A large area idea for practicing one's Bukijutsu as the Hidden Mist is hailed for their expertise in swordplay. Fine refurbished wooden floors said to be crafted by a senju and a small arena in the center. Practice dummies made of tough material that resemble the human body are provided to assist. Unfortunately, to prevent theft swords must be bought at the market to use here. Otherwise, only wooden swords are present as well as wooden ninja tools. Those who wish to hone their skills in the ways of the sword come here.

Imogen tip-toed into the dojo and seeing that no one else was inside, she breathed a sigh of relief and her step became more sure. Looking about thoughtfully, she saw a line of dummies and smiled t herself. This place seemed to be perfect for her intentions.

She wanted to improve herself while sh was waiting to join a team as genin. Imogen knew that even though her experience and natural intelligence was an advantage she had, she also knew that if she did not develop her other skills to at least an average level, that intelligence would serve her and her future team only so far.

So she had taken it upon herself to find a nice, quiet place to practice and, perhaps even get her mind off of a few things that had been bothering her for awhile now.

Taking up a stance, Imogen stood stock still and focused upon the air floating about her, about the air about her flowing and feeding her body and the bodies of all other living things in the room from the smallest microbes to the slowed biological functions still present in the wood of the building even though the trees it was made out of had been cut down long ago.

Feeling the sort caress of the element that engulfed all of the world, Imogen always felt empowered, lifted, even comforted. It was as if she had platoons of the world at her beck and call and she felt one with one of the underlying forces of Nature quite literally. It was a humbling feeling and a gratifying one as well.

Focusing more, she could follow the flow of the air over objects in the room. Almost feel them now, their size, their shape, their positions, these were all coming back to her. Reaching out a bit more with her chakra, Imogen now began infusing her chakra with the molecules of air with a distinct goal in mind.

With her chakra now infused with the air, Imogen now moved, mentally at least, to strengthen her hold of this element and to try and put her will over it. Rather, the goal was not so much as to overpower it, as there was no doing that to something as powerful a an element of Nature, but to coax her own want into the entity.

She did so by planting the idea, for lack of any better way to describe it, of wanting to 'clump up' into the molecules of air. This resulted in three balls of agglomerated air packets, like small water balloons with no balloons and air instead of water.

Floating these packets over to where one dummy was standing, Imogen maneuvered them into position a bit slowly, more slowly than she would have had time for on the battlefield, she knew. But that was practice. The first step was understanding the jutsu and getting it done. Speed came out of necessity and repetition.

With the pockets of highly compressed air now planted in position around the dummy in the dojo, Imogen paused, gathering her energy. New jutsu always had this toll on her. Not so much because of the chakra toll, though that could also be considerable, but because she liked to get things as perfect and as detailed as she could while learning a justu so that when she was out on a battlefield she would not have to pay that any more mind and simply let it come naturally, her mind then being intent on the enemy at hand.

Feeling that she had gotten most of the nuances of the jutsu under hand and that she now had a feel of it, Imogen let the jutsu unfolding full and the pockets of air basically imploded, shattering the dummy as the shock waves of the unfurling, formerly highly compressed air pockets crashed into its structure from an encircling of three directions.

Please, Imogen stood, relaxed for a moment, wondering how to continue.

Walking into the dojo, Luo decided he'd use the extra time he had after completing his mission early to get a good run in for the morning. It was approaching noon in an hour, and he didn't want to waste any part of his day. As he walked in, he went straight over to the weight racks. Pulling off a set of twenty pound ankle weights, and twenty pound wrist weights, he placed them on. Nodding to the kunoichi in the room, he continued with his own exercise, jogging in place for three minutes to get warmed up. The weights were what he usually trained with, although today he had time for a more elongated workout. After getting his blood pumping, he began a series of leg and arm stretches, even stretching his torso as well. He seemed to have reached a roadblock lately as far as his speed was concerned, and he wanted to go past that limit. So he decided today, he'd break that streak and get through that threshold.

