I have decided that part of the problem with creationism is that creationists rarely actually talk about creationism with eachother.

Most people do not really think about things they've already decided they believe in, and this is especially true for creationists.

Creationists probably won't believe anything we have to say that might make them think about whether or not they're right. But, they are quite likely to believe someone from their own 'camp'; other creationists. Creationists will listen to eachother, and they will point out the flaws in eachother's arguments, and so they will reject illogical arguments. This will result in the eventual realisation of truth; be that creationist or not. (Obviously we know it's not, but we can't just tell them that.)

That is why we need a Creationism Guild. And I'm going to found it. I'm even going to create an inflammatory, derogatry animated sig for it as well.

If anyone would like to contribute to the funds for the CG, please post how much you would like to donate here. When the pledges surpass 20,000 gold, the 20,000 gold will be sent to me and I will found the guild.

If anyone has any problems with this idea or any suggestions, then please post them here.

I'll give 5,000g in the hopes that the guild works as planned.

I take it we send it to you.

An animated sig that I made for the Creationism Guild. It's not funny, and it's rather asinine. I figure creationists would go for that. Swearing and humour aren't hallmarks of Christianity.

I forked out $30 on letters and hawked them off to make them money (I don't like waiting) so I can afford to start a guild now.

I think it would make sense to delegate control of the new guild to creationists. Does anyone have any ideas? Frankly, I don't trusts creationists to run a guild properly, but it might be seen as a joke if I run two opposing guilds; especially since I obvious think so little of creationists.

Please post the names of creationists here so that I can post invitations to them from the creationism guild.

You can argue against creationists here at the creationism guild. Don't saturate this guild with slander and spam. If you have a point to make, make it. Keep it factual and logical. Try to make sure you fully understand your own argument before you post it, as you'll not convince anyone with a poorly thought out argument. Think about whether it is more appropriate to post or make a new thread in the creationism guild or the anticreationism guild. For example, it's rather pointless to discuss how to convince creationists in the creationism guild forum.

I don't think that there is a huge problem with you hosting both guilds, but it is biased. This is totally up to you, but if you'd like, then I will host the Creationism guild. THERE WILL BE NO FLAMING - (These are also ideas for the guild for whoever runs it) I think that there should be open discussion for people who actually can support their argument. I would expect that anyone requesting the guild has appropriate reasons for their decision, not just so they can come in and bash evolutionists, or other creationists. The person should be responsible...VERY responsible in order to run the guild.

I'm waiting until there is a large base of members for the creationism guild. I'll admit that it's very hard for me to run the creationism guild, but it's even harder to pick the right person to run it apart from me.

The two most important features that are needed in a founder or leader are long-term presence on Gaia and ability to work hard. I need to watch people for a long time to do that.

Also, I look out for people with good spelling and grammar. I'm very picky about that. It'll be a while before I pick anyone to run the creationism guild.

Is it just me, or did that guild entirely disappear?

I've no idea what's going on there. It's not the only guild to be having that problem.

Ooookay, that is an interesting idea, you know, to get information from creationists. Sort of a funny idea, but in a good way.

Wow, you people are biased. If you really wanted to prove to people that creationism isn't true, you wouldn't post some trap. I fell for it. I'm "creationist". Way to go, you caught me. Watcha gonna do now? You might as well accept me into your creationist guild, I've already applied.

Says alot about what you think of us. I joined this guild to get your opinions, because I cared. Possibly to evangelize, but that wasn't the core intent. Until you know us, don't pass judgement.

Of course we are biased...as are you... It's kinda hard for us not to be.

Oh and what creationist trap would that be btw?

Also if you read the average post from most creationists on this web site...You'll understand us a little better.
