Rules!
1. Be polite and respectful. 2. There will be one prize for a real world, 3-D entry, and one for a virtual entry, using the mask template or by creating your own virtual mask. You may enter for both. You can win only one. 3. You may only co-own a prize with ONE other person...and it counts as the event freebie for both. 4. You may not proxy for someone else in this contest. Sorry! We want to see your work! Nor can you give the Soquili to someone else. Your artwork, your prize. Isn't that the way things should be? smile Updated rule 5. Don't be stupid. (see rule 1 for more details). 6. Any questions regarding this contest should be pm'd to Samuel Carlin. He will be judging the entries, though he may ask for assistance from another staff member. 7. If you are making a "real world" mask, please put your username in the picture you post somehow. Sticky note, marker on the camera lens, up to you. Updated rule 8. Additional rules may appear as needed.

Please fill out and post this form with your entry. If you edit your entry (and you're welcome to do so until the contest closes), please make a note at the top of your post saying you've done so. I will be looking over everything again before judging, but this helps me keep track of what's current. A stick, a twig, some feathers and glue... Username: Your entry: If your photo will stretch the thread, please link it rather than posting it here Tell us about your design: No novels, please! But feel free to explain how you chose the design/made the mask. Your preference: Tiki Mare / Tiki Warrior (pick one!)
For those without a scanner/camera/"real world" craft: You are welcome to use the mask template here if you have no "real world" craft entry. Feel free to use any photo editing/coloring software at your disposal. Yes, you can print this, color it, and take a picture of it/scan it if you so desire. Download the template here.

A stick, a twig, some feathers and glue...Username:Lord_Lillith Your entry: Tiki mask >.<Tell us about your design: Well, I wanted mine to be scary, to scare people away. (i think that is what they were for?? I am probably wrong) But I wanted teeth and evil eyes. (i also used paint and a mouse, so I'm very sorry about the quality, I just wanted something different ^_^ ) Your preference: Tiki Mare

Dropping outA stick, a twig, some feathers and glue... Username: pinkdog Your entry: http://i45.tinypic.com/1z6qozl.jpg http://i49.tinypic.com/2h7dq42.jpg Proof photo, since I forgot to add it to the original Tell us about your design: I wanted to keep with a very natural theme that would match the idea of the beach and a luau, so I only used flowers and plants in my design. The "teeth" are made out of unripe persimmons ^^ and the vines are meant to be hair. Also, I didn't exactly have a wood mask to put everything on, so you have to imagine the wood deck is the backing for the mask >> yeah, lol Your preference: Tiki Warrior

A stick, a twig, some feathers and glue...Username: ICatniptequila Your entry: regular Mask Angered Terrible faceTell us about your design: Well when I was creating this mask i was thinking of a bunch of Hawaiian themes and the big wave came into mind, so on it is a a picture of the big wave and feathers keeping the tropical theme in mind. I would have blended the colors but I dont have a good program. Sorry for the lack of it not looking good. The white stuff is supposed to be foam from the ocean smile Your preference: Tiki Mare

A stick, a twig, some feathers and glue...Username: LOLTERNATIVE Your entry: | MarkingTell us about your design: It's basically the beach. o vo The mask is the colour of sand and there's a tribal wave marking. it's decorated with a starfish, seaweed a shell and coral. I used blue and green hues since, to me, they're oceany colours. Enjoy this picture of a beach where I live 8DD Your preference: Tiki warrior~

A stick, a twig, some feathers and glue... Username: JetAlmeara Your entry: Finished Stage 1, Stage 2, Stage 3, Stage 4Tell us about your design: I wanted to keep it with a natural feel but also use some color, thankfully my garden provided both! Materials used: Cereal box (For cardboard base) Super glue Gluestick - for petals & leaves Cedar bark mulching chips (wooden bits) Marigold leaves (Hair) Zinnia Leaves (Green flesh) Zinnia petals (Markings) Pine needles (eyebrows) PVC Cement - turns out superglue is not strong enough to hold on the cedar chips. Acrylic Paint 1 unknown yellow flower - they were mixed seeds I really only know what the Zinnia's are lol Your preference: Tiki Warrior

A stick, a twig, some feathers and glue... Username: MDaylus Your entry: Drawn Colored Tell us about your design: Hand drawn with Sharpies and tracing pens. I don't know why, but I thought having a Tiki Head on a turtle's shell would be rather interesting. So a kind of tribal, modern turtle design with a Tiki! Your preference: Tiki Mare

A stick, a twig, some feathers and glue...Username: iJimmytheKittyYour entry: Bird of ParadiseTell us about your design: I decided to make a tropical bird~ A scarlet parrot to be exact~ I really liked the the idea of it, so i made a mask based on it.~ There are feather onto of the head dress, and the mask is painted like a parrots face, around the mouth, is the beak~Your preference: Tiki Warrior

A stick, a twig, some feathers and glue... Username: Kara Asumie Your entry: Tell us about your design: I love tribals.. So I doodled. I find that I love what comes to mind when I just let myself doodle to see what comes to mind without thinking about it first. So there wasn't a thought behind the design just that I wanted tribals in it. I also love glowy stuff. So I couldn't help myself. Your preference: Tiki Warrior < >

A stick, a twig, some feathers and glue... Username: dawns_aura Your entry: Please pardon the crappiness Tell us about your design: It is based off the darker gods. Instead of warding off evil, it actually Is evil. (Also , I may have been slightly influenced by those really creepy masks in The Princess and the Frog) Your preference: Tiki Warrior
