Marco wasn't actually born in any of the hidden villages. When he was old enough, his parents told him about their bloodline and where they came from. From a fairly early age, Marco wanted to become a shinobi, and even though his parents didn't agree with it, they allowed him to leave for the closest village to get training to become a shinobi. Having not grown up around tons of other people, Marco didn't let people get to him to much. Though by speaking his mind, he got in trouble fairly often. This is his story so far...
At the age of seven, Izaya had become the most feared member among his family because of his inheritance of the Sakkakugan, which only appeared within a few members of his clans at a time. He had first achieved it when he was in his home one day, arguing with his father about something that he had done. He didn't mean to, but he ended up killing his father right there on the spot. His eyes had activated without warning, casting a deadly Genjutsu around the house that he was unaware of. It was powerful enough to kill both his parents just like that, and he was left to live with his aunt and uncle ever since. At the age of twelve, he decided that he wanted to become a ninja, using his abilities for a better cause instead of wasting his life doing nothing. And so he came to be in The Snow Country.
After making his presence known to the Yukigakure, Izaya decided that he would go off for some training in the art of Genjutsu and a few Ninjutsu techniques. Once that was through, the boy decided to train his eyes and master the vast power that they hold. A chill washed over him as he activated them, and when he stuck himself in that Genjutsu, he could send another presence within that darkness. The hand that reached for him was his, yet not his, and he shied away from it and shattered the illusion before any harm could be gone to him. After another try he cast a Genjutsu to show him what Hell would look like, and within it there was a girl that could pass for his twin, yet she wasn't. She was out to get him, testing him by the looks of it, and she was real, not just an illusion. He found that he couldn't escape unless he caused himself to feel pain, which was what he did to escape. Not too long after this did he go to the restaurant and try to see if she would appear again, where he met into an altercation with a boy from the Hyuuga clan. He was sure that he could have taken the boy, but he wasn't himself at the time. Several other events went by with a new Yukikage being appointed. This one explained to him what it meant to have the Sakkakugan and the strain it caused on his mind. Then he finally came to terms that there was another consciousness within him that wanted control. He then left to Konohagakure where he met another girl with the same eyes as him, where she mentioned that if he was willing, he could become her apprentice and train beneath her...

Hanzo was born to a woman of the Nara Clan and a civilian man in Konoha. It was often expressed that his mother made constant decisions in his life as a child for she was the more prominent figure than that of his father. One of her decisions being Hanzo to be raised outside the Nara Clan household. While he was still young he was moved to live in Yuki under his father's guidance. His mother was an irksome woman who barely tolerated any nonsense but at the same time the woman wished her son to live a simpler life. And through most of his childhood her visits became less frequent. Fortunately, it was the only thing he liked of his mother. Most of the time he was raised by his father who was more of a mother than both parents despite the majority of their decisions falling under his mother's hands. In time, he grew to take his father less seriously for his softness and less-than stern demeanor for taking on the role as the 'homemaker'. Later he began to resent his mother. In response, he delayed his academics for a period of four years. However during the trial of those years his father had seen signs of his inborn abilities. Naturally the other parent was notified of Hanzo's blood traits. When his mother finally threatened to issue another rare visit, he then registered into the academy out of fear.
Nearing the end of his academy years, Hanzo was caught into a terrible accident. Due to an over heated pipe in his home, which his father overlooked, Hanzo received several burn marks scattered across his body. Despite the treatments he's received the scars still remained. And although it did not affect his personality by much, internally he curses at his own appearance in all aspects and does his best to conceal them through bandages. In some ways his characteristics stems from a rather obtrusive childhood. He then passed the Academy with average merits on the incentive of freedom or the will to do whatever he chooses to do. |

Shigeru knows only one thing of his origin: That his birthplace was Konohagakure. He was raised by the Jounin of Yukigakure until he could fend for himself. His teachers were the closest he had to parents. They had told Shigeru that he had been found in the mountains, alone. Shigeru was found with a single scroll with the a leaf drawn upon it. It was later revealed that he had a bloodline trait: Mokuton. It was this fact along with the scroll that he had come from Konoha. In order to keep relations positive with the Leaf, Yukigakure decided to house and keep the presence of Shigeru in the village, a secret. Shigeru was told to always keep his bloodline a secret for everyone's safety so he became fond of Taijutsu and it's almost chakra independent techniques.
