Selene's Descrpition
Age: 18
Gender: Female
Sexual Orientation: Heterosexual
Description: Selene is a rather tall woman standing at 5'9" and has a slim build just under average. Her hair is red and cropped short; she normally doesn't bother in the style, and merely brushes her hands through her hair leaving it in a wild array on her head. At times she could be mistaken as a boy because of her lanky figure and short hair. Her eyes are a green hazel framed by long eyelashes, the only truly feminine thing about her physical features at first glance. She has a light tan on formerly fair skin from her time living in the weyr with dark freckles dotted across her nose and tops of her cheeks. She has a diagonal scar crossing her right shoulder blade from an accident as a child. She has a bracelet made out of green stones that her birthmother gave her as a good luck charm when she started to Stand at hatchings.

Selene's History:
History: Selene is a weyrbrat. Her mother was a kitchen drudge; she has only heard stories of her father, rumored to be the rider of a Silver dragon, who was a hard working and good man. One of the rumors surrounding him that she had heard caused her greatest fear in life. Even though her father had been a good rider supposedly something unknown had gone wrong during training in which he fell to his death. This was of course, only a rumor and an improbable one at that, but it caused her to fear heights. She spent most of her childhood in the crèche with the other children of the Weyr, but knowing who her mother was made her a bit different. She made an effort to spend time with her mother when she could and to this day has a good relationship with her. As far as she knows she is her mother’s only child, but she considers most weyrbrats around her age to be close to siblings. At 8 turns old she fell from a ladder while doing chores onto some rocks, reinforcing her childish fear of heights and leaving her with a lasting scar. When she came of age to be a Candidate she decided at that moment to keep trying until she aged out. After being passed over the past six turns, doubt has started to settle in, but she still clings to the hope of becoming a rider. If the time comes that she ages out she will then decide what to do with her life. She has thoughts of possibly joining the Healers craft having an interest in the art. When she was 11 she spent a week sick with a bad fever. Watching the healers deal with herself and the people around her inspired her to look into the craft. She likes the idea of being able to help other people and make them feel better no matter what ails them.

Selene's Personality:
Personality: When in groups she is a very out-going person always laughing and eager to have fun. She thrives off of the attention of friends, and loves being in social situations. However she does know when to be serious and works hard to complete her chores. When scared or fearful she tends to close herself off; she doesn’t talk as much and spends less time being social, only out and about when doing chores until she has worked through whatever is bothering her. Without a friend [or friends] nearby her she seems to lack direction, not really knowing what to do with herself or how to act. When it comes to romance she doesn't see much of a point in being too emotionally invested in another person. It’s not that she fears it, but rather she views relationships with a detached indifference. She just doesn’t care one way or another. She knows that if she impresses to a dragon, no relationship will be as important as the one she has with her bonded partner. She would rather focus on that and worry about romantic human relations when the time comes. When she has a moment to herself, she is often found staring off into space and daydreaming. Now that Thread has started to fall again, often these daydreams consist of the days of life without it or of being a rider fighting it. She’s determined to help defeat it one way or another, be it as a rider flaming it out of the skies or as a healer treating the after effects of it. She is fairly indecisive when asked about topics, preferring to look at all the minor details of each choice she has in front of her. This in and of itself is frustrating because it takes her so long to decide on anything. Once you become Selene’s friend, you are one of her most precious people that she will defend till her dying day. Even if you break her trust and faith in you there is still a lingering part of her heart for you and thus the chance to make amends. However, if there is a second incident that breaks Selene’s heart that trust will not be gained back.

Tessth - Mine. I couldn't be happier to have her.
Hermith - Ky't's Green. She is an exact duplicate of Ky't. It's rather adorable.
Courath - Dizzian's Green. Such a happy little thing.

Build: Below Average
Why Selene?: Although Tessth usually does not need an overly long amount of time to consider information given to her before she offers advice, Selene's careful consideration of small details may help Tessth notice something she missed in her first assessment, while Tessth's ability to accept the information given to her and come up with strong, logical, and helpful solutions fairly quickly might help Selene learn to be more decisive. In Threadfall and touchy situations, after all, there isn't much time to consider all the fine details; sometimes, a decision must be made or should be easy to make. Tessth will help Selene realize that, because of all people, she will be happiest to help her beloved rider.
Also, both Tessth and Selene are more focused on working to help others and platonic love, rather than the romantic end of the spectrum. Tessth needs a rider who isn't distracted by chasing after romantic partners, because there are always plenty of people and dragons who genuinely could use their help. After all, friends offer all the love necessary for happiness, and the pair of them can be content with that for the time being. That said, if Selene ever chose to pursue a romantic partner, Tessth would likely take it as it came, offering advice wherever needed.

