Ugly Americans, a show on Comedy Central, focuses on a social whatever helping the supernatural integrate with regular humans in New York.
They did a whole episode parodying Twilight. Not so much a parody as it is an a**-licking. Blake (Edward) is portrayed in an ABSOLUTELY FLAWLESS light ALL THE TIME (Mary Sue) and the b***h that's supposed to be Bella (Author Avatar)...Well, sh talks a lot and goes into nonsensicle rants, but this trait vanishes halfway one third through the episode. Otherwise, she's actually normal, being the second character on the show to be normal.
Again, it wasn't a quick parody, it was a half-hour long worship of the series.
Discuss.

Sheesh, an awful lot of shows have been paying serious lipservice to those godawful books lately. What gives? Are they all trying to cash in on Meyers 15 minutes of fame at once? That is how stock markets crash people....

It's gotten to the point where I just want this all to end. Loving Twilight, hating Twilight, we should all just shut up about Twilight and let it die.
Of course, the only way to do that is to kill SMeyer, but still...

See, this is why I no longer watch television. I hate all the vampire/supernatural crap these shows have been abusing. And television just isn't as good as it used to be... or maybe that's just my opinion.
Anyway, all this vampire crap is ruining everything. evil

How have you seen it already? I thought that episode didn't air until tommorrow?
Still, I was a little excited when I saw that preview because I thought for sure they were going to rip a new one, but if this is true, I'll be disapointed. I liked this show. Especially after the "Treegasm" episode last week. (The fact that they got away with something so obvious this early in the show's run amazes me.)

That episode skipped us. ;_; And I love that Randall character. @Jerba: YES!

Ugly Americans wasn't a great show anyway. No harm no foul, right?

KingJack! Blues Operator I bet it'll make a rip or two on it. I saw the episode. It didn't. I'm surpised, I thought that was suppoused to be one of those shows in the vein of South Park or something, poking at popculture stupidity... but an a** licking, eh? That's too bad, but I'll probably never see it anyway.

It was just shown for the first time about an hour ago.
It made plenty of sleights. Bella Tristan kept trying to sound deep and meaningful and taking steps out of her way to be "deep" and "dramatic."
Edward Blake wasn't hit very hard at all, except his revalation at the end that he was-- gasp!-- BRITISH! (highlight for spoiler) If anything, he was displayed as amazingly perfect.
It wasn't all Twilight, though-- it kind of hit on the entire vampire aspect of Ugly Americans, and had a lot of appearances by (parodies of) other vampires as well.
Is Ugly Americans ruined by this? No. They chose not to hate Twilight, but they pointed out how annoying Bella was. Should we hate something just for not hating Twilight as much as we do? Does it make the show any less awesome?
No. So calm down.

Sauce Control Ugly Americans wasn't a great show anyway. No harm no foul, right? It may not have been incredible, but it was pretty funny most of the time. The only truely great bit last night was the "Mad Larry" disease that caused people to turn into Larry King. rofl The Blake character made me want to hit someone though. He was portrayed and litterally perfect. Not ONE SINGLE FLAW.
