╫Background Information╫

Darius lived an ordinary and fulfilling life. His father, the priest and head doctor of a small village that's now been abandoned for years, was a kind man who treated all, no matter how rich or how poor. As he grew older, Darius began to volunteer at his father's hospital to give his father a break from working day and night. But one day, a fire broke out in the hospital, an engineering mistake in the basement. His father managed to get everyone out of the building alive, but his old body couldn't take the suspense, and he passed away shortly afterwards. Darius then began to travel Rykros, spreading the kindness and caring nature his father passed on to him to others along his travels. One day, Darius came upon the forsaken land known as the Devil's Eye Desert. Seeing the citizens living in poverty depressed the man, and he felt he had to help them. So he challenged the Lord and Lady, hoping to rid their greed from the Desert and allow the citizens the chance at a normal life. However, he was over powered by them, and was losing. But just his luck, a young couple, an Anima male and a female Naga, happened to appear just in time to save him and the others in the Desert. With the ruthless rulers now gone, the couple then became the Lord and Lady of Devil's Eye Desert, and Darius later became one of their Knights.

Kai was born to a family of Were Beasts who lived in Indelca. Normally, they would be rather fine, but a combination of events lead to tragic events. Kai's family was rather aggressive, killing and eating in excess. There also happened to be a group of extremist slayers in the area, hunting down creatures like werewolves or vampires. Eventually, Kai's whole clan was killed, and he ended up in an orphanage for a small while. He decided he wanted to go make a name for himself as a powerful fighter, so he forced his way out. He now lives in the Desert, far away from ridicule of his species.

2400 (-20% Racial Modifier)
e l e m e n t:
Fire
b a t t l e s t r e n g t h:
Highly adaptive, skilled at feint attacks, surprise attacks, and capable of shaping his Exodus Beyruun into a number of versatile medium and short range weapons.
b a t t l e w e a k n e s s:
Krayth can become very single minded once he has engaged in melee combat, and on a d20 roll of 1 to 5 once he enters the fray Krayth gets tunnel vision and cannot break from combat unless his target escapes, is killed, or he himself is critically wounded.

t a l e n ts:
Non-Combat Talent: MasterfulGuileKrayth has survived as an Anima for many years largely because of his own cunning and instinct; his ability to adapt, and his talents of deception. After 2 posts focused on the action, Krayth can disguise himself to look like any humanoid creature of the male gender. 3 posts, and he can take on an ambiguous female appearance. Krayth can duck into crowds and blend while his pursuers cannot see him in on a successful d20 roll of 11 to 20. Krayth is also a gifted liar, and consequentially equally skilled in judging the truth of another's words.
Combat Talent: Finding the Gap Krayth has become skilled at utilizing his Exodus in deceptive attacks, and can use a person's peripheral awareness to his advantage. Through small sounds, feints and the pressed attack of an ally [or unwitting enemy], Krayth makes his enemies open to his attacks. Krayth's melee attacks with Beyruun deal damage as though they were 2 ranks higher when he is indirectly attacking someone who is already under attack. Wounds dealt in this manner are gruesome, and inflict C rank Bleed damage for 3 posts.

w e a p o n (s):
Beyruun - In its natural form, Beyruun is a 20" long knife of pure glistening black, with its grip fit uniformly into the weapon. It fits perfectly in his hand. Beyruun is a shape shifting Exodus capable of transforming upon Krayth's mental command. Beyruun's strength lies in that it can shift and form however Krayth wills it to, without limit except to its size. While Beyruun can take any shape, Krayth uses it primarily as a pistol, a dagger, a length of chain with a large barbed hook, a sickle, a spear, a b*****d sword, long sword, short sword, and a death mask. Beyruun may only transform once per post. Beyruun also channels Krayth's Elemental energies, but does not augment them.

a r m o r:
Dark Regalia [Light Armor]: Boots, Gloves, Greaves, Chest Piece and hooded coat included. Dark Regalia is a set of pitch black leathers designed to conceal its wearer more fully in the dark, while its coat is shaped as a typical vestment that hides the armor underneath. This allows Krayth to take on multiple persona's while he is wearing his cloak.

p e r s o n a l i t e m s:
Krayth's Ring - A treasured keepsake given to him by his lover, Azur Bascule, Krayth's Ring is a smooth band of two distinct metals, one reflective and red in color; the other black and matte. The metals swirl in and out of one another seamlessly along the ring. While the ring has no defensive or offensive benefits, it has been enchanted with the powerful ability to allow Krayth to communicate to Azur telepathically across Rykros. In order to do this, Krayth must cup the ring between his hands and open his mind to Azur.
Halgar's Reminder - A pendant fashioned of crow bones and jade. He made it for Besrim Halgar, a former friend whose racism and paranoia warped him into a serial killer. When Krayth finally slew Besrim, he took the talisman back. The talisman has no known power except to remind Krayth of how close he came to completely succumbing to evil.
Calidan's Belt - The belt he wears belonged to one of Krayth's few close friends, a rogue by the name of Calidan Greeves. He wears it almost everywhere he goes, and never enters battle without it.

Meteor
Rank: S

Megid
Rank: S
Description: Megid is one of the most powerful fire skills out there. You basically send out multiple large fireballs (up to 20) that explode as soon as they hit something. This skill can be very deadly if used right.

CLASS SKILLS

Soul Mark
RANK: E
SKILL TYPE: Active
By focusing on a creature that he/she can sense in the area for 2 posts, a Dark Avenger can mark their soul, enabling the Dark Avenger to track them with ease. Once a soul is marked, a Dark Avenger can see it through walls and sense its location over great distances. By the rank of Master, a Dark Avenger needs only focus on their Mark for one post to see it anywhere on Rykros. This skill requires no energy. Only one Soul Mark is permitted at any given time, and Marking another soul while a Mark is currently active replaces the old mark with the new.

Soul Mark

Precision Strike
RANK: E
SKILL TYPE: Single Attack
Using their agility and dexterity, a Dark Avenger makes a single surgical attack against their target. If the target is currently the Dark Avenger's Marked Soul, it does damage as if it were one rank higher.

Track
RANK: E
SKILL TYPE: Active
Like all skilled hunters, a Dark Avenger learns to track their prey based on sight, scent, smell, touch, and taste. A Dark Avenger must take one post to focus on their targets trail before they can effectively track them, and cannot do so while running until they've reached the rank of Master. If a Dark Avenger is attacked while they are tracking a target, the trial is lost and they must take another post to get back on their quarry's trail. Tracking a Marked Soul is easy for a Dark Avenger, and requires no post to pick up their trail (if they have traveled nearby). If a Dark Avenger is attacked while tracking, they must spend two posts after the encounter to get back on the trail.

  • Move Silently
    RANK E
    Skill Type: Active
A Dark Avenger is a skilled fighter, but most effective when he utilizes the element of surprise. By moving carefully and distributing their weight from the heel to the ball of their feet, a Dark Avenger can move without making any noise. While Moving Silently, a Dark Avenger cannot run, jump or perform any similar acrobatic feats, and when they make an attack the skill's benefits end. If a Dark Avenger has been detected, Move Silently has no effect

  • Anonymous
    Skill Rank: D
A Dark Avenger gains the ability to darken the shadows on their face and body, masking their identity and making them an unidentifiable face among the crowd. This skill is exceptionally useful when wearing a cloak, and for gathering information or spying on a Marked Soul, and it may be used for an indefinite number of rounds so long as the Dark avenger has enough energy to sustain the illusion. If the Dark Avenger speaks their voice may be recognized, and if they come within arm's reach of another character it becomes obvious that the Dark avenger is masking their features through unnatural means. Magical sight that identifies an individual based on their aura or energy are unaffected by this skill.

    Feral Leap
    RANK: D
    SKILL TYPE: Single Attack
A Dark Avenger is most lethal their instincts thrust them at their enemies. When behind his enemy, a Dark Avenger can make a running leap to strike with their weapon and knock their pray off their feet. If the Dark Avenger's strike hits, their foe is knocked prone. A prone foe requires one post to stand upright through non-magical means. This skill has a three post cooldown.

    Skill Name: Feint
    Skill Rank: D
Description: A Dark Avenger begins a seemingly direct attack towards their target, but feints at the last moment leaving their target vulnerable and open to attack. A feint begins as a normal attack. If the target of the feint attempts to block, counter or otherwise interact with the Dark Avenger's attack, the Dark Avenger's following post initiates the feint and strike. Targets that are effectively deceived by a feint attack receive a circumstantial -3 penalty to their Speed for all attempts to Dodge or Block any incoming attacks during their next post. This skill has a three post cooldown.