Clash in the Land of Snow
Recruited by the Yukikage's ANBU, Shigeru became part of a three man squad. This squad included, Jae Ketsueki and Jounin named Nakura Seishin. Together they were entrusted in dispatching a powerful team of rogue shinobi that had placed a spell upon Crisis, the Yukikage at the time. They set of for the region that they had been spotted and fought head on. Jae was pitted against a kunoichi with an affinity for Bukijutsu. She used a pike but fell to Jae in the end but not before nastily injuring her. Shigeru fought against one who used ink and paper to summon creatures to fight for his stead. Shigeru used the power of the Celestial gates to hold off his opponent for a time before the enemy retreated. Together, Jae and Shigeru faced the final rogue member, a Jounin kunoichi. Nakura had been injured and left the rest to the Genin. Shigeru decided to take on the Jounin himself but his Taijutsu was ineffective against the Jounin's Genjutsu. Somehow, the Jounin retreated but had mortally wounded Shigeru. He was taken back to Yukigakure where he had surgery to undo the deep puncture wound to the abdomen.
Jae's Leaving
After Shigeru had recovered from his last mission, he had met a Chunnin named Ayaki Daichi while leaving the hospital. Jae had taken to her own activities while Shigeru proceeded to regain his strength and even more than that. Shortly after, Ayaki and Shigeru had met at Yukigakure's most prestigious restaurant and took to training together. Soon, Shigeru and Ayaki requested a mission together that required them to travel to Konohagakure and beyond. WHile on assignment, Shigeru and Ayaki had separated. Shigeru stayed in the Leaf while Ayaki traveled to the Mist. While he was there, Shigeru found Jae in Konoha. Estranged by her presence there, Shigeru investigated only to find that Jae had abandoned Yukigakure in hopes of joining the Leaf. Outraged, Shigeru tried to convince Jae to return but did not succeed. Shige decided to return to Snow in order to inquire the Yukikage about Jae's leaving and asked to be assigned to bring her back.
The Chunnin Exams
Shigeru had been entrusted ith the task of bringing Jae back to her village. Ayaki opposed the idea and refused to support Shige. On opposing ends, Ayaki and Shigeru grew apart, leaving him to work alone. Shigeru alone was the single Genin to register for the Exams. In hopes of gaining more authority by rising in rank, Shigeru attended. He knew that he would be able to move much more freely being Chunnin and that would be of much use in his mission to retrieve Jae. The Exams were held in Red Bean country, ruled by a very tasteful emperor. They consisted of three rounds in three stages. The first was a simple battle in an elevator. There SHigeru had been placed to fight against a horned shinobi that seemed to be young but alcoholic. Together they had just begun to fight when they had reached the second stage. There the second round as held. Together, Shigeru and his former opponent had to work together to choose one of twenty one doors where all but one was fatally rigged to trap. They succeeded in opening the right door and were taken to a lobby where the rest of the Genin were determined for a final fight. Shigeru was lined up against a Genin from the Mist. He emerged victorious and was promoted to Chunnin. With his new rank, Shigeru decided to celebrate and spend his mission rewarded Ryo in Takumi village, a merchant village built on tourism and trade. There Shigeru fitted himself with armor and new supplies.
