You seem to be lost. It doesn't matter if you came from Halloween or the Human World. Insanity looked the same to anyone of any faction: it was a thick fog. But there was something inherently wrong about it. It was thick, thin, and seemed to move and whisper as if it was animate and had a life of its own. But it didn't do those things. It was just fog. Right?
You aren't too sure. You can't see too far in front of you, and what you can see looks the same no matter which direction you go: thick fog closes around you on all sides above a dark gray ground made out of hard-packed dirt. Or is it stone? You can't quite remember which it is, nor which it should be.
Occasionally, you can hear someone else in the fog. Try as you might, no matter how long you follow the sounds you can't find them...
OOC
WELCOME TO THE DUNGEON FINDER REDUX: INVERTED FOG STYLE
gaia_crown[ [ How does this work? ] :
Players that are not currently in a battle thread (or its fine if they are as long as you establish a timeline of when this happens), who are feeling a little brave or a little lost really, are free to rp here. This serves as an orp and GM established LFG thread combined. Imagine this rp as a DIRECT continuation of the first prompt here, save for the fact that you're wandering around and haven't stepped on anything suspicious yet.
HOWEVER.
Posting with your character(s) - as many as you'd like and own - here means you are willing to place your characters posted into random groups with other players. This will happen ICLY through gm prompts. A GM (most likely an admin) will quote several players, as the fog rises and shifts - and these players may find themselves stranded with each other. - Make sure to post in OOC in EACH OF YOUR POSTS: your character's name, their faction, a small description of them, and the year they are in (as there is no battle allowed in this thread, don't worry about HP values/ attack etc)
gaia_crown[ [ The GM has quoted me, what do I do? ] :
- IF a GM has quoted you, they will leave OOC instructions as to where to go, by making a NEW IHH THREAD for your group. This is a RANDOM group. Think of it as several random players lost in the fog that unfortunately happen to stumble upon each other! They could be of the same faction, they could be of different factions.
- Move to the thread the GM prompts you to, start the rp there. React to RPs from other players. Basically the only thing the GM has done is SET UP AN RP THREAD (interaction thread) for you with RANDOM PLAYERS. Enjoy!
gaia_crown[ [ The GM has pmed me, what do I do? ] :
- Posting in this thread MAY prompt a PM from a GM! This may lead to something a little more grim, a sort of unhappy ending for your character, as the fog whispers to them.. and perhaps consumes them whole....
- If this happens to your character, you will be instructed in pms as to what to do, though you may also be directed to a thread!
gaia_crown[ [ I have posted a post here but the GM has not quoted me! ] :
- Relax! It will take some time to assemble and form groups. In the meanwhile, continue to rp in this thread. Feel free to interact with anyone else wandering around even in this thread, whether it be hostile tension or simple a passing comment - the fog is rather thick so you may see someone one moment and they may be buried in the white the next!
- No PVP in this orp for now please, but unlimited rp posts and reactions! If you have been quoted by a GM please EXIT the thread immediately and rp in that thread. Once again this is an orp not a place to post OOC findings (use the other thread for that!)
- If you already have been quoted by a GM/ selected, please FINISH your quoted rp or wait an OOC 24 hours before posting back with that specific character.
- Special events (IC) may also happen in this thread, who knows.... maybe someone is watching them.. .
gaia_crown[ [ I already posted in the other looking for group thread/ I have a group! ] :
- That's fine you can still post and rp here! The other LFG thread is more a fast and dirty way for groups to assemble together without GM intervention or if people are looking for a specific character etc etc. This one is a full team that a GM will help assemble for you with a small twist.
- If you already have a battle thread you can still post here, just make sure you have your timelines sorted out. Of course you can also post with all other characters as well!
gaia_crown[ [ Can I request it to be a PRP/ORP? ] :
- All threads will be PRPs unless you specifically ask for an ORP! Then we'll be more than happy to turn it into an ORP for you. Keep in mind that while we're making these for you, you may NOT change the title of the thread. So if everyone abandons the thread you can easily come back to it and set yourself up for SOLOing as long as you don't mind the chance that the previous RPers may come back too!