    Glimpse into Darkness
    RANK: D
    SKILL TYPE: Active
While a Dark Avenger cannot manipulate darkness until he is an Adept, the divorce of his soul from Light makes his true home the Shadow World. A Dark Avenger can see into the Material plane's dark parallel through any shadow at any time. While he gazes upon the Dark Plane, he cannot attack nor can he be attacked as his body becomes intangible. While using Glimpse into Darkness, a Dark Avenger can see any creatures hiding in shadows through normal or magical means. He can also see creatures that exist on The Dark Plane and their position in regards to the Material Plane. Glimpse into Darkness can be sustained for up to 3 posts, and has no cool down. Using this skill out of cowardice (to avoid battle, escape a target etc.) is seen as treachery by the Shadow Plane, and results in the Dark Avenger being temporarily blinded for 10 posts. Glimpse into Darkness has a two post cooldown.

    Shadow Step
    RANK: D
    SKILL TYPE: Useable Ability
The first true power a Dark Avenger attains from its pact with the Dark Plane is also one of their most versatile. Having shunned Light from their lives, a Dark Avenger may pass freely between the Material Plane and the Shadow World by simply stepping into a shadow or dark area. While using Shadow Step, a Dark Avenger travels great distances, and has the ability to take others, willing or otherwise, along for the ride by maintaining physical contact with them. Past a single passenger, every additional traveler costs an additional 50 energy, as does taking a creature against their will. Beings of higher rank than the Dark Avenger cannot be taken against their will via Shadow Step.

    Frightful Decree
    RANK: C
SKILL TYPE: Active against Marked Soul - Spoken Ability
A Dark Avenger is a being of often dark and terrible convictions, and when their Mark Soul can see them a Dark Avenger can cast judgement upon the Soul, and offer them as a sacrifice to the Dark Plane as punishment. They speak in the baleful language of the Dark Plane, and unless the Marked Soul succeeds on a d20 roll (15 or higher if below Dark Avenger's Rank, 10 or higher if equal to or greater rank) fear begins to grow inside of them. Every time a Dark Avenger succeeds in a post, the Marked Soul gains a Fear counter. Upon reaching 4 Fear counters, the Marked Soul is terrified of the Dark Avenger and cannot attack them. Blessings and other inspirational abilities remove fear counters one at a time. If a Marked Soul succeeds on their d20 roll, the Dark Avenger cannot make another Frightful Decree against them for 2 posts. If the target makes two successful dice rolls in a row against the Avenger's Decree, it is effectively ended and requires a 10 post cooldown before it's next use.

    Skill Name: Shadow Manipulation
    Skill Rank: C
    Skill Type: Active
Public Use: This ability is restricted to Dark Avengers.
Description: Upon being blessed with Hands of Darkness at the rank of Adept, a Dark Avenger can manipulate shadows and darkness freely. Standard Shadow manipulation allows control over one shadow or 10 foot area of darkness, but additional shadows and areas of darkness increase the cost of Shadow Manipulation by 40 EACH, the cost of which persists for every post the skill is sustained. The scope of control is limited by the rank of the Dark Avenger (3 Shadows/30 feet of Darkness at Adept, 4/40ft at Journeyman and upwards.). Shadows and darkness manipulated using this ability remain intangible unless transmuted using Transmute Darkness, during which the Dark Avenger pays the Energy cost for both skills every post they are sustained.

    Skill Name: Transmute Darkness
    Skill Rank: C
Description: Drawing on their powers and the knowledge granted to them, a Dark Avenger is capable of giving form and mass to all manner of darkness and shadow. Transmute Darkness can be used on any shadow or dark area, limited to the range of the Dark avenger's Shadow Manipulation abilities. A Dark Avenger pays the cost of this skill every time they transmute another shadow, and may only transmute up to two shadows in a single post. The hardness and attributes of the transmuted darkness varies by rank, as listed below:

Adept - Transmuted darkness gains the properties of rubber
Journeyman - Transmuted darkness gains the properties stone
Expert - Transmuted darkness gains the properties of steel
Master - Transmuted darkness can only be broken by S ranked attacks or higher, or with a Strength of 10
Sage - Transmuted darkness can only be broken by SS ranked attacks or higher, or with a strength of 12
Hero - Transmuted darkness can only be broken by Holy light-based spells by a Hero ranked Caster, SSS ranked attacks, or with a strength of 15

Attempts to break free of transmuted Darkness using either brute strength or melee attacks requires a full post dedicated solely to breaking free. A Holy/Divine Light-based ability equal to or greater in rank than the Dark Avenger will render Transmuted Darkness back into an intangible state. Light-based abilities of lower rank than the Dark Avenger will drop the properties of the transmuted darkness down by one rank. This effect does not stack. Transmuted darkness may still shaped using Shadow Manipulation, as the material is still the stuff of darkness. The effects of this skill may be dismissed by the Dark Avenger, which can be done the post after Transmute Darkness is used at no cost to the Dark Avenger (except that the shadow cannot be manipulated until the post after the darkness reverts to its natural state) After 5 posts, transmuted darkness reverts to an intangible natural form. There is a 6 post cooldown that triggers after 4 Shadows are transmuted.

    Skill Name: Vicious Wound
    Skill Rank: C
Description: A Dark Avenger shows no mercy in combat, and moves to mutilate and cripple their foes whenever necessary. In any post where a Dark Avenger is making a melee attack, they may activate Vicious Wound, paying its energy cost immediately. If the attack connects, the Dark Avenger twists and rips their weapon in their target's wound. The victim of a vicious wound sustains C ranked Bleed damage for 5 posts, or until the wound is healed. If the wound is not healed by the end of Vicious Wound, the target becomes sickened by loss of blood, and incurs a -2 penalty to their strength for the next 10 posts, or until they are healed. Vicious Wound has a 7 post cooldown, and cannot be used on the same target as a prior Vicious Wound for 15 posts.

    Skill Name: Black Out
    Skill Rank: B
Description: By speaking to the darkness around them in the Black Tongue, a Dark Avenger can deepens the darkness of all shadows within a 50 foot radius of the Dark Avenger. For 5 posts, all darkness in the area becomes impenetrable to all manner of non-magical vision. Shadows affected by Black Out remain intangible and stationary unless specifically targeted by another Dark Avenger skill. Shadows not already under the Dark Avenger's control can not be manipulated until the post after Black Out comes into affect. When Black Out ends, all shadows, even those under the Dark Avenger's control, revert to their normal depth of darkness. This skill has a 10 post cooldown.

    Skill Name: Shadow Glyph
    Skill Rank: B
Description: Dark Avengers can craft pieces of darkness into Shadow Glyphs. Shadow Glyphs have a wide variety of uses, and while they are plainly visible in an illuminated area they are completely invisible in the dark. A Shadow Glyph may be triggered by proximity, remotely by the Dark Avenger, or after a number of posts determined at the time of its creation. A Shadow Glyph's affects can be a combination of any of the Dark Avenger's currently known shadow based skills, and its affects are declared on the post of its creation. The energy cost for a Shadow Glyph varies based upon how complicated the glyph is; the total energy cost is the combined energy of the skills whose affects are applied to a Shadow Glyph (Shadow Manipulation and Transmutation in the same glyph would make its total energy cost 80). The duration of a Shadow Glyph's effects is 3 posts, but may be extended to 6 posts for double the TOTAL energy cost of the Glyph. Casting blinding or holy light over a Shadow Glyph erases it without triggering the Glyph. A Dark Avenger may only have 5 Shadow Glyphs active at any one time.

    Skill Name: Gather Darkness/Scatter Darkness
    Skill Rank: B
Description: Using the dark blessings bestowed upon them by the Shadow Plane, a Dark Avenger may gather or scatter any darkness and shadows that are within 50 feet of their body. When gathering darkness, it forms itself in a half-sphere radiating from their persons, and the area within that darkness becomes as dim as the depth of the darkness gathered. This skill is volumetric, and the area over which the darkness can gather is determined by the number and size of the shadows/darkness present. Each round past the first, a Dark Avenger may focus on condensing the darkness he/she has gathered, increasing the depth of the darkness and further reducing visibility. A Dark Avenger must stand in place during Focus posts, and must have one hand free to do so. Inversely, a Dark Avenger has the ability to scatter the darkness around them, increasing visibility in areas that are typically dark or shaded. This ability applies to the darkness of the night and subterranean environs, creating an eerie gray expanse that is devoid of darkness but also of light. Unlike Gather Darkness, a Dark Avenger may scatter darkness freely (but still at the Energy cost of the skill), and does not limit their movement.

    Dark Convictions
    RANK: A
    SKILL TYPE: Active
A Dark Avenger's focus on their target can be ferocious and relentless. After two rounds engaged in combat with a target, the Dark Avenger may activate Dark Convictions, making each of their attacks deal an additional rank of damage, as well as reducing their target's attacks' damage by one rank. While under Dark Convictions, all enemies beside their target deal damage as though one rank higher. If the target of Dark Convictions is the Dark Avenger's Marked Soul, it only takes one round of focus to activate. While focusing, the Dark Avenger may move and defend himself, but not attack. Dark Convictions has a 5 post cooldown, and can last a maximum of 10 posts.