The Blind and the Dead
With the installation of a new Yukikage, the Snow village had been proposed a treaty with the village hidden in the Leaf. The Yukikage accepted and was asked to visit the village and personally speak of the terms and benefits of the treaty. Shigeru had just returned from the Chunnin exams and had been chosen to escort he Kage to the Leaf village. AMong those chosen was Ayaki. Shigeru met up with her again and saw that she had changed dramatically. SHe clearly had degenerated for her appearance was torn and her actions sparked concern in SHigeru of her mental health. It had come to be known that it was Shigeru's leaving to retrieve Jae that had caused such a change in Ayaki. Depression and loneliness had overcome her and broken her. Shigeru vowed never to leave her again and to stand by her side the way she had before he had left such a time ago. Together with several other shinobi, they escorted the Yukikage and went to the Konohagakure. There, Shigeru and Ayaki had encountered Jae. Although, there was something different about her. Jae seemed to recall nothing about her past and nothing of the Snow village, including Shigeru and Ayaki. By the gathered information brought forth by a fellow shinobi, SHigeru discovered that Jae had gone through a procedure that had her memories locked away and suppressed. Shigeru, disturbed and deeply moved planned to bring back Jae's memories by reminding her of her past and her life before the Leaf. A sparring session organized between the Yukikage and Hokage was held at a training field and SHigeru saw his chance. He challenged Jae to a match and proceeded to refresh her memory. Meanwhile, the entire time, Ayaki felt uneasy about Shige seeing her again. She felt that Shige was going to leave her again in an attempt to retrieve Jae. Earlier, before the match, Shigeru had confessed to AYaki his feelings towards her and how much Ayaki was worth to him. During the duration of the match, SHigeru tried to bring back the memories of Jae by asking her of her childhood and family. All the while, SHige became more and more emotional and elated by combat. After a few questions were asked that could not be answered, Jae broke through the seal that held her memories back and returned to her previous self. Unsatisfied and enraged, the severely wounded Shigeru launched a fatal attack from behind that would impale Jae and end her life. Helpless but hopeless, Jae stood by and waited for the end but Ayaki, in a burst of mercy, put herself before the attack and was hit instead. Ayaki died in Shigeru's arms. Quickly, Shigeru took up AYaki into his arm and sped back to the Snow village where he summoned a tree to bury Ayaki in the great snowfield at the village's front.
The Blind and the Dead 2
Having buried Ayaki in the snow, Shigeru had fallen to his wounds and was left to the whim of a blizzard. Near death, a young Genin by the name of Rikuto Sanyu had found Shigeru. She took him to the Hospital where medics rushed to treat him and begin surgery on his severely damaged arm. He had suffered extensive Hypothermia and had fallen into a coma. It wasn't a few hours after the surgery that Shigeru began to change. He was quickly covered by a wooden cocoon. After a few moments of thrashing about, the cocoon cracked open to reveal a conscious Shigeru. After coming out from the coma, Shigeru had been blind and a victim of great Amnesia. Not knowing who he was or what he even looked like, SHigeru became desperate and unstable. With the help of a few Snow shinobi; Ryoichi Kaguya, Zain Hakemoto and Rikuto Sanyu, Shigeru received a new identity and a new place in the village. Called 'Matsu' Shigeru seeks to investigate his true identity and what had caused him to be in such a weakened state.
- Inner Chasms of the Corrupted Mind: The Coma
The hours preceding Shigeru's transformation into 'Matsu', Shigeru's grief, with the help of severe hypothermia, had plunged his mind into a coma. It was during this time that Shigeru had found himself at the base of a tree. By this tree, Shige had been approached by something oppressive but immensely persuasive. Taking form of his beloved, Ayaki, the Beast showed Shigeru's horrid act of murder, over and over. Having lost his will against the Beast and given way under his oppressive presence, Matsu asked for it all to be taken away from him. The Beast heard his pleas and moved to keep Shigeru's subconscious and memories locked away from the 'surface'. Thus, Matsu formed a wall between the two planes of being and took up a new identity as 'Matsu', meaning pine tree, giving him comfort. It is during long sleepless nights, where reality blurs into fantasy, that Matsu can hear screams and cries of a thousand voices.
Post-Genesis
While hospitalized, Matsu was frequently visited by Rikuto. She would give him company and try to help him to remember who he was. One day, while having lunch, Matsu reacted to Rikuto's touch. Having a vision of his past, Rikuto bled from his eyes before gaining his sight once again. Eyes white and blank, Matsu realized that he was of the Hyuuga clan and felt hopeful now that he had part of his identity back. Having the strength to leave the hospital, Matsu went out to speak to other fellow shinobi and meeting new friends hoping to find more about him.
