The hands cease their pushing and pulling, bringing four strangers together. "Ah, there you are! I have been expecting you," calls a voice. From the fog emerges a dapper gentleman dressed in a stylish black suit. He doffs his bowler cap to reveal two black horns as he bows. "Greetings and salutations! I have the perfect, once in a lifetime opportunity for each of you!" As he rises, his smile seems to freeze. "Well, as much as can be gotten on such short notice," he adds quickly, replacing his cap.
You then realize that the gentleman his hovering several feet off of the ground. He pulls out a briefcase from behind him, making to open it. The demon (for that must be what he is; what other sort of creature would have horns and dress in such a business-like fashion?) pauses before opening it, looking carefully from one to the other. "I have for each of you an offer of power," he begins, "Or I can sell you something that you may quite like to have."
"Now, then. Which would you like to hear more about? Power or the item?"

The fog pulled at him, tugging him and he followed. Maybe it was weak to do so with almost no resistance, but at the moment he had a hard time finding the will to fight. He simply followed it, waiting to see what would come of it. The group he found himself with was an assorted lot. A stressful lot. A hunter coat, something that already had him cringing away. If he was not mistaken...a horseman. A horseman and a hunter, this could be bad. The addition of a student and then the demon that appeared...it simply added to the confusion that he felt.
Opportunities. He knew not to trust those. He knew. The offer of power should have meant nothing. Power was not everything after all...but power was what he needed. He did not have money for any item, but that did not mean that he was going to just dive for an offer of power. An offer of information about it though...
For once someone was going to talk about what they were offering. It was a good change of pace. "You will have to prove your own power to offer me any," he said quietly. He did not require much, because it did not take that much to be stronger than him. But he needed some sign. He lashed out with a fist and the demon turned slightly, still getting a decent blow but the attack weakened. Then Yin felt his head being cuffed. Okay, he got the picture. He would behave himself and listen. "I would prefer to learn about what power you can offer." He could always refuse...right?
There was no choice but to allow himself to be tugged along. He was unable to do anything else until the hands had stopped, leaving him in the presence of three other individuals. When he looked over to see whom he was with, the moon trainee screamed.
No, really, he screamed. Screamed because he was in the presence of not only a horsemen, but a few halloween students too. he was out numbed and alone and dammit he wanted his mommy. Screw his manly pride he wanted his mommy god dammit.
Jason managed to stop screaming and looked, then nearly screamed again when he saw the two horns. Oh s**t, he was screwed. He was so screwed...
In between trembling, he managed to find out what the demon wanted. Either to sell him something, or to give him power.
His weapon suggested.
'then what should I do'
Jason just about burst into tears at that moment.

Despite his best attempts to shake off the intrusive hands, Zhiqiang found himself being tugged along, guided by the fog until he deposited in an area were three others were already standing. Had the hands dragged them here as well? He wouldn't be surprised. Before he could pay them much heed, however, another figure came into view...a strange man that seemed to be offering them a choice between something. Although he was clearly a little wary, Zhi couldn't deny the curiosity that brightened up his eyes at the word "item".
"...And what would this 'item' be, exactly?"
He then took the time to look over the others. Slowly, the horsemen let his gaze sweep over the other three figures, taking each of them in. Two of them were clearly Halloween citizens--Amityville students, no doubt--and then the third...
"Hunter."
The change in Zhi was almost immediate. He had kept himself a little tensed while conversing with the strange gentleman, but upon realizing he was in the presence of one of the humans that had destroyed his home (as they were all the same to him), Zhi bristled with hostility. His dark eyes narrowed as he brought his bow up and took aim, but he didn't let loose the arrow--not yet, anyways. "Why are the likes of you in a place like this?"

Taima had struggled against the misty hands that tried to pull her along until she realized how futile it was and grudgingly allowed them to lead her to their intended destination. She was surprised to find that it was one shared by another student, a Horseman, and a Hunter. She almost felt bad for the Hunter, until it started screaming like a little ghoul with a skinned knee. That part was actually pretty funny. Her smile at him was more like a baring of teeth, her wings flared and angled so that the "eyes" on her feathers seemed to glare at him.
Her attention was diverted to the demon that stepped out of the fog and addressed them. He seemed to be harmless enough, even if he was...floating? That was strange, but hardly a cause for concern. She took a long moment to consider her answer to the choice he offered. Power was tempting, but it tended to come at a more substantial cost than a few seeds; the stylized swirl burned into the skin covering her breastbone was a testament to that. "I'd like to know more about the item," she said.

The demon huffed angrily at Yin. "A demonstration of power would have been feasible, but not for the likes of you! There is no business between us, ruffian. Good day!"
The demon made a point of opening his briefcase only to slam it shut meaningfully, locking it with a quick snip-snap!
The crying hunter got little more than a dismissive sniff.
"The item is of utmost importance, of --" the demon seemed taken aback when the horseman turned his attention to the hunter. Possibly hurt, even.
At least until Taima spoke up. The thunderbird would soon feel some arms around her shoulder, steering her off to one side as the demon appeared behind her. "Well now, well now, well now! Here's a fine lass with a good head on your shoulders! I can't help but to notice that you're now in dangerous territory and I thought to myself, Self, there's some good people out there who could use your help! And naturally a demon like myself can't survive out here by myself either, see? So I've got a couple things I can interest you in, in exchange for just about nothing! Y'see, I just need a little bit of your Fear and in exchange I can give you an item that'll surely save your life! Why, just crushing this little thing will heal all your wounds that hopefully a lovely lady like yourself won't accumulate and you'll be as right as rain on a sunny day! Whaddya say?"
Having managed to anger the demon there was little use in talking to him. He knew what being dismissed felt like, and that was certainly it.
But there were other things to focus on. Like the fact that the hunter was screaming and looked like he was about to cry. It was a...rather nice change of pace. Still Yin did not trust him, it could easily all be a trap. He did not know the others really, the ghoul he thought he recognized and the horseman...well, at he least was not a hunter. But they were better than a hunter.
The one one the demon seemed interested in was the ghoul, and Yin just...kept his focus on the horseman and the hunter. Both unsettled him, but there was little he could do. Other than let his glance dart over to the ghoul. He was making her some sort of offer it seemed.