  • Shadow Meld
    RANK A
    Skill Type: Active
A Dark Stalker may step into any shadow or dark area and seemingly vanish from sight. They become one with the shadow, becoming invisible to non-magical means of visual perception. A Dark Avenger that has melded with the shadows also benefits from being completely silent. While they are in Shadow Meld, a Dark Avenger moves as quickly as they normally would in physical form, and do not gain the benefits of extra-planar travel, and takes up the same amount of space as their physical body although they are intangible. While using Shadow Meld, a Dark Avenger sustains a -1 penalty to speed, to insure they remain undetected. Shadow Meld may only be sustained for 5 posts. After the 5th post, a Dark Avenger may use Linger to remain insubstantial in the shadows but cannot move. The use of Blinding or Holy light on the area of a shadow where the Dark Avenger is hidden will immediately thrust them back into their physical form, disorient and blind them for 2 rounds, and bar them from using any of their Dark abilities during that time. Shadow Meld has a three post cooldown.

    Skill Name: Shadow Weapon
    Skill Rank: A
Description: Drawing the darkness up onto their chosen weapon and then giving it solid form, a Dark Avenger is able to alter the properties of their weapon. For three posts, the Dark Avenger's weapon acts as though it is made of transmuted darkness, allowing the Dark Avenger to change its shape and length through Shadow Manipulation (for the skill's cost), or to adjust the weapon's dimensions at this skill's initial use. For the three posts that Shadow Weapon is active, the Dark avenger's Chosen Weapon deals damage equal to the rank of the Dark Avenger, and the weapon is considered "Shade-Touched," allowing the weapon to both ignore enemy armor and inflict shadow damage, which enfeebles living creatures and causes the target to suffer a temporary -1 penalty to both their Speed and Strength, a condition that lasts for five posts after the blow is dealt. A Shadow Weapon cannot be disarmed from its Dark Avenger until the skill ends. Light-based abilities equal to or greater than the Dark Avenger's rank dispel this skill, reverting the Avenger's weapon back to its natural state. Shadow Weapon can ONLY be used on the Dark Avenger's Chosen Weapon, and if the Dark Avenger has no Chosen Weapon this skill has no affect. This skill has a 6 post cooldown.

Skill Name: Meet Your Darker Half
    Skill Rank: S
Public Use: RESTRICTED TO DARK AVENGERS
Skill Description: A Dark Avenger may turn their foes' own shadows against them, breathing the life it has on the Dark Plane into its Material form. As the reflection of the target in the Dark Plane, an animated shadow retains the stats of its target for the purpose of grapples and combat. In the first round of its animation, the shadow may take a surprise attack or lock its target in a grapple. If the shadow's caster is currently engaged in melee combat, the shadow's grapple automatically succeeds due to its element of surprise. For every post that the opponent is grappled, they are given the ability to roll a d20 against the shadow to break free. The shadow is given a +4 bonus to its sustained grapple check, but the presence of bright light negates this bonus. A shadow cannot attempt to re-grapple its target once the grapple is brokent. The shadow may make physical attacks against its caster, the damage of which is equal to their target's rank, and it cannot separate from its target as it remains attached (at the feet, hands, etc.) Blinding light returns the shadow to an intangible state, and divine light destroys its bond to the Dark Avenger. The shadow remains animate for 5 posts, adheres to silent commands by the Dark Avenger, and reverts to a normal shadow at the end of the skill. This skill can be multiplied for a proportionate energy cost to animate separate shadows at once, and all above rules still apply. This skill has a standard 15 post cooldown, and a 30 post cooldown if multiplied.

    Infernal Darkness
    RANK S
    Skill Type: Passive
A lifetime of brutality, rage and loss has stoked the fires of Krayth's soul white hot, and his faithful service to The Void has made him a beloved servant of his Void Master. The atrocious ritual he enacted in Triwinds end with the embrace of a Night Walker, Avatars of the Void that are the essence of shadow. This contact has irrevocably darkened the fire within him. Krayth's Element is now considered Shadowfire, and this permanently modifies his elemental skills in the following ways.

    • All of Krayth's fire related skills now deal damage as Shadowfire. When used, the rank of the skill is divided by two, rounding up on an uneven rank. The rounded Rank of damage is always contributed to Fire damage.
    • The formulas for determining damage are as follows. (Rank/2 rounded up = Amount of Fire damage dealt. Rank/2 rounded down - 1 Rank = Amount of Shadow damage dealt.)
    • Shadow damage bypasses armor resistance, and is considered Shade-Touched, which enfeebles living creatures and causes those affected to suffer a temporary -1 penalty to both their Speed and Strength, a condition that lasts for five posts after the blow is dealt. This penalty stacks with any previous enfeeblement of the target through use of his Dark Avenger skills, but does not stack in conjunction within the use of other Elemental Skills. This ailment is negated through a Blessing or holy healing spell equal in rank to the skill used, Contact with magical or holy light purifies the Shadowfire, stripping the presence of darkness from the element and leaving only fire.
    • Fire damage deals damage as regular elemental fire. It is resisted in the same manner, via earth or water. Blocking Shadowfire using these elements extinguishes the flames, but its darker half passes through unaffected.
    • Shadowfire skills do not generate light as traditional fire does.
    • If Krayth himself is struck by a holy light based attack, regardless of rank, any Shadowfire skills currently in use are dispelled and ended in accordance with a Dark Avenger's class weakness against holy light. This does not end the effects of enfeeblement previously caused by his skills.

Outwardly, Krayth is amicable and polite, but often very reserved. Due to his bloodline, he is highly suspicious of all individuals he does not know intimately -particularly humans for their blind hatred of Anima- or that he has not known for some time. His wit is often apparent when he speaks, and he will occasionally surprise others by making a joke. Usually, however, he uses his words sparingly. He is quick to anger and violence when those he cares for are threatened, and his sense of vengeance and retribution are both twisted and alarming.

  • Memories...The very first was darkness; muffled ripping sounds of lumber and twisting metal amidst zealous calls of justiice and the crackle of hungry fire. The screams were the loudest; a voice that would become familiar in the coming years. That blur turned into daylight, and a beautiful tear streaked face above whose hands clutched him to her neck.

For years after, Krayth's life was uncomplicated. He grew into a boy, accompanied by a small black dagger he had always known as Beyruun. He noticed that his mother always kept a strange blue staff with her, and he found that he never wanted Beyruun away from him. When times forced them to travel into town for supplies, his mother made him leave Beyruun behind with her staff. Each time he could not help but cry. It firghtened him to be apart from the item that felt like a brother.

Krayth enjoyed peace and love beside his doting mother. In the seclusion of the Wormwood Swamp, she taught him to wield his companion. The creatures of the marsh paid them little mind as Pheena proved more dangerous than a meal was worth. Travelers either didn't care or didn't realize the manner of monsters that dwelt next to the road. From time to time, Pheena would invite a weary merchant or hunter into the comforts of her home. Krayth would find them interesting, and wished that one would stay. This thought would make his mouth water, and Beyruun wouldn't let him take his mind from their guests.

He took his first soul at the age of five. Pheena had brought home a traveler, and after bedding him offer him food and rest. is mother pinned his hapless victim; Krayth was innocent to the idea that he was committing murder and violating his prey's very aspect of being. To him, it was the sustenance of a feast and the comfort of his mother's embrace. It also made Beyruun quiet, and that allowed him the time to explore the swamps in the bounds of his imagination. He collected feathers, small bones and shards of rock, and his mind created trinkets from them.

Life proceeded in this uncomplicated way until a handful of other families moved into the region and began a settlement - one that included Pheena and her lovely son, posing as two dark skinned gypsies from The Devil's Eye. Among their numbers were children of similar age, and one particular boy named Besrim Halgar. This Besrim would quickly become Krayth's best friend outside of Beyruun, and they often ran out into the marshes to play Hunter and Prey, Find the Relic or Hide and Seek. The Relics would often be baubles Krayth made, and after many years of play Krayth made one necklace especially for his friend. It was one evening when they were 13 that Krayth first saw Besrim's true nature. The settlement had grown, and there were rumors of a were-beast lurking among them. Signs pointed to a woman named Hyli Redcraw, and when the fingers were finally pointed, she vanished. So did Besrim. Only blood remained. Many in the settlement were enraged by Besrim's death and attempted to rack the were-beast, but to no avail. As they grieved, Krayth refused to believe it. Besrim had to be alive. The fear of losing his only true friend propelled him into his first true adventure.

Determined to rescue his friend. Krayth gathered Beyruun and a breadroll and set out into the marsh alone. He was pursued by a mutated dog. He watched ghosts drift in the distant fog, screaming out to him for an end to their suffering. He ran out of food, but his mother's teaching helped him to survive; to keep track of a trail that grew fresher as he went deeper into a thicket of black leafed trees. Frightening things watched him from the shadows of the forest canopy, but with Beyruun in his hand he was not afraid. Two days later, he found Besrim alive. He was dragging Hyli's fetid, mutilated corpse by its hair. Pieces of her were missing, and her corpse was bloodless and bloated from the marsh. Krayth observed his friend in total silence, breath frozen in his lungs, as Besrim stooped to stab Hyli's corpse over and over, snarling the same words repeatedly.

