or with compression, become a sturdy solid. This substance glows dark hues of blue, green, and purple. It also has the potential to burn like fire.
Abilities:
• Draconians rarely practice dark magic and stick with simple enchantments. They are notorious for making enchanted weapons that hold a fraction of the draconian's elemental power. Anyone can wield these weapons.
Language:
• Draconians have their own language that they speak commonly in their home. Most also know the common language but all draconians know how to speak Draconic.
Weakness:
• A draconian's abilities are completely inhibited when contacting the stone amethyst. This stone burns the draconian, weakens them, and makes it hard for them to do anything.
Dracushan:
• Dracushan are draconians that have fallen to darkness. Each draconian is tempted with darkness. It will slither into the draconian's mind and make promises of more power, longer life, protection, and whatever else it can throw at the draconian. Once a draconian falls, their element is consumed by darkness.
• Their new element, darkness, can be molded like earth and directed like water. It was solid or fluid, depending on what the user intends. This new element can burn those not allied with darkness. It leaves behind dark blue marks on the skin that feel raw.
• The dracushan also lose their dragon mark. Once fallen, a dracushan can never return to their element. In fact, their old element will affect them more than the others. If a once fire dracushan is burned by fire, it will burn worse.
• Dracushan are still affected by amethyst the same way draconians are.

x D R O W
Once elves that have fallen to darkness. Some tribes of drow are less dark than others. Drow in Malandaia differ from the drow in Zeladis in terms of government and certain physical characteristics.

Appearance:
• Drow have dark skin and light hair. The color of their skin can be a dark blue, purple, or black. The color of their skin reflects how far the drow has fallen into darkness. Their hair comes in shades ranging from white to lavender. Most drow in Zeladis have black skin and while hair while drow in Malandaia commonly have skin that is blue or purple with slightly colored hair.
Abilities:
• Drow have the ability to turn into smoke. They can only retain this form for five seconds. But, this form does not allow them to avoid all damage, but just allows them to evade much more easily. After a drow uses this ability, they cannot use it again for ten seconds.
• Drow can see exceptionally well at night and in complete darkness. They don't see as well during they day.
• These elves, instead of practicing light magic, practice dark magic. Their endurance doesn't let them cast many spells in a short period of time. A couple of attack spells will rob a drow of most of their energy.
Language:
Drow have their own language apart from elvish. It is similar, having stemmed from elvish. Most drow also speak the common language, and some can also speak elvish.
Government:
• The drow of Malandaia are a matriarchal society. The women are generally considered the head of the household. The government is run by a woman and it is considered a great offense to disrespect one.
• In Zeladis, the drow are rules by the Zeladis government. They have a head of their group but that individual answers to the Zeladis monarchy.
Weakness:
• Light is not their friend. They cannot see well.during the day and if they are hit with bright light, it might stun them for a time. Drow normally reside in caves or otherwise underground so their eyes aren't accustomed to much light.

x E L D R I T C H x A B O M I N A T I O N
Otherworldly monstrosities born from the stuff of chaos. They rarely interact with the physical realm, and those that do are either on a quest for knowledge and understanding, or after dominance of the flesh and blood races.

Appearance:
• Eldritch abominations are formless and ever changing, gazing upon one can break the mind. As such, those that come to the physical planes must find a suitable form to take to converse with other races. Each abomination is unique in appearance so it is impossible to describe them.
Abilities:
• All Abominations can inspire a crushing awe in those around them, either naturally should they be in their true state, or by exertion while wearing a flesh mask.
• The mind of an Abomination is as alien to all other races as their appearance is. This makes them incredibly resilient if not immune to mind altering and mind reading effects. This can cause considerable backlash if a being attempts to do such a thing.
• Abominations are capable of learning all schools of magic, as well as all styles of weapons, but they are incapable of using them if the form they take is not compatible with them. An Abomination in the form of a phoenix would therefore not be able to use any weapon styles it may learn through observation, as well as magics incompatible with a phoenix, such as water or ice.
• Abominations have incredible psionic and physical prowess in their natural states, far outstripping that of physical plane races, however, they are unable to call upon that true strength in the physical realm, weakening them significantly, but still leaving them quite powerful.
• Abominations cannot truly be killed, however, destroying the form they take in the physical realm will banish their true form back to their natural plane. Destroying their physical form will only be as difficult as it would be to kill the form were it actually of the race and not an abomination. (e.g. An Abomination in human form could be killed by anything that kills a human, an Abomination in the form of a vampire would need to be killed in the same way as a vampire.
• Abominations, even in physical forms, do not need food, water, or any other normal sustenance, nor do they need to breathe.
• Abominations gain the strengths and natural abilities of whatever form they take.
Weaknesses:
• Know the term stranger in a strange land? That applies here. Abominations know nothing about the various physical realm unless they have visited one before. As such, magic they may know and control could fizzle, their strengths could change, and their forms could be useless as they do not know how the realm functions.
• Abominations are severely limited upon entering the physical realm unless they were summoned by a group that is foolish enough not to place limits on them, in which case they will be at full strength, but only able to remain in the realm for a few minutes. Those that come across themselves are significantly weakened by the process, but may stay indefinitely.
• Abominations cannot change forms at will in the physical realm, they must find and identify the form they wish to take before they can take it themselves. This can make things difficult, as their true forms are hard to hide long enough to assume a form.
• While Abominations gain the strengths of the form they take, they also gain all of the weaknesses of that form as well.

