So you just got your very first powered EndGame character and you're wondering... now what? Well, seeing as E|TfC is all about myths, you're going to need a place to record your legend. That's where a gospel comes in handy!
What's a gospel, you ask? It's just a local phrase for what you might be familiar with as a "diary" or a "journal." It's a recording of your character's journey from Newbie to Cultist and beyond, and here we're going to tell you all about how to set one up.
Part 1. Thread creationThis right here is the subforum for powered character diaries. If your character is a civilian or a blacksuit, their diary goes in the "logbooks" subforum. If you are making a diary for a Player and you are not in the subforum titled "Gospels," you are
doing it wrong. So make sure you're in the right place!
The first thing to do is format your thread title right. A correct thread title reads:
:The Gospel According to: [Name]So, for example, if your character's name is Susie, your thread title should be:
:The Gospel According to: SusieIn your first post, you should have your cert and any sort of introductory statements you want. You can also jazz up your thread with banners, font colors, etc. It's your playground, have fun.
Although you might not use all of it, we recommend reserving the whole front page (fifteen posts).
Part 2: Profile informationIf you've obtained a character, you've probably already got a completed profile template. Just in case you haven't, though, you can find one
here. If your profile hasn't been approved by staff already, you'll need to get it cleared before you can play, but that shouldn't stop you from setting up your diary. (Characters won through RP contests are considered automatically approved, assuming the profile hasn't been significantly altered since the contest.)
With your shiny, completed profile in hand, you now need to copypasta it into your diary. It should go in the second or third post depending on the layout you're using, somewhere easy for us to find. Other than that, though, the layout and contents of your diary is up to you!
Part 3: Well, except for one thing...Somewhere on the front page of your diary, you need a post outlining your fulfillment of growth requirements by linking the RPs and tallying points. The exact growth requirements will be covered in the next post, but if you put in for growth and your requirements are not tallied somewhere we can easily find them, we maintain the right to hold your power-up hostage until you get it all sorted out!
