Upon arriving from the portal, an attendant was already waiting for the students dressed, her outfit plain compared to the last ambassadors of War, dressed only in simple cloths with minimal feather decorations. She nodded shortly, briefly, at the students arriving. Several students may have noticed by now how high up they were: though they were in what was notably a large, wooden room, the strange creaking of the floorboards moving underneath them betrayed their height. A few open windows and doors also revealed thick tree canopy, and temporary elevators that lead down, very far down.
"This is our Clan of War." As emphasis, she thumped her spear against the wooden floor. "We value your skills, your ability, and your physical prowess and will continue to test you, as students, as warriors. You will be given temporary sleeping quarters, but starting tomorrow, you will begin the first of your classes and training field exercises. You will have free time to explore various areas after your studies. Does a student dare challenge me with any questions?" OOC - Your student now has clearance to various areas in the Clan of War! The first of note is the dorm rooms, where students can go to interact with any other students in this subforum/ clan - Next, if students wish to explore the area/ break into PRPS/ their own ORPs, there are designated areas they can visit. - After 24 hours of exploring around, the CLASSROOMS and TRAINING FIELDS will open up, which students can also explore as well. TRAINING field exercises can be taken DAILY (you can choose one out of all the training field exercises per OOC DAY/ 24 hours), classes will be updated approx every 24 OOC hours by a GM, with homework to complete for points. - Once again, all rules are here if you have any questions on how things operate. - BE SURE to read the general information on the Isle of War so you have a good idea of the setting! All information here is OOC knowledge, for now. - If your student is exiting this thread/ ANY threads, be sure to note it with an ENTER and EXIT post. Feel free to post a reaction in this one before EXITING.

So many trees! Shehk had found herself marveling at all of them. Trees, jungle. Man, these War Horsemen were all about roughing it, and she absolutely completely loved it, her senses going completely haywire.
Everything to smell.
Everything to see. She could vaguely hear things moving too and as she moved, that anxiety she had previously got more and more wired. More excited. The grin on her face had shown it too, despite the fact that they were indoors to start off. She was being given promises to snoop - and she would snoop everything. She had to. She'd find a journal to write and draw in. She'd show it to Jericho when they got back so he could 'see' things too. However, she knew better than to ask about that as they were right then.
She needed to think of more appropriate questions, even if right then all she could do was try to contain how much RAW EXCITEMENT was pulsing through her body. How long had it been since something actually excited her?

EnteringCalder had taken his information and followed his assigned group, and while he waited to go down, there was no down. There was no movement other than horizontal, and while it was better than going up, he had a much stronger desire to see some solid earth under his hooves.
He was looking a great deal more pale than normal.
There were buildings in the trees, which suggested staying in the trees. This mean staying up high for longer than what Calder deemed necessary.
At the offer to ask questions, no matter how it was phrased, Calder rose his hand. "Is...Is this entire place up high?? Are we going to be up here the entire time?" His voice has reached a rather high pitch.
No kelpie was meant to be this high. They stayed in rivers and on ground. He never ever managed to get above a branch of a tree before, and had freaked out when Belladonna had taken him on her broom.
This....this was making him feel dizzy.

[Entering] Renshu looked around him. A lot of trees for the War Clan. He'd assumed they'd be more...war-ish... more manly, maybe. The boy was more than slightly surprised to be surrounded by what seemed to be an amazoness tribe decked in feathers and cloth. There were other people around him, mostly people from Halloween town. Interesting people, it seemed, though young in comparison. He'd been told to expect that when he signed up for the exchange. Interesting, it'd make everything very interesting. Renshu glanced out the window. It was a long way down. A long, long way down. A rather nervous looking horse-boy-thing, or was it a goat-boy-thing, he wasn't quite sure, raised his hand and questioned the guide. It was his opinion that the guide didn't really want to be questioned, not unless anyone wanted to "challenge" her. The Qilin tried to keep the smug grin off his face. He wondered what would happen next. Hopefully, the horse-boy, or goat-boy, he still wasn't quite sure, wouldn't fly out the window. He didn't appear to like heights, after all. MoonKitsune Sorry for calling Calder a horse-boy-thing/goat-boy-thing. qq No offense intended, it's how Renshu thinks.