Filthy, vicious, flesh eating beast-whore. Filthy, vicious, flesh eating beast-whore.

Besrim did this multiple times before Krayth finally mustered the courage to approach his friend. He said he had feared for Besrim's safety, and followed him to his current camp. The human grinned, caked in blood, and said that he was safe but that they should hurry home -was his mother worried about him? From this point forward, Krayth erased all thought of tell Besrim the secret of his birthright and Beyruun. He wouldn't have to.
They were 16. As Krayth grew, so did his supernatural hunger. Beyruun begged him always for more, and cried in hunger and pain to itss brother. Krayth could hardly control his own hunger, and the sound of so much suffering drove him to the brink. While Krayth and Besrim were trading goods to a neighboring settlement, The Anima no longer had the willpower to restrain his appetite. He was approached by a shy eyed girl, one who smiled at him as they bartered for bread and offered a free sweetroll. He wanted her. Beyruun needed her. It screamed in his mind for her. Under the cover of night, Krayth slipped away from camp and claimed her soul. It was his first real kill. The look of shock and pain in her eyes as Beyruun pierced her innocent heart haunts Krayth to this day. Unknown to him, this girl was fancied by Besrim, and also unknown to him was that Besrim had followed him out of jealousy, and witnessed the very act.

When Krayth returned to their camp, Besrim was gone. When he returned to their settlement, so was his mother. In her stead was a village thirsty with bloodlust, and they chased Krayth deep into the Marsh. He was familiar with the swamp, and hid in the muck to escape pursuit. The next day as he crept back towards his home, he stumbled upon his mother. Pheena was strung up to a tree, cut and burned into a spectacle that was beyond recognition except to her son. There were words carved into the tree beneath her, curving up from its roots and all the way to her flesh.

The mothers of monsters deserve naught to live. The whores of devils will die before more seeds can be sown. Behold, Pheena Tal'Deraz, bitchmother of Krayth Tal'Deraz, eater of souls and raper of children. Whore. Beast. Villain. Monster. Demon. She bears the visage she has earned...The mothers of monsters deserve naught to live.

Four years passed. Krayth lived a lifetime of rage, anguish and hatred. He fled into the biting cold of Kishu, where his body suffered the elements and his furious training every day. His lust for revenge became his obsession, and the love he once held for life was extinguished. He lived only to end Besrim, and even his ultimate goal eluded him. He embraced the hunger inside him. He returned to Wormwood Marsh to hunt the friends of Besrim. Members of his family. Their memories provided no knowledge of Besrim's location. The Anima was slowly becoming the monster all humans has assumed him to be.

It would have continued that way, had fate not intervened. On the eve of his 21st year, Krayth met a blue scaled woman in a distant Wormwood glade. She looked out over the water, and when he spoke to her she turned. Everything he saw in her eyes he felt inside himself. She was enraged; craved blood and destruction... revenge. Her mother had been brutally murdered, and left for all to see. In her, Krayth found a kindred spirit, and for the first time in many years he sat down and consoled her. If revenge was what she sought, he said, then she should not rest until she had it. Not for a moment. At that moment, her fury evolved into determination, and gratitude. It took great effort to part company from her, but he did. Before Krayth left, they exchanged names. Azur Bascule... and he thought of those words for many weeks of travel.

Then, the time came. With the aid of his only friend and confidant, Calidan Greeves, Krayth discovered the location of Besrim Halgar. He had taken up residence in a derelict fortress in the mountains of the Kishu Tundra. Without sleep or delay, the duo traveled onward. When they reached the snowy lands of Rykros, they rested. Finally, a lifetime of of obsession and violence was coming to a head. Justice was at hand.

The ruins of Fort Adelarde, framed in snow and the light of a full moon, were more than a nightmare. Rotted bodies lined the weathered corridors -none of which were human, all of which were female. Some of the cadavers bore children. All were maimed, cut and dismembered. Their bellies each ripped open by the blade of a knife, and their contents empty. The putrid odor filled every space. Calidan was filled with fear, but Krayth did not hesitate. The death around him fueled his steps. Then, they saw him.

What had once been a man of youth and beauty was now a monster of madness and hatred. In Besrim's eyes was only fire and dementia. He took one look at Krayth, and with his ghastly tools in hand the human laughed aloud. "How long I have waited for you! Do you see my holy works! See how many of your poison kind have fallen! How many seeds I have crushed to dust! Now you will join them. Now--"

The door on the opposite side of Besrim's makeshift meat locker burst off of its hinges. From it stalked Azur Bascule, her body transformed into its true frame. The glistening were-serpent struck first, but it did not connect. Pandemonium ensued, and in the confusion, Besrim fled into the snow. Krayth could not find the words to express himself. Suddenly, the puzzle of his life made sense. Azur's mother had died by Besrim's hands. Their mothers suffered the same fate. Now, they would share in their revenge. Invigorated by this revelation, the trio charged out into the whirling twilight.

The battle was not easy. Besrim knew no pain, and his madness drove him to feats of terrible power. Necromancy rose the frozen dead from the Earth. Azur and Krayth's fire returned them to the soil, and filled the sky with steam. Amidst the chaos, Calidan Greeves met his end - Besrim's barbed spear glistened as it tore through the cutpurse's throat. Bleeding, wounded but fueled by newfound strength, Azur and Krayth made their final stand and triumphed... but as Besrim lay dying in the snow and Krayth rose his Exodus high above to tear through his heart and swallow his soul, the serial killer laughed.

"Yes... Take my soul. Witness my works. You will see... see everything, and you will understand..."

Krayth claimed Besrim's soul, and it is a decision that will haunt him forever. All of the man's memories -witnessing Krayth slay his consort, the torture of his mother, Azur's mother, countless others... it raged within his mind beyond control. Most terrible of all was that those memories had a shockingly familiar feeling. One Krayth had felt for so many years, and as he lost consciousness he realized with dread that he was not far from Besrim's own madness... he was on the verge of becoming the very same abomination.

He awoke to warmth, food and care. Azur had taken Krayth and the body of his friend back to the fort, and for many days while they tended each others wounds, the two kindred spirits buried the dead. Calidan came last, and from his body Krayth took a token of his friendship -Calidan's belt. Besrim's corpse would know no last rites, and Krayth took from it another token. Besrim still wore the necklace Krayth had fashioned for him so many years ago... The Anima's mind and very being were at war. His inner conflicts raged into a terrible climax, but all the while Azur remained. In the end, from so much death grew something new that neither creature had ever known. Love. Finally, when all the dead were at rest and Krayth found his inner peace, they parted from the ruins of their fateful battle.

They traveled together to many places. Their feet knew the ground of every nation, and everywhere they went they sought to right the wrongs of others. Their love grew, and grew with every villain slain, until they finally arrived in The Devil's Eye Desert. There, the many tribes of the desert knew the weight of oppression. A coven of fifteen Vampire Witch Doctors had enslaved the desert's peoples, and their tyranny knew no bounds. As these Blood Barons forced the tribes to die in their mines to harvest the desert's precious gems and minerals, they lounged in their lavish underground sanctum - a city large enough for thousands but only shared by their megalomaniacal few. The tribesmen were proud, fierce and cultured, but they could not fight the powers that bound them. Compelled by their plight, Azur and Krayth rose up. The Revolution began slowly... fear turned to anger, and anger turned to violence. A witch doctor was slain in the open, and. suddenly there was a massacre in the desert. Tribes united against their oppressors, and following Azur Bascule's charge, they stormed the underground city and killed the Blood Barons down to the last man.

Krayth served the Devil's Eye Desert as Lord Valdiir Tal'Deraz, alongside his beloved mate. It was a title never before given to any man of the Desert. For the first time in his life, he had found the acceptance of the people, and for the first time in the desert the tribes rallied together as one. Azur led beside him -neither in front nor behind- as the Lady of The Devil's Eye. Finally, there was peace. Finally, their love had found a place to nest and call home. All seemed well.

Then, no more than a year later, the nightmare came. Krayth's heart freezing vision of slaying his lover as the world drowned in its own blood. Then came the attack on Triwinds. The Plague General Ivy. His brush with death. Her brutal end. A guard. Two words. "Azur, she..." He had not even been present. He had not seen her since the battle began. And there she was, bones broken and body torn in the streets. There had been no parting words, and her corpse wore the slice of a blade through her belly...

    Description:
"Jack of all Trades" is Bloods Enhanced ability to use more then one "Chosen Weapon". Basically she becomes a weapon master capable of specializing in many ranged and close combat weapons, with the consequence of not being able to learn any elemental skills (no elemental skills). This increases her learning ability when learning weapon styles and how to wield different weapons (-4 posts for learning weapon skills/styles, no teacher bonuses at all). This ability also cancels out the weakness from her class about her chosen weapon being broken since she can have unlimited chosen weapons, thus when she needs to get a weapon repaired she doesn't have to re-learn how to use it. Blood also gains a +1 strength bonus to the projectile's speed, since weapons like the Grapple Gauntlet, or Crossbow don't deal additional damage based on strength.

