The Ilanga'Izwe Plot

In June, a contest was run with the hope of luring in new players and having a little fun with the characters. A plot was planned out for them but the RP never managed to really take place so I am here to tell you all what was supposed to have happened. The following is an approximate timeline, starting shortly before any of the contest lions become Mwezi'Johari members. I included births just to kind of set up the general time frame for everybody and not just the plot lions.

Plot Timeline

- Anhur and Maha (Kibetinyota's parents) are killed while out hunting with Dusana.

- The Mwezi group (Kibetinyota, Uchanjaa, Nkosazana, Dusana and Irja) make it back to the pride and are welcomed home happily.

- The full moon arrives, they all officially are welcomed back home and Kibetinyota and Uchanjaa are married. Mawu gives birth to five healthy cubs (by Ulivuma), making them high class.

- The Ilanga group finally finds the Mwezi'Johari lands but hesitate on barging right in and asking to join.

- Some of the Ilanga group are spotted near the borders by three guards of the Mwezi'Johari.

- Dusana crosses paths with the guards on their way to find someone to inform of the sighting and panicks, revealing that it was the Ilanga group that attacked her, Anhur and Maha while on the hunting trip.

- The Pride becomes more wary, guards work in groups of two minimum and keep better watch on things around the borders.

- Dusana secretly wanders out to the borders and runs into Mirihi, revealing her true identity as a former Ilanga princess intending to get revenge on the Mwezi. She asks her old friend for help and Mirihi agrees.

- Kobe'gumu enters the lands and is greeted by Baba'nyota, who informs him of the accusation against him but agrees to take him to see the King and Queen upon learning one of their group, Ukali'masa, is expecting cubs.

- Kobe'gumu and Queen Alcmene talk. Kobe'gumu denies having any part in the murder of Anhur and Maha and confidently backs up his group, saying none of them would have done such a thing. Between assurances of innocence and the pregnant Ukali'masa, they are allowed to enter the lands under probation until the next full moon when they can officially join.

- Ukali'masa gives birth to four healthy cubs under the light of the last quarter moon, making them middle class.

- Madaha, a lioness visiting from another pride, gives birth to eight healthy cubs (by Kivuli'mwezi) under the waning crescent moon, making them lower-middle class.

- Nerit gives birth to six healthy cubs (by Unyezi) under the waxing crescent moon, making them lower-middle class. Taking place about two weeks after the Ilanga lions join, the pride lets down their guard and this allows for a generally distracted night. Dusana and Mirihi make their move, finding Alcmene alone and attacking. Just when things are looking especially bad for the Queen, Baba'nyota appears and saves her, killing both Dusana and Mirihi in the process. Alcmene is seriously injured, Baba'nyota less so but not in good shape either. Dusana's true identity is widely revealed but the only ones who know the full story are unable to explain just yet and suspicion is back on the Ilanga lions.

- Alcmene is isolated in her den and the healing process is overseen mainly by Shira and Miakoda who, combining their own knowledge with some from other pride members, are able to help her recover safely.

- As the full moon approaches, Ally is well enough to be out and about (though not 100%) and she explains what Dusana did and how Mirihi was involved. The other Ilanga lions are initiated as planned (Ukali's cubs are nursed by one of the slaves who recently had cubs until their mother is awake).

Summary

- Dusana joined the Mwezi'Johari group from the contest, masquerading as an old member. She killed Kibetinyota's parents and blamed it on an ambush, later telling the Mwezi'Johari it was the other Ilanga'Izwe members in order to keep them out of the pride so she could get revenge for her old pride and her family.

- Dusana and Mirihi are killed after attempting to murder the queen, Alcmene and Baba'nyota are injured but alive. Suspicion on the other Ilanga lions grows until Alcmene is well enough to explain that it was only Dusana and Mirihi who were in on the plot.

- All Ilanga members are initiated at the next full moon. Ranks will be posted below.

I apologize for the huge delay in bring all of this to an end. You may play as if all of this has happened, but how long it has been will depend. Immediate reactions would all be backlog, most of the cubs mentioned here are either grown or close to growing so ICly.. it has been awhile.