His decision that day to accomplish his goal, was a sprint around the dojo, going all the way to the top floor, and then back down twenty times as fast as he could. The first five rounds were a breeze for the boy, which in itself was a feat. Most genin didn't have the endurance, but for Luo it was natural. The next five were where Luo began to wish he had set a slower pace. Still however, he persevered. It was usually around the ninth round that he began to cap out as far as endurance went, however he'd made it to eleven rounds before. Soon enough, he hit the ten mark for the sprint. He tried his best to control his breathing, making sure to try and optimize his oxygen intake during the run. He began to sweat profusely by lap thirteen, although he was absolutely ecstatic. "I did it, I surpassed my limit! I broke my training curse streak!" The thought in his mind only urged him on more, wanting to push himself even further than that.

After thirty minutes, Luo hit the sixteen mark. He was now completely drenched in sweat, although still he moved at the same pace. His calves burned terribly, and he wondered why he hadn't just picked up the ten pound weights instead. Just as quickly as the though came however, it left. Luo knew why already, it was just who he was. If training wasn't torture, then it wasn't fun. Well, at least for him. Sure there were training exercises he found to be particularly fun, however he was usually more brutal with himself than he allowed others to be. Perhaps a reason why the Mizukage mentioned hearing about him previously. So instead, Luo focused on that thought alone. It was his training that got the head of the village to take notice of him before even meeting him. If that was the case, he could push himself further. As the man said, he had great expectations for both himself as well as Zane. And if they were going to prove their ambitions for the future, they would have to work hard. Luo of course, was more than willing to oblige

As Luo entered lap seventeen, his calves no longer simply burned, they felt as if someone had taken a hot rod of steel and branded him with it. He was now gritting his teeth as he ran, continuing to keep the pace he had set for himself since the first step. It was a grueling task, and the only thing that kept him going were his goals for years to come. He kept images of himself standing with one of the seven legendary swords in his hand next to his friend wearing a Hunter-nin mask and kept pushing, the image seeming to dull the pain. As he descended the staircase to begin the eighteenth lap, he kept his grace of movement in line. The boy of all things, was a well coordinated individual. Part natural reflexive ability, and part agility training, he was never one to not be able to land safely or parry an attack. So it was no surprise that although the running itself was grueling, coordinating his body to be as optimal at doing it as possible was within his territory. In fact, it was more than likely the reason the boy could still continue to run at all.

Sliding to a halt on the bottom floor of the dojo, Luo pushed off once more to begin the eighteenth lap. He seemed to be wheezing more than he was actually breathing in a controlled manner, something that just as well affected how he was running. He tried to place himself in another place entirely mentally, his runners high seeming to dwindle at the current time. He heard that some were able to meditate while running, freeing themselves of the limitations of their own bodies. Luo willed for that, however he knew it was something as young as he was he simply couldn't accomplish. Instead he longed for the next best thing, being able to consciously place himself elsewhere mentally if only to allow himself to run for longer. Oddly enough, if anything concentrating on this task did in fact help him finish the eighteenth leg of the training module, something he found surprising.

At the nineteenth leg, he felt himself coming in and out of where he was. By now, he was moving by muscle memory alone, able to tell how many stairs each staircase had, where to turn, etc. He tried desperately to place himself somewhere other than that dojo mentally, if only in efforts to ignore the pain. At last, it clicked it seemed. Without realizing it, the next to laps went by quickly. His pain was soothed if only in his own mind, and his mind allowed him to excel though the twentieth lap. Sliding to his final halt, he couldn't help but crumble onto the ground panting. He had finally done what he had set out to do for the past three months, break through that physical barrier which kept him from beating his old record. Slowly, he removed the wrist weights first, then the ankle ones and laid down on the cool tatami mats for a bit. After ten minutes of that, he began a series of cooldown stretches before hanging up the weights and walking out eagerly for a soak at the hot springs.