    【.background information.】

    In-depth Back-story:

Blood's real name is Theodora Iben'la Ahad. But ever since she entered the assassin order she refused to go by her real name. Instead she goes by "Blood", since she likes the crimson color of blood when its out of the body.

Now Theodora's childhood was a rather normal one at first. She grew up with a mother and father and one older brother. They lived in a small village not to far from Triwinds, it was ruled by the Blood Barons. Back when she was 9 her mother was killed in a war, and that's when her father made her brother (who was 12 at the time) join the Blood Barons, but back then was code named the "Assassin's Order", which he belonged to. Theodora was mostly left by herself during these times since her dad and brother were off with the Barons doing jobs.

After three years Theodora joined the "Assassins Order", after her brother had left, and began her basic training with a mentor. One day during her training session when another student was attacking her with a wooden blade she suddenly grew scales. That was when Theodora learned of her bloodline that she inherited from her mother, who was a Draconian. At that time the Blood Barons restrained her and held her in a prison cell for three months, all the while they ran tests on her. These tests were simple at first, then they got more complex and evolved into full blown experiments. It was the first time the Blood Barons had their hands on a Draconian, and they wanted to see what they could do with it.

After two years of torture and harsh experimentation, Theodora swore an oath to the Void while alone in her cell. Once the oath was completed she suddenly found the strength to break free of her bonds and escape the cell out into the testing facility. From there she roamed the halls killing everyone who wore a lab-coat like robe with transformed dragon claws. This was how she required the name of Blood, it was a name given to her by the survivors of the massacre. After killing almost everyone in the facility Blood returned back to her home village, but found that it was burnt to the ground by the Blood Barons. Blood eventually found a chest hidden under a floor board where her house use to stand. Inside the chest was some light armor and white clothes. That's when Blood acquired her signature look, one that would soon become famous around the nation.

Blood gained her fame during the Devils Eye revolution, which was lead primarily by Azur Bascule. Blood had rallied with all of the other tribes and stormed Andalusia with Azur and the tribes. Blood had a much larger role than the tribesmen did, because she killed off every last assassin that worked for the Blood Barons. During the attack the Assassins were the main force which defended the remaining Blood Barons when their guards turned against them. Although some Assassins were killed by tribesmen, most of them were killed single-handed by Blood, this included the second to last Blood Baron, who happened to be the Assassins main leader. And this was how her name became famous and feared around Devil's Eye.

During her confrontation with the last Blood Baron, Blood learned of why she was experimented on, and this only drove her into a blood frenzy. She went berserk and killed the man by ripping his body apart bit by bit with her dragon claws. By the time she was done she was soaked in his blood, and this scared most of the tribesmen. She stood there for a while over the shredded corpse of the Blood Barons body, to most she looked like a demon straight from hell, to others she was a savior, but to herself she was a monster. That's the point at which she was asked her name by a man, she had told him her name was Blood, and he spread it around. She never asked for any fame, but she was given it. And before any further questions could be asked Blood escaped heading off to find somewhere to call home in the desert.

After six months of surviving out in the desert alone Blood finally went back to Andalusia and was given a small apartment as a gift from the people. Now she silently lives out her life assassinating people when needed and sticking to the shadows. Her only fear is that she'll turn into the monster she never wishes to become.

Areth was not supposed to be living the life she is now...
Years ago, she had a wondrous family. They lived simply as farmers outside Indelca, working their feilds happily. Yet, the peace that the Valencia's lived daily was fated to end.
One day six years ago, a man collapsed near the feild that Areth and her father were working in. Her father immediately rushed to the man's aid, and brought him back to the hosue. He was badly injured, his body adorned with cvuts, bruises, and worst of all, gouges of skin missing. The Valencia's took to taking care of the man, nursing him back to health. All the while, he never uttered a word. Instead, he smiled politely and accepted the help that was offered.
Areth herself began visiting the man many times throughout the day to talk to him, telling him stories of the farm, her family, and sometimes even trying to read him books (though at this time she could not read well). She had taken a liking to him, and felt as if a form of bond had been born between the two.
Months passed before the man was well. As he was back to strength, he finally spoke. His words were simple, and seemingly kind. "I thank you for helping me. As repayment, I offer to take your daughter and teach her much. She will become highly educated and will excel in life. Is this acceptable?" The man explained that he was a noble of a far land, and was had escaped an assassination while visiting here those many months ago when the family found him. Immediately Areth's parents were joyous. They would never be able to pay for an education theirselves, and accepted the man's words quickly. They packed Areht up fast, and in only a day, the two were set to leave to the man's land. As Areth was waving goodbye to her family as she headed down the road with the man, a terrible event took place; something that is still burned into Areth's memory to this day. The man grasped her shoulder, and smiled to her. "Learn well from me, and you shall prosper. Forget all of your past my dear, and only live for the present. Now, say your final goodbye to this place." With that, the man outstretched his hand towards her home, which immediately went up in an explosion. Areth watched in horror, before being led away by the man. So scarred by the sight was Areth that she never fought the man, but also never spoke for the next few years of life taht she had.
During the five years of arduous training that Areth endured, the man experimented and played with Areth's being, tormenting her to no end. He always said it was for 'a higher purpose,' but Areth never believed that.
Now, with her body turned in ways that Areth could never understand, she faces the world alone, her master having disappeared.

    【.Background Information.】
Her body stirs within the endless space that her goddess enclosed her in...a hibernation she was put in for her own protection. Protection from those who call forth evil to devastate the lands, the evil that lay at the takers hands.
Protection she was born for..raised for..to protect the good, to protect the light that shall see through the dark..put into the space only few know about..only none care to talk about.

"Arise Seraphiel...the time you are needed has come forth..arise..you must awaken..... my sister." the stern but sweet voice plead.

Any other and the fallen would not have stirred..would have preferred to stay dormant..to not serve..to not be needed..but..this was the one being..the one entity that needed her, for the time she was put into hibernation..into another dimension..she was to be awoken.

Memories...memories from a long long time ago arose..and the fallen began to move, her brain regaining what was lost.

    -Many ages ago:

"Please, please my lady! We must get you ready!" Cordelia pleased, running through Seraphiel's room like a mad banshee.
Grabbing the angel's ceremonial garbs, her hairbrushes..makeup and other utensils that would be needed..the handmaiden scurried over to the 7 foot, 2 inch angel, who sprawled out on her canopy bed..eating whatever fruit was brought to her earlier that morning.
She stared at the maid with an amused gaze, finally after what seemed like eternity she tilted her head back and let out a rich hearty laugh.
"You know...have you not been my maid sense my birth , I would not let someone so low speak to me as you are now.." she said slowly, licking the juice off of each finger.
The maid threw the stuff down on the chest at the foot of the bed, and turned a shade of red that the sun would have envied.
"Have we not been friends , I would refrain from saying, that if you dont get up, I will kick your angelic behind, and drag you to the celebration bare a**. Now lets go..her grace is waiting to bestow you your honor!"
Letting out a chuckle, Seraphiel sat up from her leaning position, and scooted foreword enough to place her feet on the cold floor, hissing as if it discomforted her. Cordelia only rolled her eyes, and took the amazon angel's movements at a sign of her willing to move.
They knew one another all to well...

Little Time passes before shes ready..

"Pital will be most upset if I dont show up, she made that blatantly obvious from the last time we met..come now Cordelia..we must be going, you dont want to keep them waiting." she said as she sauntered out with her long flowing light pink silks, the color of her light clothing going nicely with her parlor white skin, and bright blond hair.
"I..oh..you!" Cordelia huffed as she was clearly being mimicked.

Being called the "Ceremony" would have you think of somthing of a party..where many gather to celebrate, to behold this joyous occasion...but no, only the goddess Pital stood at attention atop of her platform of ceremony , wearing a gown of the finest threads and colors..Seraphiel tried hard not to be envious of the beautiful women..but that was like telling a fish not to swim, making eye contact, Seraphiel winked and the goddess only nodded back..trying to keep a sly smile off of her face. Besides her was the cleric who would unify the two, so she had to remain serious and stern..he was clearly a grumpy man.
Behind Seraphiel, Cordelia cleared her throat to get the angel's attention back on task.
This day...would be one of the best Id ever had..had it not been ruined.

Fibers connecting, fingers twitching..neck moving, arms, legs starting to move...all signs of the angel coming forth from her slumber.
"There you go...your almost here." the voice said softly, tempting the angel to wake.

