Mia stared down at the small bowl, tracing its rim with one fingertip and then reaching for a slender spoon. She eyed the spoon, then look back at her salad... not the best utensil, but as it was what she had packed it would have to do.

She's made herself a small meal, nothing more than a simple Summer salad, to consume in the fading sunlight. The last of the brilliant colors were fading from the sky, and she felt the chill of night approaching... her body was still producing enough heat to keep her warm, though the delicate fabric of her dress did not help in that respect. The tips of her shimmering green hair brushed the mossy ground upon which she sat. Her feet were bare, their soles tinted with soil and debris.
She had packed her dinner hastily, hoping to make it to the secluded glade before the sky began to change its colors. Eating a salad with a spoon was worth watching the complete transition- from sunny-blue-day to blazing color into night.

She selected a piece of carrot and chewed contemplatively, eyeing the twilight sky with interest. Though there were similarities, no two sunsets seemed identical.

Saphiros was racing along in his alternate, lizard form, enjoying the last of the sun's light, as well as the last bit of freedom that he had at the moment. He knew that the moment that he went back to his dorm room that he had a pile of homework waiting on him, as such he meant make the most of the day or at least what was left of it. Darting from rock to rock, climbing up one side and hopping off the other, his movements seemed to be rather arbitrary, as though he really didn't care where he ended up... that was until he realized that he wasn't alone in this particular part of nature. Giving a pause on top of one of the rocks he'd scaled he flicked his tongue out at the nearby witch, and then gave a toothy grin. Hey now, it was company! Not only was it company but company with food! What could be better then that? Nothing! Well... unless of course the company with food happened to be that handsome druid he met a while back but this witch was more then sufficient.

Hopping off of his current rocky perch he sent to racing forward toward where the woman was sitting. He dodge about through the tall grass, over a few other rocks, and continued forward toward his destination which was the witch with the pretty colored hair... and what were those, crystals of some sort? Due to the fact that they were a color so similar to his own he couldn't help but to appreciate them greatly. Add in that he rather like pretty, glittery things he couldn't help but to want to check it out more closely but decided that before he set to inspecting the sparkling stones that he wanted to check out the one that they belonged to first along with the food that he knew she had. He could smell it from a mile away and like the mooch he was he was eager to see if she were the sort to share her meal with a passing lizards.

Without so much as a second thought Saphi was racing up her back toward her shoulder. There was no better way to announce himself then to get up to a prospective friend's shoulder... though when it came to the druid the man hadn't even noticed that he was there for some time. He wondered if this one would notice him straight away or if he would have a chance to see what sort of food she had with her first? He didn't mind one way or the other, so long as she might consider sharing he was happy. What did she have, what did she have? The million dollar question! Of course he had to make it up high enough to actually get a chance at seeing what she had with her... and that was all dependent on her. It was actually a bit like a game of sorts, to see how far up a girl's back he could make it in this form before they started to shriek... that was if they were the sort to make that sound. The other option being her knocking him aside before attempting to stomp on him... Saphi decided to hope against hope for the third option, that being her not flipping out on him. It was a game of chance each time he did this and an exciting game at that so no matter the danger he wasn't about to stop.

The witch felt chills run down her spine as the creature climbed up it, cold limbs clutching her shoulder as she turned slowly to gaze upon her newest acquaintance.

She was a rather placid being; not many things could ruffle her calm, so to speak. Slow to anger, only fleeting sorrow and sincere smiles.
Being used as a make-shift bridge was an entirely new experience for her. She swallowed her carrot, hand paused mid-way between her mouth and the bowl. Her thin garments offered little protection against the coming night's chills, and they did next-to-nothing to shield her soft skin from the touch of the... lizard's?... toes.

"Hello..." she murmured, her voice pitched low due to the proximity of this chilly companion. Setting her spoon down carefully, she offered the little lizard a quick smile.
Normally she would wait for a response before continuing, but she was not certain that any would be forthcoming... nonetheless, she decided that being a living bridge (to where?) did offer her some justification for her inquiry: "What brings you here?"
Many other questions circled around that one. How may I help you? What manner of creature are you? She had heard of beings that could shift form at will.... Was this such a one? Or was it (she used the neuter to avoid potentially false assumptions) merely a lizard or something more?

She glanced at her salad, and wondered whether it was merely hungry.
She held up a small vine-ripened tomato as an offering, wishing she knew more of a lizard's dietary preferences.

The greeting given to him by the witch had the lizard lifting his head up to look up at her for a long moment before cocking his head to one side, tail swishing and he gave the lizard's equivalent to a smile before his attention went back to the food that she had with her. Let's see, salad, huh? Lucky thing that he rather liked what it seemed was in her meal. Could have used a few more butterflies came a random thought that was mostly contributed by his lizard side and due to having been chasing them down recently for a school project. When asked what brought him here he seemed to think that one over for a moment, well now that was a good question, wasn't it? The love of being outside, the love of the heat on his scaly skin, how he loved to seek out others to see if they would give him some free food. All of that but one thing that was far more important then all of it together, "Skipping out on homework." That stuff seemed to plague him like nothing else! He wasn't sure what it was about his luck but it seemed as though the homework just wouldn't go away! Instead it was just piling up.

When the tomato was offered to him he gave a pleased sort of hiss, lifted up onto his back legs, and took it half in his mouth, and half with the front feet before he started to munch on it. From the happy sounds he was making as he chewed it would seem that the tomato was appreciated, then again any free food was appreciated. If he didn't have to spend his allowance he was a happy little lizard. It was why he ended up as quite the little mooch both when he was wandering around and during lunch time at school. He often drifted around the cafeteria during lunch to see if people wanted to share and given he was rather sweet and cuddly, not to mention such a nice color if he did say so himself, he often got what he wanted be it in this form or his humanoid for.

Once the tomato had been devoured, whilst licking his maw, the bright blue lizard started to scale down her arm to get a better look at the salad. He tilted his head to one side, then glanced up at her giving her his best 'look at how cute I am' look before asking, "Gonna eat that slice of cucumber?"