"This is Kirigakure's dojo...I'm pretty much useless in this place," Zane stated as he opened the door and headed inside. The walls were littered with all sorts of weapons from all over the world. Of course, Zane wouldn't benefit from any training here. He wasn't especially good at weapons. His forte was the ability to wield two elements and of course his rather unique hyoton bloodline. Nothing out of the ordinary was happening inside the building, so Zane walked out and climbed the rooftop. After deciding that there wasn't suspicious activity here either, Zane decided to take off once again. This mission was extremely boring, but at least it was an easy mission.

After taking a breather, and ignoring the newcomers, Imogen took up one of the time-honored stances of a warrior showing respect for her opponent, then dropped into a formation with her right leg bracing her from behind.

The next technique she had decided upon learning was one which would greatly complement her natural speed and flexibility. This justu was also futon in nature just like the one she had done before. Imogen had decided that she would make the most of her wind nature, this elemental attribute being one of the best suited for quick and intense fights.

While the jutsu she had learnt before was one which was more long-range, this one could be better put to use in close quarters, a situation someone as petite as she was would do better to avoid, as most opponents would be larger and heavier than she was and have the advantage in such a fight.

Taking a succession of deep breaths, Imogen focused on how her ribs and lungs expanded and contracted, on how the air felt as it moved in and out of her windpipe and out of her sinus.

Feeling the gusts of air flowing in and out of her system, Imogen turned her senses even more inward and onto these trails of the gaseous substance that were oh, so important for Life.

As with the jutsu she tried before, she envisioned the minuscule particles that made up this fluid material and began pouring chakra into it, feeding it as if it were a hydra with an insatiable appetite.

This took a bit of time, as she had to focus not only on the breathing rhythm, but also on not allowing too much of the infused air to escape, or she would loose the 'charged' air that would constitute her new jutsu.

This was easier said than done.

She had not yet gotten a hand of how to infuse enough chakra for the jutsu into the air that was moving in her lungs, especially not fast enough before she had to exhale, thereby loosing the air.

It was rather annoying, which was a danger in itself, as if she became annoyed, she would loose her concentration and make the task that much harder to complete.

Upon walking into the dojo Kyo unlatched the sword from his back, knowing that Judau was walking into the dojo. With one casual sweep he tossed the blade a bit higher into the air and towards the entrance, A bit confident that even tho a hair tipsy Judau would be able to grab it. First training he would need to get a hold of is getting used to the weight of a blade like such while doing anything else.

Techniques used
NA

Passive Abilities

Two-Handed Finesse: Accustomization
Description: The practitioner experiments with the distance needed to properly grip and swing their weapon. Although it seems idiotically fundamental, this is an extremely important step towards becoming a seasoned great-swordsman. Finding proper handling allows the practitioner to swing their weapon with more accuracy and power, while creating as little opening as possible in their own defenses.

Two-Handed Finesse: Adjustability
Description: The practitioner should now have an understanding of some of the basic footwork of Fuu no Odachi, and is beginning to comprehend the necessity of strong steps in addition to strong attacks. However, these steps must be used in more ways than simple offenses. One cannot survive if all they can do is hope to keep their opponent at bay. This training is meant as a means for the practitioner to develop their own method of side-stepping and other such evasive maneuvers, while still swinging around their weapons.

Two-Handed Finesse: Dominance
Description: The practitioner has, at this point, become so involved with his/her training that they have not even realized how big a difference has developed since the first time they picked up their weapon. With a little bit of adaption, they will now be able to wield their weapon with one hand, and be capable of performing almost every technique within this style thusly. ( Unless the technique specifies the need for both hands. )

Two-Handed Finesse: Expertise
Description: The practitioner will continue their efforts in one-handing weapons that are traditionally usable only with both hands. By again performing the techniques of Fuu no Odachi while using one hand, he/she should now realize that the power driven out as such is comparable to that of their previous two-handed state. From this point onward, the act of using both hands with their weapon is no longer a necessity, but a way to greatly increase the strength of their abilities. ( Unless the technique specifies the need for both hands. )

Oh, hey... Judau here.
So, um... Can ya listen to this?