Time Skip
Having recalled his rank and abilities, Matsu became stronger and stronger until he managed to reach the rank of Jounin. With such a vast understanding of Taijutsu and the body's limits, Matsu took up a student, Ryoichi Kaguya. Together they trained their bodies under harsh conditions and strenuous routines. For a year, this went on. Matsu and Ryoichi had left the village to train in the most extreme of climates and environments, not seeing friend nor foe.
Call to Action
With the rise of yet another Yukikage, Matsu realized the Snow village's state of stagnancy. Hoping to help aid the village into development, Matsu went to seek the Yukikage in his new office and ask of him a mission. Wanting to get back in the routine of a shinobi, Matsu asked for the mission most fitted to him by his strengths and weaknesses. Keiji, the Yukikage, assigned him the duty to aid the allied Leaf village with anything the Hokage may need. Eager to fulfill his mission but slightly disappointed, Matsu took on the mission and set sail to Fire Country.
The Voyage of a Lifetime
Having boarded a private vessel, Matsu met the crew and it's captain. The fact that they were headed the same way, was the reason Matsu was allowed to come aboard. Mirroring a band of pirates, Matsu was welcomed like one of their own. Finding fellowship and good times on ship, Matsu created memories that would always to come to mind when the image of a family was ever presented to him. At time to go their own separate ways, Matsu felt deeply saddened and reflective. Having no family and no one close to him, Matsu felt alone. Matsu's loneliness burdened him heavily, having no remedy on a lifelong journey traveled alone.
Overshadowed Soul
Quickly after arriving at the Leaf Village's gates, Matsu began to get visions of a nightmare he would often have when he crossed the snowy fields of the Snow Village. It had begun when Matsu saw Jae just outside the gate. Having no recollection of her or who she was, Matsu simply thought her to be attractive and interesting. Little did he know that his subconscious was shouting out at him at the sight. Jae, seeing him once again, had not moved to kill him but instead moved on. She had been shaken by a sudden gust of a horrible past but left the village with another one of her fellow shinobi. Matsu, oblivious to his past as Shigeru, continued on with his mission to see the Hokage. Meanwhile, the walls of his mind shook with every flap of an eyelash.

Personality: Michiko lives and breathes music. She prefers seclusion to large groups and though every sound produced is a melody, Michiko rather a space where the only melody she can hear are those of her own. Michiko speaks in quiet, soft tones as a percussion against taking damage to her throat. For Tenkei members, their voice is key. Like a siren, their voice is their weapon. Miciko may be considered rather blend and plain to most as she prefers to stick with the dark gray hues that seem to tie in with her ominous linage. She also sports no flashy assessories and the more eye catching think on her would probably be her Yukigakure headband that dangles in and out of sight from around her neck. Michiko will show respect to those that she believes deserve it and even those that don't. Her tone will get slightly darker and dimmer against those Michiko's hostile against but its so subtle that most don't notice it. Her frustration and happiness is represented in the music she plays. Whenever she's overwhelmed with any type of emotion, music will be her guide.

Every story is a song and this one's Michiko's...
Birth
Michiko was born on a breezy, autumn evening in September. Her parents both having been regular shinobi under the service of the Yukikage. Michiko's mother was abandoned as a child in the frosty woods and grew up not knowing anything about her heritage. Her mother was from a long line of 'sirens' or better known as the decedents of the exciled Jingou and Clay Mouths clans. For some reason the Tenkai kekkei genkai escaped her mother's generation, making her only a carrier of the fused blood mixed from generations of Jingou and Bakuton members interbreeding. At her birth Michiko showed no signs of having inherited the unknown sacred blood and was treated as any other regular baby. She wailed when hit and was weighted a healthy 6.5 pounds. All in all, it was a joyous moment for her parents when they finally got to cradle their firstborn child.