Canon was practically turning herself into knots as she attempted to listen attentively to the attendant, and see every bit of their surroundings that she could at the same time. They were up so high! Far more used to swampier environs (and a much lower viewpoint) she was practically giddy from the view.
When the attendant asked if their were questions, Canon waved her tail above her head, it having the better reach. She waited semi-patiently while the boil with hooves asked his question before offering her own.
"Hello! My name is Canon! I have a question, too! Are there any poisonous plants native to this land?" she asked, red eye sparkling with interest. "Or corrosive substances in general?"

The island of War was certainly interesting to see. And the prospect of being gauged for his prowess certainly sounded nice. Shun had to watch his step. A few times, he stumbled here and there thanks to the fact that he had loss the use of one of his eyes recently. It aggravated him, but he was going to try and deal with it. Adapt.
Placing his hands into his pockets, he gazed around the area, frowning lightly as he couldn't help but think of his werewolf. Hopefully she would not go to the war island at some point. She would not handle the elevation all too well... It was something he would have to warn her about should she decide to take a class here.
Quietly, he looked around at the others in area. Several of them, he didn't recognize. They were likely the guest students he had heard about.
It also didn't look like Calder was handling the heights all too well. He supposed it made sense, being a kelpie and all.
As for questions, he had none for the time being. He was content to just observe what he could for now.

The attendant gave Calder a sharp look. "You will indeed be staying up here while you take classes here. Best not to look down." Her tone was laced with sarcasm.

Upon entering the room, Rikki immediately found that he gravitated towards the windows. Maybe it was the sound under his feet, or the grand number of leaves he could see out the opening, but he had a feeling he wasn't quite on the ground. As his stomach dropped, he realized he was right. They were precariously high up. A fall from here would be dangerous. And yet, Rikki found himself a bit excited. This was so unlike Amityville, and it was amazing.
He graced the ambassador with his rapt attention when she spoke, and had to prevent himself from doing a little dance. This was going to be so neat, and so different from his usual boring schedule. He was in War territory! YEE!
If only he knew what classes Danny and Roch had taken.

Upon stepping through Yin was rather thrilled to note how very natural every thing seemed to be. A wooden room, a glance out the window revealing a sea of green. His eyes lit up a bit uncontrollably. So much for being highly suspicious, he was really just curious to look around. But Alexander appeared just after he did and without really waiting to see if he would follow him or not Yin began to make his way toward the window, not reminding in the least that the floorboards moved a bit. Praying mantises were used to less than stable perches, and he had climbed up quite a few things. And one day he should even be able to fly a bit, so really, heights? Not his main concern. The attendant spoke, voice seeming to challenge them, but really, he was used to ghouls like this. And he was looking forward to testing himself, to seeing how he fared in their world and against their challenges. Feeling more excited than he had ever considered when debating the exchange he turned to look up at Alexander, speaking to him quietly so as to not attract undesired attention from the attendant who seemed to brook no nonsense. "I think this may be a better trip than we expected," he informed him, for once brimming with optimism.