x E L F
The elves keep their society very exclusive. Not many know much about their inner workings but most of everyone knows that the elves are fantastic craftsmen.

Appearance:
• Elves have elongated ears, slender bodies, and tall builds. Their skin is pale and sometimes even light markings can be seen on their skin.
Craftsmenship:
• Elven society makes the majority of luxury goods shipped throughout the three factions. They are known for their weapon smithing, jewelry crafting, armor smithing, and various crafts. Generally, if an item is elven made, it is going to be high quality.
• Their weapons are often sought out by sorcerers and demons to enchant. Elven weapons last the longest and respond beautifully to enchantments.
Elusiveness:
• The elves have made their home in Malandaia. They keep its location a secret. So secret that no outsider has found it and made it back to divulge its whereabouts.
Abilities:
• Elves are known for their agility. An elf is faster than most of the other races and more agile.
• Elves are great at stealth and can sneak up on just about everything.
• They are great with most of the weapons they craft. Heavier ones aren't favorable though. The lighter the weapon, the easier the elf can wield it.
• Quite a few elves practice white magic. White magic is selfless form of sorcery. It is also considered the most pure kind of magic. With this, they can heal, place good luck charms, receive glimpses of the future, locate lost objects, and create light to ward off evil and darkness.
Weakness:
• Elves aren't very strong. They are only about as strong as a human. Most of the other races can easily overcome an elf in close quarters.
Culture:
• Elves are ruled by a single royal family. They have been in power for centuries.
• Elves have developed their own language. They speak this along with the common tongue of the three factions, taught to them at a young age.
• Many centuries ago, a group of elves branched off from the main house. These elves found a new home in the caves underneath Malandaia. After years of being underground, they began to adapt and grow further and further apart from their more pure counterparts. These new elves are now known as the drow.
Lifespan:
• Elves do not regenerate but can live for a very long time. There are records that have accounts of elves living to be a few thousand years old.
• If not healed, mortal wounds will certainly kill an elf.
• And elf cannot heal themselves and even then, healing leaves the healed with little energy.

x G O L E M
A golem, or construct, is a magically-born being. Created by sorcerers, witches, and other magic users, a golem is created out of a statue. A scroll of knowledge is inserted into a special cavity, rituals are performed, and a semblance of life and sapience is given to these one-immobile works of art. Depending on the level of detail in the scroll, components used in creation, and time and magic poured into the golem, varying creatures can be created as desired.

Types:
• Precious Gems and Glass: Artistic, pleasurable companionship. These golems are used in place of musicians, concubines, nannies, hosts, announcers, and performers. Fragile, but the most humanlike in their emotive range and gestures.
• Clay: Wisdom and storage. Clay golems are sturdier than their gem-and-glass counterparts, with an expansive "mind". Usually they are given a much larger scroll with a great deal of blank space for future knowledge to be obtained and stored. A favorite amongst both arcane users and scientists as a mode of data storage and retrieval, as well as a popular choice for tutoring and teachers.
• Stone and Metal: Protective warriors. It is popular for these massive, sturdy golems to be installed in noble and royal households. Wealthy individuals, or those whose professions require them to be around great riches, are known to travel with at least one stone-and-metal golem bodyguard. Some have been designed to be active warriors as opposed to silent, watchful guards. Due to the great expense it takes to make a golem, however, golem armies have never been raised.
Strengths:
• Immune to sickness, poisons, and wounding.
• Does not suffer hunger or exhaustion in a normal manner
• Depending on the creator, they can be highly perceptive. Almost all golems are given improved sight and hearing.
• Precious Gems and Glass: Humanlike. Unless you touch an artistic golem, you would never notice they weren't human.
• Clay: Expansive mind. Knowledge golems can retain perfect knowledge indefinitely.
• Stone and Metal: Swift and Strong. Coupled with their nigh indestructible nature, stone and metal golems are excellent combatants, combining great speed and a very heavy blow.
Weaknesses:
• Depending on the creator, they often lack taste, scent, and touch.
• While they can maintain themselves without food, water, or sleep, they require arcane magic to recharge. If they cannot receive charges from their sorcerer, or barter with another magic user for their energy, a golem will fall into a coma-like sleep, one hour for every two hours of vigorous work (battle, intense memorization, performance, etc)
• If one can manage to smash through the proper area of a golem's body and remove their scroll, it effectively kills them. While some of the less combative golems keep their scrolls in the traditional cavity inside the head or heart, combat-ready ones often have theirs cemented inside their belly, bowels, or throat.
• Some golems "go rogue", desiring a life outside of servitude. These creatures are considered dangerous and often harbor a deep hatred for sorcerers, as well as any races they may have been around while serving.
• Precious Gems and Glass: Fragile. If one of these creatures is tipped down the stairs, they are likely to shatter.
• Clay: Inhuman. It is difficult for these data banks to understand empathy. While they are capable of understanding when their creator is in danger, they do not react to gruesome or touching things save to state observations.
• Stone and Metal: Colossi. These golems can get to massive sizes, up to seven times larger than a normal human. These giant golems, called "Colossi", are practically indestructible, terrifying to behold, and make perfect guards. However, they are slow, loud, obtrusive, and do not travel well.

