 Lee was playing in her favoritest place, her Mommies' meadow. She really liked it 'cause she had awesome memories of her family being here, and all the fun times she'd spent with her Mommies and her siblings and her family.
Right now she was having tons of fun stalking a butterfly around the meadow. She'd watch it on a flower for a bit, then when she got bored of just watching it flutter its wings, she'd pounce by it (but not on it, 'cause she'd feel really bad if she hurt the pretty thing), and watch it flutter off to another flower.
She wanted to watch the butterfly fly again, so she got into a crouch, getting ready to pounce...

 "GOTCHA!" Ricky shouted, pouncing her new friend before she could pounce the butterfly. Ricky had been watching Lee watch the butterfly curiously, barely keeping all her giggles to herself. It was so fun, watching Lee be all happy and fun and stuff.
"Hi!" Ricky said with a bright beam, happily pinning Lee beneath her. "Didja miss me? I missed you! All of the people I know, 'sides you, are so boring!" Chuffing disgustedly, Ricky jumped off her new friend but didn't go far, easily sliding into a sitting position. She kept half an eye on that butterfly, hoping it wouldn't fly too far away -- she and Lee could have great fun chasing it together.
"This place is pretty," Ricky commented, seeming to notice their surroundings for the first time as she blinked slightly and looked around. "I like it here," Smiling brightly at Lee again, Ricky continued, "How'dja find it?"

"Then you can meet Pink Mommy and Blue Mommy and Wesley and Meadow and Breeze and Meade and everyone else, 'cause they're not boring. They're the complete opposite of boring!
"And I missed you tons and tons, 'cause everyone's busy now with stuff and we don't get to play together anymore." Lee pouted, missing playing together with her siblings, especially the other two members of the Trouble Trio.
"This meadow's where Pink Mommy and Blue Mommy first met, and they love it lots and lots, so they shared it with us, and we all love it lots and lots, too! Isn't it great?" Lee beamed at Ricky-not-Riki.

"That's so great!" Ricky beamed back, tail wagging behind her happily. "It's a good place to love lots and lots, I can see why they would!" Ricky added, still smiling happily.
"Well now you won't be bored neither 'cause I'm here and I'm the opposite of boring too!" Ricky laughed, grinning mischievously before pouncing Lee again. "Gotcha 'gain!" Playfully yawning, the purple fox made a point of squirming around for a minute before flopping down on the quad-colored fox, tail flicking in happiness. "Aaaah. Lee-fox is a comfy bedcouchpillow," Ricky nodded matter-of-factly, smiling to herself. She'd get up if Lee asked her to, but it was true; she was comfortable with Lee, not necessarily on top of her (as one of Lee's paws was digging into her hip. Ricky liked being with her.

"Yeah, you're totally the opposite of--" Lee was cut off when Ricky pounced her again. "Gyah!" Lee squealed.
"Ricky-fox is not a comfy bedcouchpillowsitter!" Lee giggled and squirmed under Ricky, trying to get out from underneath her.
Lee definitely wasn't comfortable being squished by Ricky, but she was having too much fun to mind much. Ricky was way more fun than chasing the butterfly around the meadow!

Ricky laughed and bounced off her new friend, rolling a few feet away from her, though she didn't stay still for long. No, she kept her front half on the ground and waggled her haunches teasingly.
"Come get me!" Ricky giggled, her tail swishing back excitedly. "Betcha can't!" Ricky grinned and made playful growling noises, daring her mutli-colored friend to try. She loved this game.
"C'mon, try!" Ricky hopped back and forth, her front half still staying close to the ground. "Rawr!" Ricky giggled playfully.

"You asked for it," Lee giggled. She faked left, right, left again, before darting off to the right for real, and pouncing on Ricky-not-Riki-maybe-Kiki in nearly one move.
"I'm the champion at this game!" Lee announced proudly. She was one of the most active of her siblings, always playing with someone, and this was her favorite game. Ricky-not-Riki-but-Kiki-would-be-a-good-nickname didn't even stand a chance against Lee-pouncer-champion-of-all-the-world!
"Kiki-fox is a compy bedcouchpillow!" Lee-queen-of-pouncing announced, sounding almost surprised.

