Nicknames: Truths, Truthie

Personality: Hard Truths is a cranky, cantankerous curmudgeon. He is blunt and rude with everyone (though this may change as he ages and starts to like girls), acts condescending, and likes to be a know-it-all. He is very brutal with honesty (to the point of being cruel) and does not mince words. This phony seems to relish in others' disappointment and despair and it seems to be his goal to get them down to his grumpy, cranky mood.

He absolutely despises 'sunshine' personality phonies. Extremely cynical and negative, he sticks with what is practical and logical and will not use his magic unless he has a very good reason to or someone challenges him. He takes his dignity and pride very seriously. He also pretends not to give a damn about the world and what they think of him. (Key word: 'pretends'.)

Likes: Words, intelligence, respect, being independent, honesty, coffee

Dislikes: Happy-go-lucky phonies, stupidity, shallowness, dishonesty, sweet things, being touched (especially by the unhygienic)

Purpose: To (help others) deliver the complete and utter truth, facts, and his honest opinion (all the same in his mind) to phonies whether they want to hear it and like him for it or not. He tells others what he thinks they need to hear as opposed to what they want to hear and he can say the difficult things that no one else will say. Briefly put, his purpose in life has something to do with getting others to speak the truth, especially when it's hard.

Nicknames: Swing, Swinger?

Personality: A gentle and calm soul, Smooth Swing likes watching his father's games, but he never really found the same self-expression in the sport of baseball as he did in music like his mother. He also doesn't like to get his hooves dirty if he doesn't have to and enjoys singing simply for the sake of singing rather than having all the stress and pressure of teammates and fans depending on him to win a game. Though Swinger knows more about baseball than the average phony and will occasionally play to help his siblings practice or simply to enjoy time with his dad, he can't ever see himself playing the sport professionally.

Swinger is not a competitive sort and does his best to make way for the more ambitious of his brothers and sisters, supporting them in what they do. He also hates conflict and avoids it at all costs, preferring that everyone be harmonious and at peace with each other, so he's often a conflict-solver and a mediator when it comes to sibling fights. However, that does not mean he's a total pushover or is without his own pride; if you cross a line or defy him in something he feels strongly about, he will fight for his values with every ounce of his being.

Likes: Watching baseball games (without a huge crowd), helping coach his siblings in both singing and baseball, helping his siblings practice, supporting his family in their endeavors, solving problems, relaxing in calm settings, clear nights, singing softly, humming

Dislikes: Competition, confrontation, conflict, pressure, stress, lots of excitement, yelling, loud noises, dirt (since he's white/pale and easy to get dirty), being made fun of about his stitch markings

Purpose: As a jack-of-all-trades but master of none, I think Swinger will be content to 'swing' from one hobby to another, but won't ever be a master of any of them. He'll understand enough to learn how whatever it is works, but his real talent will lie in teaching/coaching/helping others in whatever it is and supporting/encouraging them to pursue their passions. I imagine he'd start with his family's skills and branch out from there.

Some things I can see him learning and teaching others are batting coach, golf swing coach, singing (swing? XD) coach, (swing music?) instrument-playing, (swing?) dancing), and maybe flying once he learns to get over the insecurity of his markings. He might later branch out to a full baseball coach (instead of just a batting coach) and perhaps some other things as he learns more from other phonies, but the key will be that he'll never be good at them himself. He'll just learn how said things work so that he can teach others the mechanics of it and help them with whatever it is they want to do. How does that sound? Opinions?

I appreciate you taking the time to post here! Ahhh, this just makes waiting for him to grow into a babby so much harder...

Haha, aww. xd Poor thing. I think I can actually relate to her. I have an obsession with Peter Pan, you see. But that really does sound great! I wonder if Hard Truths might have to learn a thing or two from her about having fun and being a foal since he's likely to act all uppity and grown-up from the start.
