Name: Saphiros Alberich

Nicknames: Saphi the hitchhiker, tag-a-long, lazy lizard, Lizzie, and many others depending on who he is dealing with.

Race: Human, spiny granite lizard mononoke

Stage: Witchling

Preference: Guys, often those out of reach.

Height: 5'7

Weight: Light weight

Build: A thin, light weight frame at the moment.

Skin Tone: A very, very light/pale gray-blue color

Eye Color: Blue

Hair Color: Blue

Likes: The sun and heat, summer time, using his alternate for to it's full advantage, being carried around, free food, children because they do those last two things a lot, older guys (especially those in armor because it looks heroic, sweet and spicy food, anything blue (he's totally biased toward the color), clear skies, making friends, and striving toward his goal... when he's not busy doing other things.

Dislikes: The cold and snow, winter time, being bored, being alone, being buried in work though he has the terrible habit of putting homework off to the last minute, too much rain since it can chase people away, birds of prey (hes had more then one experience of them trying to carry him off when in lizard form), younger children because they squeeze and shake him (again while in lizard form), and girls that try to step on him or chase him (again in his other form, seems there are many dangers that go along with it).

Mononoke Features: A stubby, pretty colored tail, scales here and there, and spiny horns on his head.

Cold Intolerance: Saphiros can't stand the cold, at all. It leaves him feeling a little more sluggish then he would like as well as prone to dozing off. It's a bothersome quirk but something that comes from being part lizard so he had to deal with it even if he will complain a bit when the weather starts to turn each year. When the weather turns chilled he will end up in layers of clothing, his tail wrapped in a scarf to keep himself as warm as possible. He has other ways of keeping warm though, better ones. He loves nothing more then steal warmth from others, curling up to them when in his humanoid form and trying to bury himself under their clothes when in his lizard form. While he's not exactly acting in a perverse manner, instead just seeking heat, he's still caused more then one screaming fit in his time due to invading the wrong person's space.

ASPIRATIONS/PERSONALITY/BIO

Aspirations: Saphiros has wanted to be a Black Heart since he was little and long before he really understood what it meant to be one. All he knew from what he heard from his father, who was one himself, that were that they were 'men that fought and killed monsters'. It was simple enough explanation of such a job for a child to understand, perhaps too much so, and heroic enough sounding that he really, really wanted to follow in his father's foot steps. When told that he could always be a Cerberus Knight as well, he merely commented that the Black Heart armor was 'cooler' and that was that. An extremely childish reasoning but given he was a child at the time it fit with his mentality. The problem being that the plan to be a monster slaying hero stuck in his mind even as he grew.

As he started to get older he learned more and more about them, as well as their fight against various dangerous elements, and his mother, the over protective sort that wanted only the best for her son, did her best steer him toward a less morally gray path. Thus far she hasn't been able to talk him out of his quest toward being a Blackheart like his father but she still tries to do so whenever she has the chance.

Personality: Saphiros Isn't really a bad guy, per say, but he does take full and complete advantage of his Mononoke abilities, his shape shifting especially. He learned when he was younger many things, the most important one being that nobody ever suspects a cute little lizard of being up to anything. As such he was quick to use the form to sneak about places he wasn't supposed to be but with time he learned that there were sooo many more uses for it. Kids especially are Saphiros's favorite to deal with even now, if a lizard walks up to them and begs for their food they are quick to share, and what better way to get around then to get someone else to carry him about? Given his love of sweets and being carried it's a surprise that he doesn't weigh far more then he does though he might be considered a little bit more plush then some. He isn't fat just not over skinny either, he's well fed.

Another of his favorite things to do, something he picked up only after entering the academy, is the gleeful fun of racing out in front of the female students in his lizard form. He finds their shrieks and the way that they run from him to be hilarious given his small stature when in his alternate form. The downside being that he's almost been stomped a couple times by the braver ones. While he has found that girls trying to stomp him, as well as the occasional too tight hug by tiny children, and large birds that want to eat him, as being problematic of his smaller alternate form, he has yet to give up running around in it and quite often at that.

Saphiros has big dreams, that of graduating the academy and moving on to bigger and better things, including becoming a Blackheart one day, the problem being that he is terrible when it comes to leaving everything to the last minute. He knows that homework is important in the long run but at the same time why do homework when you can be running around outside? Quite often his assignments will pile up until the last day in which he goes racing through them as fast as he can to make sure that they are at least done. He knows that, if he really wants to become the same sort of hero that he father is, that he will need to buckle down and he means to do just that. Later though.

SAPHIROS'S HOME

~ Saphiros is currently attending the Makai Royal Academy, training his magical skills in hopes of one day reaching his goals of becoming a Blackheart. When not in school he stays with his parents in Lumena, admiring all the wonderful views seen in the castle town, the knights included.

SAPHIROS'S THINGS

~ Saphiros doesn't really seem to carry a whole lot around with him, other then at school where he is required to, since it's easier to be empty handed when deciding to shift into and run around in lizard form. At school though he will carry a backpack filled with various supplies needed for each class as well as snacks that he eats between classes.

MONONOKE

A mononoke, being what they are, is a human who has the natural-born ability to change their shape into that of a very specific creature. They retain some of this form at all times, usually in the form of ears or a tail or bodily markings.

Being that this ability is strictly limited to those who are born with it, a normal human could never 'learn' to become a Mononoke. Even should they become a master at transfiguration and attain the ability to change their exterior form, they will always only be in a costume, whereas the Mononoke attains heightened senses and reflexes in their creature form, and in some cases, heavy doses of strength or power.

As always, however, there are those who revere this gift, and others who see it as something rotten. Mononoke can often be compared to werebeasts, especially in the sense that some have their personalities altered by their more beastly side in some occasions. Still, besides the difference here or there, or the occasional shedding....Mononoke are the same as humans, just with a side of fluff. Or Feather. Or scale. Or claw.

Physical Features:

- Mononoke have animalistic ears and tail in their human form, but can also have things as bodily markings, hair markings, skin alterations, claws, etc.

Roleplay Tips:

- Mononoke are no longer considered rare.
- Mononoke cannot be Majin. You'll have to pick or choose when writing a character quest.
- Mononoke are still very much human, just with an extra flavor. As such, they should be roleplayed in much the same way.
- When in beast form, their animal instincts should take a stronger hold on them. How strong is up to the player.