x H U M A N
Humans aren't the most intelligent, strong, or able creature, but they are incredibly adaptable. They are thought to be unreliable and selfish creatures, but this does not hold true for all of them.

Abilities:
• A human can learn many useful skills. These include many forms of combat and weapon use.
• A human's imagination is probably their best quality. Humans have always dreamed big. Their dreams sometimes lead them to great things. Most of the great architecture has been designed and built by humans.
• Other than this, a human has no abilities.
Weakness:
• Humans are easy to kill. They are slow and this makes them a favored prey of races that need to feed on blood, energy, or make more of themselves by turning them. The quality of what they have to give isn't as great as other races.

x I N C U B U S
Incubus are male creatures they feed upon sexual encounters with women and occasionally other men. They have the ability to entrance those that are attracted to him. See Siren for their female counterpart.

Appearance:
• These creatures are all handsome and generally do not age. They will age though if they do not feed enough. As soon as they feed again, they will revert back to their young and beautiful self.
Feeding:
• An incubus feeds from the sexual energy of their partners. He gains the most from partners he has intercourse with, so he will usually shoot for this.
• If an incubus is starved then he will age until he withers away into nothing.
Abilities:
• Incubus can entrance their victims through touch. Once under his spell, he can get his victim to do nearly anything he wants. However he cannot make his victim do anything that is not in their power. This effect only lasts a few minutes.
• While being fed upon or entranced, the victim will feel as though they are in love with the incubus. Even after the incubus is done with them, the victim may still feel love or a strong feeling of adoration toward their incubus. In stronger individuals, they may recognize that this love is only a result of an ability and nothing more. These individuals are free of the incubus' effects afterward.
• There is nothing stopping an incubus from learning weapon styles, fighting styles, and even a bit of magic.
Weakness:
• If their victim is not sexually attracted to them, the incubus gains nothing and cannot entrance them.
• If an incubus falls in love, they become mortal. They retain their abilities and young appearance but they can be killed with any mortal wound. Incubus will often go to great lengths to avoid this but most incubus eventually fall in love and into mortality.
Lifespan:
• An incubus is immortal and cannot be killed unless he falls in love. They can be wounded but they will regenerate.

x N Y M P H
Nymphs are gorgeous and shy creatures. They have abilities that are most commonly elemental based. Nymphs aren't as strong as other races but they can certainly defend themselves if backed into a corner.

Appearance:
• All nymphs are beautiful. They are wild looking and share traits with their element. Their elements aren't just confined to water, earth, fire, and wind. They could be of the river, woods, mountains, cosmos, and anything else naturally occurring in nature. Each nymph looks different. They can have different colored skin, hair, eyes. Some will have branches throughout their hair, some may have starfish on their skin, or some may even look almost human. It all depends on the nymph and the element.
Abilities:
• Nymphs can control their element with ease. So much so that they are a part of it and it is a part of them. A nymph is most powerful near or in their element. They are better at element control than draconians even.
Origin:
• For every nymph, there is a river, a star, a tree, a mountain, or something else that they were birthed from. When that thing dies, the nymph will die as well. The nymph is the spirit of that part of nature embodied in a humanoid form.
Weakness:
• If you can find the nymph's origin and destroy it, you destroy the nymph.
• If you remove a nymph from nature, they become weakened. If they are not returned within a day or do they become sickly and eventually may even die.
Personality:
• Nymphs are shy creatures and much rather run from danger than face it. But if you threaten their home, you'd better watch out. A threatened nymph can go from demure to ferocious in .2 seconds.

x R O C
The Roc are a bird like species. For the most part, they appear human, except for a pair of large feathered wings.