Tessth's Personality:
This Crimson is a fountain of advice and is happy to help when she is asked for it. Her objective and often intuitive nature makes her an excellent counselor. It is easy to present her with a difficult situation and have her give an unbiased answer, even if she knows all of the parties involved. If she is not involved with another task, she is happy to sit down with any dragon and assist them as a sounding board and advice-giver. Even when she is busy with something else when asked, Tessth will search out the dragon who tried to get her help later, once she has time to sit down with them. However, asking for her advice may come with repercussions of its own if the dragon reveals that he or his rider or someone else has done something inappropriate; she can be a master at switching from calm ear to superior guilt-giver. Tessth may not openly state her disapproval, but if you know her at all you can tell when she begins to exude it. She takes on an almost aloof attitude and the passive comments she gives in reply will always lean towards the implication that the other person/dragon has somehow done wrong.
Tessth has the ability to lead, but she is equally as likely to follow orders when they are given by someone who seems to be her superior in experience or rank. Where she takes charge in situations where others are unsure, hesitant, or look to her for help, she falls back when those more suitable to lead in a situation are present.
As far as social interactions go, Tessth is happy to befriend those who approach her. Don't count on this Crimson getting overly attached to any males in a romantic sense, though. Although she is a great dragon to have as a friend and partner, she is interested in others only in a platonic sense. A weyrmate would be out of the question for her. She simply isn't interested in long-term romantic partners, though she understands and accepts Flights as being natural and necessary.

Finally Found You, Mine
Selene heard the call for the Hatching and quickly dressed in her Candidate robes. She raced down to the Sands pulling on her thin sandals. Once she was down there she ran a hand through her hair, a bit out of breath. This is it... She waited there with the rest of the Candidates seemingly calm and glanced at Kytara briefly. The two knew each other in a somewhat friendly way and she was glad to be near a friend during this time.
Selene watched as the first batch of hatchlings broke from their eggs and found theirs. A small surge of joy spread through her as she saw that Kytara had impressed. She was truly happy for her newfound friend. The haughtier green had regarded her for a moment before it walked off slightly stepping on her foot. The taller girl winced slightly but didn't make a big deal of it. There were still quite a few eggs that needed to hatch and she needed to be patient.
Selene was nearly frozen as the green made her way to the girls. The greens eyes were so.... chaotic. Unfortunately, she came to her senses too slowly and she didn't move out of the way fast enough. She let out a cry of pain as she stumbled back knowing that her left leg was bleeding. She sucked in a deep breath and forced herself to stay standing. She would stay through the injury.
Feeling relief slowly begin to flood through her, Narisa felt the corner of her lips curl up. Yes. She could do this. Okay, time for the next egg! She approached the Peace and Quiet, following her previous actions again. An experimental tap followed by a wind up and a good thunk.
Again, the egg wriggled and a wing pushed through, followed by a head and arm to reveal a young Crimson. A Crimson! Small, yes, but Crimsons were almost equivalent to Golds! And in the absence of a Queen Egg, the young female was likely to garner much attention!
Stepping out, and moving strangely because a piece of shell was all but glued to the bottom of her foot, she wobbled about disoriented from the smack against her egg.
The baby crimson set one foot in front of the other and held her up high as she walked - though, much like a child, she walked in one direction and looked in another and the end result was walking straight into the egg Brakiath had broken and tossed.
Tripping over it, she cried out in surprise and fear at the good she'd just covered herself in. It smelled rotten! Flailing about, she finally managed to right herself she spent a moment crying before she realized she was fine and, with a whirr of sound, continued forth.
She just made the front row of the girls, having looked at the boys and snorted quite loudly - enough her hind legs hopped a bit - and nosed the first girl she came across, happy to meet them. Obviously not minding the contact, she was clearly using her appeal to draw the girls to her rather then searching hers out and tiring herself out completely.
She nosed and greeted each of the girls that approached, ruffling her wings when she got too close and there was soon a very decided clumping of candidates around the crimson as each of the girls wanted to be the one. When, at last, Hers was revealed, she rumbled and fluffled herself, the motion of rearing back scattering the girls without injury, she bobbed her head in the direction of Selene.

She sounded weary and worn, but also of good humor as she settled back down and sneezed.
Selene had sighed in relief when the eggs had begun to hatch once more she'd been a bit worried. She smiled at the Black as it stumbled a bit. Then the Crimson came out of her shell and walked over to the girls. The poor thing was being crowded a bit so Selene had stayed where she'd been to wait and watch. Selene smiled happily as Tessth called her and walked over kneeling down to hug Hers. I'm so glad you found me. Let's get you some food. She limped a bit now with only a small bit of pain left. The joy of finding Hers exceeding the pain in her leg. She began to feed Tessth calmly.