As the Cleric spoke the words that would bind Seraphiel to the goddesses service as an arms-women, a loud "Thwak" could be heard, before the deafening blast engorged the room ..thrown down to the ground..it took moments before Seraphiel came to..wings strewn over her, she smelled burning fabric mixed with hair before she realized it was coming from her. Head ringing she snapped to...an attack..an attack to have the bonding broken..getting her wings before her, she stood up and looked around the room...Cordelia..her longest known friend, one she counted as high as a sister..lay dead on the floor..her eyes staring up into nothing.
Howling as bestial as any mother would her young howled through the corridors...picking up a piece of wall, she turned twords the blast..clouds of soot and smoke stained the way..open to attack she was, but she no longer cared..her friend had died in a mindless attack..one that did not have to happen had she just stayed home.
"Protect your goddess" Cordelia's voice said in the back of Seraphiel's mind.
Ashamed, she forgot about Pital...turning her head, she saw the beautiful women with concern etched onto her face, as well as malevolent fury...but sadness of all as she met the angel's gaze.
Quickly the two came together..but before Seraphiel could speak..the goddess beat her to it. Grabbing her shoulders she spoke..words the young angel would never forget.
"This is not your fight young one, grow strong in mind as well as heart..protect the ones you hold dear, as well as the ones who wish good upon this world. You will do it..I believe in you..goodby my Seraphiel, you are now one of the fallen." and with that, the goddess laid a gentle kiss on the angels brow...causing the young angels eyes to roll back into her head and fall asleep until she was awoken.

"Awaken...Awaken Seraphiel...your time is now, you are needed my sister. Cordelia's voice shouted. Was it her sister? Or was it her subconscious?

Eyes opening, heart thudding, body extended from enclosed position...wings opening to give an open span. "I hear you my sister! I have awaken!" She shouted into the deep space, being brought from her dimension to the world below..to be used as she was born and raised to do.

    e n e r g y c o l o r: Silver that fades into a pitch black.

    e n e r g y r e s e r v e: 480

    e l e m e n t: Water/Ice

    Rules for Dark Avengers:
•If a Dark Avenger attempts to use any shadow/darkness related ability outside of the shadows in a well-lit environment, its energy cost is one rank higher than normal.

•If a Dark Avenger attempts to use any shadow/darkness related ability in a shadowless environment, it requires three times the energy and a d20 must be rolled. On a roll of 1-7, the ability fails as it is too bright to manifest.

•Any Paranormal Bloodline may develop the strength to become a Dark Avenger. Humans do not have the strength or supernatural senses required to become a Dark Avenger, and Rykros' more celestine or artificial bloodlines such as Highborne or Anima Machinae are unable to walk the path of a Dark Avenger.

•Dark Avengers' personal obsessions are observed in their strength with a Chosen Weapon. Upon becoming a Dark Avenger, a character selects ONE weapon and trains incessantly with it to develop uncanny skill with the weapon. Whenever they are using this weapon actively in combat, a Dark Avenger gets a +1 bonus to their strength. Dark Avengers DO NOT get this bonus unless they are using their Chosen Weapon. Should their Chosen Weapon be broken or rendered unusable, it takes 20 posts of training with the weapon for them to regain their Chosen Weapon bonus. Chosen Weapon: Edge of Eternal Reticence.

Stats: +2 Speed, +1 Strength only when using chosen weapon.

    b a t t l e s t r e n g t h:
•Dark Avengers are arguably the finest trackers in the world, capable of smelling, seeing and marking a creature's very soul.

•Dark Avengers gain abilities to confuse, trap and incapacitate their quarry

•Dark Avengers are masters of deception and stealth

•Dark Avengers gain abilities to manipulate shadows and darkness, making their stealth abilities all the more formidable. They also develop the ability to cast shadow glyphs - traps that have different affects based on the glyph.

    b a t t l e w e a k n e s s:

•Dark Avengers cannot use Medium or Heavy armor

•Dark Avengers' shadow manipulation abilities are limited to 50 feet in range, unless a skill specifically states otherwise.

•Dark Avengers rely heavily on their Chosen weapons, and this dependency can be exploited

•While Dark Avengers are not inherently evil, the Oaths they have sworn and the rituals they've undertaken make them particularly vulnerable to spells of bright or divine light. Any Dark Avenger caught in the wake of such a spell, regardless of its rank, is blinded and disoriented for one round. Any darkness or shadow related skills in use are dispelled. Any Dark Avenger affected by such a spell that is higher than their rank is disoriented and blinded for 2 posts PLUS the difference between their rank and their opponent's

•Dark Avengers lack the constitution of many melee classes

•Dark Avengers' shadow and darkness related abilities are more difficult to use in well lit environments

•When a Dark Avenger is killed, their Soul is immediately seized by The Shadow World and sucked into its dark abyss. A dead Dark Avenger CANNOT BE RESURRECTED, REVIVED OR OTHERWISE REINCARNATED, EVEN THROUGH DIVINE MEANS, UNLESS THEIR SOUL IS RECLAIMED.

    t a l e n t:
Combative Talent or Non Combative: Non Combative

Talent Name: Intwining of the Souls

Description: Edge's evolution has taken some odd twists along the way, the Exodus physically fusing itself with Kinetav in a few various aspects that cause obvious drawbacks as well as benefits.

Drawbacks: Every time that the Anima recalls a memory from one of the souls in his Exodus, Edge's voice begins to physically intwine itself with that of Kinetav, giving his voice a hollow, noticeable twin voice for 2 posts. Every time that Kinetav thirsts for a soul or is angry/upset with anything or anyone, tendrils of blood red, just like the color in Edge, will begin to crawl into his right eye and will remain for 2 posts. Whether these conditions change to 3 posts or stay just as they are in the RP is yet to be determined depending on the power of the souls in Edge (aka if he takes a master's soul or above at any point or possibly even when he becomes a master himself and Edge grows with him, these drawbacks might go to 3 posts a piece. Your thoughts on this would be much appreciated). This causes drawbacks because it becomes easy to tell just what his intentions are or that something is up with the Anima, both foe and friend able to read him alike. It causes his true nature to be more easily exposed as well... both of these drawbacks would also occur right after a transformation into another soul's form.

Benefits: Kinetav can use the souls inside of Edge (current and future) to create generic or specific disguises of difference races and both sexes. This ability takes one post to prepare, and the disguise forms on the second post. To specify, Kinetav will be able to mimic any race and sex of any NPC or RPC that he slays using Edge of trainee or higher. If he killed a Draconian male, then he could transform into a draconian male, but not a female draconian, so on so forth. He can mimic personality, looks to a precise point, touch, and voice. He cannot mimic aura color or smell, and Edge can transform into a weapon that the race would more likely use but it has to keep its core the same. For non-OP purposes, the races he can only meld to (for now) are the basic humanoid and a humanoid with long ears like an Elf's, both male and female.

This talent does not change the appearance of armor. Fake armor plates or a cloak will be used in order to hide his true armor underneath it, or the armor itself will be taken off.

The weapon *is* able to change the color of the metal blade that it is using, but the core's color nor shape may be changed. Most of the time, this Exodus will most likely be hiding under the cloak and of course at Expert Rank, underneath his armor at all times.

Since touch *can be mimicked*, he can mimick the feel of a small breasted woman in situations that call for it... at least the upstairs part. As for the downstairs, kinda impossible to hide it, but if a character dives for his crotch it'll be just that much more funny.

While disguised as a soul, the current soul's memories, Kinetav's memories, and Edge's sight do not trigger the Hollow Voice Effect. Digging into a soul other than the one he is disguised as for a memory will trigger the Hollow voice effect. Anger will effect the Anima based on a D20 roll should he be angered by any person 2 posts in a row (first post, he shrugs it off. if that same person angers him again next post, it's a D20 roll. 11 and higher, his anger is in check and he can shrug it off permanently. 10 and under, and the red tendrils creep into his right eye and linger for 3 posts).

This talent *is* somewhat progressive. Upon reaching master level himself or the acquiring of a soul that is master rank or above, both the drawbacks and benefits get slightly better/worse. The drawback is that both the Hollow voice effect and eye effect linger for 3 posts. The benefit is that the aura of the disguised soul is mimicked too, making smell the only thing that he cannot mimic. This makes him able to trick anyone who cannot keenly smell him or do not have Sense Soul.

    Combative Talent or Non Combative:
    Combative
    Talent Name:
    Show No Mercy
Kinetav, deep down under that protective and generally cool-headed shell, holds an innate thirst and love of the hunt for a Marked Soul; after successfully marking a soul, his mind then settles into a battle rhythm that causes every attack against the Marked Soul to cost one less rank in energy cost. In addition, attacks that naturally cause Enfeebling occur when pieces of shadow or the Void linger in an opponent and weaken it; the shadows "mark" the target because the Void inside of the opponent can sense the presence of a soul to be possibly taken by its agent, granting Kinetav a dark blessing that also reduces energy costs of abilities against that target by one rank (Energy cost reductions of Mark Soul and Enfeebling do NOT stack). A target that is both Enfeebled and Marked allows Kinetav to become the most familiar with an opponent's soul, allowing his single-target attacks with the Edge of Eternal Reticence and single-target shadow based attacks to deal one rank higher damage against that target; loss of either Mark Soul or Enfeeble causes this extra damage bonus to be lost until both effects are back on the target.

w e a p o n (s): Exodus: “Edge of Eternal Reticence”: A smooth edged, keen, foot-long dagger that is black with a Dark Purple symbol carved into both sides: along with crimson red veins that seem to get more organized along the blade as it levels up with its master, the core is a normal red smooth gem with a blood red aura inside of it; this blade cannot see until the Anima is an Adept. It can also become a two foot long sword for normal fighting if emergencies when the assassin is exposed.
    http://s1220.photobucket.com/albums/dd457/Feanan/?action=view¤t=Verideathul-1-1.png

    Exodus Skills:
    Passives:
Regeneration unless struck in the core, the core being a red smooth gem with a blood red mist inside of it.

