Not too long ago, I woke-up from a nap to find someone with reflective eyes at the foot of my bed. I thought it was my mother at first wearing glasses, and it was dark out so I couldn't see, but the figure was too tall. And as my eye began to focus, I saw a red man with horns of a ram staring at me. I immediatly went into a ball and started praying, then unballed myself five minutes later.

My problem is that I can't tell if it was a dream or reality. It could have been a dream because it is unlikly something like this would happen, and I just woke-up from a nap. However, it could have been reality because it has been over half a year since I had watched or read anything involving demons, so there was nothing to provoke the dream.

So, was it a dream or reality?

It sounds like sleep paralysis to me. At least the visual hallucinations aspect of sleep paralysis anyway.

A dream most likely. Humans have a very wild imagination

I also agree with Obscurus, however I still suggest caution. Never know what demons are truly capable of...or angels for that matter.

Experiencing only ONE symptom only ONCE, I seriously doubt that its sleep paralysis.

So you assume it's a demon instead? I don't get full-on sleep paralysis, but I have woken up more than once and seen some crazy s**t before I cleared my eyes and woke up completely. Keep track of when stuff like that happens and you may find it occurs more than just the once.

This may seem like a somewhat strange question, but were any of the circumstances surrounding when you went to sleep, where you were sleeping, etc., different from usual, or just weird at all? Also, do you normally take naps, or did the urge to do so just suddenly seem to come over you out of nowhere? (Like you absolutely had to sleep right then?)

The reason I ask is, I used to be involved with the occult and such, Luciferianism to be more exact, actually, and I used to occasionally have visions (which I'm pretty much certain were a result of what I was involved in at the time). I was always able to discern them from ordinary dreams because I would always have them after feeling that I absolutely had to suddenly sleep at the most bizarre times of the day for me, and I would always manage to fall asleep in strange places and in very uncomfortable positions and such whenever I had one. (There were also strange details about the dreams themselves that always let me distinguish them, but since you were awake, that's probably not useful.)

Now, I have NO IDEA whatsoever if what happened to me is the case in every situation involving demons, or whether it was some kind of vision-related thing or what; this is all just speculation. I'm definitely not an expert in these types of things; I'm just wondering if perhaps if you had the same sorts of experiences if it would be a clue as to whether it was anything demon-related (since my experiences certainly were). It's quite likely that I'm totally wrong, but I thought I'd ask just in case the situations were similar, as it might help somewhat to determine the cause of your experience if there actually is some kind of pattern when it comes to these things.

I'm not assuming its a demon, mostly because it was so stereotypical looking, like something Hollywood would come up with. The closest thing that ever happened to this was when I saw a 3-D shadow in the shape of a person, but that stayed there for a good 15 minutes at least. And also, I dont see things when I'm groggy, I just say really weird things that don't make sense.

When people start to dream, your mind switches from you conscious to your subconscious. If you open your eyes when dreaming, then you will see whatever your subconscous omits to your thoughts. Sleep Paralysis occurs when you get that feeling, but you cannot move. That is because you are trying to move your body with your subconscious, which really cannot work.

Without some kind of objective verification I'm not sure that what you've experienced, even if it's "real", can be considered real.

That is, if it's not bothering you then I wouldn't worry about it.

I also agree with Obscurus, however I still suggest caution. Never know what demons are truly capable of...or angels for that matter.

If you're a follow of Christ, they are capable of nothing. The only thing they have is the whole fear factor by making you scared, but they're nothing to be afraid of. It's hard to grasp, but it is true. check it ouuttt.

OP, you were most likely having sleep paralysis, are having anxiety due to something going on in your life, or it really was a demon that God was allowing you to see for some reason. I reccommending handling any and all stress in your life, and give up your worries to God. Also pray and ask on whether or not it was real or fake. We aren't going to know.

Christianity teaches you that Jesus had the power to combat demons and place control over them, never said they couldn't do anything. Only to place faith in him and he shall help protect you.

Apparently some rule is that demons and fallen angels can only do so much up to a certain point due to the limitations God place upon them. That seems more like the God we know and love don't you think? Using demons to test our faith while not letting them do too much damage. Matthew 10:28 gives some evidence to this.

for some reason this reminds me of my early childhood when everyone told me if you don't believe in monsters they can't hurt you... that went over well... lol, also heard the same thing about following god and they couldn't hurt you... once again... that went over well...
