Significance of Markings: Loosely inspired by my anju original creature - with creepy shadow and eye markings.
Personality: Akumu is a darker Maneki Neko, with an affinity for night and giving others a start. He enjoys hunting small animals and birds and playing pranks. His favorite prank is to sneak up next to a sleeping person and lay down beside them, using his aura to influence their dreams.

Significance of Markings:
Personality: Despite his unusual characteristics, Ethan is a friendly neko eager to make friends. Sometimes, a little TOO eager. He's earnest and impressionable and will do just about anything to try to impress people. He doesn’t want to be treated different, and thus is (overly) eager to prove himself – taking unnecessary risks or participating in other activities to be ‘one of the guys’. He is thus highly susceptible to peer pressure. He will also make an attempt to fit into social settings that he finds himself in. He's somewhat superstitious, and sometimes will try to scapegoat others to draw attention off of himself.
His mother was very protective of him as a kitten, and sheltered him from the world, making sure he was raised with good morals, despite the fact he really wanted to go out and make friends. He grew up not thinking that there was anything wrong with him - that horns were just as normal as a different colored coat. Now, grown (barely) and on his own, he is eager to try new things, meet new people, and see the world. He'll try just about anything once.
Ethan has a good sense of right and wrong, but longs for friends that he never had growing up, and will go out of his way to prove himself to potential buddies. He has never been away from his mother before now for longer than a few days, and is easily star-struck with the vastness of the world and its wonders. Ethan is in search of his father - going only on a name, Dyson, as he does know that it is unusual for a kitten to grow up without knowing his father. He is looking for his place in this vast world and thinks that finding his father will answer questions about who he is.
Ethan is quite friendly, especially considering his obvious... unusual heritage. He's enthusiastic and excitable, and has a lot of the personality traits of a neko still in touch with his inner kitten. And having never had friends growing up, Ethan's out to make up for lost time. He's goofy, and socially awkward from having grown up without any friends, but will sometimes come up with some surprising charisma that belies his sheltered upbringing.

Based on a D&D Displacer Beast, but in kitty-form!

The only changes I'd ask for is the eyes to be a solid green, no white showing, and glowing, and the tentacles shouldn't have such an obvious bend/joint in them.
