Reflection Solo The Mark of your Lost Clans sigil somewhere on your body, burning a deep red.[x]During a bit of down time traveling between areas, Ralifa felt a strange burning sensation on her hip. It was only a little painful but it was enough to cause her a little bit of alarm. What was happening? Was she dieing or something even more horrible?
She twisted this way and that as the warmth spread, but soon the burning feeling subsided. Her heart's pulsing slowing. Where she had felt it there was a mark. But not any familiar kind of mark. Wait....hadn't she seen this somewhere? Ralifa scratched her head. Where, where, where had she seen it?
Drawing a blank, she wondered if anyone else had gotten this mark. Or if perhaps she was the only one. Perhaps it was a special mark from the Goddesses. Were they marking her for ascension or slaughter? The later of that thought made her nervous. She really didn't enjoy pain, or dyeing. Not one bit.
Licking her thumb, she rubbed at the mark on her hip. A test to see if it was permanent or no. Apparently it was. Burned into her skin, now it merely tingled and would probably soon be forgotten. It didn't bother her so she wasn't too worried about it for now. Unless in the end it proved to be something bad.
As she moved along towards the Spires once more she pondered everything that had happened so far. She had a hard time remembering certain bits but for the most part everything had been fairly pleasant. She was given tasks and she had successfully completed them. Although the smaller tasks were a bit trickier than the ones that came directly from her Goddesses, still she enjoyed a good challenge. And she had met some pretty nice and interesting squiggles along the way.
Though she supposed they all weren't quite all that squiggly anymore. Ralifa had certainly noticed changes in herself and minor changes in others. Everyone began to gain their own differences in appearance and different personalities were sprouting through. Even about herself. And this new mark on her was proof of that, at least in the physical sense. Emotionally she didn't feel hollow like before. As if there was nothing, now there was something.
She enjoyed this feeling and hoped it never went away.
Although this whole fear and screaming thing was getting a little tiring. Most of the time though it was all just in her head.At least a good portion had been taken away by the Goddesses, otherwise she might have been a lot more traumatized now than she was, which honestly was not very traumatized at all.
For now.
