~ The Counting Crow ~
Full BodyName: Cosine (Kosina)
Domain: Number - Focusing on Number Mysticism
Title: The Counting Crow
Date of Rebirth:
Skintone: Caucasian
Eye Color: A piercing bright green with pale pupils
Hair Color: Dark green, shines greener in the light like a blackbird's wing with a white streak towards the front.
Build: Petite for a goddess
General Appearance: With piercing green eyes and yellow hued skin Cosine is rather striking. Her hair looks black, but is actually a deep green when it catches the light. Her ears are feathered giving an appearance that suits the name of 'counting crow'.
Cosine sports feathered wings that might resemble a crow, or other large bird.
She favours floor length dresses made of light material. Think Grecian style, simple, empire line and floaty. She prefers blocks of colour to patterns. Her clothes tend to be of one colour, maybe with a band of silver or gold under the bust. Her hair is usually down and falls just past her shoulders. If it is up she wears it in a simple bun, most likely with a few strands falling loose. She is not one to spend hours working on her appearance.
She prefers bare feet to shoes and now she has more of the devine flowing through her shuns footwear all together.
Permanent additions.
As a morph she prefered not to adorn herself with jewelry, though recently she has taken to collecting trinkets and adornments.
In her hair she wears several feathered charms. Each has significant meaning to her and are never removed.
1. Her first charm was a simple combination of wooden sun shaped beads and crow feathers. This is worn to the right and was given to her by Ankou before she travelled to Baadris.
2. Her second charm is similar to the first. Another combination of wooden beads and crow feathers. This is also worn to the right and was another gift from Ankou.
[X]3. Yet another gift ... one of more significance. Ankou's own deity level feathers, these are white and almost luminescent blue in colour. They are bound to a braid of hair on the left. These feathers are filled with mana and have turned the braid of her hair they touch, white.
Round her neck she wears a bone necklace, crafted by Ankou and a second symbol of their bond to each other.
Personality: Logical - As a Deity of Number her mind is logical rather than creative. She keeps her feet on the ground and will come up with the most efficient and sensible plan of action. Though her cult is heavily associated with divination and mysticism they still retain rational thought. Combining it with auspicious numbers.
Patient - Cosine tends to maintain a calm expression, even when others are going crazy. She does not lose her temper often, though she can be snide if angry. Good to have in a crisis and mostly sensible.
Diligent - She's a hard worker, though this can be taken to the extreme. When she is on a mission she will channel all her focus into her task. She will see tasks through to the end and is happy to help others.
Protective - Cosine loves those close to her and would do anything for them. Although she's friendly and patient she can have a nasty temper when pushed to her limit. She has recently discovered that she is not adverse to severe punishments for those who break the rules.
Cosine likes children, especially her honourary nieces and Nephews whom she will happily spend hours exploring with and teaching counting rhymes.
As a mother she is relatively laid back. She feels it is important for her children to explore and experience the world in their own way. She is trying to teach them good manners as that is something she feels strongly about.
Family: Her immediate family is her twin brother Arctang. Their rebirth and his disappearance has caused a bit of a rift between them. Hopefully they will grow closer as they become reacquainted.
Cosine cohabits with Ankou, her partner and their three children. She likes whiling away time with them, be it lounging around talking or reading in silence whilst he works and the children play.
In addition to Ankou she considers Echo, Nergal and their children part of her family. They helped her host and in turn her when she needed them most. She would do anything for them in return.
Likes: Reading (she has a secret love of trashy romances), working in the gardens of the Pantheon, cookies, number games, children, crows, Kou, music.
Dislikes: Lateness, the state of the universe, violence, rudeness, having personal space invaded by strangers.
Powers: One - By invoking this power, Cosine can create a feeling of Sorrow in the target or cause one sad event to occur in their future
Two - By invoking this power, Cosine can create a feeling of joy in the target or cause one joyous event to occur in their future
Three - By invoking this power, Cosine accesses the rest of the panoply of the rhyme as recorded around 1780:
Three for a wedding,
And four for death.
These powers must have been gifted through alliances long ago, now unlocked in deity status, as her mysticism extends in a minor way into other Gods' realms. As Three she can officiate formal weddings between whosoever seeks her out. The unions she hallows are considered sacred for three years, during which no party in the union can willingly harm the other(s). This sanctity can only be sundered by gods with stronger influence in such realms than herself. Invoking Four allows her to collect feathers from a target's soul, each representing a year of life - this shortening the targets. This feathers can be given to others, stolen, traded, etc. This is pertinent mostly to Mortals.
