Allow me to show you my thoughts.... They held a captivating magic, a grandeur that still holds the hearts of the children that watched them so long ago. There were many fantastic scenes throughout the classic animated films. I, myself, loved the song 'Reflection' in Mulan above all else, with Beauty and the Beast's ballroom scene being a close second. I really miss the magic.... That being said, I began to wonder what were others favorite classic Disney scenes. Well? .... and that was the cerebral perception

The songs in the old ones are the best. biggrin

Beauty and the Beast, Lion King and Mulan aren't what I would consider "old" Disney movies. razz
I really liked Tangled, though.
My favorite older ones are probably The Great Mouse Detective and The Rescuers. My husband really likes The Sword in the Stone.
Oh I also love love love The Little Mermaid.

gaia_star Hey there, sugar. gaia_diamond I adore Disney, new and old. I was actually supposed to go today but it's so rainy. And I just turned 18, got my braces off, and graduated so I really want to work there but now we're moving to Georgia. /: Disney store located in Atlanta, here I come!
gaia_diamond Come here often? gaia_star

Those aren't old gonk (or maybe I'm just old)
When I think of old Disney movies, the ones that come to mind are from the 60s and 70s, and those are the ones that hold a special place in my heart.
Sleeping Beauty and Aristocats are my favorites. In my opinion the 70s was the best decade for Disney. The animation was 100% hand drawn (Mulan, Hercules, were not), the music was amazing, the characters all so innocent emotion_kirakira sometimes I cry watching watching them just because they're so beautiful xD

Honestly some of my favorites aren't exactly movies, but the super-old, black n' white cartoons of Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Goofy, Donald, and Daisy are the best. My dad has this huge collector's set of, like, 12 DVDs just full of them! He was a kid in the fifties-sixties, and he said they were one of the only non-news programs that was played regularly, except for the Monty Python's Flying Circus, I think. ^^

The Lion King has always been one of my favorites, it came out when I was really little and I used to watch it over and over again. The Lion King II was also really good. I would carry my stuffed animals around in my mouth and pretend I was a lion. sweatdrop