Discovery of Linage
Michiko grew up happy and carefree. Her parents showered her with as much love as they could offer and did their best to make sure Michiko was well taken care off should they ever part for a mission at the same time. Michiko knew nothing of her hidden potential and merely chose the path of a musician because music appealed to her. Whenever she would past by an instrument store, street performing, pubs with live performances, Michiko would find herself automatically turning that way and taking in the melody. It was like a calling and Michiko would always remember the day when her parents surprised her with her very own piccolo on her fifth birthday. Sure she couldn't really play it at that young of an age but it still meant a lot to her. With her piccolo by her side, Michiko began taking music theory lessons and surprisingly reading and writing sheet music came easy for her. Just by staring at the sheet, the correct music and melody would flow into her mind and when it was time to write music, an entrancing melody would begin to play and with a smile view into her thoughts, Michiko would see an imaginary score flowing along with it. Believing that Michiko had a potential to become a great musician, her theory teacher suggested piano and vocal for the young girl until she grew old enough to play the piccolo. Agreeing to it on account for Michiko's happiness, she began to head to the studio each day after her classes at the academy to study the art of sound.
It would be one of those days when Michiko was heading home with one of her parents from the music studio. That day, Michiko learned to start playing difficult scores reaching three pages, front and back. Her timing with the pedal had been a bit off but all it all Michiko felt she did a good job mastering the piece as much as she did in just one day. Things had been fine up until her mother and her were jumped by some drunk thugs. It had been four to one and as skilled as her mother was, facing off against four burly man with an small child by one's side is never easy. One of the males had Michiko captured and threatened to hurt her should her mother try anything. Her mother of course did not listen and tapping into her training as a shinobi, escaped her bondage with relatively ease. Freeing Michiko was another story as the shock from her mother's speed made him drop her onto the ground. With her child free of his grip, her mother wasted no time in piercing his heart for threatening the two of them. What went miscalculated was the landing mark of his sword. The sword was flung and as it landed, sliced through Michiko's right arm just as she propped herself up on her left elbow.
All Michiko heard after that was a loud wail. Be it hers or her mothers but Michiko only registered the sounds of distress and the taste of salty tears. The smell of blood was strong as a pool of bright red blood began to taint her cream yellow outfit. Michiko remembered her mother calling out for help and her eyes glued onto her detached arm oozing blood. She recalled wishing that her arm was attached and not separated. The thought of having to live without both arms terrified her and Michiko remembered wishing for all this to be a lie. A strange tingling sensation would surge through her petite frame at this time as numerous black threads erupted from the remains of her arm towards her detached flesh. The thread would pull the separated arm back into its original spot and she then felt a strange burning sensation erupt from her arm as the tendrils began its work. The pain was so great that the young, shocked girl of six fainted within moments of the process. After calling for help, her mother had turned to administer first-aid to her child only to spot the tendrils erupting from her arm. The sight left her stunned and speechless. It wouldn't be until Michiko fell unconscious that she regained her senses. This event would be the start of an unwanted change...
Parting
Upon learning of her abilities, Michiko's parents were distraught. They knew not what to think. Both her parents supposedly came for families with no links to any 'special' blood and yet, here was Michiko, a product of some dark linage. Eyes turned to her mother who was abandoned as a child and in his unstable manner, her father began to blame her mother for Michiko's impurity. Michiko was still young and couldn't really contemplate why her mother was to blame for the strange workings of her body. In the middle of her right arm still lied the dark ringlet left over from the threads that bound her arms together that day and saved her from death. The fact that her own body was able to create such threads scared her and to see her parents fight didn't make it any easier for the young six year old musician.
Closing up, Michiko spent her time in her room, scribbling out dark music which portrayed her scared, confused, and uncertain emotions. She would spend endless hours writing music and the other crying herself to sleep. Eventually by the end of her seventh birthday, the gap was too wide and her father left. The fight for Michiko took about two months before her father's family convinced him that such impurities would not be good for the family. Leaving Michiko to her mother, the two took solace within each other and did their best to adapt to their new life.