Waking up was confusion. Yin did not know where he was or how he had gotten there. Fog, yes, but inside a building it seemed. For a long moment he simply tried to get his bearings, and then it began to flood back. For one...that he was no longer gray. That seemed the most important, that and the absence of the drive to go home.
Then the guilt was back something he had dealt with once before, but it did not get better. Beheading a ghoul. Attacking Miss Danny, Miss Xiu-Ying, Frost. About to attack Alexander. Convincing Alexander to kill him when he had not seemed to truly want to.
Unforgivable.
Something crunched under his foot and he looked down to see what looked like the crushed remnants of a vial...somewhat like the one Alexander had thrown on him. Was this all temporary too then? Just...a brief respite before the insanity once again consumed him?
He just did not want to think about it anymore, but the memories were worse than the whisperings of home. The memories...those were all too real.

To be frank, Zhiqiang was getting tired of all this fog. It had caused him enough trouble before, but at least at that point, he had managed to find a friend--and then a group--to accompany through this thick fog. Unfortunately, he was not so lucky this time around. The horseman had eventually somehow found himself separated from his group, and now he was...
...Well, here. Wherever "here" was.
However, with no one around to watch him, the Conquest horseman seemed, ironically enough, a lot more serious and put together than he usually did. Dark eyes narrowed, he trudged his way through the fog warily, picking a random direction. His fingers were curled tightly around his summoned bow as he ventured deeper into the fog, searching for...something. A friend, an enemy--at this point in time, either would suffice. At the very least, he hoped that he would not spend much of him time wandering aimlessly in this fog, as he had spent the past few minutes already doing.

Jason had no idea how he had gotten himself here. One moment he was fighting off a giant dog, next he had been grabbed by..something. And now he found himself here.
By himself
In the fog
Sitting himself up with a grimace, his gloved hand strayed to the floor and found the remnants of broken glass. Used for what, he had no idea. Maybe he had been thrown through a glass window? Whatever had happened he didn't' seem to be injured at the very least, which was one good thing. And he could still feel Zanthvos in his mind so he wasn't completely by himself.
But now he would have the fabulous time of trying to find a way out of here. Which seemed impossible considering everything looked the same.
Shuddering, the moon trainee brought his coat closer around himself and began to walk. If he kept walking, he was bound to run into something, right?

Consciousness occurred suddenly with a jerk and a sharply indrawn breath, as though something had shocked Taima awake rather than allowing her to come to awareness gradually. She quickly sat up from her sprawled-out position on the floor, twisting and turning as she took stock of her new surroundings. She seemed to be alone now--at least, she didn't see Sparrow anywhere--in a room thick with fog. It was eerily quiet, the only sound in the room made by Taima herself as she stood and took a few steps forward. The sound of her footsteps wasn't amplified by the size of the room; rather, they seemed to be muffled in spite of it.
Another step brought with it the delicate crackling of breaking glass. Taima crouched down to see what she had broken, finding what appeared to be a bottle that had held some kind of liquid. She didn't linger too long over it--no use crying over spilled whatever-it-was. Besides, whatever lurked beyond this empty, silent room appealed to her curiosity. She put the broken bottle out of her mind as she wandered deeper into the fog.
There is something about the fog that gives you reason to watch it. It seems harmless enough by itself. And yet you could swear, out of the corner of your eye... No, it must be your imagination.
What isn't your imagination are the long, wispy fingers that grab onto you and begin to tug, pull, and push you in a certain direction. Where are they guiding you? It's anybody's guess, and the fog isn't taking "no" for an answer. It looks as if, for now, you're going to have to go along for the ride.
One minute, the hunter had been in basecamp, safe from the insanity that ran rampant among the halloween creatures and the next...
He woke with a start. The cold seeped instantly and had him tucking Chama closer to his body as he stood up.
Yeah...the fog seemed to move, shift, shape, change, melt...thick thin, nothing there. Dakota shuddered.
"The least it could do is shift into some hot babe or something. I could work with that..." The moon hunter sighed and started walking. Nothing but fog though...how long had he walked?
He heard voices but...no one? Just where...No...He needed someone. Anyone...
So it seemed he was a smidge lost. Should TK have gone into the fog? Probably not, but he had been curious, still was. He tentatively stretched his hand out into the mist that swirled constantly. His eyes narrowed at the fog. TK brought his hand down and continued through the thick mist. Occasionally he heard a voice or two, but for the most part was too vague or brief for him to follow.
The newest voice, though, sounded loud enough. Lips pressed together, the student followed the source until he found…well, he didn’t know what he found, but the person didn’t look like a student. TK studied the hunter curiously, but made no movement nor sound.
Jeremy was...well, it was easier to say he was simply 'lost'. Sure he was split up from his group, disoriented as hell and somehow quite cold despite the sweater he wore under his jacket, but it was still much easier to just be 'lost'. Elsie - his weapon - was unsummoned due to her being totally lacking in the 'transporting with ease' field, but the Trainee himself was still quite on his guard.
Apparently getting attacked by giant grey hissing mantis things would do that to you.
Soon enough something caught his attention; a voice in the distance. Part of him wanted to call out, but every survival instinct he had screamed at him to stay quiet; you didn't know what was out there after all, and he was pretty sure his muscles were still somewhat atrophied due to excessive pod time.
So he also made his way through the fog, trying to find the source and...somewhat failing, actually.