"No, it's not great" he muttered. Especially since he wasn't acting. But at least he wasn't being attacked.
This thought was quickly dismissed when a arrow was shoved into his face. With a yelp, he staggered backwards only to fall over his own to feet, staring up at the horsemen with frightened eyes. Out of the corner of his eye he also saw the women with black wings snarl at him, which resulted in further retreating back on his backside.
"U-um, I...I.." Jason thought about his options. He had not received any other orders thus far (nor had he had any contact with Desu ex but that was beside the point), so the original mission was still on. And there was no real reason to lie to them was there? Especially since he was at arrow point
"I-i-i-i-insanity source location!" He managed to stutter out.

The gentleman demon was all but forgotten now that Zhi was aware that there was a Hunter in his presence. Just as he was busy speaking to the female Halloween citizen, Zhi was busy “speaking” to Hunter, careful to keep his weapon pointed at him. He seemed like a rather skittish young man…but Zhi knew better than the let his guard down around anyone of his kind. ”The source of the insanity?” He echoed, brows furrowing, ”And just what do you Hunters plan to do with such information?”
Oh yes, no matter how much or how little he may know, Zhi intended on milking as much information from this guy as possible. Such information could possibly benefit the Amityville students as well, so he was relatively certain (or at least, hopeful) that neither of them would attempt to interrupt his interrogation.
When his gaze briefly flickered to the side, he made a note to keep an eye on the strange gentleman as well.

Taima started as the demon suddenly appeared behind her, but allowed herself to be led away from the small group. The others were close enough to intervene if the demon turned on them--if they would. They were all unknown variables, just as much as the demon was. The other student had already proven himself willing to fight, but the hunter seemed like he would be worse than useless in a crisis. The horseman, well, who knew whose side they were on at any given time?
The demon seemed fairly harmless, though, and Taima was willing to hear him out. He raised some good points, too. She hadn't exactly had the time or foreknowledge to plan for this trip to who-knows-where to do who-knows-what, and it didn't hurt to be prepared. She glanced over her shoulder, where the horseman was still threatening the hunter, who looked like he might die of fright if someone so much as said "boo." If all the demon wanted from her was a little Fear, that was okay with her--especially since it looked like it could be easily replaced. "That sounds fair," she said as she turned back to the demon. It was a small price to pay for so powerful a cure-all.

The demon reached out towards Taima, not quite touching her. She can feel something being taken from her... The demon raises a hand and seems to crush something in mid-air, twisting his palm around and offering a small circular object towards the thunderbird.
"It was a pleasure doing business with you," the demon says as he removed his cap, offering a bow to the ghoul. "As for the rest of you... Perhaps we will do business in the future; perhaps not." With a short spin, the demon disappears!

The demon gone and...Yin saw no reason to stay. Hunter. Horseman...no, he was done. He moved off slowly, making no sudden movements, until the fog began blocking his view of the others.
That was a very good question, and one that Jason did not know the answer to. The only thing he had been briefed on was finding it, and to be wary of the amity students whom may try to fight them.
"O-our mission was to locate and observe" he answered, gulping. "We weren't told to do anything else. The insanity is as much a danger to you as to us, so I can only assume we will try to stop it from getting worse."
He could see now that the demon had dissapeared, as well as one of the students. This made things more in his favor, but only just. It didn't stop the fact he still had a arrow in his face.

Taima's breath caught as the demon did something that tugged gently on her entire essence. It didn't hurt, it wasn't even uncomfortable, but it felt like an intrusion nonetheless. She took the offered pill and was too busy inspecting it to offer the demon a proper farewell, but she managed to get out a "Thank you" before he disappeared.
And then the mantis boil disappeared.
And then she was left alone with the horseman and the hunter. Not an ideal situation. While she'd side with the horseman if it came down to it, she didn't really want to have to deal with either of them. "As entertaining as I'm sure this is going to be," she said, looking from one to the other, "I don't really care enough to stay and watch. Be seeing you." Taima pocketed the pill and turned to walk back into the fog. She almost felt sorry for the hunter. Almost.
Stopping things from getting worse? The horseman emitted a sharp laugh at that, though there was no humour in his eyes. "How ironic, when all you've done thus far is make things worse, for both us and yourself." Still, he slowly--and very grudgingly--lowered his bow, gaze briefly flickering to each of the students as they departed. It didn't worry him in the least that he was alone now--frankly, he had confidence that he would be able to overpower the Hunter himself--but there were more important matters to attend to right now.
Besides, assuming that his fear wasn't a facade, this guy was probably useless on the information front. The fact that Zhi had learned that there were Hunters patrolling this area was information enough. For now, anyways.
Scowling, Zhi took a few steps back, his dark eyes focused on Jason even as he began to distance himself in preparation to leave. "We'll run into one another again, I'm sure. Do watch yourself, little Hunter."
With his bow still summoned and in hand, the conquest horseman turned and disappeared into the fog.
