--- Akatsuki Entrance ---
The Akatsuki Base is buried deep inside the mountains past the borders of the fire country, but is only accessible through the paths which run through the Chakra Forest. Once exiting the forests, there is a small stream which runs across the edge of the forest exit, and beyond that, the base of the mountains, which appears to be nothing but a sheer rock wall. To the members of the Akatsuki however, it is the entrance to their base, well disguised and secure from the outside world.
The mountain itself is shielded with a dense field of chakra which repels any attempt to enter the village by way of earth tunneling jutsu or other means, and blocks all vision into the mountain by means of specialized doujutsu or tracking jutsu. The stream separating the mountain from the forests is lined with lightning traps, which when triggered, send strong currents through the waters, instantly shocking anyone who steps into the river. The entrance itself is seamlessly inlaid into the rock face and can only be opened by way of scanning an active Akatsuki ring past a small projection across the rocky surface. When an active ring is scanned, the rock face opens up for 20 seconds before closing. This is the only way to access and gain entrance into the base.

 Konaga Sai| Konaga Clan | Akatsuki | Jounin | RPC Profile | Having made his way through the Chakra Forests quickly and skillfully given the number of journeys he had made in the past, Sai came to the opening near the top of the mountains which gave way to the river between the forest and the entrance to the Akatsuki base. Leaping out of the forests, Sai landed just as a massive wave of pain came over him, causing him to flinch and stumble forward slightly as his body was arrested. Flinching heavily, Sai forced his eyes to open as the wave of pain ripped through his body, his entire body burning as if suddenly ignited on fire.
Unwilling to succumb however, Sai stood up straight, his body fighting his decision, but responding none-the-less as it had been trained to do all his life. He began moving, noticeably slower then before, but still in a forward momentum as he came to the banks of the small river lined with traps. Panting heavily from the recent shooting pains, Sai waited for them to pass and then made his maneuver, crossing the lake in a single bound as he acrobatically flipped through the air and safely landed on the other side. His movements still feeling sluggish, Sai wasted no time in scanning his ring as the wall suddenly rumbled and split revealing a dark passage, which to him was home. Quickly moving into the shadows where he always felt most comfortable, the doors closed behind Sai as he walked the dark corridors on his way to the kitchen for his typical meal.

Chakra: 40|| Stamina: 40|| Status: Healthy || Byakugan: Inactive "The world has forgotten the evil of the Bijuu...The padding of soft foot-falls echoed off the cavernous hall's walls as Atsureki approached the enormous stone doorway, which barred the entrance to the Akatsuki base. But for Atsureki this doorway had become the barrier between him and the outside world. It was strange how much he had come to miss the outside, certainly more than he had expected, but he had understood the reason he needed to remain hidden. Today, however, marked the end of that long separation, for a time at least. Stopping a few feet away from the doorway, Atsureki crossed his arms as he leaned up against the wall, a satisfied smirk gracing his lips as he closed his eyes and waited for the others to arrive.... Konaga Sai| Konaga Clan | Akatsuki | Jounin | RPC Profile | His feet lightly hitting the stone floors of the corridors between the lounge and the meeting room, Sai took a left at the fork towards the entrance of the base. His speed relaxed, he imagined that Zenko would be right behind him as the order that they were leaving was rather firm and Sai did not want to wait any longer then necessary. As he approached the entrance, Atsureki was true to his word, waiting by the entrance for Sai's arrival, looking eager to take his leave of the cave that he had been holed up in for some time. Halfway down the hall however, a sudden surge of pain assaulted him as he leaned to the side of the corridor, his arm shooting out just in time to catch him as the pain overtook him.
Surging through his body like a violent hurricane, Sai's chakra lashed out at him debilitating his muscles which ache and groan beneath the weight of his body. The pain surged for several seconds, his chakra causing stints of pain across all of his muscles like blades stabbed into his limbs and chest repeatedly, his body flaring with heat through the entire experience. When the pain finally subsided, returning to it's normal levels of operable agony, Sai's body felt weakened as he breathed heavily, continuing down the path much slower then before. Pushing himself off the wall, Sai shook his head, defying the debilitating effects of his bloodline at least in as far as revealing he had felt the pain to his student before finally stopping about ten feet away.
Looking at Atsureki, Sai was pleased with his student. He had raised the boy since his infancy as a Genin and had forged him into a weapon. All that remained was to see the benefits of the boy's training. Truthfully, he would be much stronger then the average Chuunin based on his bloodline alone, but no training could ever be a substitute for experience, so it be curious to see how the young man performed. As he approached the boy's position, he came to a stop and figured that he would warn Atsureki of a danger he may face... "Remember Atsureki, outside these walls, everyone you will see is your potential enemy. Do not fool yourself for a second thinking that you can trust an old friend or acquaintance. It is possible however unlikely that you have been listed in the Sunagakure. I doubt very much so however that said information would have been shared with any other village."
"To think that the village would even list you would be overkill as far as I would be concerned, but your bloodline makes you a commodity that they might not be too fond of losing. Simply keep that in mind. When we get to Konoha, I will depend on your bloodline to get us through the door by lending legitimacy to Zenko's cover for us, but you are to let her handle it unless called upon. Once inside, you can use your bloodline connection to learn what you can of the village from your people, but this is not a homecoming reunion... it is a mission. Reveal nothing of yourself or your true origins... simply ask question of them. Understood?" Sai ended his orders with a quiet stare, expecting an answer from the young boy before Zenko arrived.