    Needle of Darkness:Grade E
Pointing the tip of the Exodus at a target, the Edge of Eternal Reticence summons and shoots a small needle-like bolt of energy by channeling the energy of the wielder's soul. Does a rank higher damage than its wielder's rank if fired at close range, and a rank lower damage if fired at long range. 3 Post Cooldown.

    Soul Absorbing: Grade E Passive
Killing blows from the Edge of Eternal Reticence, like all Exodi, cause the targets soul to become trapped within the blade; the Anima gets a bonus to str or speed depending on the dead opponent's primary stat between the two.

    Weapon Form: Longsword: Grade E
When failing to kill a target at the first strike, Verideathul often shifts his Exodus into the form of a two foot long sword for longer range. Only one weapon transformation per post, must be done before the attack or parry.

Weapon Form: Twin Blades: Grade D
The Edge of Eternal Reticence can now become two blades, but are dependent of one another's transformations. Only the weapon with the core in it has regenerative abilities.

Quintessence of the Edge: Grade D
The Edge evaporates save for the core, which can then be stored in a socket in Kinetav's gloves. It takes 2 posts for full regeneration of this weapon from the gauntlets into either Zealot Blade form or any Linked Weaponry, with the first post being regeneration in the gauntlet and the second forming a usable blade.

Weapon Form: Zealot Blade: Grade D
The Edge of Eternal Reticence turns into a two foot long Zealot blade. If the core is within Quintessence of the Edge mode and the core stored in the gauntlets, it takes two posts to fully regenerate the blade.

    Weapon Form: Pistol: Grade C
The Exodus turns into a pistol, able to shoot bullets up to 25 feet in front of it. Not often used by the Anima as he prefers stealthy kills or melee combat.

    Self Awareness: Grade C Passive
With the link between Anima and Exodus growing, the blade is now aware of its position within twenty-five feet of its wielder and can relay information on its whereabouts should it get lost or disarmed for any reason. Range of ability to relay information increases by 10 feet at Rank B, and then 15 feet at rank A to allow for a maximum range of 50 feet of self-awareness.

Weapon Form: Linked Weaponry: Grade C
The Exodus can now link itself and the wrists of its wielder, giving the Anima an ability to throw the blade at enemies and pull it back at will. If the core is within Quintessence of the Edge mode and the core stored in the gauntlets, it takes two posts to fully regenerate the blade.

    a r m o r: See photo. Light armor alloy.

Gauntlets of Projection (See profile pic for gauntlet visual):

As an adolescent, Kinetav knew that he'd have to wander around eventually because of his birth and class. For a means of easy, on-the-go mapping and hacking into abandoned buildings for refuge, the Anima paid a friend to design and create these gauntlets just for him. Via a mental command, the gauntlets can project a 3-D screen for maps that can also turn two dimensional for hacking against a surface such as an electrical lock or computer.

Each hack requires three posts, and each post a D20 is rolled; detection is based on those rolls and the area the hacker is in:

Shadowy, Dark Environments: 6 or higher, no detection
Well Lit Environments: 11 or higher, no detection
Shadowless Environments: 16 or higher, no detection

Failing a roll causes all hostile guards or RPCs in the area to notice Kinetav, and to rush at him during that post. Kinetav *can* keep hacking, but next post he would take damage a rank higher than normal as he is especially vulnerable unless he discontinued the hack. If surrounded by friendly guards, doesn't take damage if all attacks are successfully blocked by said guards.

Successful hacks on an unknown system upload additional data from that system, or if on a door uploads additional data about that one door to an additional, seperate from the gauntlets data chip that Kinetav carries in his belt, and can only download additional information from that chip to the gauntlets via a hardline link overnight.

CANNOT HACK LIVE MEACHA RPCS FOR INFO OR ANY OTHER PURPOSE.

Kinetav has put a new socket into the inner forearm of his right gauntlet, which requires S ranked posts to move around the circuitry and put in the socket. This socket, through mechanical means such as cogs and circuitry that will be routed to it, will be able to open and close through pressing a button on the opposite side of the gauntlets near the wrist. The socket is only big enough for the core itself, and therefore Edge must be in the Quintessence of the Blade mode initially to fit in it. The cover of the socket is made of the natural material of the gauntlets that Kinetav had to cut out to install it, and as the socket fits perfectly into the glove it is not obvious or really even noticeable that a modification has been made. It takes an entire post to get the core out of the socket as the core is securely placed into the socket.

There are certain holes from the socket to the outside of the right gauntlet, however, allowing the blade to manifest through them and form blades outside of the gauntlets with the core still inside of the armor. As the core *must be physically attached to the right blade*, the only forms that can be used while the core is in the gauntlet is a Zealot blade that is permanently attached to the armor (custom skill application will be made if this idea is approved) or any form of Chained Weaponry (See C-ranked Skill) that takes two posts to form as the entire blade must be regenerated. Once the blade is regenerated, it then can be used as Twin Blades or any other form as long as the right blade stays physically attached to the core (Chained Weaponry or Zealot Blade, again).

Impaling recall *is* able to be used should the gauntlet be lost or the arm fall off, but doing so will completely destroy the gauntlet and require a month of time IRL to repair using mechanist's tools.

    【.skill roster.】
    Anima Skills
    Exodus: Soul Eater
The most basic and natural skill for the Anima. When they have made the killing blow to an opponent their sword naturally feeds upon the dying bodies soul, absorbing it's power nutrients and dispersing it between itself and its Anima owner. If the person killed was more skilled in Speed, they gain a rank in speed. If the person killed was more skilled in Strength, they gain a rank in strength. To prevent ganking, this skill cannot be used on Trainee-ranked characters.

    Elemental Skills:

    Bubble
    Rank: E
Description: You create bubbles around you. This is used as a way to distract your opponent so you can escape or attack.

    Water Trident
    Rank D
A trident made of water shoots out to knock over your opponent, leaving him on the ground for escape or another attack.

    Class Skills:

    •Soul Sense
    RANK: E
    SKILL TYPE: Passive
A trademark skill of all Dark Avengers, Soul Sense grants them the ability to sense all souls in their visible vicinity. Soul Sense shows a Dark Avenger each soul's distinctive characteristics -it's color, aura, size and power. Soul Sense reveals a character's Primary Element, and their Rank to the Dark Avenger. At the rank of Master, Soul Sense extends to a Dark Avenger's sense of smell and spans the breadth of a nation, and by Hero a Dark Avenger's every sense can be used to identify a soul throughout Rykros.

    •Soul Mark

    •Precision Strike
    RANK: E
    SKILL TYPE: Single Attack
Using their agility and dexterity, a Dark Avenger makes a single surgical attack against their target. If the target is currently the Dark Avenger's Marked Soul, it does damage as if it were one rank higher.

    •Track

    •Move Silently
    RANK: E
    SKILL TYPE: Active
A Dark Avenger is a skilled fighter, but most effective when he utilizes the element of surprise. By moving carefully and distributing their weight from the heel to the ball of their feet, a Dark Avenger can move without making any noise. While Moving Silently, a Dark Avenger cannot run, jump or perform any similar acrobatic feats, and when they make an attack the skill's benefits end. If a Dark Avenger has been detected, Move Silently has no effect

    •Glimpse into Darkness

    •Skill Name: Anonymous
    Skill Rank: D
Description: A Dark Avenger gains the ability to darken the shadows on their face and body, masking their identity and making them an unidentifiable face among the crowd.

    •Shadow Step

    •Feral Leap
    RANK D
A Dark Avenger is most lethal their instincts thrust them at their enemies. When behind his enemy, a Dark Avenger can make a running leap to strike with their weapon and knock their pray off their feet. If the Dark Avenger's strike hits, their foe is knocked prone. A prone foe requires one post to stand upright through non-magical means. This skill has a three post cooldown.

    •Feint
    RANK D
A Dark Avenger begins a seemingly direct attack towards their target, but feints at the last moment leaving their target vulnerable and open to attack. This skill has a three post cool down.

    Transmute Darkness
    RANK C
Drawing on their powers and the knowledge granted to them, a Dark Avenger is capable of giving form and mass to all manner of darkness and shadow.

