Industrial Row Underground

Industrial Row Station is vital for the transportation of many of Carter City's workers. Outside the gates, several automated ticket vendors sit outside, screens blank due to the loss of power throught Carter City. On the other side of the gates are two platforms. The tunnel runs west and south. The west-bound passage curves slightly south for Carter City College, while the south-bound passage goes direct to Lanzer Square.

The only light is the dull red emitted by the emergency fixtures, powered by a backup generator hidden away somewhere. The tunnels are roughly 15 feet wide, and 14 feet tall, and contain parallel-running tracks. An occasional train sits on the tracks, allowing for varied cover. The third rail is dead.

The squeel of metal on metal reverberated on the subway's walls. It was a low, quiet sound, barely noticeable even by those close by. But whatever was making the sound, it was out of sight, if not out of mind.

The squeel stopped. Four pairs of kechunks sounded in the long tunnel.

Then all was eeriely quiet. Shadows danced under the red emergency lights of the tunnel. They were moving towards a train, frozen on the southbound track towards downtown. A shadow scrambled up, prying one of the doors open with inhumanly strong fingers. It pulled its bulk inside. Its red eyes scanning the car, finding no signs of life.

All that was left, was to find the position. The position. It must find point Gamma. Then, point Charlie. Then, Point Foxtrot. Then... then... then... then... then... then...

No. Point Gamma first.

Pint Gamma was reached. Orders. Orders. Secure point Gamma. Check. Defensive position on point Gamma. Check. Bunker. Initiating Bunker Protocol.

The shadow worked outside of the train car. An angry red white glow, so harsh compared to the soft lights of the emergency lights burned in the tunnel. There was a horrid, burning smell, that could be picked up all the way back to the Industrial subway station platform, before it finally dispersed.

Some people say a man is made out of mud. A poor man's nothing but muscle and blood. Muscle and blood and skin and bones...

THe track was cut short in the bot's mind, as it looked over the progress. 4 feet. Nice, but not enough. The subroutine continued to fire away at the programed path, continuing the work slowly but surely.

Bunker Protocol Status Update:

Phase 1, complete.

Phase 2, 4% complete.

The sound of splashing water, could be heard in the tunnel now, towards the end the burning smell had been coming from just moments ago. Whatever was going on down there... was probably very confusing.

Phase 2, 10% complete.

/comand line: End Phase 2. Phase 2 complete.

Phase 2, 100%.

Phase 3, commencing. Initiate Phase 3 of Bunker Protocol.

Phase 3 initiated.

There was a whine, a squeel of metal, and the burning smell started coming from the southbound end of the tunnel. The smell was typical, of burn materials. The tunnel air was starting to get hot, jumping up towards the 80s now, and rising slowly.

Phase 3, 1%.

((To Borrow Jello's thing. Seems like a good idea...))

Day Two- Does Something Happen?

The robot, has been left alone. It seems to be following some strange protocol, merely called "The Bunker Protocol" at a position it calls "Point Gamma", a position in one of the dead trains of the subway, on the southbound track. Things have been strange there. There was the sound of splashing. Burning smells, metalic clanks and inhuman clawing.

But still, no one knows what is going on there. And won't know, until they actually get here and see.

What is this robot? What is it planning? Why has no one come after it?

Stay tuned for the next installment of...

The Broken City!

(Here. You can do something now! Yay!)

Vincent quietly walked down the stair case. The smells of burning and unusual sounds made him very wary, and he knew to be cautious. He raised his two hammers in front of his face. It was fortunate that he came straight from his job at the construction site, as he had many of his tools with him already. He flipped his head back slightly, to prevent his hard hat from covering his eyes as he finally stepped down the final step. What would happen?

(Wen Li)

Wen quietly slunk down the rail next to his teammate, his dark clothing making him hard to pick out in the area. the only noticable thing being his straw colored hat which rustled slightly as he came to a stop just behind Vincent. Eyes scanning the area carefully, sniffing the air, smelling smoke. He searched his vast knowledge of fire and explosives to see if he could fin dout what type of smoke it was.

There was the smell of smoke in the air. Not wood smoke, but the more acidic smell of dirt, rocks, and metal being burned away. There was a pounding sound, coming from down the south end of the tunnel. Faint, it was steady, almost rhythmic. Pound. Pound. Pound.

The red emergency lights were still on. But other than that, there was no sign of life on the platform. The turnstiles, the loading and unloading zone, all of it just looked like everyone, disappeared.

There wasn't even signs of battle. No burn marks, bullet holes, bodies. Nothing.
