This is a grove of oak trees which serves as a border between StormClan and SeaClan. In the center there is an almost straight line of trees, which serves as the exact marker. Cats will be marking along those trees, and the other trees also serve as good climbing practice. But remember not to hunt! There are a few bushes here and there, and in the corner of the clearing on the StormClan side is an old badger set. Remember to refresh your markers daily!

He was an odd cat, why should Rustdawn believe him when he said it was obvious? He paused by a tree to mark their border line before continuing along.] I mean, seriously. He's older than me but he acts like he's younger than me. I should stop thinking about her, that might make it less obvious. [There he was, telling himself to not believe his brother, and then he turns around and thinks of ways to make it less obvious, which clearly meant he was believing his brother. Rustdawn shook his head and tried to think of other things. His mind was so full these days. Not so much for patrols, but just to be out of camp. Miraclesky's eagerness showed in her round blue eyes as they neared the border. She could scent the fishy smell of SeaClan cats as the got closer to the line of trees that served as the border marker. She paused a moment to replace the scent marking on a tree before scuttling to catch up to the other two toms. Miraclesky blinked, her blue eyes watching the crystal water of the lake shimmering throught the trees.

His tail lashed slightly behind him, his ears flattening slightly when a gust of wind tousled his fur. He had finally decided to give up making effort to converse with his alter-self, finally convincing himself that it wasn't worth his time. It wasn't like it was possible for something like that to happen; their personalities conflicted too much. Instead, Cinderstreak kept his fixiated on the ground, a weary look crossing his face for a brief moment. The look disappeared when a voice sounded near him. His ears flickered slightly and he was about to look up to tell the younger warrior that he was quite fine. A quite similar, yet mocking voice made him stop.]
"Internal conflicts are quite the inconvenience, don't you agree?"
[Cinderstreak's head snapped up abruptly at the voice, blinking. Those words, he wasn't sure if they had just sounded in his head, or if they had been spoken out loud. He stared in an unintentionally alarmed way at Rustdawn. He didn't say anything, he just stared, his thoughts jumbling for a long moment. An awful cackling echoed in the back of his head, making his eyes narrow ever so slightly, his ears flickering annoyedly. From receiving a reaction like that, in theory, if any other cat was forced to put up with such a being, then they would have assumed that since he was practically laughing his tail off, then that would have confirmed their concerns; unfortunately, Cinderstreak knew him much too well. Knowing him, he was probably trying to mess with his head so Cinderstreak would be the one to make himself look loony.
Cinderstreak decided to ignore what he had or hadn't said before and gave Rustdawn an apologetic smile.]
"I'm quite fine, young one,"
[he sighed.]
"I'm just not in the best of moods, I suppose. It must be because it seems like a storm is brewing."
[He didn't bother looking up at the sky for confirmation.The last part had been a total lie, of course. Cinderstreak honestly couldn't tell if it was going to rain or not, not that he would particularly care if it did.]

And I think I should wrap this up considering how long we've been out here, and since I'm going to be gone for a bit. I take full responsibility for the inactiveness here. eek [Cinderstreak quietly returned his attention to the border after reassuring Rustdawn that he was quite alright. He pursed his lips as he continued to stare blankly in the direction of SeaClan. The border, however, was the last thing on the gray tabby's mind. To tell the truth, he was quietly scolding himself for showing so much reaction to Night's thoughts. He was aware that if it continued, not only would everyone think that something was up, but they would most definitely think he was nuttier than a male squirrel at the end of leafbare.
Giving the area once last glance, he turned to the rest of the group, nodding briskly.]
"It doesn't seem like there is anything out of the ordinary around here, so we can head back to camp, I suppose,"
[he meowed, nodding slightly to himself. Without many more thoughts, he quietly started back toward camp, the lack of interest in what he was doing evident in his face as he crossed through the undergrowth.]

This was a popular resting and/or climbing spot for StormClan cats because of the tall oak trees, though occasionally a clumsy apprentice would tumble onto SeaClan's side of the border.
SeaClan was rather understanding about this, though. Shiftstar was similar to Moss-star in that she was not yearning for a fight every chance she could get, unlike NightClan. I rather liked the young leader, though I thought it sad she had only spent less than a moon as deputy before Moss-star passed on...
Shaking my head, I approached the grove casually, sniffing for any SeaClan scents that crossed the border. The grove was thick with the scent of leaves and prey, mostly because we were forbidden to hunt here; it was almost as if the prey knew the grove was a "safe" zone.
I glanced back at the other warriors, wondering if they scented anything.]

[I hummed softly to myself as I padded after Thunderflight, lost in thought. Would I make a mistake again? This time in front of the deputy? I hoped not. Though I didn't want to seem to be trying to hard, that would be obvious. No. I knew better than that though. I sighed and clambered up an oak tree and swept my gaze along the border, trying to see if I could scent anything unfamiliar. Or see something out of place from up here. Shaking my head, I climbed back down and padded back to Rustdawn's side.]

Whisperwind looked at Rustdawn when he spoke. She scented the air, her cranium moving in many directions to get the best judgement. "I can smell prey, StormClan, and SeaClan"[ She said to Rustdawn, pointing out much of the obvious, but of course. He had asked if they smelled anything. "Other than that, i'd have to say no" She said, which was amazing. The feline had spoken more than just a few words, or whispered anything. But she realized this and quickly whispered a 'sorry' to them.
