I had just a few mins ago. Got a hacker attempt from a member sadly. He didn't even try to play mod. Here is the message and who he is:
I sent him to a PM saying I was reporting him. Then his reply that he would report me too. But I told him, he couldn't report me for anything. And that he will soon banned. But I did report that hacking PM. Sadly, I don't know how long it takes Mods to get to these PMs.

Sadly, now he is saying he reported me and then I got another random email. That she reported me for hacking her. But I shouldn't have to worry right? Since I show no proof of knowing them or anything in the gifts or trades? And I didn't respond to them again. But I do wish I didn't tell him I was reporting him. I acted on impulse.

Why must people hack others on Gaia? It's idiotic and crazy. Gaia should ban hackers before they hack anyone else on Gaia.

Me either. Luckily, I opened up the link in another tab. Then it said crap like I will get a free 100k and Angelic Halo for putting in my username, pass, and birthday, then email. I reported the email exactly. But he said he reported me too. But I shouldn't have to worry, right? Since they research and look into these things.

Yeah, he might have reported you, but I don't think anyone's going to do anything to you. You're actually not supposed to confront the person about it, just report them. It's considered flaming or something along those lines to confront the person and say "I'm reporting you." Just report him, ignore him, and save the reference code. If he continues to be a bother, put him on ignore.
And your report could take up to four months, or something like that, before it's ever read. @.o You might be better off reporting it directly to a mod.

You don't need to PM a mod about the PM. Just click on the Report PM and then send it in as scamming PM, that's it.

So then when you Report the PM, it just goes straight to a mod or correct mod? And him and another user, tried to PM me. Which luckily, I didn't respond and put them on ignore. That they would report me for hacking them. They can't really fo that without proof, right? Especially, since I don't know them.

Yes, it is a good idea NOT to confront the person. They will usually only threaten to get you banned for reporting them.
However, now they will be guilty of not only a hacking attempt, but making a false report, since you have done nothing wrong.
But be careful. The person might try and get into your account through some program and use your account for evil purposes. I'm not saying it will happen, just that it is a possibility, and a reason why you should never PM those people back. I don't mean to scare you, but there are people out there that will try and use a keylogger. If you're scared, install Malwarebytes Anti-Malware and do a scan. Virus scans do not always find everything.

Oh, snaps. >< OKies, I have that actually. Actually just now. I had a weird debugger just pop up. But I canceled it. I'm in the library. Should I just transfer to a different computer?