Though Sai was too far away at the time for Atsureki to truly see the spasm, it was not difficult for the young hyuuga to guess what had caused his master to stop dead in his tracks. Arms still crossed over his chest, Atsureki turned his head towards Sai as he stepped out of the shadow's to speak with him. He understood why Sai might feel the need to warn him of his status as a missing shinobi, but in truth he had known what it would cost him to follow Sai the moment he appeared in the desert. And so it was with a simple nod that Atsureki showed that he understood his master's words.
At the mention of meeting with his clan, however, Atsureki's interest was piqued. Raising one curious eyebrow, Atsureki opened his mouth to speak before simply smiling and saying in a measured tone, "I understand Sensei, might I ask what our cover is, it might help for me to know the specifics ahead of time."... I intend to help them remember." Speed || Agility || Cunning

If the other members of the Akatsuki cared to listen for anything in the direction of the base, they would hear Zenko humming as she continued lightly skipping along, her fingers laced together behind her back. At the moment it seemed as if she didn't have a care in the world, but she was sure that they knew better than to think that. When she arrived within viewing distance of the two males it wasn't hard for see what tension there was between the two. Still being a young adolescent boy, she thought him to be extremely angsty and frustrated with being holed up in the base, unable to do anything but train with nothing to take his frustration out on. She had thought to... 'help' him with his frustration quite a few times, but not while Sai was around, she didn't want him to think that she was a whore.
However, none of that mattered since she was still in a good mood, as she arrived on the scene, only a few feet away from either of them, Zenko unlaced her hands and waved to the both of them. "Hi~" She greeted with a cheerful tone, a smile plastered on her face from her earlier thoughts.
... I'll just sit over there, and revel in my complete freedom."

Konaga Sai| Konaga Clan | Akatsuki | Jounin | RPC Profile | Hearing Zenko's approach follow his own question and coincide with Atsureki's, Sai waited for Zenko's arrival making no note of her wave or greeting beyond to use it as his cue to answer Atsureki's question, "I will leave the exact details of our cover for Zenko to figure out as she will be the one getting us through the gates. Your bloodline will legitimize our story, but sufficed to say we are travelers from a distant village and you wished to visit the home of your people as you have been estranged from them since birth. We shouldn't need to use Henge at all for this as neither of you would be well known to Konoha. I on the other hand will make minor use of a Henge."
"If it is discovered that a technique is being used, it will be easy enough to pass off. However, you are not to speak at the gates unless spoken to and even then, keep it brief. The less we give them, the less they will have to incriminate us with. Simply allow Zenko to do what she does best." With that, Sai nodded to both members and activated the entrance to the base to open with his ring. A loud shuffling of rock and machinery mixed together could be heard as the narrow corridor briefly shook, only to reveal a light at the end of the tunnel.
"Jouji will join us in his own time as always, we needent wait for him." With that, Sai walked forward quickly, passing the remainder of the corridor before emerging into the light with a small squint taking a few more steps to turn and await the arrival of the rest of the Akatsuki. Finally, after almost 2 years, the Akatsuki was on the move again. You would never be able to tell it from his demeanor, but a sense of anticipation and excitement energized Sai and readied him for the trip, despite the drain he knew the traveling would have on his body.