Appearance:
• The Roc has large bird wings on their backs. They usually match the Roc's hair color. The feathers can be of any color but they are most commonly tones of white, browns, or black.
Senses:
• The Roc has an exemplary set of senses. They can see farther than most creatures, hear better, and smell better. These senses are honed to the point of being able to hear a beating heart about ten yards away. It is often said, "You cannot hide from a Roc." Their reaction time is faster than most races as well.
Abilities:
• Their archery skills are unparalleled. Their eyesight paired with this weapon makes for a deadly hunter. They also favor poison with their arrows though they don't need it to kill their victim.
• The intelligence of a Roc is also notable. Many of these creatures become scholars and great strategists.
Weakness:
• Their wings are a bit bulky which makes fast movement in heavily wooded areas difficult.
• They are not as strong as some of the other races at only 2x the strength of a human.
Lifespan:
• Rocs age until they reach adulthood and then stay like that until the end of their life. They usually live to around three hundred. Rocs can be killed by normal means.
Other:
• These creatures usually live high in the mountains where other races can't get to them. They do not like to interbreed with other races to keep their blood pure. They are a proud species and tend to look down on most others.

x S I R E N
Sirens or mermaids are creatures of the sea. She will sing to lure her prey into the waters where she can swiftly kill or incapacitate. On land, she will form legs and appear as a human, but in the water there is no mistaking her for anything other than a siren.

Appearance:
• The siren have two forms. Their first one resembles a mermaid. They have long finned tails and scales on their bottom half. Their top half is completely human. Their other form is human. They have legs, feet, and not a trace of scale. Their form shifts upon coming out of the water. For a siren to change from form to form, she must come out of the water completely, or be halfway immersed.
Abilities:
• A siren's voice is her most important weapon. If she sings to one that is sexually attracted to her, then they will become her slave for a time. How long the effects vary depending on the individual but usually last about an hour. The siren has to be in the water for this ability to work, otherwise if she tries to sing, her voice will be screechy and unattractive. Her speaking voice is alright above water as long as she stays hydrated.
• Sirens are talented with poisons. They have many aquatic creatures in their home that produce highly toxic substances that they harvest to use on weapons.
Weakness:
• If a siren becomes dehydrated, she could die. A siren can't stay out of water without drinking plenty of it.
• A siren can only entrance those that are attracted to her. (mostly men)
• If one binds a siren halfway in the water and halfway out at daytime, she will become dehydrated and die. But people who do this can still hear her voice before she loses too much water.
Mating:
• A siren will mate only once, with one man. Since all siren are female, they have to search on land for their mate. Each siren can give the ability to breathe underwater to only one person. If they give someone this ability and they leave her, then she will forever be alone in the water. After this ability is given, the siren will pull their mate into the water and bring them to her home. The ability is given through a kiss. The kiss has to be given by the siren. Not stolen from her.

x S O R C E R E R
Sorcerers are the most talented in the arcane arts. Their magic can range from white to black to even elemental.

Appearance:
• Sorcerers look just like humans. They have no different marks, eye colors, or skin colors. Just human looking.
Abilities:
• Sorcerers can use magic from any category. But their magic is more potent if they stick to one type of magic. The types are white, black, elemental, and chaos.
• White magic is selfless. It deals with healing, casting good luck charms, seeing the future, finding lost things, and other spells of that nature.
• Black magic has to do with torment and death. It is used for raising the dead, communicating with the dead, placing curses, and generally being unkind.
• Elemental magic is self explanatory. In addition to using the element of their choice, they can also bind this element to objects and give them a bit of an elemental flair when used. One sorcerer can only control up to two elements that counter each other.
• Chaos magic is very dangerous. It is the combination of white and black magic. Often those that attempt to use both magics go insane due to constantly being pulled in two different directions by their arcane energies.
• In addition to these, every sorcerer can use basic magic. These are the spells that are not good or bad. They are just there. These spells are along the lines of making things levitate, locking and unlocking things, making appliances work on their own, etc.
• Sorcerers can only chose one path to follow with their magic with the exception of chaos, but very few can successfully use chaos effectively.
• All sorcerers can enchant objects. The kind of enchantment depends on their path. Sorcerers often enchant weapons and tools for their livelihood as they are very useful.
Weakness:
• Sorcerers are limited by their endurance. They do not have unlimited energy and need to watch themselves. If they overwork themselves, they may pass out from exhaustion.
• Sorcerers are only as strong as humans physically, but certainly there are spells to remedy that temporarily.
Culture:
• Sorcerers are widespread and diverse. They can be found in every corner of the world. Some like to stay in groups or be a part of a guild. Others like to live and work completely on their own.
Lifespan:
• Sorcerers lifespans vary. Having a vast amount of spells and magics at ones disposal kind of makes it easier to bend the rules. Some sorcerers use dark magic to steal years of life from others. There are several ways to add to ones lifespan. This magic though is highly advances and not every sorcerer lives long enough to achieve it. When they do the sorcerer is already elderly. Left alone, a sorcerer will live to be about the age of a hundred.

x V A M P I R E
Vampires are an ancient race that is both revered and feared. They generally drink blood for sustenance but it isn't unheard of for a vampire to sustain themselves with stolen energy.