Judau's head had grown conciderably lighter on the way to the dojo, even f he ended up almost triping on a loose rock on the road. That medant the alcohool was starting to fade away a bit, but he was still peach-colored. as he aproached the dojo's door, he heard a sword being unsealthed.. Sounded pretty long to boot. Seems like Kyosata was already getting ready before the genin entered. But turns out, he as getting ready to greet the genin with a flying sword to the face. Judau was caught off-guard yet grabbed the handle but the lack of footing made him take a few steps back to regain balance. With mumbled light cursing, Judau looked at what was at his hands a bit more caerfully. It was Kyosata's o-dachi. "Well um... Thanks. Guess you're lending it so i can train a bit on some techniques of the mist style, right?" With that, the genin entered the dojo, swinging the odachi a couple of times to get used to the sword. It was pretty heavy now that he actually tried to swing it around... Maybe not heavy per se, but it's length made it's center of gravity be way farther that Judau was used to.

Fancy feet and small-glasses guy were here, but he didn't need to pay them mind. The Jounin teacher couldn't really help him regardless, he was just here to supervise and ensure his method was correct; ensure that he wouldn't be sent to the hospital because of some screw-up. "Takahara, presenting. I'll be learning the honshi art. I figure it's a good thing I'm here anyway; genin have a habit of hurting themselves when they train. Baldy might need some magic finger powder like last time." He spoke almost as if he weren't a genin. The condescending mannerism was just his way of being playful, as bizarre as that sounded. His group of friends didn't thrive from kind words and appreciation, they were always trying to poke fun at each other. That didn't really matter here, though. It was a far different environment than his little group of friends. People were suspicious and tight-knit, and they all seemed like adjudicators, goody-goodies and sycophants.

A whole heap of boring people who just wanted to have their kumbayah and encircle each other forever. Takahara had no interest in such a stale way of life. In his mind, it stunted growth. Mikoto, Ping and Yuusuke spent their whole lives being community-driven and social, and they combined probably wouldn't be able to take Takahara down. Strength was built through many bricks, talent, ideology, dedication, willpower. Takahara wanted to own heaps of each brick, and shape himself into the perfect shinobi. He could make time for a social life and friends after he'd already become a facet to admire.

But, enough of justifying his outlook. He'd come here to train, not worry about being scrutinized. The honshi art was a very useful style for someone of his build, granting him physical capability and a variety of weapons, to put his medical class enhanced accuracy to use. The first technique was definitely not impressive though. He uh... threw something in an identical trajectory to a regular throwing motion, but with a different motion. Definitely wouldn't be useful with his fighting style, but it was essential, so he did it. Takahara held his kunai in some weird sub-methodical manner, then threw it at a target. It hit, and even hit the bull's eye. [Dart Learned]

The next three jutsu sort of felt pointless. They were just... throwing. You just threw a few shuriken, and that was it. Big whoop. Yeah, it was pretty apparent that this style blew wang until way later down the road. Whatever. Until he got out of the wang blowing and into the climax, he'd just have to soldier through and learn all of these useless skills. Takahara grabbed some kunai, placed 'em between his fingers, waved his hand outward and bam, two fired. [Pair Learned]

The next technique made him ultimately question the simple existence of pair, considering it was basically the same thing but better and there was really no drawback. But it was okay. Small steps, riiiight? Gosh, fourth wall breaking here, but I'm such a sarcastic d**k in my training posts. Lol. Anyway, sarcastic dickbaggery aside, he performed a similar motion as with pair, except this time... here's the kicker. There was ONE MORE kunai! It might've sounded impossibru, maybe dishonoring le famiri, but it was indeed possibru to do without bring dishonor. This was essential to avoid seppuku. [Three of a Kind Learned WITHOUT Seppuku]