Truth of Heritage
As Michiko grew, the more she picked up on little signs of her bloodline acting up unconsciously. Her mother, with no choice left but to get over her fear of her daughters inheritance, sough to learn as much as she could able her abilities so that she may help her daughter grow and learn to control them. For now, Michiko had only shown signs of the Jingou bloodline and that is what they focused their studies on until a singing performance Michiko did when she was eight. She was singing for a large crowd and couldn't get her voice across to the back. Subconsciously wishing she could let her voice resound louder, the sides of her arm began to crease into three equally spaced lines before parting into mouths that sang with her. Michiko was wearing a sleeveless dress that evening so her use of her bloodline was apparent and those that did not scream from horror, became too stunned to speak. It would be the later option for Michiko before she blacked out.
When she awoke, she was at home with her mother by her side, her arms were bare cept for the black ringlet leaving no signs of the nightmare from before. Thinking it was dream, Michiko turned to tell her mother about it when the look from her eyes told her otherwise. With this new addition, her mother turned to older and more secure scrolls. Eventually she found out what it was that her daughter processed and everything continued from there. Michiko and her mother did there best to aid Michiko with holding back on her bloodline until she would be old enough to initiate the control needed for actual techniques. Her music classes continued for the time being and Michiko was even admitted into the academy. Their hopes were for Michiko to learn all she could able chakra manipulation from the academy and with it, learn how to efficiently use her bloodline.
Graduation
Now twelves years old, Michiko has so far faced no more run ins with her bloodline and having just graduated from the academy, looks forward to her future as a shinobi trained in the ways of music.

Personality :: In general, Shimiru is soft-spoken and somewhat shy, choosing to be by herself rather than make friends. She believes in individual strength, so Shimiru will rarely be seen asking for advice unless it's a last resort. She is patient and doesn't get easily annoyed, but has trouble detaching herself from a situation and using logic to drive her actions rather than emotions. Once she enters a battle however, she goes all out unless ordered not to, taking great pleasure in fighting and not ashamed of it. She is a bit of a recluse but when around a dear friend, has a good sense of humor, is optimistic, and talks much more than those around her. This is because pretty rare for her to have a time where she can speak freely and without fear. The fear of disappointing those of whom she respects, admires, or is friends with stems from her past experiences but isn't so severe now as time has passed.
Shimiru absolutely doesn't like anyone finding out about her creative side. She loves writing poetry, drawing, and art in general and has a flare for the dramatic. She keeps her journal on her at all times and has been recording her day-to-day life since she could write properly. Although she isn't much of a people-person, she has a habit of observing them. Their mannerisms, nervous ticks, habits, anything that sets them apart from others she observes. The only times Shimiru will voluntarily start a conversation is when she wants information and since she excels at observing, can always be found carrying around bits of information on most people around her. It should also be noted that Shimiru very rarely speaks unless spoken to. If she does, it is usually no more than one or two sentences. This isn't because she has something against people. It is simply a part of her personality. Many take this as a sign of her trying to distance herself from others, but this is not the case, since doing so would draw her even deeper into silence. However, there are sides to her that can only be drawn out personally, that define her as outgoing, fearless, and unafraid. During battle however, those traits turn into ferocity, protectiveness of herself and others, and bravery.

It started with so much pressure...
As a child, Rei Yuki did not receive the care and love a normal child should have. Her parents were distant with each other and rude to strangers, and her relatives were no exception. Her father's drive for an intimidating and fearful reputation caused him to start training her once she reached the age of 5. He pushed her to her limits everyday and constantly compared her to others, hoping that hating him would make her want to train harder. Rei's only highlight of her childhood was her older brother, who never once acted cold or distant towards her. He understood what Rei was going through since their parents had treated him the exact same way they were treating her, even though he was a bit jealous that he didn't have anyone to encourage him like Rei did. Rei's childhood days, although exhausting, were very monotonous.
Until he messed it all up...
Unknowingly to the family, Rei's father, who served as an ANBU, was suspended after being unnecessarily cruel in his overall composure and actions. He killed anyone he suspected of being the village's enemy, even if they were innocent. And indeed, most of the time they were innocent. He began to make debts, wanting to buy and construct his family's own compound. When he couldn't pay them, many began to grow angry at him. The anger eventually spread to his wife and children, and they were forced to leave the Mist village and live in the outskirts of Wave Country. Pride for the name 'Yuki' caused him to break contact with society and gain reputation by himself.