((Entering)) Alex had followed directly behind Yin, though it had taken a large effort on his part to force himself through that portal. He wasn't at all sure that he was ready for this, not so soon after what had happened with the trials, among other things that had gone on since then. But if he didn't move forward and do this, he wasn't just going to let himself down, he would be letting Yin down as well. And so he was here, standing in wooden room with open doors and windows. Alex's eyes did a quick scan of the room before he began shuffling along towards Yin, where the other boil appeared to be looking outside, his feet barely leaving the floor as he moved. The heights didn't really bother him, but he wasn't exactly a fan of them, either. Especially not after he'd fallen off of that cliff during the war trials, and even worse, when Yin had fallen off just after that. But still, it was hard not to appreciate the beauty that he beheld when he stopped beside the weremantis and let his gaze wander across the tree tops. Yin's enthusiasm was hard to ignore, and his gaze shifted, as he turned his head to look down at the other boil and smile, speaking quietly to him as well, so as not to disturb the others who were asking questions, or to draw the attention of the rather grouchy looking clanswoman who had greeted them when they came through. "I certainly hope so. And I'm glad that we at least get to be together for this." A small bit of tension that had been building up inside him seemed to start to die away. "Do you think I'd be allowed to take pictures, with my phone? To send to my family? I bet they'd like to see....Maybe I should ask..." His eyes flickered towards the horsemen attendant, and he almost cringed back from the thought. She just looked so mean.

The Isle of War, from above, looked heavily forested. Which was why the fact that they had just stepped into a forested area did not surprise him; what did surprise him - ever so slightly - was the fact that they were near the top of the trees rather than on the ground. It was pretty amazing how they managed to keep the platforms secured enough to hold everyone's weight.
Biskoto was fascinated as well, although she seemed to be a little nervous being so far from the ground; she liked the ground. She was most certainly not a tree snake...
"Ssssshall we look for Amphi?" She suggested, looking around for the mermaid, eager to find a way for her to distract herself... And Amphi was always such a good distraction for her!

Mitzi stepped through the portal, looked around, and gasped in delight.
The wooden room was different than any building she'd ever been in before, and she found the entire setup simply beautiful. The wooden boards beneath her feet, the thatch roof above her, and the forest spreading out before her - she didn't know what was best, because it was all amazing. She grinned, standing for a moment just to take it all in; as she looked over at Alex and Yin, she saw the zomboil glance back to the portal, and she waved, but the scenery was just too exciting for her to be distracted for more than an instant. She ran forward, up to the railing, to get a better look at it all.
As soon as she reached the edge, saw exactly how high up they were, the vertigo struck.
She took a couple stumbling steps backwards, suddenly trying very hard to catch her breath, and she squeezed her eyes shut as she did her best to push the height out of her mind. Focus on the room. Focus on the other students. Focus on anything else but the height. She could do this.
She turned around, her back to the edge - there was an edge right behind her don't think about that - and opened her eyes, watching the portal. Surely there had to be other people she knew in the same class; once she had someone to talk with, to distract her, she'd be able to forget about the height.
She could do this. She had to do this.

Yin gave him a nice, razor smile. "We shall have to give them something to remember us by." Yes, now would be a good time to test his limits. Though, he somewhat did not trust these doctors compared to Nurse Cricket. He would simply have to be extra careful to not require too much medical attention. But there was just that idea now that he was here. Now that he saw just how fearsome the attendant was...he could not wait to try what they had set in store for him. It was not so much a competitive desire, for the most part he was fine with how he ended up (so long as he was not dead last). But he would thrive on the challenge. So really, he was not thinking about anything like photographs. He was tempted to point out that the zomboil did quite a good job at sneaking photographs, so he really probably did not need to bother asking. "You may need to ask about that, " he agreed. Really Alexander just needed to learn already that you should ask before taking a snapshot. "Though I do not recall any rules about eyephones being mentioned before we came." Then he thought of something else. "If...if you show me how to take it, you could send them a picture of you? Maybe with the trees behind you?"

Amphi, soon stepped into the room. Her body lurched though at the height before staring way down to the ground....that was far...far away.
"Oh...my jack." She covered her mouth in surprise before rubbing her temples. Surrounding them was a onslaught of foliage and wood as well. Not a hint of water in the treetops.
She might've stepped further back then intended and made a special little awkward stand in the middle of the room. Just so she didnt get accidentally pushed out or something....
Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear.