Next technique. For every useless technique, a great man once said, there are ten useless people preaching its greatness. It didn't apply at all to this situation, however. He doubted anyone was too enthralled by the untapped power of Twin Aces, a technique most certainly incapable of killing anything more than cripples and small children. It was okay, though. It was all necessary in order to avoid the calamity that the mist people had worked so hard to keep at bay. Precedence, right? If Je once again descended from Ephon Noha to Tahai Aze, then seppuku would be done in masses. Anyway, he performed the exact same motion as with pair, except -- here's the kicker. He added chakra. emotion_awesome [Twin Aces Learned]

Calling Cord was actually useful. Finally! It seemed complicated, though. Moreso than the other techniques. Attach a cord to the weapons and then like, manipulate them. Pull them back or something. It would probably be helpful somewhere along the line, but in rare situations. He first worked to add the threads to each projectile, then make them individually stealthy. Then, after throwing the projectiles (shuriken in this case), he pulled them back as if making a second strike, this time from behind. Useful, but not drastically so. [Calling Cord Learned, Finished Stage 2]

                                      xxBlack Leg: Stage 2

It's time for some soulless, dull, thoughtless training. Rather than thinking this style through, Takahara would just do it, little inhibition or calculation. The Black Leg style was simple, literally and when spoken. All of the techniques, except for a few in the later stages, were movements; they didn't require chakra. It was bizarre, then, that it emphasized chakra control. Oh, whoops. Thinking too much again, right. The first technique was 'triple assault', a simple move for a shinobi. You backflip to the opponent, then using the momentum in your hands, push several kicks into the opponent's face. Takahara started with the backflips, which was probably the easy part; all shinobi could do something like that, save for maybe Akimichi. The hard part was using the momentum to not only kick once, but several times. It also seemed pretty risky, considering your vision of them would be impaired. He definitely wouldn't use this against a fast or otherwise unpredictable opponent. Either way, he managed to pull it off with successive attempts and overall zeal. [Triple Assault learned]

The next ability seemed similar to the triple assault, honestly. It was the same premise of uppercutting with your legs, from a lower point. Takahara performed the face scorcher on a training dummy, then, landing on his hands, sprung upward to smash the dummy in the face once more. His method was decent, but not perfect, and he lost his balance after the first kick. So, he got up to try and do it again. This time, he at least attempted to calculate where and how he should land, to ensure that he was successful. It seemed safer and smarter to land some distance away from the opponent's legs, or they could sweep you and get an advantage. Plus, the balance would be better that way. With this in mind, he performed the jump, smashed down on the dummies face, and successfully flipped backward to rebound. Good enough, apparently. [Flying Spring Shot learned]

Higure entered the Dojo shortly after Kyo, Judau and Takahara. The Senju went off to train separately while Judau was swinging the Odachi that belonged to Kyo. The Mizukage smirked as he walked over to the practice sword rack and took two wooden swords. "Hey Kyo! How about that spar, for old times sake? No holding back this time, for either of us." At that moment, an Anbu operative appeared beside the Mizukage, whispering something to him. "So? Let them in! If they become unruly, ask them to leave, simple as that." With that, the Anbu left, returning to the gate.

Bui entered the dojo looking around. He didn't see what he was looking for right away but after a few moments he saw the Mizukage speaking with another man. Bui slowly approached with his hands in his pockets his new headband shimmering slightly in the faint glow of the dojo lights. "Lord Mizukage, if I may speak to you for a moment?" It seemed that Bui had once again arrived with impeccable timing. "Its about this new sensei you've proposed." Bui looked toward the man with which the Mizukage had been speaking. "Sorry for the interruption this is vaguely important." turning back to the Mizukage. "I don't think this sensei would suit my... needs." Bui cracked his neck. "I mean, i'd rather be with a sensei I am comfortable with. This man seems too cocky." Bui waited for a response.