The thick fog made it impossible to find anybody. Hear them, yes. But visually see them? No.
It was unfortunate for TK then, who stumbled across someone that was neither student nor hunter nor horseman.
In was also unfortunate that TK startled the witch for Dakota and Jeremy, as tentacles wrapped around each hunter and dragged them along with TK into the fog!
Shine was shaking when she arrived on the other end of...whatever it was that just happened. Her clawed fingers flexed skeptically as she tried to make sense of what was happening. She'd been hugging that bright ghoul, and things were getting so foggy, her clarity slipping away, and brief confusion and chaos, and now she was here.
She kind of missed the feeling of her arms around the ghoul. Hugs were so nice.
Sniffling, she clutched her shoulders, effectively hugging herself. It wasn't quite the same.
The fog seemed to be thicker here than the place she'd just come from if, in fact, they were not the same places at all. Something felt just slightly more sinister here, the voices still hiding in the depths rather than approaching with needy hands and desperate mouths. Rubbing her arms, she rocked back and forth on her heels, hoping that one of the others might find her. She didn't want to wander around. She hated walking in the fog with nowhere to go. It always seemed to get the better of her.
The fog had suddenly grown thicker, and the next thing Aymet knew there was nothing in sight. Just fog, and the occasional far-off voice whispering. Everything in a small radius around him was tinted a deathly blue from the glow of his phylactery and crystals refracting through the fog.
The dracolich pressed on anyway. His friends were lost, but the distortion crystal at his wrist provided the confidence he didn't have. He'd find them all, bring them back, and whoever was responsible would pay.
Logically, Mimsy knew how drastically her chances of survival dropped if she separated from the group (in this situation, said survival percentage hovered somewhere around 27.4%). But not everyone was so keen on moving slowly and waiting for her to take samples, and even if they had been, the fog was terribly adamant on separating them.
New calculations including the fog variable were more comfortable around 19.7%.
She tried not to think about it, in spite of Svensyl's singsong reminders, and continued collecting scrapings of anything that seemed useful to her.
In spite of her best efforts, both Svensyl and something else nagged at the far corners of her mind. The whispers dancing around her didn't seem to belong to anyone that she could see through the fog, and she somehow doubted that she'd even be able to see them even if it cleared. It had no basis in any factual world she knew, but...what if the fog was whispering?
Frowning, she tried to bottle up some of the fog in one of her thin vials. It coiled around it and played tricks with her eyes, and Mimsy sat down for a moment, feeling dizzy.
