exclaim exclaim exclaim Continuation of the events described HERE.
After Alcmene was injured by former Ilanga'Izwe lions Dusana and Mirihi, she was nursed back to health by the Shaman and her apprentice. She was out and about in time for the other Ilanga lions to be cleared for initiation and resumed what duties she was able to, making a point of being seen alive and well by much of the pride. Even she did not realize she was getting worse until it was too late. Despite the care and help of everybody who was able, Queen Alcmene has died from complications from the injuries she received in the attack (i.e. infection).
What happens next?
- Once the initial shock wears off, Fafnir steps down from the throne. With no heir, they look in the high class for a replacement. He becomes a Lord.
- Khathelela is chosen to take the throne and becomes Queen. She was a Priestess known by all (the nurse who oversaw all initiations), and was a littermate of Unyezi and aunt to Alcmene and so is part of the Royal line. (Owned by katersaur)
- Khathelela marries Thoth, he becomes King. A relationship that was already leading up to marriage, they make everything official and Thoth, an old-blood member of the pride and long-time dedicated guard, becomes king. (Owned by Ecavi)
- Kibetinyota, a high class lioness who was made an apprentice as a cub but lost her position when the pride relocated and she was lost with some others, is trained by Khathelela and takes her place as the Nurse Priestess.
For the time being, Alcmene and Fafnir's offspring are being allowed to keep their titles of Prince/Princess. Any that choose to take a different rank should let me know so I can shuffle them on the memberlist.