Senses:
• A vampire’s senses are many times more powerful than a humans, except for sight in daylight. Vampires see the best in complete darkness and do not need a light source. They can hear things that most humans cannot, like someone’s heartbeat, voices from a distance away, and things that would otherwise go unregistered by human ears. The reflexes of a vampire are several times faster than a human’s. Their sense of smell is also heightened. They can scent blood from half a mile away. They can also distinguish one person from another by scent.
Abilities:
• A vampire is about three times stronger than a human. This increases with age.
• A vampire can move at a speed that is usually undetectable by humans. They can appear to almost teleport to someone who is none the wiser.
• Vampires have the ability to compel humans and most supernatural races. Compulsion works through eye contact. If a vampire can get someone to look them in the eye, the vampire can then alter or add memories, give commands, and invade dreams. The affects vary from race to race and even from person to person.
• A vampire’s blood has a healing agent that works on humans, and some supernaturals.
• A vampire can acquire their victim’s life memories if they kill them by drinking from them. Otherwise, a vampire can only acquire snippets from someone who is still alive. Through a bite, a vampire can search through the memories of their victims and acquire the ones that they want. If their victim resists, it is more difficult for them to find what they want. If a vampire has too many memories from too many people, they will go insane.
• Only original vampires have an ability that is unique to them. Known original abilities are shadow manipulation, fire manipulation, illusion weaving, and pain manipulation. Note: An original vampire is neither a born vampire nor a turned one. The original vampires are the first of their kind. Original vampires were touched by a dark magic usually coming from the underworld.
Weaknesses:
• Turquoise is poisonous to vampires. The gem causes severe irritation if physical contact is made. It is weakening, but will not kill a vampire. Depending on the individual’s threshold of pain, a vampire can resist the effects of the gem. The more turquoise used, the greater the effect on the vampire. If a human or other supernatural has turquoise on them, a vampire cannot get into their head, no matter how hard they try. In ancient cultures, turquoise was often worn to ward off evils. Now, these myths are thought to have stemmed from the vampire’s aversion to the gem.
• Sunlight will affect a vampire’s eyesight. Sunlight burns their eyes much like dust would irritate the eyes of a human.
• A vampire will die if decapitated or staked in the heart. This is the only way to kill a vampire. All other wounds will regenerate. A vampire cannot regenerate from wounds that still have wood or turquoise embedded in them.
• Fire will desiccate a vampire if the exposure is prolonged. In a desiccated state, a vampire’s body will turn grey and rigid and only be awoken when someone feeds them blood. A vampire can become desiccated if they are starved. This usually takes quite a long time and in most cases, turns the vampire insane.
Diet:
• A vampire must consume blood every day in order to stay healthy. Some types of blood are more sustaining than others. For example, a vampire would need less of a supernatural’s blood than a human’s. Often when feeding from humans, the human dies due to losing too much blood. A vampire may favor one blood type over another, especially when it comes to other supernatural races. A vampire can be sustained by vampire blood though it is not pleasurable unless there is a sire bond in place. A vampire’s bite is, in most cases, painful, but when the victim has an attraction to the vampire, the bite will be pleasurable. Vampire’s possess a venom that can act like a light anesthetic, weakening their victim, making escape more difficult.
Sire Bonds:
• When a vampire turns someone, that turned will remain susceptible to their creator’s abilities, but not to another vampire’s abilities. Both vampires will be able to feel with the other dies. They will feel the other’s death as if it happened to them, but it will not physically affect them. Creators can feel with their fledglings are in danger. They are alerted by an acute feeling of dread. This feeling is ignorable if the creator has no attachment to their fledglings, which is common. A creator can release a fledgling from this bond by verbally telling them that they are released. For the fledgling, this is an incredibly painful experience but it will free them of their creator.
Turning:
• A vampire can turn any human into a vampire and most supernatural races into a vampire. For the transition to work, the victim must die with vampire blood in their system either through ingestion, injection, or other means. The outcome of turning a supernatural is sometimes messy and unpredictable. (discuss with Loops your ideas before this happens)
Psy-vampire:
• A psy-vampire shares most of these characteristics with the more common vampire. The only difference is the way they sustain themselves. Psy-vampires draw out energy from their victim through touch. The most efficient way for them to do this is contact their victim close to their energy center, around where their heart is. The taking of energy is said to give the vampire a feeling of bliss and peace and is more pleasurable than taking blood.
Other:
• Vampires do not have the need for sleep though they can fall asleep during the day.

x V A L KY R I E
Valkyrie are an immortal race chosen by the gods Sephorus and Rylia, or born of an existing valkyrie. They are ruthless warrior women that are known for their feirceness in battle and their beauty. These women are literally daughters of the gods.

