If you Didn't Know Me then You Weren't worth my Time
Name: Marx Banesfield
Nicknames: Mark, Xy.. (only when being teased or told to shut up), Bane.. as in "
of my existence"
Age: 17
and a half, he'd like to point out Birthday: August 29
Sign: Virgo
Blood Type: AB+
Fav. Food: Anything spicy
Hated Food: Brussels Sprouts
School: Hillworth Grammar School
Hobbies: Piano, Jumprope, Collecting
Piano- While he isn't one to just sit around and listen to the music when someone else plays, Marx is fond of tickling the ivories himself. As long as no one is really in hearing range to criticize his playing. He mainly plays when doing homework, sneaking off to a music room and playing bits and pieces of tunes in between turning pages, to have the music for his companion.
Jumprope- Yes, jumprope. He likes spinning and turning the ropes more than the actual jumping between them, but when asked he's hard-pressed to say no to a round of double dutch or any jumprope game. Just let him secure his ponytail and he's all over it.
Collecting- Rocks and marbles. He is particularly picky though, when it comes to these small collections. He'll only keep ones that are, or have brown, red, orange, or black in them. Any other colors he thinks are unworthy. He is very fond of rocks with stripes in them, and has a few bits of sandstone and the like proudly lined up on his desk. He keeps his marbles in an old metal lunchbox with a couple worn cloths inside it to limit the racket of them hitting the sides. His rock collection is just spread out through his room. The main little displays are his bookshelf, and desk.
Gemstone: Zircon [Talismanic Virgo stone]
Virtues: Dedicated, Open
Dedicated- Once his mind is set on a task, Marx will not let it drop. Failure is not acceptable, and he won't let him talk himself down from accomplishing his goals. Or anyone else, for that matter.
Open- If an ear is needed to be lent, he's more than willing to take the job and listen to a rant, complaint, issues, whatever the complaintant needs to get off their chest. On the reverse, he's not above speaking his mind or having a secret idea shared with someone who can listen in, and possibly offer a better version of it. Or, just to listen to him talking and not complain to him about it later.
Flaws: Social Flea, Conceited, Easy to Bore
Social flea- He has to have someone around to talk with. HAS to. If there isn't someone there to talk to him, or listen to whatever it is he has to say, well then he'll go and find them. He doesn't like being alone at all, unless it's just to do his homework; once that's out of the way he's hunting for company again.
Conceited- You know he looks good, he knows he looks good, and he has to point it out whenever he's in a great mood. Or a bad mood. His pride and true love is his hair. If ever it gets displaced, or stars forbid, the tie comes loose, he drops everything to set it right again and make sure it's JUST right before picking up where he left off. He sees his reflection as one of the much better looking people in school. But when he encounters someone that makes his looks, in his own eye, falter and pale in comparison, then he's right back in there primping and carrying himself just a bit prouder to come off as not caring there's someone better. Or really it's just to get eyes on him instead of the better-looking.
Easy to bore- Unfortunately, if a topic isn't of interest to him (like, oh, say it isn't ABOUT him) he can lose interest pretty quickly. And when he loses interest he will either start toying with his hair, or fraying any loose string in his reach while he turns the other way and just blatantly ignores whoever it talking until they finish. If he doesn't have anything to mess with and isn't in the mood to mess with his hair, then he can just start snapping at them to drop whatever subject and pay attention to him. Even if he doesn't have anything to say that needs the attention.
Physical Description:Hair: Blue-black hair that is always, always neatly tied at the base of his neck to hang down in a ponytail to just above his hips. He never lets it fall loose, ever.
Eyes: Almond-shaped green.
Face: An oval face that's just the slightest bit thin, from those times he puts aside eating in favor of fixing his hair. He has a slight hint of a tan, mostly because he figures the darker color to his skin shows off that dark hair much better than being pale would.
Body: He's on the lean side of average. Jumproping in his spare time outside is a good way to keep in shape, and he'd be hard-pressed to let himself lapse into anything that could "lose his figure."
Fashion: Marx likes simple things, but they have to have a touch of flash somewhere. Like his collection of rocks and striped marbles, little bands of accent color never hurt. In fact, they can only help an outfit stand out and catch eyes better. He goes for darker colors though unless it's a rich burnt red or orange, bright colors are too flashy for his liking.