And caused them to take everything away...
Eventually several relatives that had been persuaded by Rei's father drew unwanted attention to themselves by killing rouges they had encountered. They might have been part of a faction, but nonetheless rouge nin began to target them, wanting to take revenge. Since the Yuki clan carried a kekkei genkai, they underestimated their opponents despite Rei's constant cries and warnings. The family was attacked and raided, with almost everyone killed or kidnapped. Rei and her older brother Kenji were one of the few that escaped, and they immediately headed for a village where they could start their lives over, Yukigakure.
...Until nothing was left...
Only when they were close to the village did the rouges strike. They hunted down Rei and Kenji and in a desperate act of survival, Kenji fought them to protect his sister. As his injuries grew in numbers and his energy dwindled down, she joined in and fought alongside him until most of the attackers were dead. However, the stronger ones had survived. Knowing the outcome, Kenji shoved her away and forced her continue running to Yuki before he was killed.
But my story will continue, never to be forgotten.
Rei joined the Yuki Shinobi Academy not long after she settled back in. Her daily intense training and studies continued, but now it was Rei forcing herself to instead of her father. Her quiet and observant personality allowed her to learn many things about the people and events around her. Using this to her advantage, Rei aspires to become a highly experienced information-gatherer and Oinin Captain, or something even greater. After a few years, Rei passed the Academy with flying colors, still clinging tightly to her goals. Taking the graduation as a sign of new beginnings, Rei changed her name to 'Shimiru' so she would no longer bear the name her parents gave her. In a successful attempt to erase her doubts, she purposely chose the name 'Shimiru Yuki', which translates to 'To freeze snow'.

Personality: Amaya is a soft spoken, levelheaded person. She often may appear to other’s to be shy, or simply disinterested. The young girl is in truth neither. She prefers to keep her thoughts to herself usually, and is almost always more alert than most. The kunoichi has long since learned the art of keeping her emotions from showing in her face or bearing.
Typically however Amaya is relaxed and open around good friends and loved ones. When around superiors or even colleagues her attitude also changes from it’s normal disinterested state, as she becomes respectful and professional. The young shinobi holds honor and formality as a high priority and is almost always polite and courteous to those around her regardless of station. This is probably due to spending her childhood in Yukigakure and the Snow Country, home of many wealthy and important nobles.
Now that she is of a dating age, Amaya has also found something rather peculiar about herself. She has absolutely no interest in boys. Though she is friendly with them, and holds nothing against them, she is simply not attracted to them. She is however, much more interested in girls. This is a secret the kunoichi keeps from even her most trusted friends for fear of be rejected by society. The life of a warrior is short, and the girl doubts she will ever be able to find another who shares this interest earnestly.
Amaya is a strong willed shinobi on the battle field. Instead of taking on a disinterested state, she becomes collected and focused on the task at hand. Though she prefers to think her actions through thoroughly, she also prefers close combat, disdaining long range tactics. This is a rare mindset, as most assume a close combat fighter to be rash and easily provoked. Amaya however, prefers to out maneuver her opponents and relies on planning instead of rash assaults.
Lately, Amaya has also started taking an interest in the medical arts. Though she may appear disinterested in the goings on around her village, the inevitable loss of life and of loved ones around her does effect her greatly. As she realized she had an aptitude for Chakra Control if, sadly, not a high amount of Chakra, she quickly desired to become a full fledged Medical Ninja in addition to her other talents.

Amaya lived a fairly easy life during her early childhood. She was born and raised in the land of snow. Her father, Hiro Matsumoto, was a monk and warrior, he served as the defender of the village she lived in. Her earliest memories are of training sessions with her father, never to rigorous and always fun, they were happy memories indeed. Her mother Shizuka watching her training and confessing her pride in the pair of them added to the bliss of the memories greatly. Looking back on them now however, is bitter sweet for the young shinobi.