Abilities:
• A valkyrie is twice as strong as a human male. They are fast and highly skilled with weapons of all kinds. They have control over the element of wind, making them seem like they can fly at times though they cannot. A valkyrie may use this ability to slow a fall, jump higher, and perform many impossible acts of acrobatics. In mythology, they are often depicted with angelic wings, but in reality, they do not have these. valkyrie are notorious for using their control over wind to fortify their weapon strikes. With this technique, they can make just about any blade come faster and sharper than otherwise.
• They have some control over lightening, but it is very limited. It is usually tied to their emotions. When a valkyrie gets angry, she can cause a lightening storm, but cannot dictate where the lightening strikes. This also happens when they are happy or feeling any other strong emotion.
Weakness:
• Valkyrie are somewhat materialistic and can be mesmerized by rare gems and gold. This comes from their mother's affinity for gold, silver, and gemstones. A valkyrie can train themselves not to fall into this trap, but it takes years to do so.
• Their eyes will also flash silver when feeling emotion. Their ears are pointed, like an elves. They have tiny fangs but don't use them for anything. These fangs aren't really noticeable unless one is looking for them.
The gods:
• Sephorus is the god of war, wisdom, and strength.
• Rylia is the goddess of fertility, beauty, and gold.
Creation:
• A valkyrie is created when a strong woman dies in battle. The gods strike the female with their immortal lightening and rescue her to their hall. The woman is then made into a valkyrie, an immortal daughter of the gods.
• Valkyrie can procreate, but their children will either be a valkyrie or the race of their mate. Even then, the child must be female to be a valkyrie. There is a one fourth chance of getting a valkyrie from a valkyrie pregnancy. A born valkyrie is not as strong as a chosen valkyrie.
• Though valkyrie are immortal, they can be killed. Most mortal wounds will kill one but a valkyrie is much more durable than a human.
• Valkyrie are notorious for hating vampires and will never bend to them. Not one valkyrie is loyal to a vampire.

x W E R E x C R E A T U R E S
These are people that have the ability to turn into a beast. They are much stronger than humans and even vampires.

Varieties:
• A were creature can be of any animal. Some of the most common weres (greater-were) are wolves, tigers, lions, bears, dogs, and fox. Less common and more slight (Lesser-were) are birds, deer, rabbit, and other small creatures.
Strength:
• Greater-weres are physically stronger than every other race excluding the draconian. Females are as strong as male vampires (about 3x human strength) and the males are about four times as strong as a human. Lesser weres vary greatly. Larger animals such as a horse can almost rival a greater were while the wererabbit is only about as strong as a human. Greater-were's animal form is larger than the non-were version of that animal, so a wolf may be the size of a horse.
Weakness:
• All were creatures are highly allergic to rose. The delicate flower will burn their skin, irritate their respiratory system, and weaken them.
Turning:
• They can turn into their animal form at will and must turn into their animal form during the full moon. Turning uses a lot of energy. A were cannot change back and forth too many times in a short period or they risk exhausting themselves and passing out. (About three times an hour is pushing it.)
Reproduction:
• Were creatures can procreate as well as turn others into their kind. Natural birth is considered more legitimate. More are made through biting though. Their venom will infect their victim much like a violent illness. The victim is first struck by a vicious fever. Dizziness, dry throat, and chills come soon after. The process takes about a day, ending with death. Not all victims awake afterward but the ones that do will forever be a slave to the animal that is now inside of them. After the transformation, a were's internal temperature will be warmer than a human's. A were is not considered undead but rather changed since the were virus sparks a different kind of life in a turned individual.
Lifespan:
• Were creatures live indefinitely though they will die of starvation, illness, or mortal wounds. They can regenerate, but some wounds cannot be regenerated fast enough, letting the were die.
Personality:
• Were creatures when human almost always reflect the creature inside of them though characteristics unique to that animal. For example, a wolf may have a need to be part of a group led by an alpha, or a lion may be quick to agitate. When feeling strong emotion, their eyes may flash the color they are in their animal form and whoever witnesses this might catch a glimpse of the animal that is inside of them.
Family:
• Were creatures are often from a pack of their kind, called the proper term for a group of their animal form. For example, a group of wolves would be called a pack, birds would be called a flock, and lions would be called a pride. Some animals form very tight knit groups while others are more solitary.

