Akiko is indeed a Vocaloid3, but there's no word to whether she will be a Vocaloid for use only by the company for advertisements and the handfull of producers she was already given to, or if she will be available to the public to buy.

unrelated but i also heard that miku will be in IDOLM@aster (if i remember correctly, if not then imm sorry for getting hopes up and taking space.)

Some of the Vocaloid3s are disappointing, while others are the most amizing things ever. SeeU and Aoki Lapis are so good. But I was disappointed by Oliver's design, Mew's voice is sub-par at best in my opinion, and Akikoloid, while not bad, isn't the best. Also the Spanish Vocaloids' box art makes me really depressed at its badness.
These are all just personal sentiments, not trying to be hating on anyone's favorites.

Only a few of them are worth while.
I hate Lunas' design already. Generic 'goth' look. Ten bucks says she'll be instantly popular. =/