Hiro died defending the village when Amaya was only seven years old. A large group of bandits attacked the village he was charged with, kidnapping women and children while he was away. Setting off after the men alone as soon as he returned, Hiro somehow managed to free all of the hostages, they returned to the village mostly unharmed. The young girl at the time had breathed a sigh of relief as the hostages all came back to the village safely. She was sure that her father would return at any minute, he was unstoppable in her eyes. There she waited, outside the house, for hours with no sign of her father.
The land of snow was aptly named, as it was nearly always cold there. Amaya’s mother, worried about her husband’s safety, was only able to drag her daughter to bed and spend the night awake, as she held the crying girl to herself. As the sun rose on the sleepless pair, Shizuka could not bare another day of not knowing her husband’s fate. Going around the village, she begged men to go and search for her husband, to find him and bring them back.
Though the villagers feared the forests that the bandits called home, there was no doubt however that they owed it to the family after Hiro retrieved their loved ones. The men of Amaya’s village gathered crude weapons and entered the forest for a sign of her father. The wait for their return was even more agonizing for Shizuka and her daughter than the night had been. Less than two hours later however, the men returned with grave, mournful expressions. The Hiro Matsumoto had died, about a mile out from the village of his wounds in battle.
The agony of the loss hit Shizuka immediately as she realized, her husband would never be coming home. As she let out a piercing cry of agony, falling onto the ground, Amaya was shaken but did not understand what the men had meant. Her father was invincible, he could not die. It was then that she saw the body being carried on a makeshift stretcher by two of the men. The body was covered by a large, now blood stained cloak, but her father's face was still visible. As her eyes teared up, the agony hit Amaya too as she wailed and collapsed on the ground beside her mother.
Amaya’s father was cremated shortly after his death. His ashes reside in the village he died serving, a shrine was erected there and is treated with reverence by the villagers. A little over two months later, Shizuka decided it would be best to move her daughter, nearly catatonic with grief, away from the village. The people of the village begged her to stay, the wife of a hero, they treated her and Amaya both very kindly. Her mother however sadly rejected their pleas and left to travel the land of snow.
Over the years, Amaya’s mother had them move often. Shizuka was not as talented as her father in ninja techniques, but as her daughter slowly began to come out of her grief, she started to train her as best she could. In between odd jobs for higher pay, the pair worked as in home maids and servants for some of the many wealthy nobility of the land of snow. Shizuka did all in her power to make her daughter as happy as she could.
Over the years, mother and daughter did achieve some measure of happiness in life. They’re lives where always missing that vital piece, but over time, though the piece was still gone, it became easier to manage without it. Still, sometimes at night, Amaya could hear her mother sobbing quietly to herself. What drove the young girl’s sadness beyond the loss, was that if her father had only not been alone, if only he had allies at his side, he would almost certainly have survived.
When Amaya was thirteen news of an organization of warriors, of shinobi, being existing to protect and serve the land of snow. This, the young girl thought, was what her father had needed. Shinobi allies. Nearly at the age to move out on her own in any case, the young girl begged her mother to take them to Yukigakure, The Hidden Village Blanketed By Snow. Shizuka eventually agreed with her daughter, and the pair made their way to the village.
After arriving in the village, Amaya studied even harder with her mother. Training her body to it’s limits in the coldness of the land of snow. Her mother found a place for them to live and work somewhat more permanently as servants for a wealthy artisan of some kind, and the aspiring young kunoichi spent every waking minute either working or training. Living and working as a servant in and of itself could be considered training. Amaya’s body soon grew stronger, quicker, and her reflexes improved. The aspiring shinobi did not stop there though, she was also intent on training her mind to the utmost of it’s abilities. Her mother showed her a simple way to practice her chakra control, and be better able to harness what chakra she had available to her.
Amaya was eager to apply to be a shinobi as soon as possible, driven by the desire to ensure no one as kind as her father ever went into battle alone. Finally, at the age of fifteen, the girl believes herself ready to begin her life as a shinobi.