¯ ¯ ↘ My abilites stem from my alien psyche and appearance. The first and foremost of these is taking on an avatar, or becoming an almost exact replica of a being, including all physical and magical attributes. Of course this means little in the long run, as I have the form and not the mind, so even if I took the form of a powerful mage, I would not have the knowledge of magic to cast any spells he may know. Another is my mental resilience. My psyche is alien to mortal magic users, so most spells or abilities that fog or control the mind have no effect on me, aside from a killer headache if the spell or ability is a powerful one. My true strength comes from my natural form. When revealed it can literally shatter the minds of those who gaze upon it for too long, it is greatly restricted in this realm however, so I will generally only be able to manifest parts of my body at a time to use as weapons or shields. It bears mentioning that my body is amorphous and fluid. My last and most powerful ability has been colloquially dubbed, 'Presence of the Elders'. Should I lock eyes with an opponent, using one of my real eyes, not the eyes of my avatar, it can, in some cases, literally paralyze them, though through fear, awe, or some other response I know not. On the flip side however, the used eye is often blinded for a time by the side effects of being in this realm. Weapons and Magic of the mortal realms are things I have learned over a long time and many summonings, while I would hesitate to call myself a master of such things, I am well aware I am more skilled than many mortals can hope to be.

That however, is not always possible, again due to my natural appearance. Should you decide to invoke my ire, I will see you dragged to the abyss of the outer realms and devoured by the madness there. ¯ ¯ ↘ I was spawned from the planar chaos of the multiverse countless years ago, spat from a chaotic maw of swirling matter and thought. For many years I was as alien to myself as I was to the waking realms of existence, attempting to determine who, what, and most of all, why? Why was a question that solidified my tenuous existence, that kept me from dispersing into the cosmic tides of madness and devastation. As my existence became solidified, that why spread beyond myself, to the other beings spawned with me from the chaos, and the fledgling realms and worlds full of physical beings, beings that had never been seen before.

My relationship with the physical realms of existence has been an odd one. I have been called in my natural state and into an avatar, summoned by obscene rights and holy prayers, summoned to bestow power, or knowledge. I knew not what they wanted with me, and they knew not what I wanted with them, some offered sacrifices of livestock, of gold and jewels, others, far more twisted then their kin, offered human sacrifices, attempting to... well, win my favor in retrospect. I treated all with an ambivalent equality, taking what was offered, and giving some in return, though it was quite evident some of them assumed I was here to eliminate all living beings, and were trying to buy me off. Now that I think about it, I never did learn how anyone discovered how to summon us to the physical realms, but I am thankful for it.

Ahem, back on topic. For many years, in between summonings I took it upon myself to learn about the physical realm I was called to so often. I learned of its many peoples, it's languages, it's magics, anything and everything I could. I watched as they advanced from frightfully primitive to quite advanced, a civilized peoples making due in a wonderfully imperfect world. So now I find myself here once again, called, no, begged by royalty to aid them in this, a time of need. Yes, begged, I am told that is highly atypical for these monarchs. They asked me to aid them in some game, and so I agreed. This time I will be one of them, looking from the inside, rather than the outside, and I relish the opportunity.

I have no true alignment, as far as your kind considers good or evil and alignment, I treat both equally, and view both as equally legitimate styles of life. In this case, I am working for... I forget which side... Evil I think the people of this realm call it. They are most certainly a darker people, but good and evil are not concepts I am truly familiar with, nor do I really care about them much. As such, I was called to help these people take over, to fight, to win. I shall do so, after all, it is what I was called to do.

¯ ¯ ↘ My abilites stem from my alien psyche and appearance. The first and foremost of these is taking on an avatar, or becoming an almost exact replica of a being, including all physical and magical attributes. Of course this means little in the long run, as I have the form and not the mind, so even if I took the form of a powerful mage, I would not have the knowledge of magic to cast any spells he may know. Another is my mental resilience. My psyche is alien to mortal magic users, so most spells or abilities that fog or control the mind have no effect on me, aside from a killer headache if the spell or ability is a powerful one. My true strength comes from my natural form. When revealed it can literally shatter the minds of those who gaze upon it for too long, it is greatly restricted in this realm however, so I will generally only be able to manifest parts of my body at a time to use as weapons or shields. It bears mentioning that my body is amorphous and fluid. My last and most powerful ability has been colloquially dubbed, 'Presence of the Elders'. Should I lock eyes with an opponent, using one of my real eyes, not the eyes of my avatar, it can, in some cases, literally paralyze them, though through fear, awe, or some other response I know not. On the flip side however, the used eye is often blinded for a time by the side effects of being in this realm. Weapons and Magic of the mortal realms are things I have learned over a long time and many summonings, while I would hesitate to call myself a master of such things, I am well aware I am more skilled than many mortals can hope to be.

¯ ¯ ↘ Despite my appearance, I would usually rather talk then fight, and will take pains to try and ensure that happens. Curiosity is my main drive in this most physical of realms, and I enjoy learning about this realm and the beings that inhabit it. I would prefer to simply meet, talk, and then part ways peacefully. That however, is not always possible, again due to my natural appearance. Should you decide to invoke my ire, I will see you dragged to the abyss of the outer realms and devoured by the madness there. I would rather be at peace than at war, but if war comes, I will show no mercy, and no pity.