Chakra: 40|| Stamina: 40|| Status: Healthy || Byakugan: Inactive "The world has forgotten the evil of the Bijuu...Sensing Zenko's approach long before he heard it, Atsureki cast his pale gaze down the long dark corridor leading into the heart of the base, watching the approach of the beautiful young Konaga. As she stepped into the pool of light surrounding the entrance and offered her greeting, Atsureki quickly averted his gaze, attempting to hide the fact by looking back towards the great stone doorway. Though it could easily be taken as an offense, Atsureki did not turn his gaze away out of any kind of dislike, far from it. But he knew that the girl's feelings lay elsewhere, and there was no sense longing after something that would never be.
Eyes still locked on the stone doorway, Atsureki listened silently as Sai explained the basis of their plan once more. Even if the details hadn't been fleshed out yet, the plan seemed sound, and the fact that his heritage lent believability to the lie only made it all the more clever. Musing over how best to approach his kin, the corner of Atsureki's mouth twisted into a small smirk. Perhaps I will be a refugee from cloud, the village was all but destroyed after all, and the chances of anyone disputing the claim will be slim, mused Atsureki, already laying out the foundation for his own ruse.
At the mention of Jouji, a small shudder ran down Atsureki's spine. The man seemed harmless enough, but his lack of respect for personal space was a little unnerving at times, and downright creepy at others. But as the gate finally opened, all thoughts of Jouji were immediately forgotten. Stepping out into the light, Atsureki closed his eyes and inhaled deeply, a smile spreading across his face as the fresh air filled his lungs. After two years of being confined to the dimly lit corridors of their mountain home, it was like finally being able to stretch after years of staying still. As Sai stopped and waited for the rest of them to follow, Atsureki sent a pulse of chakra to his eyes, causing the veins to bulge as his doujutsu was activated.
Without a moment's hesitation, Atsureki opened his eyes and took off into the forest. If he was going to be leading the group, then there was no reason why he couldn't get his head start now. Jumping into the forest's thick canopy, Atsureki sailed from branch to branch as he cast his gaze far and wide for anything out of the ordinary. At his current pace, there was little doubt that the others would be able to keep up, and if he saw any need to turn back then it would be a simple thing to do so.... I intend to help them remember." Taking note of the last bit of the answer involving her, Zenko nodded to both of them and spoke just before Atsureki left. "I'll think of something on the way." She said, smiling to herself because she already knew Sai and her's role. All that was left would be Jouji once he caught up. The group was on the verge of being a bit too large to travel through the gate together, but she was sure that she could manage it. Still cheerful the kunoichi set off ahead of ahead of Sai toward the chakra forest.

Konaga Sai| Konaga Clan | Akatsuki | Jounin | RPC Profile | Watching his team rush into the woods, Sai was about to make his own exit from the scene into the Chakra Forests when a sudden wave of pain overtook him. Immediately grasping the sides of his head as a massive headache came on, another stroke of pain flooding him as if a sword were shoved through his skull down the length of his body. Cringing under the crushing pain of the feeling, Sai's body ignited in heat and pain as he dropped to one knee, his teeth gritting down as his mind and body was overtaken by the feeling for a few seconds. When finally his senses came back to him to the point where he could register that he was on one knee, Sai forced his eyes open, focusing on the surroundings to help calm his immense pain.
Eventually, as the pain died down, his mind and faculties returned to him, but left him exhausted, breathing heavily and weakened. Pulling himself to his feet, Sai was glad that there was no one around to see his sudden pain, and he took a few seconds to allow himself to breathe deeply and recover. As the entrance way to the base closed behind him, Sai began to move towards the forest, but he found himself slower again and felt his muscles aching even just under his own weight. thankfully, being far quicker then the average shinobi, Sai was able to quickly catch up with Zenko, easily locating her presence within the forest due to their innate connection.
Pulling up beside her, he slowed to match her speed and movements, moving in precise unison with his fellow Konaga as they made their path through the forest behind Atsureki. Though remaining at her side as they traveled, Sai said nothing of the pain he felt, or anything else for that matter... he simply traveled beside her, ever vigilant of the dangers of the forest, ready to respond at a seconds notice if needed, hoping that another wave of pain would not overtake him again during their travels.

The great rocky wall that separated the Akatsuki base and the rest of the world seemed to groan in protest as it was forced to split apart once more, after having been opened so recently. Jouji seemed utterly nonchalant and uncaring of the stony edifice pains, as it metaphorically birthed his presence to the outside. A cloud in the distance caught Jouji's eye and distracted him as he stared at its wispy form as it vaguely took on the shape of a ram, this amused him; he liked rams. In the time he spent watching the cloud a normal person would have gone through the doorway, this time had expired however, and thus the great doorway began to seal shut once more prompting Jouji to begin strolling through escaping through the temporary hole with mere millimeters to spare as the teeth of the earthen maw that was the entrance closed behind him with crushing force.
"I wonder if I'll see a ram today?"
Jouji rocked onto his heel in subdued excitement at the thought but as he rolled forward onto the front of his feet he rocketed forward and up into the canopy of the forest, swinging from branch to branch like a monkey with some degree of circus training.
