My dad informs me he's taking MY car to be fixed. I wondered how he would do that when I have the only keys, he told me it's important to have a working car. I'm like what was the point of getting my own car if it isn't mine?

I bought this car so I could be independant and because being stuck living with my patents I needed SOMETHING that was mine, but clearly they feel like they can just take it without asking.

I'm sick of my family telling me what to do with MY car, and if I don't do as they want they'll just steal my car and do as they please.

I SWEAR! if my car goes missing I'm reporting it as stolen.

Well I not only legally own my car, I've paid for everything myself. And tonight I lost any respect left for my father. I heard him say he can't stand to look at my mom and that she needed to lose 50lbs in the next few weeks or he'd leave. Now those of you who know me well, know I'm a bit of a health nut, an it bothers me my mom
is fat simply because she can barely walk between her arthritis and heel spurs and being educated in health I know one of the most important factors in managing it is maintaining healthy weight. But he just cares about himself, says he wants a wife who weighs less. Yup, my father, douchbag like all the men in my life.

awe Im sorry Gabby,thats a horrid thing for him to say,its not her fault that she cannot get the proper exercise,I would like to see what he would look like if he carried,and gave birth to 2 kids,and had trouble moving.

He has his own ******** truck! This is purely him needing to control my life. I did hide my keys, I just hope my spares don't turn up they've been lost for months.

As for my mom, she was pretty calm, she seemed less upset than me. She must have left before the worst of it, she even DEFENDED him, saying he just gets that way when he's drunk (which is often). Look, it's understandable he wants her to lose weight, but saying he can't stand to look at her and that she better lose 50lbs in the next few weeks TO MY BROTHER! I mean first off that's physically impossible! And you don't tell someone that about their mother! My brother us trying to reason with him an keep em together, that is not fair for him an I think their better off separating.

I told my mom if she wants to lose weight I'll do anything I can to help her. But that she should do it for HER not for him. Cause he's just selfish and only cares about himself. He's miserable because his wife is fat SERIOUSLY!? At least he has a ******** wife. I can't believe my mom puts up with that s**t. I told her she shouldn't. He's no prize! He's bald, and has rotten teeth, and drinks every day.

I told my mom today she should toss my dad out the house. She just said "ya, like I could do that" sarcastically. Not, oh we love each other we'll work it out. Sounds to me like she thinks she doesn't have that option. Or maybe she figures we can't afford to live without him.

I haven't seen him in almost two full days. He's gone when I wake up, and I stay in my room till he goes to sleep. I'm ASSUMING he knows I overheard him and is also avoiding me. But he can still complain to my mom about my room not being clean. evil

Yeah..so i just kinda popped in and skimmed, but it sounds like your dad's a bit of an a*****e.

That bit about your moms weight was just awful..I'm glad you're a much nicer person than me, because I would seriously hurt my father if he ever said that to a woman.

And about your car..
at first I thought maybe your dad was just being nice and trying to 'help his little girl out' but then I read other posts and decided that that was unlikely. Have you gotten it back? and was anything actually wrong with it?

THAT b*****d!!!!!! I'm sorry to say that about your daddy...I would ******** kill my dad if he even spat that out...My dad is nothing like that.At our house,we break something of ours we have to fix it...Not our dad.....Thats how he was raised so that how he taught me and my siblings.Keep your keys hidden.Oh take your dads truck to get 'fixed'