¯ ¯ ↘ I was spawned from the planar chaos of the multiverse countless years ago, spat from a chaotic maw of swirling matter and thought. For many years I was as alien to myself as I was to the waking realms of existence, attempting to determine who, what, and most of all, why? Why was a question that solidified my tenuous existence, that kept me from dispersing into the cosmic tides of madness and devastation. As my existence became solidified, that why spread beyond myself, to the other beings spawned with me from the chaos, and the fledgling realms and worlds full of physical beings, beings that had never been seen before.

My relationship with the physical realms of existence has been an odd one. I have been called in my natural state and into an avatar, summoned by obscene rights and holy prayers, summoned to bestow power, or knowledge. I knew not what they wanted with me, and they knew not what I wanted with them, some offered sacrifices of livestock, of gold and jewels, others, far more twisted then their kin, offered human sacrifices, attempting to... well, win my favor in retrospect. I treated all with an ambivalent equality, taking what was offered, and giving some in return, though it was quite evident some of them assumed I was here to eliminate all living beings, and were trying to buy me off. Now that I think about it, I never did learn how anyone discovered how to summon us to the physical realms, but I am thankful for it.

Ahem, back on topic. For many years, in between summonings I took it upon myself to learn about the physical realm I was called to so often. I learned of its many peoples, it's languages, it's magics, anything and everything I could. I watched as they advanced from frightfully primitive to quite advanced, a civilized peoples making due in a wonderfully imperfect world. So now I find myself here once again, called, no, begged by royalty to aid them in this, a time of need. Yes, begged, I am told that is highly atypical for these monarchs. They asked me to aid them in some game, and so I agreed. This time I will be one of them, looking from the inside, rather than the outside, and I relish the opportunity.

I have no true alignment, as far as your kind considers good or evil and alignment, I treat both equally, and view both as equally legitimate styles of life. In this case, I am working for... I forget which side... Evil I think the people of this realm call it. They are most certainly a darker people, but good and evil are not concepts I am truly familiar with, nor do I really care about them much. As such, I was called to help these people take over, to fight, to win. I shall do so, after all, it is what I was called to do.

¯ ¯ ↘ The Monarchy of Zeladis called me using an ancient rite, one I have not felt the tug of in many a long century. It allows me to access a bit more of my power in the physical realm, but in return I can only take on one body to use as a mortal shell. In return for fighting for them, they promised me a great deal of knowledge, and promised to procure me a very capable body.

¯ ¯ ↘ I am a necromancer, one who has gained enough strength in Zeladis of all places to be considered for the games, though only just. My necromancy is quite adequate for raising any number of minor creatures, mindless ghouls, zombies, skeletons and the like. Greater undead, such as true warriors, lichs, and other more powerful beings are much more difficult for me. As for the most powerful, giants, dracolichs, beings of that caliber, that is currently out of my reach. I am quite skilled with a short blade to defend myself with in the event my necromantic minions fail to keep my enemies at bay.

¯ ¯ ↘ I have been called cold, a lover of death, I have also been called weak, I resent that. I may not be the most skilled necromancer, but I am skilled enough for my own purposes. I show loyalty to those who earn it, and everyone on my team has done that. I can show mercy, on occasion, but I rarely bother. I do not delude myself, thinking I am the most powerful being on this team, but any enemy would be a fool to take me lightly.

¯ ¯ ↘ I am an oddity in Zeladis. A human with power. My family was one of a few remaining families of humans that had not been wiped out or oppressed, though as to how we had survived I know not. Either way, we made a living in Zeladis in any way we could. I for one was often seeking employment in brothels. You would be amazed what one can learn in places like that, other than how to seduce any man, or woman, who passes by. Why, one man was so taken with me, for whatever strange reason, that he asked me to run away with him to his palace. I said I couldn't sadly, I was but human, and needed to care for my family with my parents, he was a vampire noble, how could I abandon them, how could I be with him when he was going to outlive me. He was shockingly understanding, but he became a regular customer after that, and while he paid me more than enough to support my family, he also began to teach me magic, the dark magics of necromancy. I think he might have genuinely had some affection for me. Odd, but I certainly accepted it.

He kept on teaching me after each of our... sessions together, and constantly kept prodding me to live with him, he promised it would be a secret arrangement, that no other nobles would no, as it could put me in danger. Eventually, my parents were killed in the backstreets, and my siblings went their own ways, so I had no reason to refuse his offer any longer. I went with him, and as he promised, the arrangement was secret, almost. The monarchy knew of me, and that is why I am in the games. They decide to find out what kind of human could possibly entice a vampire in such a way, without even being turned, and what powers she could possibly possess.
