The Magyars

Summary: Since arriving in the Carpathian basin shortly before the close of the 9th century, the Magyars have made their might felt throughout Germany, Italy, and beyond, their raids bringing devastation to Central Europe. A decisive blow might make them focus their efforts elsewhere, but such a thing is easier said than done.

The Magyars currently receive -1 to all die rolls as a result of recent battles.
Only 1/2 as many raiding parties as normal are generated as a result of recent battles.

The Eastern Marches

Summary: Much of the eastern frontier is made up not of cities and castles but of barbarian tribes. Asserting German authority in these lands will be a difficult proposition.

The frontier is currently being ignored in favor of internal affairs.

Foreign Affairs

Summary: Although powerful, the German kingdom does not exist in a vacuum: The western and central kingdoms of Charlemagne still exist, and and the civilized remains of Great Moravia and some tribes to the east are adopting Christianity on their own.

There are no current foreign issues occurring.