    Shadow Manipulation
    RANK C
    Skill Type: Active
Upon being blessed with Hands of Darkness at the rank of Adept, a Dark Avenger can manipulate shadows and darkness freely. Shadows and darkness manipulated using this ability remain intangible unless transmuted using Transmute Darkness.

    Linger
    RANK C
    Skill Type: Active
A Dark Avenger may choose to linger in darkness after Shadow Stepping or Shadow Melding, granting them nearly full sensory perception (Sight, Smell, Touch, and Hearing) of the area and activities around them but remain intangible and undetectable as part of the shadow. The use of Blinding or Holy light on any shadow where a Dark Avenger is lingering will immediately thrust them into the Material Plane, disorient and blind them for 2 rounds, and bar them from using an of their Dark abilities during that time.

    Vicious Wound
    RANK C
A Dark Avenger shows no mercy in combat, and moves to mutilate and cripple their foes whenever necessary.

    【.background information.】
Born looking like a normal human, Kinetav grew up like any ordinary child: he went to school, trained in physical exercise, and everything else. His father was a prominent man within the city, each day his job calling him to center of the city and working as an official. His mother stayed at home, always wielding an Exodus herself as she took care of him. His parents loved him dearly, and treated him no differently although Kinetav always wondered why both he and his mother had a weapon by their side at all times and why his mother never went out often. It was nice though, as the young boy knew that he always had that extra voice within his mind, soothing him and comforting him. He understood that somehow it came from his blade, and that his soul was linked to the beautiful blood red gem in the hilt.

He was schooled at home for a good portion of his life, eventually being sent to a regular school in his middle teenager years at his own request. He always had to hide his blade, as per his mother's instructions, in his clothes...but that voice never faded, and Edge kept asking him why he denied his existance in the real world. Edge's voice would often mess up his talking with other kids, Kinetav accidentally responding to Edge's voice instead of the others as they called him weird and walked awway. As he grew up, he understood more and more about the Exodus from his Anima mother, and his bond grew as he learned to not let Edge's voice translate into real life conversation during his early teenager years.

Finally a girl became interested in Kinetav when the Anima was 14, and as they began to get closer there was no keeping Edge a secret; after months of following his mother's orders he pulled out the blade and explained it to the girl, who unknown to Kinetav was the daughter of the High Priestess who would later capture him. The High Priestess knew exactly what the nature of Edge was as her daughter let it slip out, and from there things just got worse and worse for Kinetav. The girl was forced to break up with him, and the girl left nothing to the imagination as to why, telling Kinetav that eventually he would give in to the thirst. Kinetav was kicked out of school, and began homeschooling again although it now gave him no pleasure. He had tasted, even if for a little while, the acceptance of society and the warmth of a girl...he began to question why he was "doomed" to fall into the thirst. Kinetav denied this dooming passionately in his heart, his morals of justice and kindess well implanted into him...but these recent events triggered a series of mental screams within his mind as the thirst began to consume him. Within a year, the screams that echoed within his mind became unbearable.

On a certain day, his parents were not home as they had gone out for a date, a thing that they would do about once a month at night and it was normal. Kinetav walked into the kitchen, and as he searching hungrily through the cabinets he found himself to be out of food. Hiding his Exodus underneath his clothing again, he wondered out into the street, each second being tormented by the thirst and desire to kill the people walking by. A group of men from the same school he had gone recognized him and ran up to him, one of the them leading the rest and taunting that the Anima was weird and that the kid was dating the girl that Kinetav had earlier. The thirst was too unbearable, Kinetav's anger and Edge's thirst combining into an act of rage as the Exodus was drawn and tasted the blood of the young man's heart; the look in Kinetav's eyes was that of satisfaction and joy as he twisted Edge in the man's chest before pulling it out. As he tried to stave off the other boys, he was punched and thrown to his knees, grasped as they declared that he would be brought before the High Priestess.

Kinetav was brought out in chains before an assembly in a local temple, the High Priestess presiding over his fate as the Anima looked, scared eyes glancing around at the throng of people with hatred and contempt in their eyes. Tears began to come to his eyes, wondering why this all was happening, what he had done, why he was being punished for this thirst, and why the thirst had appeared in the first place... and that's when he saw her, sitting in the crowd of Holy beings. Eraysia, who would become his best friend later on in his time of need, was just a little younger than him and a trainee within the temple. Her eyes were not those of judgement and contempt, but that of pity... his eyes couldn't tear away from hers, his glimpse turning into that of a "thank you' as he knew that at least one person in the room tried to understand him. But none the less that one girl wouldn't be able to sway the crowd...just when he thought he was doomed to whatever judgement, his father stormed into the room and claimed that the judgement must be proclaimed until Kinetav could get proper representation. The second that Kinetav got home with his parents, his parents began packing him as much food as possible and handed it to him. Kinetav was instructed to go find this guy who could make him some armor later on and house him as much as possible.

Kinetav spent two years pent up inside the house of the guy, Jason, who had owed Kinetav's father a favor many years back. Unknown to Jason, the thirst continued to plague Kinetav as the Anima would go out in a dark cloak and kill random people, absorbing their innocent souls against the very fiber of his moral being. The High Priestess and the other Priests scoured the town after stripping his father of his title and killing his mother, but it was so big that they could easily move from place to place. The Anima yearned for the light, wanted to feel the sun on his face again, wanted to walk into that temple accepted and thank that girl who seemed to take his side personally. But the Black Shev'Axjrum had "bigger" plans for the Anima, the Void master starting to call out to Kinetav as the Anima had killed countless people to satisfy his thirst. Ba'Shev promised him justice and power, and the ability to avenge his parents through a ritual that would grant him the ability...in exchange for his soul. About the same time that Ba'Shev began to speak, the High Priestess found where he was hiding and the Anima no longer had anywhere to run. He put on a suit of armor and the gauntlets that Jason had made for him, and ran out into the night as an 18 year old Anima.

He hacked into multiple abandoned buildings using the Gauntlets of Projection, and as Ba'Shev continued to ask him to bind his soul to the Void he weakened under the pressure of not being able to live in the Light. If the Light shunned him, he would turn to the Void instead. He began to gather up the people neccessary for the sacrifice (all of them priests as he wanted to get revenge), and one day as he bound and gagged a person he was found by a wandering Priest and chased through the alleyways. He lost himself quite easily in them before a hand grasped him from the side-door and pulled him inside all of the sudden, and as the Anima put a hand to Edge's hilt and turned to face the attacker as he lay on the floor, he paused and his eyes widened underneath the vizor. It was that same girl from the assembly, the one who looked like she took pity on him all those years ago; she blushed and introduced herself as he took off his vizor and told her who he was. Eraysa, the Cleric girl, never judged him although she was a person of the light, offering him refuge in her house. Even as the Anima brought in priests, bound and gagged, Eraysia's compassion and liking of the Anima made her understand and even accept the Anima's actions as she saw it as justice too. It took years to gather up the people and hold them long enough to actually perform the ritual; countless times other Holy Priests found him and chased him out, the Anima forced to drop the captured priest and lose the others before returning to Eraysia's house.

At last the ritual was ready to be performed, and as Eraysia and Kinetav carried out the men to a building one by one that was a good couple blocks down the street in the silence of night, Kinetav began the ritual. He told Eraysia to go home, and to wait for him there as he did not know what would happen. The building around him began to tear apart as the ritual was performed, each one of the men being slain by Edge and sating his hunger as Kinetav swore his soul to Ba'Shev and invoked her name. The entire block around him began to collapse in the Void, shadows and screaming of innocents audible even to Eraysia as the Holy Priestesses came running to the scene. With the ritual barely completed, Kinetav was forced to defend himself against the first of the Priests to arrive, killing the priest in cold blood but not before sustaining a heavy gash on his right leg. He limped back to Eraysia's house, his cloak and hood keeping him out of sight in the darkness before laying down on the couch at the Cleric's place. Eraysia saw the wound, and as usual came to heal it, but Kinetav felt a rather weird sensation as the woman came to heal him; the light began to burn as her hand glowed, and before he could yell for her to stop searing light tore through his leg and left an even bigger wound. Kinetav went blind and fell to the ground, sobbing in pain and wondering if he would ever be healed or see again. It was this same weakness to light that got him captured a few days later, the Anima's mind still sobbing that Eraysia could no longer heal him or possibly even care for him as he had clearly abandoned the Light.

He was dragged back before the assembly, and this time there was no delaying of his punishment. A portal was opened, and he was tossed through it in punishment, "The Light" banishing him to another planet. He fell hard onto the new ground, and wondered around until he found the Citadel gates. He was trained by Srin Azio for a little while before being sent to the Desert to retrieve Krayth as a student test, where he was bound and claimed to be Legion by the Desert guards. Fortunately for the Anima, Krayth was the Lord and happened to be an Anima Dark Avenger too. Now Kinetav lives among the wilders, trying to reassociate himself with life and the ability to be a part of society as he develops his powers and learns to protect again. A side of him still misses the old planet, however, as he always wears a locket around his neck of Eraysia...he hoped that she was okay...