Kiki? Who was Kiki? Did she have a supersecret twin that Lee knew about that Ricky didn't? Nooo, that didn't make sense...
"I'm Ricky, not Kiki," Ricky pointed out confusedly, too curious and confused to be uncomfortable under the not-queen-of-pouncing.
"And you aren't the champion 'cause you can't even 'member my name!" Ricky added, pouting adorably, seeming almost hurt. It had only been like five seconds!
"Andand 'cause you stole my word, bedcouchpillow-word-stealerer!"

"Kiki's your nickname, 'cause Ricky-not-Riki is too long of a name, and plus we're friends and friends have to give each other nicknames, 'cause it's like a rule or something!"
Lee, too hyper to hold still, sprawled more out over Kiki-fox. It wasn't as comfortable as before, but she didn't care, 'cause Kikifox was still pinned, so Leefox was still the pounce queen, so it was all okay!
"Andandand 'cause we're friends we get to share words too! 'Cause bedcouchpillow is a good word, so we get to share good words! You could have my words too, but I don't have any words, well at least not yet, but when I do have words you can have them!" Lee nodded enthusiastically in time to her long run-on-sentence.

Ricki considered this for a few moments, then nodded, as this logic seemed sensible enough to her.
"Well you should come up with some woooords so I can have some new words too! 'Cause that would be sooo awesome!" Ricki agreed, then grinned and squirmed out from under Lee. "Ahaha, come get me!" She taunted again, runbouncing away from her new friend.
"Uncomfybedcouchpillower can't catch Queen Kiki!"

"Leefox can so catch Kikifox!" Leefox shouted, as she chased after her friend.
"Nd words aren't things you can just come up with, 'cause if you just come up with them, they're bad words, and you've gotta make sure to come up with good words, and good words take lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and looooooots of time to come up with!" Leefox explained, while still chasing after Kikifox. She'd get her! She would!

"Cannot!" Ricky laughed, bounding away from Lee again. She eventually let the other fox catch her, then enjoyed tussling with her for a few minutes.
"It's okay, I forgive you not having any specialy-special words'a your own yet," Ricky said when she was on top for a moment. Then, she leaned down and licked Lee's cheek simply and quickly, adding, "Words are hard to come up with," She agreed seriously, nodding matter of factly.

"Can so!" Leefox called back, and she did so catch Kikifox again so there!
"I thought that was something only Mommies did," Leefox said, looking confusedly over at Kikifox, when Kikifox licked her cheek.
So, maybe Leefox had been going on about friends like she was an expert when maybe she kindaaasorta wasn't, and maybe that was something friends did, too. Pink Mommy had told her having a mate was like having a best friend, but for always, and that it was a little different than a best friend, too, but Leefox had never figured out how that was different, and now she was really really really confused.

"Oh," Ricky said, pausing for a moment to think about this. "Well, I never knew my mommy or daddy, so I just thought it was something that foxies who liked eachother a lot did," she finished, smiling sheepishly, like she was embarrassed.
"Sorry? I won't do it again, 'cause we aren't Mommies." Ricky nodded sagely, even though as she said it she felt some sort of weird, not-happyness in the bottom of her tummy. Oh, she was sad. How funny.

"I bet it is something foxes who like each other lots and lots and lots do, 'cause Pink Mommy and Blue Mommy like each other very very much, and so they do it, and Leefox likes Kikifox very very much, so we can do it, too!" Leefox grinned at Kikifox, completely oblivious to the fact that she'd slipped into third person. And also to the fact that her logic wasn't quite spot on. It made sense to her, so that was all good and all that mattered!
"Nope, we aren't mommies," Leefox cheerfully agreed, as she flopped down on her back on the ground. "Least not yet, 'cause you gotta have a mate to be a mommy, and I don't have a mate and you don't either." She paused, then looked suddenly intently serious over at Kikifox. "You don't have a mate, right? You'd tell me if you had a mate, right?"
She'd just met Kikifox, so why would it bother her so much if Kikifox had a mate and didn't tell her?
Oh, 'cause they were bestest friends, and bestest friends didn't keep anything from each other. Right, that was it!
